alright SO those on my twitter have probably noticed my twitter feed getting angrier/more depressive. I'm really sorry about that. I'm in the process of making a personal twitter and keeping it separated from my main one.

Typically I try to keep away from posting emotional crap here. I try to be as openly professional as I can or at least overall a positive vibe. Lately Its hard for me to do that. Been going through some personal/at home junk and not handling that very well and on top of that my only outlet; working, keeps hitting snags and causing more frustration.

My computer is literally my life. If it doesn't work I can't work. I might as well go panhandle on the side of the road. I am completely useless without it. I've been working hard or at least trying to to get my queue completely finished, my original goal was this friday, or to at least have my paid queue finished. Well after loosing 6 hours of work yesterday the likely hood of that happening is null.
These problems from an outsiders view shouldn't effect my emotions but it does. I dont have a life, i dont have friends here, I don't do things here other then occasionally fish. I haven't seen anyone other then hubs since anthrocon. Working is my coping mechanism. With work I have a chance to make money and go places, see friends, actually contribute to society, I have a future, so it being gone makes things feel very hopeless. This is why there have been almost no updates, this is why I've been so quiet. I don't like bothering people with my bullshit and baggage. I know I have friends, I know people care, but i don't want to burden them with this. I want to be that happy go lucky friend that others can talk to when they are down.

Yesterday when photoshop crashed I went into my bedroom huddled under the covers and tried not to cry. Really if it weren't for  fishyboner I probably would've stayed there for the rest of the day.

I am feeling better today and going to try and redo all the stuff I did yesterday as well as try and finish a few other things or at least get a few things started. I'd very much like if I could open for commissions again as I'm starting to really need the money. One thing I'll probably set up today is a print sale, since it's the one thing i can do/sell that doesn't require more backlog. I apologize for this stupid depressing post. I know I'll get a lot of comments saying if I ever want to talk you're there and trust me it means a lot and i know it, but I will most likely never talk. I don't like burdening people I don't like bothering them and even if I'm not a burden or bother i will internally always feel that way.

It's like in the end, i'll be alright. I'll survive. I always have.



To attempt to end this on a lighter note: I will be attending FurtherConfusion In California! I will officially be in the marketplace! I'm also hoping to have buckets of brand new stuff to sell and am hoping to be spending a good chunk of time in December preping for it. I May open up for traditional AND digital badge pre-orders withing the next week or so for FC AND Fangcon, which I'll also be attending(though need to check with the dealers den again)

SO. there is that. I just need to get my computer running smoothly again.

And for all you guys who know stuff about computers, most likely the problem is a collection of tiny little bugs in win 7 and photoshop.
I've been fucking with this thing for the last month and half trying to figure out why its been behaving badly. As soon as one problem goes away another comes up. I've got a good rig and it's been a major hassle to try and figure out whats wrong. computers are finicky and mean things.

seriously though....

Currently using xsplit pro and it's been slowing down photoshop CC to the point that it cuts production in probably about half when i'm using it..Something that i can use for regular streaming would also be helpful

Okay SO I recently got a cintiq 13HD maybe 2..3 weeks ago? And have been having issues with it and photoshop ever since.
I recently upgraded to windows 10 and with that Photoshop CS5 the user interface is TINY. Like so small my cursor spans the entire length of the "select" drop down. So I figure, whatever, I'll just go with CC. Bout time to upgrade. WELL CC is lagging with brush strokes and I mean every single one OR pressure sensitivity shuts off randomly.

I have tried with CC: uninstalling/reinstalling the wacom drivers (about 10 times)
-Updating graphics driver
-downgrading the Graphic processor setting in CC to "basic"
And even when i went back to windows 8 I ended up still having the issue of the brush sensitivity randomly shutting off.
I'm now back to windows 10 because for some reason windows 8 isn't playing nice with anything(icons not showing up, not letting certain programs open, screen saver acting up, interface issues)..At this point i dont know if it's Photoshop a wacom driver or windows..

With CS5.5 I can't find ANY solutions either. I've tried messing with the DPI on my tablet and it effects everything else NOT photoshop.

So For a while I've really wanted a consketchbook..you know those awesome things you throw at artists and have them draw in it for x amount of money or trades?

So dont get too excited, but I will be trying to attend FC in San Jose I'm unsure when the market place(their version of the artist alley) is opening just yet, so currently I'm trying to figure out how to get there the cheapest way possible...and there is a chance Hubs wont be able to go with me..
Currently from where I'm at is a 45 hour drive which means roughly 3600 miles of driving...potentially alone..So I'm considering flying..since it'd be cheaper and less draining, but I have NO idea how I'd get my stuff there. I may be able to check 2 bags and just that be that..but Unsure how i feel about it. Basically I'm looking for advice from other artists who do this thing regularly.

Alright, this is one of those people that I believe is vastly under appreciated, who also happens to be an amazing wildlife photographer.

