So, after I made the "mean look" icons after wanting one for a while when I first saw the Haunter gif floating around, someone saw my icons and made one of their own. Which is perfectly fine because I don't own the original idea. I was merely annoyed that they looked similar to mine (not copied line for line, but jeez).

All I said was that they looked similar. I did NOT accuse anyone of art theft. I also did NOT send my "fan base" over to this guy's account to attack him. They all did that on their own. The entire time this was happening, I had people over for my birthday for the weekend. Today, I checked my messages briefly (still have people over until the 31st) and came back to people attacking me for what others are doing.

So just stop. Know your facts before you freak out.

I unfortunately need to sell this painting even though it was just last month that I won it at auction. I'm moving to Savannah in February and need to save up for the move down there.

The painting is on a black matte board (doesn't look like it was professionally cut) which is what it was mounted on for the Art Show at this past Anthrocon.

Sorry to those that have been eyeing my page like hawks ;~; I feel like I've let you down..

I've been working as fast as I can today to get a lot of current commissions out of the way and I did get a good chunk done, as you can see from how much I've uploaded today.

I won't be opening for the unfs tonight.

I have also been rethinking my "never doing them again" decision...

The reason I was going to stop was because anytime I opened for them in bunches, it was taxing on me. I felt burdened by such a long list. And the reason I opened for 48 at a time was to fill my collage. I'm no longer going to open in huge bunches like that. I will only be opening for them in small quantities from now on.

So, will I close forever once I hit 1,000? Probably not. So you can breathe easy.

But...I will be raising my price for them by a dollar or two. I know this may upset a few of you, but I feel I need to do it.

Yep. Opening for 35 tonight. 35.

Keep watch for a journal to follow this one later.

I have decided that once I hit the 1,000th unf icon...

I will no longer be making them. It's been fun, but... Well, I made close to 1,000. That's a lot.

Maybe if, in a year or so, I get the urge to make a few more then I will. But after the 1,000th icon is made. That's it. No more.

I have 35 more until I hit the 900th icon. Once 900 is reached I will open for 90 spots all at once which is when you all should rush in and get your unf for cheap because the LAST TEN SPOTS will be journal auctioned and who knows how crazy people might get over this >~>

I'm pretty serious about quitting once I hit 1,000 which is why the last ten will be auctioned.

This journal entry isn't for openings so don't ask if you can get one. This journal is a heads up on what will be happening.

So..

Back in 2008 I went to SCAD for one term and left because I had zero self-confidence in my art. I felt intimidated by all the amazing artists in my classes and decided to drop out.

I regretted that decision the day I moved back to New England the summer after that term.

I recently re-applied to see if I could get back in and submitted a newer portfolio. Waited forever for all of the necessary documents to get to the school so they could review my application and file. Finally after waiting months I received a large envelope in the mail.

I was re-accepted ALONG with a small scholarship! That little bonus was a very neat surprise for me.

I'll be moving down to Savannah, GA around January/February and attending the spring term in March.

I'm pretty excited.
