Wow! What an amazing weekend. This was one of the great conventions I've experienced. I went to great parties and met so many great new friends and even reconnected with some old ones.
I want to shout out to  Redski for being such a cool roommate. I had a great evening with  Damaron,  Austin and  Donutdobie. I also finally got to hang out with  Teh. I had a really nice time with  KaminWolf and I also finally got to meet  Smash.

Whether circumstances were social, erotic, or a little bit of both, I met a lot of great people and had a an absolute blast. Midwest Furfest was...sexcellent!

Something happened yesterday that made me a little sad. Something I've seen before. A long time ago, when I was maybe fourteen years old, I was in Vermont on vacation with my family. We were driving along, when we spotted a woman in a minivan broken down in the middle of a busy street. My father, my brother and I immediately got out of the car and went to help her. While she steered, we pushed her car and we were able to get her car out of the way until a tow truck arrived. What bothered me about this whole incident was as we were helping this poor woman, all of these drivers were going by yelling and cursing her out. "Get your f___ing car out of road!" At one point about a dozen cars in a row drove by shouting stuff like that. I couldn't help but think, "Are we really the only ones who are willing to help this poor woman? She didn't do this on purpose. Her car broke down on her." Humanity made me sad that day.
Well, last night I was in the car with Galen and our roommate Icy. We were on our way to the gym when we saw a guy broken down in the middle of a big intersection. The three of us got out to help, but also, just like I remembered from before, all the other cars were just driving by, cursing him out. He was very grateful to us for our help, but once again, I was disappointed with humanity. I ask of everyone that reads this. If you see something like this on the road, don't get angry and don't curse out the driver. Hop out and help. Or, in the very least, if you are in a terrible rush and the traffic has put you behind schedule, just drive on by and don't make an already stressful situation worse.

I start on Monday. Not only do I finally have a job, but I had to pick between two opportunities. I moved here in October and have been applying to jobs ever since, with very little action. The closest I had come were a couple of jobs that I really wasn't interested in, which might have affected my performance during the interviews. It's a new year though and a lot of places are re-staffing. This will hopefully be the start of a rewarding career. Next step, Grad School!

For the first time in years, I'm looking forward to the Holidays. I still don't have a job and I'm not even close to where I want to be in my life, but I've been with my mate for a little over a year now, This is going to be our first Christmas together. Last year, we were in a commited relationship, but he still lived here in Virginia and I lived in Massachusetts. I was able to visit him during the first week of December last year, during which I made sure to leave a wrapped present hidden in his place. We were instant messaging each other on Christmas day, and wanted nothing more than to be together. I then told him to go look under his sofa. It brightened up his holiday and mine. This year, I'm looking forward to exchanging gifts, then just lounging around his place, watching silly movies, drinking hard eggnog lattes and pigging out on...uh...I better discuss with Galen what to do for dinner. I wonder what Galen's roommate, Rannan, is doing during the holidays. I hope he's going to be around. He's good company. Anyway, Happy Holidays to all my furry friends out there. Feel free to Skype me to spread a little holiday cheer, even if you don't know me and just want to chat. *hugs*

Any toy that remotely involves feces is just gross. I don't normally use my FA journal to make silly, cynical rants, but I couldn't help myself in this case.
