To all my watchers out there (and it appears that I have a more impressive amount than I could have ever anticipated) I feel I must apologize in some way. I haven't exactly been putting out a lot of art lately, and I understand that is why most of you click that 'Watch' button. Like the title suggests, I have far too many hobbies. Foremost among them is writing. I am currently writing the sequel to my first (published) book, as well as at least a half-dozen other writing projects that I have on the back-burner in case I get the motivation or inspiration to pursue any one of them.

Because of that, and a fair amount of time lost to school and reading webcomics, drawing has kinda fallen by the wayside. So this is just a heads-up why your beloved Kilt hasn't been updating lately. That, and I'm horrible at comic page layouts, but that is another story.

I've been in quite an art slump lately. Part of it has been equal parts working and job searching. I've been wanting to work on Kilani's Tavern, but I want to figure out a few things for formatting it differently. The giant four panels aren't working out as well as the early comics, but I also don't want to make it to elaborate. It was supposed to be for fun, after all.

So now, in order to keep up the drawing practice and just do some easy one-liners, I have a new idea for a line of picture-comic things. Some of you may or may not have heard of the game Corruption of Champions. Well, I play it on and off, and lately it's been more on than off. So I thought it would be fun to draw some stuff from the game. Some of it will be characters, some of it will be the crazy stuff one can run into in the demon-world of Mareth (like the sudden surprise of sprouting new appendages, old appendages changing into new shapes, etc.). I figure, if anything, I won't run out of available material for quite a long while.

Anywho, I've had the idea for a long time to write a narrative version of my battles while playing Warhammer 40k; the tabletop version, not the videogames. I want to post the writings somewhere that they'll be read, and I can easily see feedback on them. I only plan on posting a few stories' worth, and putting the whole kit-and-kaboodle in a novella compendium of sorts. That said, do you guys think that this site would do for at least one area to post them? I know its outside the normal furry stuff, which was my intention for joining FA, so I try not to deviate too much from that.

Besides, this is a rather 'insider' story arc - folks will need to know the general idea of who I'm talking about and what gear they use to understand the finer niceties. So... thoughts?

Hooee! Schools finally almost over! I just got back into college, and already I'm tired of it! Thankfully, all the annoying classes I have a mere obligation to do are done as of next week. The rest should be at least nominally interesting classes! Woohoo!

What else doth this mean? It means more time to look for a job! My military stuff covers the essentials, but that extra income is always nice. Plus it means more opportunity to go places and do things and see people! Or maybe go places and do people! All depends on... stuff, I suppose. It also means more time to work on art and writing projects! So we can all look forward to more Kilani's Tavern and whatever random stuff I can think to draw, however lewd or tame they may be. Right now though, one of my main priorities is the sequel to my book, which I want to take less time than the first one (about four years; those four years were by no means turning it into a masterpiece).

Likewise I'll also be moving into the city, where I'll get better internet reception, meaning I'll be able to get on here more easily, which means I will likely get to drawing more. Exposure = incentive = production. Hooray for nonsensical math!

Now who can argue with that logic? Been watching this lovely lady's work for a while now and, while I sometimes wonder what the holy-balls I'm looking at, I am never not entertained. Double-negatives for the win.

There are times in a young man's life when he should go out and see the world and what it has to offer. This, my friends, is not one of those times. This is an instance of curiosity met with astounding, if a little disturbing results. Case in point, I challenged rules 34 and 41 of the internet:
34) There is porn of it. No exceptions.
41) Everything is someone’s sexual fetish.

I was trolling the Browse feature on here, and I saw "Chocobo" listed. Not thinking it possible, or at the very least likely, I looked for "General Furry Art (Mature)" containing chocobos. Boy was I surprised. There wasn't much, but they weren't horribly drawn either. I am still continuing to troll, though I am not seeing anything that would evoke a similar challenge just yet. Then again, the list of subject matter is rather lengthy. Who knows what I'll find.

Many good things are in store for this year. More comics. More general artsy things. Plus I'll be going to school again, which will be... well, I wouldn't say exciting, but it won't be exactly 'bad' either. I can only hope that here might be a woman there that doesn't run away screaming, and is single. Always important, that last part.

Basic training is over, and I find myself with some free time. Not much, but some. I kept drawing in Basic, albeit with pencil and paper, and I gave those drawings away (for the most part). My point, though, is that I will be able to draw a little bit.

I don't have any pending requests, but I also don't have readily accessible wifi. Oh yeah, the other problem is that I'm also working off my iPad, so my usual work may not be as up-to-par as it usually is. Got a stylus today with my off-post pass, so maybe it'll get easier to draw than with my finger. Fingerpainting for the fail.

