I've been busy with life in general lately. I'm trying to get back into drawing again after a dry spell that lasted for months. I couldn't find inspiration and the passion had left me for awhile. I'd been hired to draw human superheros for the newsletters and such for an office, so that takes up most of my creativity each month. But I hope to begin drawing more personal art soon, if I can get my Bamboo Fun tablet to cooperate with my dual-monitors.

I've been in a dino mood. Recently, I've bought a few adopts from other artists.

My list of characters is growing steadily. There are still a few characters that need to be fleshed-out. Currently, I'm working on a dalmatian, a damselfly, a diabloceratops hybrid, and a purple hyena based on the new WoW hunter pet model. :3 These are all loosely sketched out and awaiting further ink/color work or generally looking around for inspiration to make them feel like more of a character. I still want a pink 80s feral dog character, I don't have many ferals.. I should have more of those, even if it's just to practice drawing feral anatomy again. TBH, need to work on hands and feet in general, too. Blah!

I'm really not bogged down by genders cuz I'm just me. I dress how I like, act how I like, and usually feel nonbinary. If you want a specific label I feel that "androgyne" is the closest fit. Female pronouns are fine.

Suiting or hanging out with friends. We mostly stick to the convention center and the westin, we don't often venture beyond that unless it's for food.

During past AC's, we've been known to gravitate towards the Chinese place, Furnandos, the Westins sandwich shop and Sat morning we have ate at the Dealers room cafeteria while browsing the dealers.

If you are a close friend, sure.

Sure lol Not sure if you'll see anything good in there, but you can look if you like.

It's not really an "everybody contribute!" kind of sketchbook, it's just something i pick up to draw in from time-to-time.

Have fun, meet old friends and catchup with them, and fursuit til I drop.

To recap, our main lifeline during cons is text messaging. All of us always check our phones once we get back to the hotel room after fursuiting/showering, so if you are going out to eat, drop us a line and we'll get back to you asap. Either texting or direct Telegram messages.

I'm not going to be moving to FN and refuse to post anything there. I've found out that they allow ANYTHING (and I mean ANYTHING) to be uploaded to their site, including bestiality and childporn, "as long as it's labeled as such". Personally I don't want my name or my artwork to be tied to such things and strongly disagree with them. The site's staff is also involved in such activities and holds certain views I don't believe in. I'm simply going to leave my account there as a way for new people to find me on other websites.

Some of you came back to FA. Some of you can't reset your passwords. Some of you don't ever want to come back again.

Weasyl has very little traffic and Twitter isn't easy when watching someone for artwork. Some are going to FurryNetwork, but in my time spent there, I've found that the browsing UI is so glitched that I can't even scroll through artwork without the page freaking out, and then the page shoots to the top when I click on art and I have to start over again. I'm not sure what everyone sees in it, but I made a page for myself to temporarily try it out and I won't be posting art there.

I love Weasyl and wish that people would see the potential in it, especially now that it's an "open source" site! If you don't enjoy certain things about the site and have coding know-how, send some stuff their way and they can use it to make the Weasyl a better place.

Soooo, if you guys are not at these places.... Where DO you currently reside?

I just have to say, this is awesome! Some Pokemon fans began looking through a Japanese Trademark twitter feed last month, and discovered the names of the starter Pokemon as well as the Legendaries a month ahead of release. By deciphering the names, they already knew a lot about the Pokemon without art to show us. The Starters names meant "Wood Owl" (Mokuroh), "Meow Fire" (Nyabbi) and "Sea Lion Ball" or "Sea Lion Marine" (Ashimari). The legendary pokemon Solgaleo's name meant "Sun Galileo/Lion" after the astronomer, and the other legendary's name Lunaala meant "Moon Wing" so we knew it would be a flying animal like a bat or bird. There was a huge amount of hype surrounding Sun and Moon because of the secret knowledge that was discovered by fans. Suddenly fan art began covering the internet as artists tried to predict what they thought they'd look like. Yesterday, all the predictions came true, confirming that this is a really good way to sneak info about future Pokemon games.

