Halloween Speedpaint Mini Auction! [CLOSED]
Posted 11 years agoI'm gonna do a quick, 2-hour auction for 2 Halloween-themed speedpaints.
★Speedpaint will be halloween themed -- you can provide a prompt or leave it up to me; I love having artistic freedom!
★Speedpaint will be 1 hour long, I will be timing myself with a special app that only adds to the time counter when I am on SAI and my pen is moving. To get an idea of how much I can get done in an hour, this was clocked at 1 hour 30 minutes using the same app
★Auction will start now and run for two hours (ending at around 10:30 PM pacific)
★Paypal Only, whole USD only, payment must be sent within 24 hours of auction ending
★Speedpaints should be done within a day or two after payment is received--a week at the absolute latest
★You may only bid on one of the two slots at a time
★There will be a 5 min snipe guard
★Serious bidding only! If you have to back out for any reason, you will be suspended from entering in my next auction.
★Up to 3 characters allowed, but pls keep in mind that more characters = less quality overall; I only have one hour after all

Posted 11 years agoI'm getting so frustrated -- like half a year ago?? it suddenly stopped being able to support streaming or any sort of MMO type gaming. Over the last month it feels like it's been getting worse, too. Tablet cuts out a lot, I've had it do a weird crash that it's never done before and just jkdlf;s
I think once I get through this month's expenses I'm going to try and do... idk... something? Special auctions or idk, just MORE commissions???? so I can try and quickly afford a new one.

I'm not sure who decided it was a 'fun' idea to DDoS FA, FA Forums, Weasyl, SoFurry, InkBunning, F-list, E.. whatever that furry image board--I've even heard rumors of dA, Walmart, Norton, Esurance, etc a bunch of places getting DDoS'd during the same span of time? Jesus. Of course not sure if those are related or not, but wow what timing it is to be on the internet. <_>
I hope whoever is after all the art sites steps on like 84038203 legos tho. Not cool.

it's okay to be bothered by something, it's okay to SAY you are bothered by something and discuss them
but there is a difference, you know, between discussing and taking the slightest comments as an out-right attack on your being.
it's always a shame when ppl take everything others do as AN ATTACK without taking a moment to think 'maybe they just want to talk this thing out with me?'
hopefully though, people learn and move along and things can be fixed!
But unfortunately, in some instances, things will never change.
In some instances, there isn't the ability to change.
I guess just.... I wanted to say that I can't support people who can't change. I can't support people who apologize and say they won't do a thing, that they'll get better... but continue to treat others poorly.

I am open to looking at designs from anyone, but I ONLY want humanoid designs w/ at least mostly human faces. Animal noses are about as far as I'll go, so pls nothing w/ a snout or whatever.
I prefer designs that could fit into a fantasy setting.
I'll accept premades or maybe customs? but I won't start my half until I see a wip of yours at least
I AM EXTREMELY PICKY - I don't like taking designs if I feel I won't use them. So pls don't feel offended if i decline your offer ;w;

Posted 11 years agoI think after I finish the current summer commissions I have, that I will mostly go back to strictly 1-hour speedpaints... I am getting a little burnt out on stuff I've been doing and think it's time to shake it up! I may offer more complete/time taken paintings a couple times a month still...?? I'm not sure!
I might expand a little, offer things like chibis or... idk, doodles?? I'm not really sure.. I just know I want to do different stuff for a little bit. WORKING ON THE SAME type of stuff too much gets boring for me! @V@

TO COMMISSIONERS/TRADES - apologies + a small break
Posted 11 years agoHello! This is a quick status update and shout out to everyone I owe art!
I am going to need to reschedule all of my summer themed portraits and bump them to next week and the week after.
The schedule is looking as follows:
26th-29th I will try to get thalidomide and anon's portraits completed.
31st-5th I will be doing Arisu_Kagawa, lacha, and codeine.
Trades I will be doing idly in between those times. I MAY work on them a little this week, otherwise I'll be working on them the days I am NOT working on commissions.
Trades I have for here FA are Pajuxi, Ali, and Sekihan + two for ppl on dA.
The goal with trades is to get ALL of them done by the 13th at the latest.

SO THE rEASON WHY I NEED THIS BREAK:
I have literally been drawing about 8+ hours every day for at least 3+ weeks--minus about 3-4 days in which I had work. My hand/wrist is starting to ache and I can just FEEL every drawing fighting me. I don't want to force anyone's commission or piece and have it be less than my regular standard. 8(
Pretty much it's finally just... catching up with me.
There have been some stressful events going on for about the past week or so, too--and on top of my nonstop working on art, I have been getting poor sleep and feeling sick and just. /lays down
I'm so sorry, but I think I really need to take a week off to regroup and give myself a rest.
IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH THIS and you feel you absolutely NEED your piece to you before the reschedules PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I really feel horrible that I'm not keeping to my word and needing to push everyone back... so if you are really adamant about needing your art before pls let me know and I will try to work with you. ;__;

