In Regards to One Submission
Posted 5 years agoIt's been 4 years since my last journal, but due to recent events in the world as of late, I figure it was high time I made a change, especially after waking up and learning someone I tied myself has been bashing.
My one submission, Malaysian Kiss, was submitted some odd years ago. I was happily offered a spot in that commission by https://www.furaffinity.net/user/aerys/ , who was, at the time, developing a friendship with! I was excited, I loved the artwork he was commissioning, I just felt baffled that he would offer me the spot. Needless to say, I was stoked and excited.
Fast forward several years to this "grand" year of 2020 and on Twitter it has been brought to my attention that he was part of an Alt-Right Telegram group where he has posted derogatory remarks, "memes", and "jokes" against LGBTQ+ and ESPECIALLY against Black people, going SO FAR as to mock the death of George Floyd...
Don't believe me? Here's the Twitter post linking to the Imgur image caps of said Telegram posts: https://twitter.com/MiniMikeKD/stat.....65194298007552
Needless to say, I was mortified... To think I had respected him as an artist and a stand out member of the macro furry community, to think I OWED him for gracing me with the chance to have free art with him... I felt sick to my stomach...
But in my haste to delete the commission, I forgot to save a link to the artist who drew up the commission for them, so rectify that, I am posting direct links to Short Antic's art accounts:
https://www.furaffinity.net/user/shortybat
https://www.furaffinity.net/user/sh.....antics-furries
Follow them, they make amazingly detailed art!
These are trying times for everyone, but ESPECIALLY for our Black brothers, sisters, and everyone in between, who have had a ruined system against them since their ancestors were sold and bought as victims of warring tribes centuries ago... Please, give our Black friends and family as much support and love as you can muster. Support them in these trying times. Share your platform for them. As a gay white furry veteran, I will always support Black Lives Matter.

New Avatar! [F5]
Posted 10 years agoHey guys! I've been working on a Crypt of the Necrodancer style avatar of Numar for fun! I plan on animating it too since I got the sprite sheets to edit on my Steam profile. I also want to see if I can edit the sprite sheet and put my character into the game as well, but first I need to put these sprites in Photoshop on my other computer and edit them to be transparencies before I can do that. Hell, I still need to make this avatar a transparency before animating it.
Also, I was wondering, would anyone be interested in an avatar with their characters in the CoND sprite style? I can see about making them for Halloween for Halloween and try to edit them as well to be animated. Maybe I could do it for like $5 per animated avatar? What do you guys think?

Super Happy San Japan Fun Time!~ Kawaii~<3
Posted 12 years agoH'okay, that's the last time I make a journal title like that… mehbeh…
Today our family went out to San Antonio to attend the Saturday events of San Japan. The main reason why we went was because my father made the accessories for his friend's daughter who wanted to cosplay as Death Master from Black Rock Shooter. It took my father a total of 12 hours over the span of a couple of weeks. The people were eating up the detail on her costume and just swarmed her. They said they were stuck in one spot for hours on end on Friday, so that made my dad happy. It's a shame his friend didn't print out the business cards like he said he would… he's willing to make props for people, though I dunno if he has a way of shipping huge props over to different states…
Anyways, back on to San Japan, I had a great time looking around, playing video games, amd watching Attack On Titan in one of the show rooms. I WAS gonna attend the Brawl Tournamnet they had, but I was a bit late for registration… Oh well, I had a blast watching the participants. Besides, I can always whoop up on my little brothers on my Wii when they visit next time. >:3
Most of the time I was taking pictures of the cosplayers and fursuiters. In a way, I too was cosplaying… if you think about it. I was wearing my Furries Anonymous shirt and had my broken tail peeking out from underneath my second shirt. I thought it was funny. I also wore my Know Your Roots Mario Mushroom cap and had my husky Beany Baby riding on top of my head. A few of the attendees loved it. I even had someone take my picture because their daughter loved Beany Babies! Now, for the actual cosplayers, the ones I remember taking pictures of were my Death Master friend posing against a Black Rock Shooter cosplayer, a female Aladdin with some nice fabric for the material, a couple of fursuiters wearing a Tom Nook and Big Red style Animal Crossing aprons while carrying a bug net and fishing rod, a Chris Redfield with a Chell carrying a nicely made Portal Gun with a "real" PotAtos attached to it, a nicely made Colonial Marine and Halo Marine with the appropriate Pulse Gun and Needle Guns and several other pics that my scatter brain can't remember. I'll try and submit some pics in the near future.
For the swag, I got a nice Full Metal Alchemist courier sack and a Marisa Kirisame with Reimu Hakurei poster from an artist in the gallery. I know they have an accound here and have a very nicely made furry manga. I'll have to link to their profile later on after I've settled back home. I didn't have much to eat. I bought a few sodas and a banana to tide my hunger over.
Hmm, I can't remember what else to post… my head is starting to ache after so many hours being in the public. If you guys want to know anything else, you can always ask me in notes. I hope you all have a good night. I'm gonna pass out for a bit.

