Goooood day cuties! Hope you are all doing well~ I'll try to keep it as brief as I can (watch me fail miserably XD)

I wanted to start off with the good: I loved creating an opportunity for so many people to have their own characters show up in such a project. I especially loved seeing all the other peeps pointing out and knowing one another. I almost feel like some cuties got to know each other through me and I really can't be happier about that~
Hope you are all excited about the finale coming out tomorrow, and I will make a free bundle on my site as well as some of my channels to see all the images without clutter, text and UI~

Now, unfortunately, the good stuff about this past month... ends here. I will be honest, I hated this month. For the first time working on a long project, I genuinely hated working on it. There were days when I would wake up and struggle to get myself to work on it, getting slower and slower each and every day as I grew more and more tired. 
Many times, I thought about abandoning the project entirely, but I wanted to press on to not disappoint you all and to let everyone who participated a chance to be featured. But I had some horrible days. Some of you might already know.
I was very absent on both DMs and servers because I was overworking myself most days and had too little energy to do anything else. It got to a point where, after some days, I had developed physical problems. 
I had days of headaches, stress-induced GI (gastrointestinal) problems, and I started to shorten my breath more and more and currently my nails are still sickly bluish from the lack of oxygen. I hated this. I really did. Of course, stress wasn't great, so more bad thoughts kept getting into my mind. 
The project overall has gone better than last year if you look at the stats, but the difference is not enough to warrant feeling as bad as I have during it. Not considering donations, but I will always fault myself for it not being as good economically as last year. Still, I don't think it was also all the project's fault. 
I got overwhelmed by other stuff (will update on that stuff in the future), as well as probably having some hormonal things going on. Together with seeing the geopolitical scene getting fired up more and more, it was not all good for my head.

But here at TheSigmaArts we keep trudging forwards~ Will I do another project like this... no? At least if I don't plan it out much differently and see there being a lot more interest in stuff like it. I don't want to be back in that mindset at all, so if I do another growth drive, it will be very different. I also feel like I lost many opportunities during this month because of it and I let down many clients, seeing their commissions going much too slow.

Now though, for the exciting stuff coming~ As previously stated, stay tuned for tomorrow's finale~ As you might have guessed from the last few episodes, I had plans for the finale. It took me 3 days to pull it off while keeping it up with everything else, so I really hope you'll like it! Some projects will be revealed soon, and I plan to become more active once again over on Discord.
Speaking of which, I am extremely proud of how the server's been doing~ It's a really awesome place thanks to the wonderful peeps there~ I might be a lil pest in the coming months, but I plan to reach out to many of you wonderful artists and models and VA etc. of the size community, because I think it would be super awesome to have you and for you to be able to express your creations in a nice environment~

I have yet to talk about and discuss matters of organization with my business consultant and a few technical peeps for changes and expansions of my presence. For the time being, I can say I am planning a useful video showcasing the differences in opportunity, options and fees of over 20 different platforms.

Just a heads-up, I will take the third week of April off to take a nice breather and relax after all that happened this month. But other than that, I hope you are still excited about what's coming next and I will keep you updated with more wonderful things coming. Sorry if this year's March has been a let-down or an annoyance, and sorry to my clients for having been slow on their commissions. Thank you all for your continued support. I see the server is now bustling with life~ Each and every day I see more people come in, and new cuties meeting others. I'm sorry I have been slow with events and organization, though I have much planned I simply am human and have a lot going on, from working on comms and the growth drive and more. However, here to say that thanks to me having a now wonderful team and stuff slowly but surely working out, I have been doing better, and I have lots of exciting stuff coming :3

Now onto the real important announcement, it is a habit of mine to only really celebrate things that are international, that speak to a broad audience outside of culture, country and religion, and that speak about important topics and pressing matters we can find wherever we are in the world. It is with pleasure that today, I can show you all the newest changes and achievements I made for my site. Before going on vacation, and in the little time I had once I got back, I created custom code for most pages of my site which now looks better than ever!

The biggest change?
Full integration of Throne within the site!
Wherever donations are mentioned, the button will now create an instance of Throne within the page! Even wedged a custom button that will do the same!

The comms page will now be separate from other products, have a collapsible section to show/hide the rules of the commissions, color-coded title to know the commission status, aaaaand the big thing: a table to showcase the status of the commissions I am working on!

Lastly, the new News section will now have a playlist from YouTube with all my storytimes!

Henlo there sweeties. Sorry for having been a lil absent minded in the past weeks. There was a lot, May was a lot, the amount of stuff done was a lot, we had house painters over, we moved furniture, finally fixed the walls and ceiling from that fire of last year... then more stuff like hair removal, general tiredness, combined with the arrival of the heat, a decrease in commissions and work to do, I was a lil overwhelmed by emotions and sensations. I'm doing better, but I feel like I'm still recovering a bit. Playing Ori and Warframe to relax has been helping out a lot, as well as interacting, for what I can, with peeps online~ Thank you for bearing with me, and sorry if the consistency of uploads might get a lil fuzzy.

