FurTheMore sent a casting call out to local fursuiters, and since we lived so close to the hotel we signed up! The theme was crytpology, with quick glances of normal species and full-body shots of mythical species like unicorns and cruxes.

There was a lot of unused footage, but i'm pretty happy with what was kept. Though, there was a funny shot of me waiting at the elevator and when i turn my back to the elevator, the doors open, and they grab my shoulders to pull me inside. LOL

It was SO fun to romp through the halls at the Sheraton, chillax at the pool, and frolic in the snowy courtyard. Guys, it is a good hotel and easy to navigate through because the hotel rooms are set in a cylindrical donut shape with a grassy lawn at its center, and a hallway that leads directly to the lobby. The double bedrooms are decent and the bathrooms are fancy. Overall, very nice!

Why: Because it's fun! We will be teaching you the basics of fursuit performance and will show you how to hone those skills through a few improv games from Whose Line. There is a lot of audience participation to keep everyone engaged! Think of it as a bunch of games with a few performance notes along the way. :) You can show up in or out of fursuit, but we prefer you to be in fursuit of course. Photos and video is encouraged! You'll get photos of fursuiters in strange poses and holding odd objects, it should be a hoot!

I've updated the Profile area so that it looks spiffy and added a few things.

I was cruising through my new groups when I noticed that something really great happened! I am listed as "Artists of the Month" on  fursuitchannel! I don't believe they notified me of this, but I am truly honored. :3

Also,  fursuiters have listed me as a "fursuit maker" which is really fab of them, since I do make suits for myself, but I hope that it doesn't confuse people that are looking to get a suit commissioned. Today I put a note at the top of my profile to tell everyone that I do NOT take commissions for fursuits.

Thanks everyone for watching my fursuit stuff, I really appreciate it! Let's hope that 2013 will be a very fab year!

I know that I haven't updated my gallery in a really long time and I will tell you why. Since I'm a fursuiter, other people take photos of my suits and post them on their FA galleries. If I can help it, I try to fav the photos of my suits in their galleries instead of reposting them in my gallery.

I came back from another awesome AnthroCon on Monday, and on Monday night, I had a sore throat. I went to the doctors on wednesday and apparently I picked up an extra souvenir from the con. I have Bronchitis. The past few days have been rough, hopefully these meds will work soon. Sorry about the fact that there wasn't a Tig's Stream Tuesday this week, I wasn't feeling up to it and laid on the couch like a sneezy, coughy slug watching episodes of The Dick Van Dyke show and Father Knows Best. :P
I hope to do a stream next Tuesday (June 26th), we'll see if my symptoms are more manageable by then.

Soooo.. happy memories from AC! I got to hang out with a lot of our TF buddies, we believe that we had a successful Fursuit Performance panel, and I had tons of fun in fursuit for every con event. I was in my fursona fursuit, Tig, this year, and it was the first time I wore it with full leg-padding and new back patterns. She will have more patterns than this after the con, I could only sew in this many before we left for AC.

THIS YEAR, WHAT WILL I DO AT ANTHROCON?

1. Friday at 3pm in the Somerset room of the Westin Hotel, cheesebeagle and I will be hosting our 2ed annual "Fursuit Character Building and Performance" panel! We will be teaching you how to find a personality for your fursuit and how to perform as that character. The panel includes audience participation and fun improv games that teach you how to think fast when performing in fursuit. You are encouraged to bring your fursuit to this event if you have one, though it isn't necessary. Taking photos and videos are encouraged, all of us are hams! XD

2. Friday at 8pm or 9pm, the Transformation Art Jam will begin in The Zoo at the Westin. Join all of us TF fans, share your favorite TF art and stories, and if you are an artist, you can contribute

3. Saturday at 1pm I'll be in the Fursuit Parade.

4. Saturday at 9pm, Cheesebeagle, Furio, Sharky, and I will be in a Masquerade skit that fits the theme for AC.

5. Sunday 1pm Fursuit Team Games sign-up, and 2:30pm the games begin.

Sure! If you would like to meet up, our time is usually stretched thin at AC, but you will have the easiest time finding me at one of these events. Please don't be a creep that's just cruising for a date, I'm engaged and totally not interested. However if you are interested in hanging out and drawing or fursuiting, I'm interested.

We are looking for friends to have rushed lunches and dinners with between events and panels. If you are interested, you know how to contact us. :)

Sooo.... Who is going to AC this year?

HELLO! I'm still here! I haven't updated for months, but with good reason! I've been working hard (and at times, hardly working) on prepping my fursuit for AC. Yes, I'm still working on the same fursuit since last year. :P Here's the list of things to do with finishing her..

1. Body patterns.. Stripes, spots, and a nifty back pattern that was designed by  manda-panda and  cheesebeagle for a "Design my Back" contest.
2. Install padding into the thighs of her legs to complete the digitigrade look.
3. Add blue 3" fur to her elbows and hocks.
4. Tig has fluffy feet and arms. To complete a "fluffy-footed horse" appearance, extend the 3" white fur up her shanks more, to give it a bell shape. Example: http://images.search.yahoo.com/sear.....a=gypsy+vanner
5. Create a fursuit-sized peace sign necklace, using a long strip of sewn cloth and an oversized plastic novelty peace sign.

Okay, the 2012 schedule hasn't been posted yet, so i'll just have to assume it will be on the same days and times as last year. The only date that is set in stone is #1. So here's a quick list..

After the Masquerade, we will wash up and then run down to the Zoo (in hotel) for the annual Transformation Art Jam party run by  comus! If you really love transformation, you can join us. Don't forget to bring your art binders, drawing pads and artsy supplies!

