Uploading Again!
Posted 7 months agoI'm back to uploading artwork here! I'll be posting a little bit of a backlog, but since it's been literal years I don't want to overwhelm so it will be a slow trickle.
You can always follow me on Bluesky where I'm most active or join my Telegram broadcast channel to get new art as soon as it's shared.

Accepting First Dibs on GSFC Commission Slots
Posted 6 years agoIt's been awhile since I've done a convention, but I will be attending Golden State Fur Con as a dealer! If you're local to Irvine, please come check out this first-year con. I have high hopes for them :)
While I no longer take at-con commissions, I will be accepting a small number of commissions to be completed as take-home options (free shipping for those in the US). I'm offering early access to those commission slots to folks who back me on Patreon, but you can find all the info for those here:
https://www.patreon.com/posts/25918155
Looking forward to seeing you!

Thorn, where you been?
Posted 7 years agoI feel like I never come to FA anymore, and that's probably because its true.
Most of my art lives on Twitter now ThornwolfArt and my
patreon http://patreon.com/thornwolf
I don't find myself uploading to galleries much anymore. I don't take commissions really anymore, though I do for Patreon backers and at cons (my next one is BLFC, see you there!). I go for the upload that's quick and easy, and for that it's Twitter and Patreon. My patrons also get access to other art I haven't posted anywhere else, and process videos.
Sorry I've neglected this gallery so much, it's just not where I am! Just thought I'd let y'all know so you can follow me elsewhere :)

Want discounts, first dibs on original art, and perks?
Posted 8 years agoMy Patreon has switched from per-piece to per-month! Now, for even as little as $1/month, you can receive a behind-the-scenes peek at what I'm up to, including sketches, upcoming projects, kick starters, and more. By pledging higher amounts, you get even more perks, including prints and a hand-written letter from me each time I finish a new piece that's being turned into prints, free copies of my latest publications (sketchbooks, inked drawing collections, coloring books, and more).
Please support me on Patreon! The art you see and enjoy is made possible by my wonderful backers :)

Jammie Jam is this weekend!
Posted 8 years agoTHIS WEEKEND join an online con you can attend in your jammies!
July 28-30, myself and a bunch of other artists are going to be offering commissions, discounts, special items, art auctions, and streams.
What is Jammie Jam?
It's a virtual convention where artists and merchants of all kinds get together (in their jammies!) to offer opportunities to commission custom artwork, discounts on merchandise, and the ability to watch them stream artwork live from the comfort of your own home. All the fun of interacting with your favorite artist at a convention all without having to get off the couch!
This event is also intended to help the artists who depended on income from the now cancelled RMFC, so please do support them!
It costs absolutely nothing to join or attend, another benefit of a virtual con.
Artist Participation List
Go to this Google Doc to check out who is participating and support them! Our biggest artist list yet!
What I'm Offering
- Store sales! Go to my Storenvy store and enter the code JAMMIEJAM at checkout to receive 25% off your entire purchase. Orders of $30 of more after discount will receive a special extra goodie! That code is good now so feel free to start using it whenever you like! It will end after this weekend.
- Commissions! Click here to see my commission menu. You can reserve your spot today by emailing me at thornwolf.art[at]gmail.com

Even just $1 gets you first access to these slots, but of course higher tiers have even more rewards (including commission discounts, as much as 25%, wow!)

Currently open for Zootopia commissions for Patrons only -

About my Patreon: My Patreon is how I'm able to continue creating art and bringing you the things you love. This is a way for you, my audience, to say "I like your art and want you to keep creating" and toss a few tip dollars my way. I don't pay-wall content (everything I make gets posted online), but patrons have first access to commission slots and receive perks, access to art giveaways, personal updates, and discounts. You also get a say in what I make, and receive additional bonuses for my other projects (such as my Kickstarters). I try to keep a nice community so please join us! All are welcome :)

