It's been a long time and I've been rather quiet around here but I've been honestly super swamped and busy.
I'm finally nearing the end of my fursuit queue from last year and as I approach the end I've made some decisions regarding the future of my business.
For the rest of 2019 I will be mostly working on pre-mades/ contacting past commissions to see if they need updates/fixes. If I open for commissions again, it will only be one at a time.
The queue system is flawed and doesn't work for me. I discovered this a little too late last year when I was swimming in sickness, depression, family death/problems, and faux fur up to my earlobes. It's no fair for people to have to pay for a slot to only wait practically a year till I get around to them. Life gets too much in the way for me to promise that I can deliver something by a certain time frame. It's stressful to me and it's stressful to them as well. I don't want to let them down and I don't want to deliver something rushed and have them be unhappy. My art is so important to me and it kills me to hand something over I'm not happy with.
That being said, I will move to one person at a time for my future commissions. How that will work? I'm not sure yet. I don't think I'm good enough where I think people will want to participate in an auction for a slot yet but I will cross that bridge when I come to it.
Another reason why I'm slowing down is that I'm moving in May. I will be moving to Virginia. My husband and I have been planning this for over a year now and the deadline is quickly approaching. I have so much that I need to prepare before I go. I have never moved so far away, I want to spend as much time as I can with my family and friends before I move. With moving planned it's no fair to take on commissions during it.
I also want to take care of myself. Last year I got immensely sick. I still don't know why or what caused it but I've put my health on the back burner to finish commissions, I've put off doctors, dentists, and therapy appointments to have a few more hours of work time. I've honestly let myself go and I've dug myself into a hole. I want to get back to myself by the end of this year.
I'm not giving up, I just need to reset.
All I want to is to create art, fuzzy fursuits, and to be happy again.

Fursuit updates

Currently I have a lot of projects on my plate. I just wanted to write about where I am on them and whats on my queue so that people know where I am.
So here is my current order:
- Xeshaire Butterfly Bunny Head
- Prance Deer Fursuit ( on hiatus/rework, will explain below)
- Sabertooth Tiger Premade
- Potential Fursuit commission opening
- Quiver Bunny Fursuit ( Explain below)
- Feiona Bunny Partial ( Explain below)
So to explain some,
Xeshaire is a rush commission to be done in time for Furpoc. So considering the time frame this must be worked on first. Shaping of the head has been completed, I am just now awaiting for the fur.
Prance Fullsuit is currently on a hiatus/rework. The head that the fursuit was built with was built off a base that the commissioner built, thus causing structural problems. After a talk with the commissioner it was decided to rework the head /build it anew. We have also discussed adding some things to the head and working things differently. I am attempting to finish it also in time for furpoc, but commissioner is okay with it not being so.
Sabertooth Premade is also being worked on and I am hoping to get it done soon. As explained in the last journal I'm attempting to live off my art, and money is running kinda dry. I need to finish this one soon to afford rent.
The potential opening may happen if I have not heard back from a potential commissioner. More details about an opening will be posted when the time comes.
And Feiona Bunny partial, this one is a trade with a friend for work. This is to be completed over a long period with no time frame.
Quiver Fullsuit is to be made entirely on my days off, all work on that is not to be counted as working time. So this will be done eventually.
So this is where I am and what needs to be completed.
Writing things down like this really helps to focus.