Hello darlings~ These past few days were filled with sadness and anxiety for me, mostly dreading for my work and art not being enough, while I kept pressuring myself in doing more. Mind is icky, but I'm doing better. And I have a surpriiiiise~
I renovated my store... and invested and turned it into a fully fledged TheSigmaArts site! 🥰

So! Now that I'm back from vacation, I have a strong pulse to make and create, as well as having smelled the fresh air of independence and friendship again. So, I want to open up this discussion before moving on to new comms.

What happened? So, this year, in about 3 days, I will be present at SizeCon Micro, which, for those that don't know, is the biggest size convention that happens online through Gather. And yeah, if any of you will be present, you may see me going around~ When I was buying the ticket, they asked me if I wanted to participate as a vendor, and/or as a spokesperson, and I agreed to both, sending in links to my accounts and a few images/pics for the vendor part. After a few days, they told me I couldn't make it as a vendor or a spokesperson, because despite the fact that the art I sent wasn't against their rules, what I posted on my accounts was. What was the problem? "Child" characters. They were very chill, and we discussed it at length without any problems, and I thank them for it, as this kind of discussion is never a discussion, just an all-out war between the participants.

But what happened made me think. I figured that compared to other creators of similar age/number of posts/type of content, I was growing far slower in terms of followers, which I see as people thinking many of my posts are nice, but only a few want to stick around and have me in their notifications. So I thought, could it be that it's also related to me making content with characters with certain characteristics? Though I also took into account the fact I do various different things, I'm someone who has a wide range of likes and that results in many different forms of content. You all may also confirm or disprove my hypothesis here.
But this mishap with SizeCon, made me also realize, that with certain bigger communities, and possibly companies, my posts could go against their policies and limit my reach.

However, as we've all seen from stuff like PayPal and other service providers, one shouldn't just change themselves to every whim of others, especially if the whim of others can cause a wider phenomenon of mental closure, hypocrisy, blurring the line between fiction and reality, as well as actively endangering what many are saying they are trying to protect.
My thoughts on the matter are the following: characters are characters. They are figments of the imagination one can change however they want. They do not have experience, don't have a life. What is in fantasy stays in fantasy. And ultimately, yes, their age is indeed just a number. What I want to be clear about is that I am not telling anyone to enjoy content made with those specific characters. I myself don't like some types of content (especially of explicit sexual nature) with various characters, regardless of the number they put on the wiki regarding the media they come from. And it is my firm belief that not allowing content from these characters on several major sites as a rule may cause more harm than good. But that goes on into the wider discussion about it, which I feel can be its separate thing, and I don't want this post to be too long as I would like more people to read it.

Another thing I want to be very clear and honest about, is that I cannot just stop making content with those types of characters. As you may have seen from my commission work, a lot of characters do fall within that character type, and banning that type of character would cut me quite a large chunk of what I do that I, currently, cannot afford. What else I cannot afford? Losing time, and currently getting struck because I didn't look up a character's age, or having to tip toe around half my posts when I already had to do it for irl photos.

Recapping, doing "child" characters may be slowing down my growth as a creator, and making me lose time posting them in the right place at the right time is getting annoying. But it's also a very big part of my income I cannot afford to remove, as well as my beliefs on the matter being that it is more damaging to remove this content as a whole.
So, what will the changes be? I thought of the following:
1) If the character looks like they could be an adult in the way I draw or render them, it is considered an adult in every shape or form in my media going forwards. Examples: many anime/manga characters I've done, like Fire Emblem, Persona, Pokemon characters, ATLA characters, or characters with unconfirmed or not mentioned age, like Mario or FNAF characters.
2) If the character looks like they could be a child in the way I draw or render them, they will either have to be aged up to be posted (examples: buff/adult-looking Sonic characters, different proportions with certain more child-like Pokemon characters etc.; also wth DA? What is the problem with aging-up characters then? That really makes no sense at all)
OR be kept in their original design, but automatically be counted as private, in which case, if the commission was higher than 80€ they would get an extra 30% price, like any other private commission.

These changes are the best thing I could come up with, but if you do have any other ideas I would gladly hear them. These changes ensure that I can keep working with those characters without having too much of a deterrent to them, my accounts stay basically clean, with all my post being adult-looking or adult-confirmed characters, as well as possibly incentivizing clients to choose other types of characters. And to top it all off, I am not internally hypocritical between what I do think about the matter and what I actually do and work on.

