i REALLY like expressive characters, cool teeth, cool tongues (split tongues, forked tongues, etc!), cool ears, felines, and human-y things!
i DISLIKE over three eyes, more than three horns, and more than one set of ears. also anything that sets off my trypophobia.

also, at the urging of my boyfriend, i have decided to keep using this account solely for design and adoptable sales.
i will not be accepting commissions on this account, nor posting personal work. i have deleted all prior personal pieces that were up in my gallery, but will be giving it a once over in a bit to make sure i've cleared out all but commissions.

Posted 12 years agookay so a more serious journal on this because i've been discussing it with tortle and thinking it over.
i would at some point like to stop using FA altogether. i am extremely uncomfortable with the administration, the general atmosphere, and how the whole thing is being responded to and handled and i'd like to get the hell away from it.
i will likely start cleaning out personal works and moving them to weasyl. i will be posting regularly and accepting commissions there instead, and all commission offers/freebies/deals will be located there. i have a set of adoptables i'd intended to sell here that will still be sold, and then all further design sales/adoptables will be done via weasyl as well, so i highly suggest following me there!
commissions will remain here, in full, unless you'd like me to delete yours, which i would totally understand! i will be reposting ALL A LOT (oh my god i didn't realize how many commissions i've done, ooohhh my god) of my more recent commissioned work to weasyl that has been posted here, so if you'd like to let me know your weasyl account so i can link you there properly, i would be extremely grateful! i also have a few commissions left to finish up, but if you'd rather i not post them here and post them only to weasyl (and tumblr) instead with a link to your account there i would totally understand and be happy to do that, just inform me!

i am not going to offer edits on these, or WIP stages. i will do my best to stick to your character's design, but please keep this in mind. i will just draw them and post them as soon as they're done, like the "surprise me" deals i've been offering!

-i will draw nudity (you must have a nsfw reference for this), or fully clothed, or anything in between! i will put SIMPLE pants on a nsfw commission to allow for both nsfw and sfw versions for no extra charge, but i stress pants must be SIMPLE (solid color leggings, plain boxers, plain swim trunks, etc.)
-i will draw any sex/gender
-i will draw any body type
-i will draw anything human like, furry, scaley, feathered, or fairly easy bugs (ant-like, bee-like, etc.)! if the species of your character may be unclear or unlisted PLEASE inform me of it, as i like to keep facial structures close to the original animal!

i'm spending p much the next five hours just working solely on commission stuff without distractions, so i intend to get everything i had promised by christmas done by christmas plus one or two other things.
but i wanted to apologize anyway. this month has been really rough, but the past week especially has been kind of a clusterfuck. i've always been a fairly moody person but it's been very easy to coat it with optimism and roll my moods in some sugar and then just get on with life in the past, but the past week has been a long series of very short, very persistent ups and downs and i have hit every single mood i am capable of in the span of like. six days. often many times a day (somehow???). i'm not really sure why or what is going on but it's left me completely fuckin exhausted and useless and i am really sorry i let it get the best of me
i thought you guys kinda deserve some sort of explanation for the lack of productivity, since many of you are commissioners and i absolutely owe you an update, however "haha, yeah, sorry, i'm basically just a complete emotional/mental mess for no clear reason" it is.
so i am going to go ahead and get my ass moving on things for the next few hours, before i am dragged off to wrap gifts and bake! god only knows why anyone would want me to be baking, i'm still confused because i am a fuckin awful baker but W/E I GET TO EAT COOKIE DOUGH

Posted 12 years agogoing to try and have all current painting commissions sketched + basic flats thrown on within the night, with the intention of finishing the current ones within the week! likewise, i'd like to have my other current commissions finished within that timeframe (an ittybitty, and a couple donation waist-ups), so i thought i might as well open for some more of these to be done within a month or so.
the base price for a single character image is $60 USD, payment is expected up front via paypal!
i am going to hesitantly offer couples' commissions this round. i'm reaaally testing the waters here, so the base price for a SFW painted image with two characters is $100 USD. if you would like a NSFW couples' image, the price is subject to increase based on specifics, but i will inform you of any price increases!