FC Meme! I will be going, here's how to find me.
Posted 9 years agoHowdy ho furlings! I will be breaking my nearly 2-year hiatus and dealing at FC! Let's see if I remember how to do this, shall we? :D Here's that meme thing going around so you know how to find me.
Days staying:
Thurs through Monday! I will be leaving early Monday though, gotta catch a flight!
Staying at:
The Hilton
How are you traveling?
Driving up, flying back.
Who are you rooming with?
moo and
keet
Who will you be with?
I will be all by my lonesome (no husbeast with me this time) but I will be accompanied by the lovely
omi during business hours at my table in the big Dealer's Den, table #61, please come say hi!
Where will you be?
Mostly in the Dealer's Den! Unless I gotta pee. In which case LOOK OUT I'M A RUNNIN'
How is the best way to find you?
I am a twitter addict so just @ me ThornwolfArt on Twitter if you can't find me, but I will be in the Dealer's Den Table #61.
What is your gender?
Boobulous Maximus. (pronouns are she/her)
How tall are you?
4'11"
What do you look like?
Short, dark reddish hair, teal streaks, hipster glasses and a grin like I'm up to something. But I'm not I swear! ... :)
How old are you?
31
Are you mated/in a relationship?
Murried. Not accepting applications.
Can I talk to you?
Yes! But please bear in mind that I am here to work, so if I'm at my table, please be respectful of my time and attention, we can catch up afterward :D
Can I hug and/or snuggle you?
I'd prefer not please. I'm going to be super diligent to fend off con crud as I have my family visiting the following week and don't want to be sick for that. Elbow touches and bro fists welcome.
Are you nice?
I like to think so! I might seem aloof but I'm just overwhelmed and forgetful. I don't bite though I promise.
Are you cliquey?
No, but I do have some close friends I'm set on seeing there and tend to keep to myself/familiar folks. But I'm open to meet new people :) I'm suuuuuuuuuuper introverted (which is a big part of why I stopped doing cons to begin with) so I'm trying to ease into this. Be gentle please!
Are you fursuiting?
Nope, don't have one. But I will climb inside an animal bag if coaxed.
If I see you, how should I get your attention?
Just call out my name! Thornwolf, Niko/Nicole (RL name) any are fine.
Can I draw in your sketchbook?
Oh I guess I gotta bring one, uuuuuh YES!
Can we hang out?
As mentioned above I'm probably going to be with a small group of mutuals but I will be wandering in and out of social groups :)
Where will you be eating?
EVERYWHERE! AT ALL TIMES!
Can I come to dinner with you?
I'm at the invitation of others so sorry the invitation is not mine to give!
Can I ask ya to dance with me during the dances?
Sure! I'm not good but it's super fun.
Can I buy you drinks?
Yes thank you!
Do you attend parties?
Sometimes!
Can I take your picture?
Sure, just ask first!
May I kidnap you to my room?
Invitations are always welcome, I might have to politely decline depending on my plans but I appreciate the thought always!
Attending any events?
I'll be mostly working in the Dealer's Den so I guess it depends on what I can attend.
What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
Sell all of my cool merchandise (artist-designed lapel pins, zootopia stuff, art, commissions!) I'm at table #61 in the big Dealer's Den and will have a panel in the art show!

ANNOUNCEMENTS - For this weekend
Posted 10 years agoI have a couple of brief announcements pertaining to this weekend specifically!
Adult Print Auction
In case you missed it, I am currently running an auction for 4 of what likely are the last prints by my ex boyfriend and former fandom artist Silber known to exist. He left the fandom years ago and has purged a lot of his art from the internet, so I'm selling off these 4 jumbo prints from my art-by-others stockpile. One has been purchased already, and 2 don't have bids yet, but this auction ends Sunday 8PM Pacific

Jammie Jam
Jammie Jam, a virtual convention I and several other artists are participating in (in our jammies!), is happening this weekend! My commission slots have filled for the weekend, but you can still watch me stream ( http://tigerdile.com/thornwolf ) or take advantage of an unprecedented 25% OFF sale in my store, using the code JAMMIEJAM ( http://thornwolf.storenvy.com ).
Full details about participating artists, and more information about Jammie Jam itself can be found on this submission: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16671029/

Merchandise Liquidation SALE! 25% OFF!
Posted 10 years agoWell I'm back from BLFC, and I wanted to thank everyone for making this the best 30th birthday party/con ever!
As some of you already know, I'm taking a long hiatus from the con circuit. I'm not sure when I'll be dealing at cons again, but it won't be for at least a year, likely longer. That said, I've put all of my remaining merchandise up on my shop to liquidate the majority of my stock, as well as get ready for our up and coming home-con, "Jammie Jam", taking place the weekend of June 5-7.
Use the code "JammieJam" at checkout to get 25% any purchase over $10 in my entire store!
http://thornwolf.storenvy.com
Missed out on getting a Citizen Badge at BLFC? No worries! I have limited slots, but I've put the remaining stock up on my shop as well, just $5 each! Hurry though, once they're gone, they're gone, as I won't be printing any more and I only have 100 holders left.

Thanks everyone once again!