But yeah. Tl;dr, if you have requests/trades/commissions, it may take some time before I am able to read it (like a random hot spot connection at the barracks), and the time to draw it and the quality my not be as good as usual. Who knows. I got pretty good with pencil/pen and paper. Maybe I could do that for y'all.

The following are some definitions, descriptions, guidelines, and prices for my artwork. As a disclaimer, please bear the following in mind:

1. Things get busy or hectic. Unless otherwise stated, any deadlines (expected completion times) are approximate and are not binding. If I am behind, I will notify you to the best of my ability.
2. All artwork is done under standard creative license. While the art is yours (as in, done for you), it is not yours to claim as your own artistry or to re-sell as the copyrighted owner.
3. Any restrictions, rules, or other assorted things that I place upon my artwork is not intended to discriminate to any audience. There's stuff I won't draw/write. Enough said.
4. I will always act in a cordial, friendly, or professional manner. I expect the same from my customers (this includes requesters and trades), and any misconduct may be grounds for dismissal of the artwork.
5. Refunds are dependent upon the size, detail, and amount of work already put into a commission, as well as any minor pieces already produced or received (ex. line art, sketch work, etc.). You don't eat three-quarters of a steak, then complain about it. Don't do it with my artwork.
6. These rules and disclaimers (above and below) are subject to change. You do not want to be the person that I have to make a rule because of.
7. By taking a commission, request, or trade with me, you accept and affirm the rules and guidelines herein.

Many of these rules, descriptions, et cetera, may have holes in them. If you are confused or have questions about the above disclaimers or the items below, please ask. I don't bite... much. ;3

Basic Descriptions and Definitions
Commission
A commission is a piece of artwork or literature that is done for a monetary price. For my artwork, they will generally have greater detail and/or have special circumstances made available for them.
Deadline
Any given or agreed-upon timeframe, approximate or exact, in which a given piece may be completed.
Request
A request is a non-paid piece of artwork or literature. The complexity is completely under my own jurisdiction (if I find it interesting, I may put in more effort), as are any deadlines. There are only three (3) request slots, viewable in my profile info.
Slot/Package
A slot is a reserved space for a single piece of artwork or literature. Conversely, a package is a mass-series of images/stories made for a single client.
Trade
A trade is essentially a two-way request, although a greater level of attention can be expected in terms of detail or effort. Items to be traded must be mutually agreed upon beforehand.

Rules and Guidelines
1. You may only have one open request slot at a time, and only if one is available.
2. Commissions can not include publicly trademarked characters. (ex. Star Fox)
3. Commissions can not include any persons not directly involved in or approving of their image being drawn. (ex. your girl/boyfriend = ok; Arnold Schwarzenegger = not ok, unless he is the one commissioning me)
4. When making any of the three requisitions above, please do your best to maintain contact. This can be as simple as letting me know you received my last message about [insert reason here].
5. I WILL NOT DRAW:
-vore
-m/m pornography or sexual pieces
-phallic (that is to say: penis) transformation (ex. an actual head appearing at the tip)
-'watersports', fecal, or other similar sexual practices

Literature
Prose $1.00 per page
10pt Times New Roman font, single spacing, with standard 8.5x11 page size. A second page will only be charged if it exceeds 1.33 pages approximately. In short, if I add a paragraph onto another page, I won't charge you the full page; it was just there to close up the story/chapter. Must provide desired number of pages or approximate range (ex. "I would like 15 to 20 pages").

Some random questions though, since I may draw/write the furry material, but I am not a furry myself (kinda like my crackerness being an honorary Asian). What is a yiff? Urbandictionary, for all its user content, gives several definitions. So more accurately: what form is most often used? Also, I've noticed a HUGE percentage of users here are into hermaphrodite, femboy, or even "that's a clit, not a penis" (yeah right) sort of art work. Is there a particular reason for this? (I'm not bashing it; I just want to understand the demographic I now find myself in.)

After so many difficulties (no computer, then no photoshop, then no internet, and some admittedly lazy days), everything is operational (for the most part). Happiness! Hotei must have smiled on me, because my slight streak of good luck just became a slightly larger streak (thankfully, not across my underwear).

For those of you not aware, my computer was recently virusified, and I was stuck to using my laptop for the better part of a month or so. That meant no drawing projects got done (though laziness and other obligations played a part). After some time and a decent chunk of my once proud checking account, the computer is fixed, though missing some of the essential programs like a word processor (MS Works WP or MS Word, for example). Thus when I thought of what might happen to my drawings, I wondered if I would be able to re-download Photoshop.

Well happy day for me! It turns out that once you buy and register a product that has the download bundle that goes with it, you can continue to download the files indefinitely! So a special thanks to Intuos who, in all their wisdom, set up this program! Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!!!

It's downloaded! After nigh eight gruellingly slow hours watching my internet hover just beyond another drop in connection, it battled through and held on long enough for the file to appear! Let the drawing COMMENCE!
