Posted 12 years agoThe World is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real, because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round, and it has thrills and chills and is very brightly colored, and it's very loud. And it's fun, for a while.
Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they've begun to question, 'Is this real, or is this just a ride?', and other people have remembered, and they've come back to us and they say 'Hey, don't worry. Don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride.' and we KILL THOSE PEOPLE.

It's just a ride.
But we always kill those good guys who try and tell us that. You ever noticed that? And let the demons run amok. But it doesn't matter, because ... It's just a ride.
And we can change it anytime we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. A choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear wants you to put bigger locks on your door, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love, instead see all of us as one.
Here's what we can do to change the world right now, to a better ride:

Kind of late to post this but here it is anyway
Posted 12 years agoabout a half a month ago celebrates my first year of being on here, it's been a great ride so far and I've met my share of interesting furs. Not much has really happened as far as my involvement goes as I'm not that crazy about the whole furry thing (sometimes I don't really think I even belong here to be honest)

Yes, I was woken up for a stupid reason this morning, I was really cranky and fell back asleep until noon lol

The Legend of the Sleeping Bear Dunes
Posted 12 years agoA sad story about two cubs and their mother trying to cross lake Michigan from Wisconsin to Michigan. Which didn't go so well for the mother's cubs, Enjoy! I loved this legend ever since I was a kid, it always brings a tear to my eye when I read itLong ago a great famine had spread over the land. Longingly, a mother bear and two famished cubs walked the shore on the Wisconsin side, gazing wistfully across the great lake at Michigan, which in those days was the land of plenty (as it is today). Finally hunger overcame their timidness and the bears launched out, trying to swim to Michigan. As they got closer and closer to the Michigan shore, the mother's words of encouragement urged on the weary cubs. When only twelve miles from the land of plenty, the mother's heart was rent as she saw a babe sink and drown. With the remaining cub she struggled to gain the beach. Two miles of slow dragging and the second of her beloved cubs also perished.
The mother reached the beach, alone, and crept to a resting place where she lay down facing the restless waters that covered her lost ones. As she gazed, two beautiful islands slowly rose to mark the graves of the cubs. The Great Spirit Manitou created two islands (North and South Manitou Islands) to mark the spot where the cubs disappeared and then created a solitary dune to represent the faithful mother bear.

Posted 12 years agoI met a babyfur in real life for the first time ever back on Friday night. Needless to say I was really nervous, but is really awesome! I'm glad that out of any babyfur that could have lived so close, it was him :) Again, I was so nervous, even at the end, but I was able to break out of my shell to give him a big hug when he had to go home ^-^ he's such an awesome furbro to have!

That's the thing with diapers for me, the longer I wait, the better the diapers seem when I put 'em on ^_^ By the way, they are molicare super pluses, which feel freakin awesome! They are super soft!

Well...2013! seems like only yesterday we started 2012! Wow man do the times fly nowadays.. and turning 21..I don't like getting older.. I still feel like I'm 18 for gods sake xD
Well..nothing of real importance happened this year. I had a good Summer, got into sailing and being on Grand Traverse Bay with my dad, and I continue to play video games, as that's been my favorite hobby for...a very long time. And I've fixed a few computers here and there to make some extra cash, and I also been trying to look for jobs, because it's hard living under your parent's roof with no money to go do anything, or have any hopes of ever being able to get ahead..and it doesn't help that the nearest city is over 10-20 miles away from my house, and I don't have a car or a license right now. I also had to deal with a kidney stone pretty much throughout December, and that sucked bad.
Now, what I look forward to getting done in 2013!
-Get a Job
-Start saving some money
-Take some Drivers Ed classes & eventually get a license
-Go on a diet and lose some weight
-Come to love the babyfur part of myself more (I still feel ashamed about being a babyfur occasionally, which is unhealthy)
-start meeting some other babyfurs in person (while being cautious of course, never know what kind of people are behind the
screen)
-Maybe get more art commissions from unpopular artists to help support their talents.. though I'd like to get a Marci badge one
day, just to have one (Which heavily depends on whether I can get a job or not.)
there may be a few more goals I have, but these are the goals off the top of my head. Everyone have a great New Years Eve/Day and don't get too drunk!

And it didn't make it any easier for Detroit when the automotive industry collapse happened 5 or so years back