I've gone ahead and purchased the "reference pack" but I plan on purchasing all of his excellent photo packs. Having a stock pile of really good photosgraphy is ESSENTIAL for me as an artist who likes to attempt realism. Robbo is an AMAZING photographer and works extremely hard to capture beautiful photos and it really shows. he's also an extremely pleasant and polite person from the few interactions I've had with him. Even if you arnt an artist who could use the photos, you should give him a watch just for the amazing photography he offers. This is my way of giving back for offering such amazing pieces of inspiration <3

Dont have much time, but just checking in. AC was pretty sweet. I actually did much better then i thought I would. My biggest regret was not being able to art jam and hang out with friends a bit more, but it was still a blast to get to spend time with friends i rarely ever get to see. Currently Post con depression is in full swing but i haven't been letting it keep me behind. I ended up bringing home several take-home sketches and even managed to get some full color traditional commissions that i'm super excited about!
For the next week or so I'll be hacking away at those commissions as well as playing catch-up with the little company I work for.

I am very pleased that There has been an update about the "accidental" porn ads and a publicly announced apology. I was a bit worried there wouldn't be an update (guess I missed it yesterday whoops) I still think it should've been much sooner and that it didn't address the severity of the dammage done. That and I wish they would further explain "mature" based ads. I'd still rather not see strippers and dildo ads..

After a comment from  shadydude on my last journal I decided to follow  dragoneer's twitter to maybe figure out what the hell is going on, why the porn ads, etc.
From what I gathered about reading some of his tweets...the porn was apparently a horrible mix-up between the ad suppliers. There was apparently never supposed to be porn-ads on FA and supposedly they have all been filtered out.
BUT with that said I never was really able to see the ads other then through third party tweets/journals and will not be making a final choice on if i will be leaving until Dragoneer makes a public statement about the mix-up. However, I have still decided that I will be making my weasyl account : https://www.weasyl.com/~tidma a more common place and will be offering commissions there first from now on regardless of the happenings on FA. So basically when I open for commissions it will go through my email listers, weasyl and then lastly FA. If the porn ads are actually gone for good there will otherwise be no change and I wont be going anywhere. :) Again I'm waiting for a public statement from Dragoneer about the mix up before I make a choice solid. From his twitter he apparently is recovering from oral surgery, but I expect a statement to be made within a week(i hope). Alright...so this is something that I'm not grabbing my pitchfork-jumping on the bandwagon-screaming to the sky.
It's actually something that I feel is a personal choice and a business one. A lot of artists have said it better and sport EXACTLY how I feel. But when it comes down to the nitty gritty: I cannot allow my artwork to be associated with a real-porn site. FA has always been something that I knew was risky to put my art on, but I always rationalized it:
1. FA is typically Sex positive and more importantly ALL ABOUT THE ART.
2. Up until now I could easily keep in my own little bubble on FA and not be associated with porn or porn artwork
3. NOT ALL MATURE ART SHOULD BE CONSIDERED PORN.
4. Keeping my art here(on an art-based furry site) shows my support for furries and the furry community. You could say it's kind of like a bumper-sticker saying: hey, these guys are cool. Dont listen to the news BS. I'm not ashamed of being a part of this community/culture.

I'm not a porn artist. I keep it SFW. I dont really like porn, in fact porn can be a trigger to some very dark thoughts that I don't want to get into. Really, ironically, Furries and FA have been one of the first sex-positive things I've ever been introduced to. These porn-ads are a constant reminder to something that I not only loathe, but brings up some very dark feelings that I've been trying hard to let go for a very long time. I also believe there is a distinct difference between fatasy based adult-themed things and commercial porn.

Yes I know you can have ad-block and not see them(I actually haven't seen a single porn pop-up since this has happened and i dont even have ad-block)
but that is not stopping others from coming to my page and seeing the porn pop-up. I understand that you shouldn't see the porn ads if you're SFW filter is on; HOWEVER as stated I do not consider all mature art to be porn and there are a few artists I watch that will do tasteful-nudity.


FA and the furry community has been a safe haven for me. This is the first place I've ever found friends and have been truly accepted, ever. This community pulled me out of very dark times and has been a constant support for me. This community Made my artwork what it is today, making me be a professional. I owe A LOT to the furry community as a whole, but it all started here. On this page. This is not a choice that I make lightly and I type these words with disappointment and hope that FA will listen to their community and make changes. FA has fucked up a lot, I know. But I had always hoped that it would eventually become better and maybe they would start listening. I'm still going to wait about a week before doing anything drastic. But if no changes happen I will be wiping my gallery and only posting here when I'm open for commissions elsewhere. I cannot afford to have a client outside the community, my family, or anyone else find my art here and get Rape/porn/bestiality ads. I've already started making the move away from furry artwork in general, but had made a promise to continue to take private furry-based commissions(some of my friends already know this) But the ads and the fact that I do not have a following outside of FA will most likely make it impossible. So if I leave. It will be mostly for good. But until then I'm going to stubbornly stay and hope that things will change.

