I feel like the Minecraft avatars went over well :D Thanks to everyone who commissioned me!
I'll be moving most of them to the Scraps area because all of them are overwhelming my gallery LOL
FURSUITS/CONVENTIONS
In March, I'll be going to Fur The 'More with the Tig suit. I'll also be attending AC. For both conventions, we will be doing our Fursuit Performance panel. Hope to see you all at one of those! :D
Also, for AC, we will have TONS of time to romp through the hallways. This will be the first year since 2006 that I won't be in the Masquerade, which would take up most of our time at AC and made the convention extremely hectic for us. Now we can slow down and enjoy the con, visit friends, and fursuit at leisure. :D
Minecraft Avatar Commissions for $5
Posted 12 years ago$5 USD Minecraft Commissions!
Hey guys! As you've probably noticed, I've been crazy over Minecraft lately. Part of that was the fun of creating my own avatars as well as avatars for everyone I know. Now i'm going to branch out and take commissions for these!
I have the ability to make ears, sunglasses, and other objects stand above the square shape of the head. The metal helmets do not effect these objects and will show up properly. They will look like these:

My main account will be DA, and I will be submitting more art to Weasyl soon. Watch me on either one.
I'm glad that i'll get more use out of Weasyl even if its under these unfortunate circumstances.

PumpkaBOO!
Posted 12 years agoPKMN X
I have a male ExtraLarge Pumpkaboo, but I want a female. This has been the only XL one I've found while wandering the autumn leaf-covered route. The tell-tale sign that you've found an XL Pumpkaboo is that their voice is lower than other Pumpkaboo and sounds similar to a marble being dropped into the bottom of a hollow pumpkin. Their health/attack stats are crazy high, but their speed is low.
I refuse to move on to the snow-covered town/routes in PKMN until Halloween is over! Snow means Christmas to me, so I'm not budging until tomorrow when the Christmas music starts on local radio stations. That's right, radio stations have skipped over Thanksgiving because they can't play Arlo Guthrie's "Alice's Restaurant" for 24 hours a day for 28 days. XD

Inspirational Words to Struggling Artists
Posted 12 years agoAgnes De Mille had recalled an anecdote from a world-famous dancer/choreographer named Martha Graham. She tells her story:
The greatest thing Martha Graham ever said to me was in 1943 after the opening of 'Oklahoma!', when I suddenly had unexpected, flamboyant success for a work I thought was only fairly good, after years of neglect for work I thought was fine. I was bewildered and worried that my entire scale of values was untrustworthy. I talked to Martha. I remember the conversation well. It was in a Schrafft's restaurant over a soda.
I confessed that I had a burning desire to be excellent, but no faith that I could be. Martha said to me, very quietly: "There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep yourself open and aware to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. ... No artist is pleased. [There is] no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer divine dissatisfaction, a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others."

What: "Fursuit Character Building and Performance" panel!
Where: Room 317/318 (aka. the Presentation Room) in the Convention center. Get off the elevator on the second level (Spirit of Pittsburgh Ballroom level), head down the hallway, pass the escalators and huge glass window and we will be on the right. Our room is right next to the Puppetorium. Yep, our room seems to double in size every year! XD
When: Friday from 3-4pm
Why: Because it's fun! We will be teaching you the basics of fursuit performance and will show you how to hone those skills through a few improv games from Whose Line. There is a lot of audience participation to keep everyone engaged! Think of it as a bunch of games with a few performance notes along the way. :) You can show up in or out of fursuit, but we prefer you to be in fursuit of course. Photos and video is encouraged! You'll get photos of fursuiters in strange poses and holding odd objects, it should be a hoot!

Love it! XD
My favorites were the Professor, Paul Lynde, Yakko, Wakko, Rob's Chris Walken , Rodney Dangerfield, Porky Pig, Vincent Price, and Inspector Gadget. lol! Especially the parts when two voice actors seemed to have a moment where they got into a quick back-n-forth about an odd subject. lol
Egh, but that Paul Lynde! I laughed so hard!

UGH! Art Issue
Posted 12 years agoI just uploaded this: http://willows-storm.deviantart.com.....storm&qo=0 (Go there and download the image to see the true image)
It looks like crap. The image differs SO MUCH from what I'm seeing in the art program. I'm using Autodesk Sketchbook and I've tried saving two versions (a PNG and a JPG), and both turn out looking awful. As you can see, there's large masses of gray that have sprung up from nowhere, the bamboo look pixelly, the colors are reduced on the bamboo as if it were a GIF, yet the character looks fine.
The background is supposed to be completely black with green bamboo airbrushed lightly into the background, and the smoke around the character is very fine with lots of texture and is backed by black. Instead, the smoke seems to have large gobs of gray that looks as though I took an textureless airbrush and went crazy with it. The character also looks a little grayed out when shes not supposed to be. The water in the foreground looks grayed out too, it used to be so clear and blue.
The problem seems to be with the files. The original file was saved in PSD, but I can't post a PSD online, so I have to save a copy as a JPG or PNG. For whatever reason, the background looks exactly like a GIF when saved as a PNG or JPG, and all this extra stuff turns up. I've turned up the brightness on my screen and tilted my screen around, but I don't see gray blobs at all when viewing it in my art program. The art program doesn't allow me to have a quality option when saving a PNG, but it does let me adjust the quality on a JPG, and when I put it on the highest quality, it looked the same.
Can someone help me understand what is happening?
I feel like you won't see the art the way I see it unless I clear up this issue right now.

Poll: Separating Accounts
Posted 12 years agoHey Hey, everyone :) I'm trying to make a decision and I need your help.
Poll question: Should I create two separate accounts for my two tribute bands, The Fab Gears (Beatles tribute) and The Prairees (Monkees tribute)?
If I do, I would try to do more artwork, comics, t-shirts, bookmarks, and other goodies.
Would anyone be interested in seeing more of them?
Do you like one band more than the other?

Here I Am! Rockin' Like A Hurricane!
Posted 13 years agoFalls Church-- We're bracing ourselves for high winds and power outages. Thankfully, its not 90 degrees like it was this summer when we had a power outage for five days. We have put some of our food in a cooler on the balcony (its 49 degrees). Power outages are surrounding us now, it's only a matter of time until we get hit too. To the west, we have a blizzard that is struggling to reach us, to the east we have a hurricane, and in between is where we are. O_O It's gonna be crazy. The news says that we will get the worst of it at 7pm tonight.
Hope all of our friends are safe tonight, and I hope those of you who are in the way of the hurricane have evacuated and found shelter at a relative or friends home. This one is gonna be terrible.