Henlo henlo! HAPPY END OF YEAR CUTIES! This year has been quite the tough one for me, reasons why I shall say below, sorry for the possibly long read 😅
Where to even begin... well, let's start with the bad stuff. A whole lot of terrible stuff has happened this year. Like really terrible stuff. Computer broke down, had to buy a new one, it still had problems, household stuff breaking, our house catching fire, getting hit by one of the worst flooding in recorded history, I caught COVID... and those were just the big ones. Every other day it felt like something terrible would happen. This definitely didn't help with stress and despite working a ton with my coach as well, it was still quite the hard year to go through. It was also the year in which I spent most: the computer (1200), building & fixing it when it had problems (400), new camera + lenses (1200), laser hair treatment (1500), hrt exams (200), business consultant (400+)... But let's see it positively, they were mostly all long term investments that have done wonders to make progress both as a person and as a creator~

Onto the more neutral stuff this year, I registered my business, and aaaall the things that came from that. Moving from Gumroad to Payhip to also help me process payments and do all correct thingies to abide the law, there has been a ton of working and learning. One of the things that I'm a lil sad about is that between work and all the shit stuff that happened, I had very little time to do extra projects, challenges, and non-commission work, but I was too tired all the time and dried up mentally to get things done, and had to use all the time I had just for work. Fortunately, I had some grace periods that allowed me to take on some more interesting projects, like the animation, Fakemons, doing pics etc. I'm very happy about that~ I was blessed that I got accepted for hrt within a year, but the exams weren't the best to do, the timings were awful thanks to all other stuff that happened, and dammit, despite loving how I'm turning out with just growing out my hair and doing laser treatment, they both became incredibly time consuming and draining, both physically and emotionally. Still, the goods outweigh the bads, but it's not so clear-cut as I would have liked.

But let's not beat around the bush, despite all the terrible and mediocre stuff this year, there were also amazing things~ For starters, I had the confirmation that I could do this as a full time job which is fucking amazing since I adore working in this community, doing comms and lil projects along the way~ I improved my technique and efficiency for both 2D and 3D. Not as much as I would have liked, but any progress is positive~ My setup has improved, not completed yet, but now it's very fun to use and play with~ I look cute! Which is mind-blowing considering how much I hated my looks at the start of the year, and the thought of it getting better next year? It excites me sooo much~ I expanded onto two new platforms, and despite by gripes with FA and also its interface, at least it's going well here as well~ I opened up Throne, thank you so much to Gaz Acantha to make me discover it, it's a fucking blessing of a platform~ And speaking of which, I changed my mind around Discord servers and got into many of them, some being the biggest as well. I met so many new cuties, and I feel like I got to touch hearts and help out a lot 💖 And I met a community here in Italy? And we met up irl?? And we planning out some cool stuff next year??? AYO????

So as you can see this year has been quite the mixed bag. On the one hand, good god this was a shitty year... On the other hand, my gosh this was a year full of new and exciting experiences~ Despite all, I'm quite happy~ Especially thanks to all of the support and love I received through also the tough times by peeps like you~ Hope despite the tough year, you all also had a nice time with my stuff~ Good end of the year and onwards to 2024 🥰💕

Soo... why is it taking me so long?
Yeah, I got suspended here right about a week ago. Due to """"underage"""" characters. I'll be extra careful but I'm very much losing patience and energy on this site.

Doesn't help that I got sick with a sore throat, got better, my pc broke down, got it fixed on Halloween, got sick again, discovered today it was Covid. I got da disease. It's very mild and I'm doing mostly fine do not worry. And if I don't get something done tomorrow I will go insane.

Status update: yes, I did say I would open comms at the beginning of the month. I encountered a few problems that didn't allow me to do it:
1) too many events in the first week of October
2) my tablet pen actually dying, and me finding out there's not official replacement.(fortunately found a knock off that works just as well, but it's not a final solution...)
3) my razor not charging anymore, another heart attack which got solved, but I'm a little shaky atm @ _ @

But hey, on the positive side I'll be able to open comms soon...
... my abs are showing more and more, finally I got stronger thighs than my sibling, I'm taking care of myself and have invested again, so much money, but to get my lil face a very good glow up (bread removal for life). So it's going well, hope you'll enjoy what I got in store~

So, seems like FA's staff really hates me in particular for some reason. Just received an answer from them regarding why my pics where removed. The answer was, and I quote:

"Your content was removed for being photographs focusing on body parts without creative content. Fur Affinity does not allow photography of that type."

Which ok, if the site was strictly banning this sort of things I would be fine. But search for "feet" and select for photography only, you can bet many of those 1200 results are pics just like mine (and since many aren't even tagged there are more as well I'd imagine). So why are mine specifically that are getting removed? kamilxoxo, mesuta, barefootboy28, I expect there will be a purge of them as well, right? Cause that's the thing with rules. You apply them equally. I'm not calling out these creators cause they did wrong to me, but to underline the hypocrisy that's been going on with the treatment of my content specifically.

Additionally, "without creative content" should reasonably make sense for things like snaps, quick selfies and stuff you'd post on social media. I spend time and edit every single image, one by one, so that it's of high quality, write a little teasing to frame it well if not a caption, not to mention the time to take the pic, the investment I did for better equipment, as I want these to be the highest quality I can deliver... and I get demolished. And you come to me saying this is not creative content?

I'll be honest, this is quite the let down. Again, not because I can't post my pics on here. I have a Pixiv account, I know what it's like if the whole site doesn't accept irl pics. But this is something else. This I can only describe as targeting... and has left a very bad impression and taste on this site. I'm very disappointed... I'll head to sleep, I'm tired after this...