So I saw the specialist and found he was more of a spine surgeon then anything else. He looked at my xrays and told me I'm definitely not bad enough that I would need any sort of spine surgery as far as the bones go. He did suggest that i should probably get an MRI to really see whats going on in there and also pointed me in the direction of their only physiotherapist. I actually didn't know there was a physio anywhere near me. The surgeon said they are really rare in the US. So I'm actually reaaally lucky that there is one only about an hour away from me! Otherwise I still dont really know why I get some horrid pain sometimes. The surgeon said that my scoliosis is really mild and really there isn't any way to tell if the disks are degenerative unless I take an MRI. SO really I got a mixed bag. On the one hand I dont need surgery(as far as i know) so YAY on the other I'm more unsure as to whats really going on. The appointment with the physio isn't until mid-month next month..so for not I guess I'll hug my pain pills and keep trying to strengthen my back..

I'm somewhat stuggling on what I should make for the artshow. Right now I'm thinking having a few portrait type things might be a good idea, either to sell at my artist alley table or in the artshow.
I'm already going to do a Tiger and most likely a fox or wolf..or both. But I'd really like to have a little bit of a variety.. Throw your Ideas at meh! Some of the more popular species will probably make the list, so feel free to upvote others picks!

As titles states, been working hard to get ready for AC and still work on the last dregs of my digital art that I owe.
As far as a back update: I'm handling things really well emotionally and am constantly reminded on how amazingly sweet and awesome you and my friends are. I've got an appointment an hour away on the 19th with a spine specialist who actually specialists even further in scoliosis and degenerative disc issues. I'm really excited and eager to hear what he has to say and really start moving forward on what i can do to make my life better.

For AC I'm quietly preparing some stuff for the artshow, once thats ready I'll be posting some pics of my set-up. I'm also anticipating the release of the artist alley lottery results (Should be tomorrow D: ) But for now I'm cutting Matte board, signing and packing prints like a mad-woman and frantically finishing things for the artshow while finishing up the few badges I've got left. There is a lot of moving forward and I'm actually more ahead of schedule then I'd thought I'd be. Still waiting for a couple things to ship, but all should be well and finished by next friday.

Otherwise I've been working on the last bit of Digital art that I've got left. I thank those who've been ridiculously patient with me. You're amazing people and could if you wanted make my life a million times more stressful.


I've decided that once I get things figured out I will be doing things drastically different then i have. Some of you may have noticed that I cleared my front page and it currently only has what I owe and a description of my sona(and thats only there because the journal I made has disappeared :C ) Once everything figured out, there will be changes a foot and many of them. I wont say anything until I've finished all that I owe and my back situation is figured out. Many changes folks will be saddened by I'm sure, but right now I've got to look at whats best for me.

Sometimes I'm really blown away by the support and kindness this community has to offer.
When I'm home alone 90% of the time I really forget what it's like to have so many people genuinely care about me, a total stranger.
there is no amount of thank yous, gifts, hugs, or anything that can show how or what this community has done for me.
I can only feel incredibly humbled by it all. This community is an extremely giving one. I know a lot of it is because I'm an artist and I've gained popularity over the years, but still. So many of you have reached out. It really is an amazing thing to me. If anyone needs a little hope for humanity, check my last journal. There is about 100, maybe a few more comments showing nothing but support and caring, when I don't even know what I did to deserve it. haha I'm a sappy fuck underneath it all. I read all of the comments. Every last one and each made me feel a little bit better and gave me a little bit more of a fighting spirit. I'm one very lucky spoopy cat.

I just got off the phone with the doctor regarding my xray results
I have a degenerative back disease and scoliosis as well as Spinal stenosis.
They are in a somewhat early stage so right now there is nothing that can be done other then pain management. It's all at a "wait and see what my body does" thing. I was told that some days I'll have good days and others i'll just have back pain. Which isn't true. I have back pain everyday and there is nothing I can do about it. I'm 24 years old and I kind of feel like I've been condemned. I'm probably over reacting because I literally just got the news. I might try to get a second opinion from a spine specialist. I dont know. Right now I just feel kinda shitty.

After sitting on it. I still feel shitty, but I also feel like I need to fight. I'm going to take the results to a specialist and see if I have any other options then just pain meds. I hate meds as I've always felt that it covers up the problem not fixing it. And while I will most likely always bee in pain I feel there is a chance I can fight this and at least keep it from getting worse. I guess i'm in the "angery" phase. I kinda hope I dont leave it. Anger is a good motivator. I think I always knew I had something like this. I dont want it to be a crutch. I can't let this destroy my dreams.

And a quick health update for those that care:

Finally got a doctor that listened, got some better pain management pills and am scheduled for full back xrays and he told me i'll most likely need an MRI depending on what the xrays say. Got a little bump with insurance so I'm unsure exactly when i'll be able to go, but for once my pain isn't constant and is more often in the 1 range instead of it's usual constant 3 with spikes of 6-8 on the "pain scale" at this rate maybe I can get back to full timing digital stuff. *gets hopes up* We'll see. I'm kinda planning on pushing myself a bit in the mornings or late evenings to see how it goes. still wont be the 8+hours I used to do, but will be more then i've done in a long while.