Posted 8 years agoI don't write very often and things have been rather weird with me lately. So lets write about what life has brought at me this time.
I got married.
As of April 20th of 2017 this bun bun is now happily married to her deer. It was a small thing, we just signed some papers and ate Mexican food afterwards. We do intend on throwing a party later on next year with all of our friends. But We / mostly I did not want to do the whole wedding thing, with all the obligations that comes with it. I dont want to be a bridezilla. I honestly just want to have a mega awesome party and get wasted with all of my friends. I hope to have tons of pictures to post when that does happen.
Speaking of friends this year has been rather hard for me in that field. I've burned a lot of bridges with old friends this year in some of the worst kinds of ways. But with how things are settled and a bit of therapy, I'm sure I will feel better in the long run. I already do feel better.
I have quit my job at wholefoods. I'm currently unemployed and I think for the first time in my life I'm going to attempt to take a risk. I'm going to see how long I can survive off of my art and savings. ( think I've said this before... * goes back and reads previous journals *)
While I know this may be foolish as most people do this and fail. I'm at a point in my life that if I don't take this step, don't leap, I will feel regretful about it for a long time, if not my whole life. My life up until now has been people trying to move me away going into art. Telling me anything else would be better for me. I tried nursing, it was incredibly hard to watch people die. I tried retail, and that killed my soul and I felt like a slave. ( Although this could be from working at a health food store) And I tried farming, it was just not for me.
I'm going to try, ill give it my all. I have my friends on one side and my love on the other. I got this.
Lets see what else,
Oh I'm going to try to go to therapy for the first time... that's cool I guess.
My husband and I took a vacation recently to go visit the place that he wants to move to in a few years. He took me to Virginia beach. OH MY GOSH , it was amazing!
The water was warm, beach clean, people ... *gasp*... friendly! It felt like a whole new world. And things were mega cheap! We went to the aquarium, Busch gardens, and kings dominion. I'm not going to go into detail about those with the exception that I rode a ride at kings dominion and almost blacked out. And when we inquired about that, apparently that's a key feature of the ride...
Besides that I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my trip. I also spent most my trip like that kid who stated that he liked turtles to the news reporter... " Oh I like trains" " Oh I like bridges!" " Oh I like turtles!"
We are thinking about going to a few cons this year also.
I am currently saving up to head to Furpocalypse this year, and we will also be attempting to head to MFF for the first time as well.
Well that's all I can think about right now, I will maybe write more later.

Its been a long time since I've checked out FA Ill be honest. And I'm sure that anyone who cares has probably noticed.
I just got back from Furpocalypse and have been given a new sense of purpose and vigor in working with and on fursuits. Furpoc was very fun and solidified a lot of friendships with people and gained some as well.
I also realized that I'm going to have to move to part time work , currently I have been working full time and then working in fursuits after work. Pretty much stressing me out and killing all desire for life.
I want to pursue my dreams of working for myself and I hope to do it, just takes a little jump and faith.
I also got engaged to my lovely mate and deer. I'm so happy and so excited. I love him so much, he means the world to me.
I'm currently working on a commission, and I'm getting there slowly but surely. Being the first partial commissioned by someone and experimenting with new styles and techniques while trying to master my current knowledge its been a rocky ride, but its so lovely. So amazing, I cannot wait till its done to show everyone.
Not much else to tell everyone at the moment.
I'm not sure if i will continue to show up here, but we will see.
For what its worth to everyone who has bothered to watch me, to talk to me, and to visit, thank you! Ill see you guys somewhere and sometime.

Life Update / Commission update

I think its about time that I let everyone know what I've been up to and what has been going on in my life. Now this spans more than a few months, since the last time I wrote an update was way back when I graduated LNA School.
So I don't live in New Hampshire any more. I moved down to live with my boyfriend in Massachusetts. It was kind of quick, I completely procrastinated in packing and on the last day just did some laundry and packed what mattered most. I was also trying to finish up Toony Quiver that day so a lot of it was me sitting in my living room sewing, trying to spend as much time with my mom as much as I could. I am a child, seriously, family is so important to me and having never moved out before it was interesting. But needless to say I'm happy I did it. I'm very happy where I live now and whom I'm living with. Its been a huge improvement to my life.
So after I moved I was still working in New Hampshire but I actually quit my job in January. There was too much complications and the drive was 1 1/2 hours one way. LONG COMMUTE. I was also getting pretty sick and I just needed a change.
Then I had the silly notion that I could survive off of art and things I make. Well that did not work out quite like how I imagined and im still shooting for it but the reality of things are, get new job.
Which I did, well just did. I'm actually helping out over at a renaissance shop in Mass. so im learning a lot of new things. Like how I actually know nothing about sewing... Hopefully if things go well I'll get a lot better. I'm seeing what I'm working on and how I can apply that to my masks. So Improvement inbound!!!
Oh hey did I mention that I also bought a new car? Yah that happened way back around thanksgiving. That old corolla has some good memories... But this new car is doing well, the window keeps cracking and I need to get that fixed. But all is good.
Now this brings me to the commission part. I will be taking this very slow and very carefully. I will only be taking on one person at a time for Partial Fursuit related commissions and currently opening time for quotes will be somewhere mid march. From there after quotes close I will choose one. Keep an eye out on the FA Journals and twitter. Anath Is almost done. The tail is done and I am super impressed with myself. I should get a photo of it up tonight.

