Posted 14 years agoHey people, stories from awhile ago are still coming along, despite how busy I've been, I think I've fixed my GIMP, but I'm not sure yet, I'll test it tomorrow. ANYWAY. Now for what I'm here to ask.
Does anyone know of anyone that's good at drawing ponies and will possibly do a free one? I'll even pay if necessary, I just can't find anyone that'll do em. Any help is GREATLY appreciated, I have a pony concept, his names Korsair :D

"Hey 66, Mind helping a girl out over here?" Echo 13's voice carried itself to the two men of the squad that were occupied with the small conical lead bits that were flying over their helmets. Despite the extreme noise, 66 heard the calming voice of Echo 13.
"Be right there 13, kinda busy at the moment." He fired off a few well scoped rounds, hitting two Faction soldiers in the head and one in the left tricep.
An explosion rang out through the corridor as a lobbed grenade blew up short of it's regular five second fuse. Echo 13 was lucky enough to be be behind her cover right as the explosive blew, sending shrapnel and flames into the tipped bookshelf, nearly splintering it.
"Hey 25, you in a good position to provide a bit of assistance?"
"Yeah, I've got space, 66 seems to be attracting most of the lead over here."
Echo 25 made his way over to her, nearly crabwalking sideways behind his combat shield, which was holding firm despite the constant papering of bullets.
"Get behind me! We're gonna try to make a push!"
"You sure bout' this 25?"
"Hell yeah! Get that SMG ready, were taking that nest!"
Echo 13 reloaded her MP-7, leaving the extra bullet in, giving her one more chance to hit an enemy. She preferred the "one in the chamber" method to reloading. In which the user reloads the magazine whole leaving the chambered shell in the barrel. Allowing one more bullet to be added to her 30-round box mag.
"I'm ready ya tank. Let's get this push ready. Hey 66! Give us a bit of rear support here!"
66 instinctively fell back to 13's previous position, giving him a good view of the rear of the push, also bestowing the responsibility of support on him, rather than it being 25's job.
"I'm in position 13."
"Okay team, on '1' we make the push. You ready 25?" Shots riddled the medic's shield, but it was steadfast.
"Yes ma'am" Echo 25 grasped his shield harness tighter.
"Kay' then, Three..." Echo 66 zoomed in his scope, onto a couple soldiers laying down fire on the team.
"Two..." 25 Took a deep breath and lifted his feet slightly, ready to protect his leader.
"One!" 13 Leaned to her right at the tank known as Echo 25 began his push. She let loose with full auto, using the hulking shield as cover as they both advanced toward the MG nest lighting up the corridors. Two soldiers dropped as the crowns of their heads we're violated by two 7.62mm bullets fired perfectly from 66's M416 rifle. 13 Fired another magazine above the shield this time, hitting the machine gunner square in the forehead, dropping him like a fly.
"God damnit! Stop them! I want another MG set up right here!" The commander of the faction troops pointed to a sandbag emplacement a bit further back from the rest.
"Get the bodies out of the way too! We need the fucking cover! You guys aren't worth the royal army title!" The Commander was a very high ranking soldier, tasked with the leadership of the Faction's royal army, he was not often seen overseeing his battles. His anxiety got the best of him though, encouraging him to take part in the skirmish.
The medic and the lightweight leader proceeded seemingly unopposed as 13 let out random bursts of fire in the troops direction. "Hey 13, you doing okay back there?"
"Yeah, I'm doing fine, you're shield is doing it's job quite nicely." She reloaded her MP-7 once again.
"Well, it's not meant to fail ma'am. You wouldn't go charging into a gunfight with a dysfunctional shield now would you?" The medic wasn't phased by the constant barrage of bullets, as such a situation has become regular to him.
"Well we seem to be breeding through these guys... Wait a minute." A second machine gun was being placed at the sandbag line directly in front and to the left of their pushing line.
"Hey 66! I got a nice question for ya! Over to the left! How many shots does it take to kill four soldiers setting up an MG nest?" Echo 13's voice once again carried itself to 66 without interference.
66's gun moved about 60 degrees to the left and released four rounds, striking the soldiers setting up the emplacement flawlessly in their faces, instantly killing all four.
"There's your answer 13, hope I got it right." 66 Focused his sights forward again, resuming the bloodshed.