Posted 11 years agoI just wanna say I really appreciate them--even if I don't always reply fklsd; Sometimes I just get in /moods/ and I don't want to and well then it's a bit late and weird to respond. I do really appreciate everyone who is there for me when I have my down moods. --And also anyone who takes the time to comment anything of mine. Thank you!
I DO WANT TO touch up on the subject of skype briefly, though. I've had a handful of ppl wondering about it and so I just wanted to make a general note -- I keep my skype /extremely/ private. I've had a public skype for years and it was just too much for me to handle over time. There are a lot of wonderful people out there! But not all of them are easy for me to talk to, and it gets a bit strenuous to always try. I am sorry to anyone who has had me on skype before, and have since seemed to disappear. I've switched to a new one that I keep for only very close friends.
BUT! There still is a decent way to chatter me up--and that's twitter!
I use twitter /a LOT/--p much always on it except for when sleeping. I mean, I can't see replies from private accounts BUT OTHERWISE I am always on there and being weird about something (mostly sports anime, I am so sorry)

This theme is probably a bit more vague, like my winter one. Tell me if your character enjoys the sun or not, and I'll draw something based off of it. There's a chance I may include props like sun hats, ice cream, watermelon, water bottles, fans, etc--but these are up to me as sorta drawing easter eggs. Mostly I just want to be able to play around w/ high lighting and shadows.
ABOUT THE EVENT
★ August 15, 17-18, 20-22
//work hours from ~12PM until painting is complete
★ 6 "Summer Sun" themed portraits
//theme will be based off of your characters reaction to summer/sun
//each is 3-5 hours of my time
//scheduled one each day, starting between 12-2pm
★ Pre-event bidding and autobuy options!
//slots available for each scheduled painting
//bidding starts at $20; autobuy at $100
★ Instant gratification!! :D
//All paintings will be finished and sent to buyers the SAME DAY as started

Ho hum just a little sad ramble
Posted 11 years agomostly I feel like talking a bit but ppl are busy or I don't wanna bring them down and I don't want to fire up my twitter w/ sad things I guess
Seriously feel free to ignore this as it's more for myself to get how I feel out.. just... y'know, simple sorta vent journal cuz I don't do so well bottling my feelings up.
Mostly it's just a hash of the same fucking old thing always: I feel lonely.
I try really hard to surround myself w/ people to chat to on like twitter or whatever.. I've definitely gotten better over the past few months. But sometimes you can't run away from it y''know. Like I have a handful of great friends but I miss having someone to be really close to--to have that talk ALL THE TIME friendship. I Miss that so much.
And sometimes I feel like I just don't know HOW to make friends or relationships beyond the casual kind. How do I even begin to try to get close to anyone. When the hell did I turn so closed off? Maybe during the times I tried to open up to anyone and everyone and just got a bunch of clingy suck-ups, who knows. But I seem impossible to find anyone to properly click with, or, well, impossible to figure out hot to even search for that. I try not to think about it.
But it's hard sometimes... like I p much don't expect myself to ever gain anything more than friendships--and I really don't mean to say this in a woe on me I am foreveralone.jpeg type way or anything.. like it's just something I p much accept and am okay with? But then I want friends to make up for it and just
Real friends aren't easy to make.
And there are certain things that I would like to have to be a happy person that I don't necessarily get from all of my friendships, you know? Like people bring different things and just /sigh
I just feel lonely damn it!!
And every now and again this feeling fecken strangle holds me and won't brush off no matter how I try to not let myself think about it.
Like the only way I know how to fight this is to not think about it.. to try and make myself more desirable somehow. And honestly I have no fucking clue how to do that besides become a better artist and use THAT to make ppl notice me and maybe start trying to be friends w/ me. But that's crap cuz then all you get are thirsty little leaches who just want to get noticed by senpai 8( /sighs
man.. I've always tried to be accepting of ppl even like that cuz real friendships could happen anywhere y'know but I just feel like I turn more bitter and shut off as I get older. Sucks.
Sighs man I'm sorry this is all such a shitty journal post... I really don't like being a downer fjkds; try to not be so much but fuck if it doesn't get persistent sometimes. And there's nothing to really frickin' do about it and even talking it out like this just makes me start tearing up uuGHHH UGHH okay

I have some pieces for an art zine due the 9th, and I ONLY HAVE ONE DONE... OUT OF THREE....... Like I totally thought they'd be a lot faster to finish and I'd have 2/3 done yesterday BUT I ONlY fINISHED one today and jesus I've been working on it all day yesterday and today /groans
SO YEAH;;; I just wanted to give a heads up to those expecting a trade w/ me that I am in no way forgetting or avoiding working on your pieces or anything like that. I know I had said I would be sending some roughs out but ahh I haven't been able to find time to work on them at all jfkdls; /w\
Good news is, that as soon as I get the remaining two pieces done, I'll be able to hop right on those. SO LIKE I MAY be able to work on things a /little/ bit this week but.. yeah, I can't guarantee.
ANYWAY YEAH JUS TWANTEd to throw that bit of info out there, thank you so much for your patience w/ me!