One extra name has also been found by this method, its name is Marshadow (Marsh + Shadow). We still have yet to see this one introduced, but by its name, it's predicted to be a Water/Dark type since the similarly-named Marstomp is a water type (not a grass type). Some people believe that this will be the 3rd legendary because a Solar or Lunar Eclipse is a type of "shadow", but that doesn't explain the "marsh" part. In Hawaiian folklore, I found one brief reference to a shadow pond, a pond could be considered a marsh. "Kiha-wahine (a husband-stealing dragon goddess) ran and leaped down the precipice into a fish-pond called by the name of the shadow, or aka, of the dragon, Loko-aka (the shadow lake). So she was imprisoned by the pond, husbandless, narrowly escaping with her life." So with that in mind, maybe Marshadow will be a black shadowy dragon with pond attributes like cat-tails or lilipads?

Anyway, I'm really excited to explore the Hawaii-based region! I'm hoping for Pokemon that are Hibiscus, palm trees, canada geese, various ducks, green sea turtles, geckos, sharks, dolphins, whales, female Pele Volcano (a mountain-shaped skirt perhaps?), Night Marchers (warrior ghosts), tiki guys, a fire/grass type Ohia tree (plants reborn from ashes), Menehune, and so much more. I'm still waiting for a Flamingo pokemon, but they aren't native to Hawaii, so the wait continues.

I've been moving to a new house! All of our stuff is finally moved in, and now we are in the unpacking phase. CB and I will be expecting our families to be flocking to our new house in waves over what remains of August, so I will continue to be distracted. But expect a flood of artwork in September! Everything should be much calmer and put in its place by then. :3

Anthrocon is rapidly approaching, and in the middle of it all  cheesebeagle and I will be moving to our first new home together on July 17th. Our tiny apartment is currently full of box skyscrapers and I am halting all commission work until we are settled in our new home. We still have TONS of stuff to pack up and I would like to keep my focus on doing that. I might be ready to open art commissions again in early August if all of our boxes are put away by then.

This closure also includes the halting of all fursuit-related work we've been doing for friends. As soon as we have floorspace and time to dedicate to fursuit-making, we will let you know.

I know that my gallery has been lacking in new art lately and I've only been able to get commissions finished up. I had been drawing personal art here and there up to this point, so i might find the time to upload a few things before the move, I'll see what time allows for.

We will be attending Anthrocon from July 9-13th, then run home and finish packing for the final three days before the move. Crazy times ahead!

A: Nah. I tried AA once at AC, it wasn't really worth the time or effort of attempting to set up shop because I sold one tiny collar badge the entire day. Since then, I've discarded the lofty dream of having an art career at cons. People tend to not want art from you if they don't know who you are.

Q: Do you plan to volunteer?
A: No, but we have been known to do things to help friends who are on staff at random cons. In the past we've done things such as Bucket Brigade, assisting in panels, or entertaining a crowd of bored people in a registration line. Usually in fursuit.

Q: What's your goal for the con this year?
A: Have fun, explore where the events are held, and meet old and new friends. :)

Dudes, WOW.

Went to MAGfest at the National Harbor (20 min drive for us) just for the day and visited the dealer room and arcade game area, it was all so overwhelming because there were so many cute things to buy and TONS of arcades to play. It was my first time there and we saw around 6 fursuiters there throughout the day two of them being  ramble playing a snowboard game, a white cat suit, a red fox suit, a purple-striped black critter, and we had a chance to chat with  rexxiecat for a bit. So much fun! I would definitely go there next year! :D

They have everything imaginable for sale. I bought an 8bit iron-bead piranha plant in a clay pot, Mordecai bluejay and red panda zipper pull, and "'Teenage Mutant Ninja Squirtle" tshirt from the www.sharkrobot.com con booth. XD
I also wanted a few shirts from http://www.teeturtle.com/collections/top-sellers but they didn't have my size at the end of the night. They have so much more of a variety online anyway.

I highly recommend coming to this, guys! We didn't even get to experience the ENTIRE CON in ONE day. There was a huge room full of playable console games available that we didn't even reach, and all the con panels that were going on.