So I Came To Work Today…
Posted 13 years agoAnd guess what we find parked right outside of our office building?
THE MYSTERY MACHINE FROM THE SCOOBY-DOO ANIMATED SERIES!!!
Oh man, you have no idea how much this made our day! XD Driving right up to the parking lot and from a distance you spot a cartoonish blue and lime green van with orange letters on it. Oh lord, I just let my inner Shaggy babble from that point until we got out.
I got some nice shots from all around the van, even the artist's signature on it. My dad even got a nice profile shot with the facility's sign above it. :3 I'll be posting the pics up later today, probably make it in a compilation picture to submit. I'll move the pics after some time to scraps.

Well it seems life hates me more and more every day, first I can't find a job, then my crohn's comes back, now my family is struggling so severely financially that we literally haven't a cent to our names. Dogs are outta food, we're almost out of food, and the car's almost empty on gas, and it's come to the point my parents can't even afford bankruptcy... I seriously dunno what to do anymore, and it pains me to beg or ask for money anymore because I know not everybody is doing well either.. If anybody has some insight or advice on how to raise funds so my family can restock the fridge and such, please just let me know, it's becoming a desperate situation here..
In other news, I've come across a plushie pattern for stitching types here on FA, but I cannot recall who made it. It's in my favorites(somewhere), so I'll hunt for it later and post it here. I plan on possibly starting to make plushies for some sort of income to help the family out, but I'm not sure how well I'll do, since I can barely draw anymore. X-x; Please keep your thoughts out in the open for me and others in this time of need.
IF, and ONLY if you are able to donate even a small amount, NOT taking any out of your rent or food or bill money, please send all donations to slatebluewolf[at]hotmail.com via PayPal... I'm not gonna ask, but I will mention a donation location.
I do hope everybody is well, and thank you to those who have read this message. If you are uncertain of how to help, just spread the word of this journal for me. I can barely do anything anymore at this rate..

Please, if you can't donate, at least spread this journal around so others can hear the word… Thank you for takong your time and reading this journal. *Bows.*

Anywho that was pretty quick and interesting to do Just wanted to test it out after seeing some of my friends doing it And sorry for the lack of punctations My phone is acting up by freezing everytime I use one :/
Edit: I retook the test because I forgot about the traits Here are what they are
Stability results were moderately low which suggests you are worrying, insecure, emotional, and anxious.
Orderliness results were moderately high which suggests you are, at times, overly organized, reliable, neat, and hard working at the expense of flexibility, efficiency, spontaneity, and fun.
Extraversion results were moderately low which suggests you are reclusive, quiet, unassertive, and secretive.
trait snapshot: does not make friends easily, secretive, introverted, reclusive, observer, dislikes leadership, somewhat socially awkward, does not like to stand out, dislikes large parties, values solitude, solitary, avoidant, ambivalent about fitting in, not dominant, unassertive, suspicious, prudent, unadventurous, worrying, weird, intellectual, frequently second guesses self

Joining the Job Corp.
Posted 14 years agoWelp, I'll be headed off to the Gary Job Corp. in San Marcos. I feel pretty good about doing this, but at the same time I'm going to be really nervous. I've never really been by myself like this and there's so many situations I've played through in my head as I'm about to be housed there. I have to stay on the campus for a whole month for testing and getting acquanted with the campus grounds. I hope my two friends are able to join shortly after me. I don't know exactly when they will arrive, but I know for certain they will be joining, but even then I don't know if we will be sharing the same room, let alone the same dorm.
What I'm really worried about are my friends online. I'll only have a handful of them to keep in contact with, but I know as long as I have my boyfriend and them to keep in contact with, I'll be okay.
Eh, not much else to say. I was never really good at posting lengthy journals, but then again I really should be heading to bed.
Good night everyone. Wish me luck.