I should be Sleeping.... ( Life update)
Posted 10 years ago... But I was always a night owl and to be honest there really is not much time to write anymore or do anything it seems.
Im graduating, This Tuesday I will be a C.N.A and come August 14th if I pass state boards I will be an L.N.A. Two months have passed by so fast, I cannot believe it. So much turmoil, excitement, stress, and exhaustion. I've lost so much weight since I started and I cannot wait to eat at a normal schedule again. Im starting to see white speckle spots in my vision... heh not good right?
I fell in love with my residents and im so sad to leave them. I really hope that wherever I go, it will be with as good of residents as I had there.
Also during that time took my first trip to Anthrocon and my first trip basically doing everything myself. While the venue was BRILLIENT im not so sure how I felt about Anthrocon. A lot of emotions and it went by so fast as well...it seems I got there and then I left. There were only a few times that I got to sit down and just chill and I think those were the times I cherished the most. Also Pittsburg, fix your sidewalk.. so many times did I trip.... I swear I can walk, its the sidewalks fault.
Also some amazing other events happened and im very happy about it, someday I might go into details. Maybe.
Once im situated I will resume artwork.
My path right now seems to be very open ended for the first time. Instead of a two way fork and a hard choice, I have this wide path that wherever I go, it looks brighter. Now if only I would stop getting cold feet and just move forward.

Okay so I'm a lame Fan girl... (Games/Life Updates/ & TMIT)
Posted 10 years ago...Who gets overtly excited about games that people probably are not playing anymore.
But on and off I play guild wars 2, binge rather for days on end and im back on another kick. Well I logged back on and found out that they are finally rebuilding Lions Arch, I could not be happier. It looks amazing so far. I also found out that there is an expansion being released with a few new classes and such. Now I'm not the serious type of player, I like to goof around explore and marvel at the graphics and work that goes into the towns, landscape, and wardrobes so Im not high level. I have not even finished the main story line yet, let alone explore any dungeons. But If anyone wants to meet up or friend me ( you don't even have to talk to me, just be on Embry Bay Server) I would love to party with you sometime. My character name is Rabbit Gatekeeper.
Also I heard just recently about Kingdom Hearts 3. Another Game that to be honest I did not think was even going to come out. I thought after Birth By Sleep they were generally done. Im so happy im wrong.

Back to reality, I might be quite a bit more inactive in the coming months (or not). I just started my new job, which is great money wise but destroying my sleep pattern and stress level. Its a lot of work and includes a bit more overtime/ homework. Speaking of homework, like some of you know im going to school for LNA at the Red cross come June till August. I've been working on getting all the paperwork and doctor visits set before school starts. Busy, busy, busy. Hopefully while working and going to school somewhere in that time I will be working on other life important stuff, insurance, car, credit-crud, and trips. Which are important for my sanity...heh.
So that Segways me into this topic, I've got a few conventions I've been mulling over in my head. Like a carrot on the end of a rope, its something to look forward to. But the problem is, im not sure if I want to go to them. I've already x'ed out Another Anime Convention, and im not intending on King Richards Faire this year. Every Year I try to find people to go with and every year they all quit on me.. so probably not this year either.
Im thinking of FA United. Having Never been to it, to someone who has, Would you recommend it? How did you get there? Did you find the hotel nice?
I may or may not go to Maltese. As the months go by, im more and more toying with the idea of not going. Its During school, and while I might have the weekend off, it would be work, school, travel to Boston. I don't know, Someone give me a reason to go.
And last but not least, This will be the one and only TMI Tuesday I shall do. So ask away. I am honor bound to answer.