Posted 10 years agoGreetings, everyone! Since last Spring's Jammie Jam was such a success, we're going to be doing it again, but this time, are being absolutely sure that all of you can be prepared for it and get in on the action.
When: June 5-7 (Friday thru Sunday)
What Is Jammie Jam?
A virtual convention where artists and merchants of all kinds get together (in their jammies!) to offer opportunities to commission custom artwork, discounts on merchandise, and the ability watch them stream artwork and panels live from the comfort of your own home. All the fun of interacting with your favorite artists at a convention all without having to get off the couch!
It costs absolutely nothing to join or to attend, another benefit of a virtual con.
How Do I Participate As An Artist or Business?
The more artists and merchants who offer specials, the better our virtual convention will be. Send an email to Thornwolf at thornwolf.art[at]gmail.com with the title “Jammie Jam Application” and the following information (don’t leave anything out, if something doesn’t apply to you, just say N/A) so you can be added to the official Jammie Jam Participation Listing (seen here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet.....it?usp=sharing )

Deadline to submit your name to be included in the official Google Doc is June 1 2015. If you don’t make it on time, you can still participate in Jammie Jam, but you just won’t be listed on the official Google Doc, so it is best to get those apps in on time!
Need a streaming service? Many participants of Jammie Jam are using Tigerdile (http://www.tigerdile.com ). This furry-run streaming service is designed with artists in mind, doesn’t have any pesky advertisements, and you can even stream adult material. Check them out and register your account today!

FC Meme! See you at the con :3
Posted 11 years agoThis is going to be my last FC for awhile, so definitely want to make it count! Anyway, here's the FC Meme :3
-Hotel?
Hilton
-Arrival/Departure
Thursday to Monday
-Means of transportation
Carpool
-Sharing a room with:
wolf-nymph
crimson_f0x and
noma
-Gender
Female
-Relationship Status
Married to
skorzy but he will be absent this year.
-How old are you?
29
-How tall are you?
4'11". Short!
-Are you an Artist?
Yes I am!
-Do you have an artist table?
I do indeed! I am at table 2 (against the back wall)
-What will you be offering at your table?
Stickers (including my recently posted Okami sticker packs), 2015 Werewolf Calendars, sketchbook services, prints (matted and unmatted) and originals.
-Do you take commissions?
I do! But very limited, and only what I can finish at the con. I'm not taking any homework this year, so if you'd like a sketchbook, get in early!
-Do you do trades?
Sorry, no. This con is mostly business for me.
-Are you a Fursuiter?
I am not, but I enjoy them!
-Attending parties?
Heck yes.
-Do you drink?
Heck. Yes.
-Can I buy you a drink?
If you'd like.
-Do you smoke?
No. I can't be around it either.
-Are you attending any panels?
Likely not. I always say I'm going to but I never make it.
-How do I identify my self to you?
Just say hello! Forgive me if I don't recognize you from previous conventions, I have a really hard time remembering ppl if they've changed their hair or ANYTHING. Also I tend to remember ppl by their online avatar so if you're not actually a blue fox IRL I might need a minute.
-Rules of engagement (physical contact)?
Due to this year's flu season being exceptionally rough, I will NOT be making ANY physical contact with anyone. No hugs, no handshakes, no high fives. Sorry! I have been vaccinated but this year's vaccine doesn't protect against all strains, and with my new job I'm still new enough that taking additional time off is touchy at best, so I'm just going to try to avoid it altogether. Sorry! I WILL, however, accept a polite nod and elbow-bumps :)
-How can I find you?
Table 2 in the dealer's room, I will be there during dealer's hours. You can always tweet at me too ThornwolfArt
-Can I talk to you?
Yes, but please keep the conversation brief at my table. I'm there to do business and it is pretty hard to draw and talk at the same time. I don't want to appear rude!
-Can I give you lots of money?
I won't say no!
-Can I hug or snuggle with you?
Please no, this con will be a no-contact sport for me this round.
-Can I hang out with you?
I really only stick with my pre-established group and am actually pretty anxious at these things, so sorry, going to just gonna put out a general "no" unless I invite you personally. Besides, since I don't have the hubs in tow this year I'm wanting to be kind of a free agent and float around solo to various ppl.
-Can I take your picture?
Please no. I hate how I look in photos.
-How do I know if you're not looking to socialize (angry, busy or upset)?
If I'm behind my table, assume I am "busy" and to keep the conversation to brief hellos and sales only. If it's after hours and I'm actively conversing with someone else, please wait your turn. If I'm by myself and don't appear to be running anywhere (e.g.: the bathroom) say hello! I'm not generally upset or angry at these things, and if I am, I will actively tell you, so just assume the best :3
-What's your goal for the con this year?
Make money, enjoy my last time at FC for awhile, see friends.
-Any questions?
Uuuuh...do you have any questions for me, I guess? Comment below!