4. Sunday afternoon, I'll be in line for the Fursuit Parade, along with everyone else. Wheee! (Don't collapse in the hallways... just keep marchin' on.. lol)

If you would like to meet up, our time is usually stretched thin at AC, but you will have the easiest time finding me at one of these events. Our typical day goes like this, "wake up, get in fursuit, attend event(s), get out of suit, shower, find quickest lunch possible, run to our room to suit up again, attend event(s), get out of suit again, shower again, find dinner, possibly suit up again, attend another event, get out of suit, shower, collapse in bed for the night, wake up, repeat." The only day that isn't this way is on Thursday and Friday, before the chaos of the Fursuiting events start. lol This isn't to say that we could never meet up, I'm only saying that your chances to hang out are greater if you own a fursuit yourself and join various romps. lol

So, who is coming this year?

If you aren't aware, The Lion King is back in theaters for two weeks, this time in 3D! I believe the end-date is Sept 30th, and it spans most theaters in the USA. I've heard that there is a 2D version that was released back into theaters as well, but I can only find the 3D one at the moment.

Sooooooo, I was 10 years old when TLK first came out in theaters. 17 years later, I'm running back to the theater to see it again. Generally, I hate the idea of 3D and it really hurts my eyes after 2-3 hours of watching Avatar through 3D sunglasses, but I can't turn down the opportunity to relive my youth. TLK was a big part of my childhood, I owe half of my furriness to it (the other half to Animaniacs).

I guess you could say my friend and I were more than average fans of the film. As a kid, I remember one night we popped in our Lion King VHS tape, cranked up the volume to full Earth-shaking capacity (surround sound), and acted out the entire movie with my best friend out on our front lawn for the entire neighborhood to see (or ignore). It was pretty epic! We also did less-epic "shows" with our plushies which acted to a TLK soundtrack cassette. Divided between two people, she handled most of the stuff involving Scar, Nala, Mufasa and Pumbaa; I handled Simba, the hyenas, Zazu, and Timon. That pretty much covered everybody. It was hilariously fun and energizing to do, and I have carried a portion of that acting skill with me ever since, often pouring it into my fursuit performances.

Like any fan, I had TLK stuff. I collected many of the plastic-headed Mattel plushies, the roaring adult Simba puppet, BK finger-puppets-in-a-box, Simba and Nala kissing cubs, coloring books, and the push-button action figures. At the time, my drawing skills were still developing from the "stick figure-to-linework" phase and I had taken it upon myself to draw linework of every character on orange construction paper, cut them out, and cover my bedroom wall with them. It looked kinda wonky, but Disney didn't make wall decals of such things back then, so I had to get creative.

Anyway, since then, I've moved to VA, away from my best friend. It'll be weird seeing the Lion King without her, since the film summed up most of our childhood.

The way you move and interact in your fursuit conveys the personality of the character you are trying to create. Our panel will teach you basic performance skills to help bring your fursuit to life. Coming to the panel in fursuit is encouraged, but not required. We also encourage full participation, practicing acting techniques and playing with props. :D

I want to highlight an artist who creates ready-made parts that are hard to find in the fursuit-making community. I've just bought a custom set of Feral Feline paw pads from Dream Visions'  flurrycat and they are gorgeous!

Hello everyone!

The other day, I was looking at the disheveled retired fursuit of my fursona, Tig, and thought it was a shame that I couldn't be my fursona when wandering around the halls and corridors of conventions. After all, she was the first suit I had ever built, and at the time, I was naive about how to build one and used only the crappiest of materials. It was time to retire her, she was falling apart altogether and I've progressed as a fursuit maker since then.

Now, the melancholy eyes on that enormous head of hers, stare down at me from a shelf above my computer area, wanting to be alive again for one last time. So, I did her a favor and took her out of retirement for the hell of it during a Cheesebeagle Live show, despite the bare patches in the fur, dirt-scuffed white areas, duct tape-patched pants, lack of leg padding, and food stains on her feet. In all honesty, it was the most fun I've had in awhile. I just missed being my fursona!

That was when I knew that I HAD to remake my Tig fursuit, this time as a full suit and with good-quality materials. IT CAN BE DONE! WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY! WE CAN REBUILD HER! XD

I have been gathering advice from the best fursuit place on the net, the Fursuit LiveJournal! ( http://community.livejournal.com/fursuit/ ) They put redlines on my pix and showed me how to do happy cheeks and proper head shaping on toony heads. They are seriously the best people to gather info from, and if I ever need to know what people use for whiskers or where to purchase eyes, the Memories area and Profile page are a wealth of knowledge.

I will keep all of you updated on my progress! Her head is half-way done. I'll be sure to post photos soon.

We'll be there. I'm bringing my fursuit, MoonDog, and Provo is bringing his beagley self. :)

OH! You may have noticed that we didn't do an October "Cheesebeagle Live" show. We were really busy preparing for FurFright, so we have rescheduled the next show for November! We'll let you know which weekend as it gets closer. We plan to have the November show at a new location, at the comfortable and spacious apartment of Furio (Royce the Walrus)!

Hey! I'm still around. Been distracted with a lot of stuff lately. Mostly work. I'll be submitting some things that I've had laying around for awhile. Things had slowed down since our scanner broke.

Mark it on your calenders! SEPTEMBER 25th, we'll be throwing a bash here for yet another fab episode of the "Cheesebeagle Live" show, featuring many marvy guests.
