when i was new to the furry fandom around 2006, i actually started out on deviantart. just a goofy little kid that needed some hobby and past time. my new fur friends from DA got me into FA and it opened a whole world of possibilities. i've met new friends, improved my art, experienced and discovered so much about myself. i love this fandom and the people that surround us. there has been ups and downs, the experiences of heartbreak, frustration, and loss. but also friendships, new-found knowledge, and opportunities.

i think i'm gonna start using FA more. there's quite a lot to catch up on. i'm so used to the fast pace of social media, it's sickening. let's start by slowing down and appreciate what's around us. FA isn't trying to be a social media. it's an art gallery. it's not a place to go fast, to be trendy, to be eye-catching. it's a place to sit down and look at the art. digest it. let your feelings flow. i have renewed hopes for this place. we should rally up for support to this place.

i have ideas to modernize this place but maybe for another time.

it's been a while, actually. a year and two days since my last journal. i hope everyone is taking care of themselves and letting your friends and family know you love them.

over FIFTY notifications of a favorite being removed by the user. who the heck are you and why was that even??

if y'all are ever in the twitterverse, you may have seen me posting that my main account (along with others) got suspended for "evading suspension" aka having alt accounts, aka a feature they made to be able to move across different accounts. i honestly don't know what else to do. there was no prior warning and i have not ever been given a statement as to why my account was suspended, unlike others who have.

i'd like to weigh in my options on alternate websites. twitter seems to keep shitting itself, shooting themselves in the foot in quick succession and pointing the weapon at their userbase, paying and otherwise. so i'll be making a separate journal to where else you can find me. FA would still be somewhat active but i was hoping this site would bring its design language to 2023 and not be stuck in 2010.

at this point, if there's no hope for that platform, time to abandon ship.


UPDATE:

I'M OUT OF TWITTER JAIL lol still no email, no nothing. but i'm glad my account was reinstated!

i got sick wednesday and went to a full day of work without realizing it until i got home and was asked to do an at-home test around midnight. 5 days on i'm still sick with a cough. the first 3 days was pretty bad, in addition to cough, i had fever, headache and chills. my mind was racing while i was trying to rest and sleep, it was like my body was telling me i couldn't sleep because i needed to fix something that was way beyond my control. i got tired of sleeping at some point but staying up also got me very tired. regardless, it did not help with the massive headache it gave me. at that point i didn't understand what my body was trying to say. only yesterday i finally got back into my bearings and started to eat normally and on schedule. took some breaks and naps when i was not on the computer.

don't worry, i got the vaccine and the one booster. it's funny coz i was supposed to get the second booster that thursday. hoping it blows off soon. it's not a fun experience but my symptoms are fairly mild, like a really stubborn flu.

everyone please take care of yourselves! covid isn't in the radar of most people now but it's still out there. i have no idea where i caught it but it's very much still contagious.

4 years since my last journal and i've been active on twitter more since then. as you guys probably know, twitter *might* go down? who knows at this point or else this journal will age like fine milk. plus a site that huge would come back right up.

with that said, i might just dust my FA profile again and try to be active with art on here again! no promises but i'll try my best. there's been a lot of good art and improvement the past 4 years!

hey guys! i cannot stress this enough. i really need your help right now. i'm reaching really bad levels right now and i'm trying to keep down my finances as much as possible. and i've been trying to reach out to everyone about this but there hasn't been any success. unfortunately i've been denied a loan and i can't do anything about it. work isn't doing me any better keeping my hours all the way down because my manager likes to emotionally distress me.

i had my electric bike recently stolen and that really hampered my funds. not only i had to get a new one (my insurance didn't cover theft), i still need to pay back the remaining balance of the one that got stolen.

Hi everyone! I hope y'all are well and I apologize for not giving as much updates, real life gets pretty real really quick.

Just last week, my electric bike decided to die on me and without this mode of transport, it gets fairly difficult getting around town, and up a 400-foot hill, no less. So I had ordered a new e-bike as it is and should be arriving soon (in installments) and this time I have warranty for it. With the purchase, unfortunately, my bills have been slowly creeping up than I can manage it. I'm selling things I don't need as we speak to keep costs down (including my old bike for scraps) and alleviate the growing debt that I have. As for my current job, aside from draining the life out of me, has started cutting hours for all associates. I'm still looking for another job and finding one isn't as easy even with my current skill set. This hampers down on my income and I need to have other means of it. School registration is approaching fast and I need to enroll for Fall classes.

I do humbly ask everyone's support, I can't give as much back but I would greatly appreciate your time and effort to send word out that I'm open for commissions. Tell your friends about it and see how they like my style! I'm all open for commissions and eager to start.