-i will draw nudity (you must have a nsfw reference for this), or fully clothed, or anything in between! i will put SIMPLE pants on a nsfw commission to allow for both nsfw and sfw versions for no extra charge, but i stress pants must be SIMPLE (solid color leggings, plain boxers, plain swim trunks, etc.)
-i will draw any sex/gender
-i will draw any body type
-i will draw anything human like, furry, scaley, feathered, or fairly easy bugs (ant-like, bee-like, etc.)! if the species of your character may be unclear or unlisted PLEASE inform me of it, as i like to keep facial structures close to the original animal!
-i will not draw hyper, scat, vomit, watersports, diaper, etc!
-complex characters may warrant additional charges, i will inform you of any added costs when i get your references!
---but due to this i must request you send ALL necessary info in your FIRST message! i will not be making edits for info/refs received later.
-i will send you TWO wip stages!
---the first will be a set of thumbnails (3-4 small, sketchy poses) for you to choose from, with minor adjustments to the available poses if you so desire (lift this leg, reposition that hand, maybe have the head facing the viewer instead, etc.).
---once you've chosen one i will resketch it in a larger size and slap on some flat colors to verify markings and colors are correct. i will not correct colors after i start painting!
---i will make MINOR edits (tweak a shine spot, fix an eye color) to finished work! if necessary, please allow yourself a week after seeing the finished image to verify all details are satisfactory, but due to time limitations i cannot make edits after two weeks.
-i do not lift colors from refs, please do not expect me to! i adjust colors, typically for lighting and mood, but i will always try to remain fairly true to the character.
-if i am for some reason unable to finish your commission, i will offer you a refund MINUS the cost of the work done (80% at thumbnail stages, 50% at sketch + flats stage, 15% if painting is in progress)

i haven't tried it yet and i want to, because i rely heavily on commission funds for grocery money and waiting on paypal clearing things to the bank is a huge pain in the ass when you're down to a pack of ramen and an egg between two people. i feel like it would make my life a whole lot easier and less stressful, but i want to know what someone who's used it before thinks???

Posted 12 years agohey guys! sorry i haven't been super active here. things have been pretty stressful the past few months, but this past month especially with a lot of family stuff, family health issues, and living situation complications. i've been a little overwhelmed irl and i haven't given myself a break or a breath in ages because i tend to fall in to workaholic mode when i'm stressed. it's really killed my emotional and mental stability and has set off or worsened issues i've already had for ages, and needless to say it boiled over a bit!
i've been pretty much useless the past couple of days, i've finished all of like, one thing. i hope no one minds if i take a few days to try and sort my shit out! i'll probably work on things over the next two days but a little slowly as i'm gonna try and study up on some stuff, then take monday and tuesday off entirely, then work on stuff again wednesday. thursday is both US thanksgiving and my birthday so i'm probably just gonna bum around with my girlfriend (she's making me salmon, i'm pretty fuckin stoked for salmon!)
priorities are ittybitty commission for garefowl, human design commission for rainbow, and a painting commission for peli_kan, so i will be actively working on these over the course of the next week, along with some commissions done to donate to a friend's rescue cat's surgery. thank you guys for your patience, you are truly excellent, and i really appreciate it. ♥

SKETCH COMMISSIONS tomorrow!
Posted 12 years agoi have a friend who rescues cats and has recently taken in an absolute sweet girl who is likely in need of dental surgery. my goal this month, aside from being able to eat, was to donate to a cat rescue or charity, and i can't think of a cat more deserving than this right now!
i'm going to open some sketch commissions tomorrow for probably $25 USD or so a piece, in this loose style! feline characters will cost $20!! depending on how things go tomorrow i might try to stream a couple of these, but no promises!
all funds will be going toward helping this baby, so you're basically donating to a cat in need and getting art for it! that's gotta be kind of enticing, right??