State of the Artist - Some Announcements
Posted 11 years agoIt's been a long time since I've updated about my life at all, so I figured I'd write some stuff out.
On October 4th I will have been married a full year to
skorzy! We're very happy and it's hard to believe a year has already passed! We're doing a 1 year anniversary trip with friends to celebrate, so that should be fun.
I've been actively looking for a stable job for over 2 years now. I know a lot of you long-term unemployed folks know just how that goes. It's pretty soul crushing to constantly apply and either not hear anything back or get the form rejection. Honestly I think the not hearing anything back is the worst. I don't really talk a lot about my career path on here since it's neither furry nor art related (surprise!) but I've been a freelance marketing consultant for 6 years (copywriting/design focused) and I needed a change. Being a catch-all consultant is a lot of work, because you're not only having to put together a marketing strategy, you also have to execute it all, and over the years I've learned more about what I like and what I don't like, so I felt like it was time to focus on the things I enjoy. Not to mention, being both a freelance artist AND a freelance marketer is just too much to handle, because you're having to actively find clients in 2 completely different markets and one market is a full time job as it is, but I didn't want to give up art at all. Unfortunately this can leave me stretching myself too thin.
So, I'd been looking for a full-time position in a company's marketing department (either as an asset designer or as a copywriter, or an extra set of hands to help refine both) to have a steady 9-5 so I can go back to enjoying art again without having to solely rely on it. It was slow going, and I actually felt extremely discouraged a few months ago to the point where I didn't even want to open my computer and fire off another application.
Completely by chance, I got an interview at a local company. Very local. Extremely local. It's down the street. They needed someone to maintain their blog and help them with copywriting since they don't really have a dedicated copywriter at all. Long story short, I was hired on the spot as their Publications Editor (oo fancy) and I've been working for them for the last 2.5 months. I LOVE it. The people are great, and they truly appreciate me, which is something I've never had before in a job (outside of furry, furry folks are really nice), much less an office job.
In fact, I've been doing so well, that they offered me a full time job there. I told them I have some freelance obligations to finish up before I can in good conscience accept and they're totally cool with it. As it is (and they are well aware of this), I'm working nights and weekends to tie off my loose ends, so once I've gotten more of a handle on things I'll be taking on more hours bit by bit until I'm full time. It's such a relief to have such a good relationship with a company who understands freelancers and likes me enough to be flexible around this ;__; I'm so happy!
What This Means For My Furry Art
Since my ultimate goal is to get my commission queue down so I can accept this full time job, I am not going to be accepting any new commissions for 2014. After that, I will be focusing on my Patreon efforts and drawing for myself and exploring my own skill. Any new larger commissions I accept will ONLY be offered through FA auction, and smaller things (like icons and badges) will be first come first served like usual. For conventions, I'm going to be going to FC and BLFC in 2015 (It will be my 30th birthday the first day of BLFC, woo hoo!).
Since I'm not completely supporting myself on my art anymore, I'm going to be taking this opportunity to rediscover myself artistically, challenge myself, and reignite my passion again.
Links of Note:
Patreon - You can get sneak peeks of things I'm working on and support me in making cool art out of my own head, this goes along with the above statement of rediscovering my art: http://patreon.com/thornwolf
My Store - I add all original art and new products there on a regular basis. Patreon sponsors have access to discount coupons: http://thornwolf.storenvy.com
My Twitter - I pretty much live on Twitter so I announce everything there first: @ThornwolfArt
Weasyl - I'm mostly posting personal and project art here because I don't really like the organization of FA. If they had folders where I could put commissions, sketches, etc. and not clutter up my main gallery I would like it more, but since Weasyl uses this system I put MOST of my artwork on there. I will still post here, but not everything I draw will be posted here, but will on Weasyl. Again though, if you follow my Twitter, you'll see everything too. - http://weasyl.com/~thornwolf
Tumblr - I haven't been using it much lately since I've been so busy playing catch up but I do plan on getting back into the asks and posting doodles there. Mostly phone-snaps of WIPs I have.

Thank you everyone for your support! Really if it weren't for furry art keeping me going, this job hunt would have been a lot more dismal. You guys are the best!