#1. Touhou 7: Perfect Cherry Blossom: Necrofantasia
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=195XntreoMc
This theme just plain out kicks ass. I don't know how ZUN does it, plus the theme is very befitting for Yukari Yakumo, the Demon of Borders. >w>
#2. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask: Song of Healing
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUNbm3vO4Cg
This song is so touching, so soothing... I often listen to this song whenever I'm upset to calm myself and give myself time to think.
#3. Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Unfounded Revenge/Smashing Song of Praise
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqTs.....eature=related
A nice remix of the original two songs, "Misplaced Revenge" and "Anthem of Destruction." It was actually this song that got me into the MOTHER/Earthbound series... What is it with most songs doing that to me?
#4. Super Mario Galaxy: toy Time Galaxy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WaAtTDSqMc
God, this theme is an awesome remix of the original theme. @w@ *Bobs and sways to the beat.*
#5. Touhou 11: Subterranean Animism: Green Eyed Jealousy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKjQAikuBQA
I can practically feel the spite flowing through the notes of this song. Definately a theme befitting for a demon full of hatered towards others.
#6. Touhou 9: PoFV: Gensokyo, Past and Present ~ Flower Land
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHYG.....eature=related
Okay, seriously? How friggin' Touhou songs are going to make it to me list? >A>; I really need to diversify. =_=
#7. Touhou 11: SA: Satori Maiden ~ 3rd Eye
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wktQ.....eature=related
Man, I WISH I had this game so much! The themes in it are dark, yet upbeat at the same time! Also, Satori and her sister have pretty interesting character designs.d
#8. Touhou 10.5: Scarlet Weather Rhapsody: Flowering Night
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jada.....eature=related
I can't help that this song is so damn catchy, and the "Night of Nights" Remix ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OCiVstQwmY ) didn't help much to begin with. >_<
#9. Kingdom Hearts 2: The Encounter
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgdp.....eature=related
My favorite boss battle theme in Kingdom Hearts 2. <3 It's just so damn great and I it always keeps me looking forward to fighting the original Disney Villians.
#10. DOOM: E1M9 - Hiding the Secrets
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEAYqiKFk9c
OMFG, something that's not cutesy has made its way into my faves list? BLASPHEMY!!! This is definately one of the catchier themes in the DOOM series, IMO. I especially love the remix they made in Classic DOOM 3 ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VTeIV_JRY8 ).
Gosh, Touhou, you're a such hoe for taking up most of the places on my list. >.> I know I would put more and better things on here if I wasn't such a whore for Touhou. =_=

You Know You're From...(meme)

Rules!!!
1. Go to Google and type, "You know you're from (your city or state) when...." (hit "I'm feeling lucky")
2. Cut and paste the list.
3. Bold the items that apply to you
You know you're from Texas if/when:
You see more Texan flags than American flags.
You know someone who ate the 72 oz steak and got it for free.
You attend a formal event in your best clothes, your finest jewelry, and your Cowboy Boots.
You can write a check at Dairy Queen for 2 Hungr-Busters and fries.
You prefer Whataburger to McDonalds.
You dress up to go shopping at the mall.
You've hung ornaments and tinsel on a tumbleweed and used it as a Christmas tree.
You're disappointed when a food doesn't come in spicy flavor.
You know from experience that rattlesnake meat tastes like chicken.
You can tell a rock from an armadillo at 300 yards.
You know what a 'Cowboy Cadillac' is.
You have both a dog and a brother-in-law named Bud
Your local grocery store sells cactus in the Fresh Produce department
You watch the movie Urban Cowboy and laugh at the phony Texan accents
You choose a brand of Mexican salsa with the same care that another might use to select a bottle
of fine wine
You think that the 4 basic food groups are nachos, bar-b-que, fajitas, and Copenhagen.
You refer to the Dallas Cowboys as "God's favorite football team"
You know whether another Texan is from South, West, East, North, or Central Texas as soon as they open their mouth.
You don't consider people from Austin to be real Texans.
Your Pastor wears boots.
There is no such thing as a "secret" sin.
The Blue Book value on your truck goes up and down depending on how much gas it has in it.
Armadillos sleep in the middle of the road with their feet in the air.
Roadrunners dont say Beep Beep
There are 5,000 types of snakes and 4,998 live in Texas.
There are 10,000 types of spiders. All 10,000 live in Texas, plus a couple no one has seen before.
Possums will eat anything.
Raccoons will test your crop of melons and let you know when they are ripe.
If it grows, it sticks. If it crawls, it bites.
Nothing will kill a mesquite tree.
There are valid reasons some people put concertina wire around their house.
You cannot find a country road without a curve from corner to corner.

Attending A-Kon 2010 :3
Posted 15 years agoAfter a 14 hour long drive from Tennessee to Texas, I've finally settled in with my dad in his house. I'm a little afraid of the idea of being by myself in this world, especially with how dependent I usually am around others and how the economy is. But oh well, I'm not here to talk about that, I'm here to talk about A-KON!!! WHOO!!! =O
I will be attending A-Kon on Saturday, June 5th. The reason why I won't be going is because money has been a little tight, especially after spending a lot of money on gas for the trip, and I need to be going to work on Monday, so I'll be spending the trip Sunday getting back home. I hope during A-Kon I get to meet a lot of my friends there, especially a special someone.~
Hmm... Nothing much to say really, especially for my first journal? What rubbish. You'll find I'm a man of little words and a lot of insanity. LOL
Hoggle bloggle.
Anyways, yeah, short journal is short and I should be heading to bed since I'm going to work tomorrow, ON MEMORIAL DAY. >=O Silly dad making me work, but I'm still getting paid.~
Later everyone. I DO plan on posting pictures here... Eventually. >.>
