COVID-19 and Me
Posted 5 years agoThis will be one of the few times I use a journal system so here goes.
I'm a nurse, as my bio here states, and with this job came an already crazy schedule that I had learned to work with. I was lucky to have a schedule that allowed me to follow my passion of writing but recent events have changed that. My schedule has altered, my job itself has ebbed to something totally new, and my overall free time is spread thin as I help take care of the public and my family.
I never thought I would get to a level where people would pay me to write stories for them, or even to a point where people would read the stories I wrote.
I'm eternally grateful for all that; every watch, every favorite, every comment. They all mean so much to me. Until recently I never deleted the little notifications but the clutter started to bother me, I guess stress was getting to me.
I'm putting a halt on commissions for now, until my home life comes back into a normal swing. The most recent raffle will still be held, and I'll do my best to finish any story on my desk in a timely manner.
Again, I want to thank each and every person who reads my stories. It means so much to me and has been a bright light in some dark times in my life.

If you haven't entered yet, or were waiting to do so, this is your last chance to enter! There's 5 hours left, afterwards I won't accept any entry's. The winner will be announced shortly after the raffles end.

I'm back!
Posted 6 years agoChaotic. That would be the one word needed to describe everything that's been going on these last few months. I've been trying to find the time needed to write stories but every time I'd get a minute work would need a half hour and family would need an hour. It wasn't the best but things happened and I came through with all my parts intact and such.
I wanted to make this journal as an update to how things will progress going forward! I want to hold a raffle monthly and have it end going into my off weekend so I can start writing and collaborating immediately. It'll keep the standard structure where a comment is an entry, be anywhere from 2500-3000 words. If all goes well this will become a monthly routine. I enjoy writing just sometimes ideas come rather slowly so a raffle solves lots of issues.
The next journal will be something along the lines of a donation repository with things like my paypal.me link and some addresses to my crypto wallets. If you feel like my art warrants a donation feel free to do that and give a shout, note, or DM on my discord. And if you can't a few words of appreciation are always great to read.