[WIP] SHADOW OF THE ASSASSIN Opinions?
Posted 14 years agoNGC Story
"Conflicts are in the world, all over the place, small conflicts, big conflicts, they're everywhere... There always has to be some solution to each problem though, especially political ones, I like to think of myself as one of those solutions."
- Nikolai "Ghost" Chernov
SHADOW OF THE ASSASSIN
"Just a little closer..." A whisper was barely distinguishable over the loud ambience of the surrounding winds that the mountainous setting had provided him with. *Pew* The nearly inaudible sound left the silencer attached to Ghost's L96A1 and was coupled with a 7.62mm round that pierced the air around it, shattering the windshield of the jeep approaching the rear gate of the complex that lay in front of Ghost. His target: a rogue officer planning on a local invasion, Ghost's mission was a success, his target: KIA, not a single flaw throughout the entire operation, although that was the typical outcome he reported. As Ghost examined the scurrying assortment of rogues running aimlessly around trying to find the assailant, he simply waited, still as a boulder on the beach, untouched by the unforgiving tides. He remained in his position, without moving a muscle in his body, until he deemed the situation to be clear enough to begin his escape. He began to crawl away from his vantage point, towards the cover of the forest that painted the side of the snow-capped mountain. The lack of a spotter on this mission actually aided his cause, allowing him to leave without having to comply to adjusting to another's pace. He arrived at the near-edge of the forest, slightly within the boundaries of the patch of trees, just enough to avoid detection, he slowly straightened his posture and shifted from his slow crawl to a casual walk, making sure he would be able to see any traps, or sudden drops he didn't see on the way up the cliffside. Yet another mission executed perfectly.
"Ghost, I'd like to have a mission report by the end of tomorrow, I want to know everything." Ghost couldn't hear him at the time, it was second nature to him to turn his headset's volume to it's lowest possible setting without muting it. "Ghost!" The outburst was just loud enough to get into his head, "Sir?" "I want that report completed and submitted by tomorrow evening, can you do that?" "I'll get too it ASAP sir." "Good. We'll talk more when you get back, I sent a chopper to pick you up in a clearing two klicks west of your position, don't get into any trouble on your way there." "Got it, Ghost out." He started the trek to his destination, his conscience clear, absolutely no remorse from the task he had just taken part in. As he walked through the forest, snow crumbling beneath his feet, he couldn't help but slow down a bit to take in the serenity of the area, he liked it here. He felt "at home." He continued along his path ducking under branches, avoiding rocky terrain, laying low, he didn't mind the hazards, they did nothing to hinder his movement. He heard the whirring sound of the helicopter approaching the LZ that was merely a couple meters in front of him, as he walked into the opening, the helicopter was landing, out came four spec ops soldiers, ready to assist the Sniper, had there been any trouble trailing behind him. He hopped in the chopper, feet hanging off the edge slightly, once he was in the four soldiers loaded back into the bird and the helicopter lifted itself from the ground, pointed north and headed back to base.

Posted 14 years agoWhelp, thanks to the awesome
januspeldragon I have a portrait of my character Mordecai Sokolov, leader of Team Spectre, I've also had so more additions to the team, so that's always good, there's still one spot open, so anyone is welcome to fill that spot :) Once team Spectre is full, it's gonna need a group pic, but I don't think it'll be filled for awhile, even though there's only one spot left, I'm currently working on JanusPeldragon's story, but with classes and term papers and that stuff, I won't be able to work on it much this week. This was just kind of a random update journal, nothing really interesting going on, except for the Team Spectre update. (but that made me very happy ^U^)
