Got my absolute OMFG dream job. I am now a mechanic working at Ford. Somthing I've wanted to do for nearly 20 years and have actively tried annd been shot down every time because nobody hires a mechanic without tools. then came this place.

Theres a catch... I am working for $10hr no OT until I get my own tools. the flip side to that is with bills and rent... I cant afford to buy tools... not even sure if I can finance them...

Watched a video from Markiplier where he showed his reaction to his fans. It made me remember what I set out to do with my character Toast. Kinda killed me actually, hence why I am writing this post.

Long ago, when 2 sense was running, I decided to create a rabbit that was indignant to his accepted place. A meek, defensless kicking post to society who raised his middle finger and said "THIS WILL NOT BE ME!" many of us have felt like this in our lives and I want to personify this in a way that appealed to both the people who felt stuck or forgotten, and those who perpetuated the stereotype. I needed those people and you have always played it well.

I had a fan write me an email that just destroyed me. They said (paraphrased) "thank you. Your character shows me that even if life says I should be something, it doesnt mean I should be. It helped me through school. I realized that while teachers and students kicked me around, this is not who I was and I deserved more. it was what they were." I cried for over an hour.

I want to thank everyone. You've made my time in the fandom wonderful. I look forward to many more years of entertainment. Also, deer suck.

For those of you who are unaware, IMVU is basically a web based version of Second Life. It is filled with morons who latch onto anything that is different.

Over the next few months, expect a ton of "New Furs" coming in who know nothing about the fandom from this cut rate chat client. Expect comments on your art to contain more trolling. Expect script kiddies who are going to basically make life miserable here. That is basically what happens on IMVU.

While I can imagine why Neer decided to do this, lets face it... His job sucked and not many people made it easier for him, we kind of brought this on ourselves.

I am not worried. I am willing to bet at this very moment, some furries are tapping away at code to create a new furry art archive.

To those willing to venture, can I make a small request? Revive the Yerf Art site. Squeaky clean art that has to meet a certain standard to be posted for the public to view. I know about the drama, but it did push budding artist to push their limits just for the honor of being accepted into the archives. And it was a SFW place to show our family and co-workers what furry art was like.

I for one am not looking forward to the caliber of "new furs" this buyout is going to generate. I feel the idea of a carefully designed character with a finely crafted back story is LONG GONE. and its just going to get worse. I'm sorry if I dont call your generic blue and black fox that just exists "creative" but keep in mind, I come from an era where you created a character with a back story and a particular personality and it grew with time and interaction. being out of character was very rare, and an RP lasted months or years, not the 7 minutes it takes to typefuck.

I'm not really very active on FA, so I am not going to really notice. I am curious to see how the void will be filled however.

Relearning my snow driving in a Mustang with an open diff, Bald tires and no weight in the back. Living on top of a hill that is... a challenge. Finally starting to reassemble studio. Have some show plans some funny, some informative IE my car review show that never got off the ground in California. just had no inspiration. Traffic there sucked.

Recently checked my FA and found that an old old friend tracked me down. Ive missed chatting with him. Hop-e he got my reply, his note was a month old o.o

To clear confusion, 2 and I have not moved to Colorado yet.

We are pretty much packed up, everything is in boxes. We have rented a nice moving truck with car carrier for the Mustang. 2 has done all of the packing while I was at work, even found a decent place in the northern area of CS.

I've learned a very valuable lesson at work. no matter how much you care for the company you work for... no matter how important you are... no matter how much you want to make the transition for your co-workers easy... NEVER give more than 2 weeks notice.

I've been subjected to a pretty miserable final 2 months. They removed me from most of my departments, placed me in technical support as a trainer. They also blindly spout "I know you've checked out mentally, but you are still working here, I expect your best" problem is, I am giving my best and exceeding performance expectations, my boss is just a moron who is running on auto-pilot.

Speaking of which, I have 2 solid job offers. One is pending a face to face and some field time (not a problem) the other is pending an offer as far as pay goes on his part and clarification of what he means by (management with option to purchase company) seems a bit too good to be true.

Not long now. My last day of work is the 13th, I pick up my check on the 16th. going to spend that time making sure all loose ends are tied up and getting prepped for the endurance run of 1k miles in a single shot. I've done 2400 miles in a single shot but I will NEVER repeat that experience again.

Should arrive on Friday if all goes well, possibly Saturday. will need time to get situated. Then... we explore!

Great fun ahead for me and 2.

Well, 2 months to go before we move out to Colorado Springs, CO. We have reserved a moving truck and a trailer for my Mustang. I am not going to tow it behind on a dolly, too many things can go wrong.

Spending the rest of my time trying to research temporary housing in the Springs... The idea is to move out into a tiny little studio apt for a few months, get situated and get a feel for the area then jump into an actual house of our own. What I am finding though, there are dirt cheap 4-500$ places but they are in areas we have been warned to avoid. Having left places like Detroit and Columbus behind me, I've found a certain peacefulness in not hearing gunshots at night.

Maybe I am being too picky, its only for a few months so I really should not care very much. I kinda do though. Meh, California has had a larger affect on me than I'd care for. The fear of having my car broken into, stolen, keyed, breathed on wrong... is pretty high. :P

Ahh well... If everything goes as planned, 6 months from now... We will be settled in a nice cozy home in northern Colorado Springs, looking back on this stress with a happy sigh.

I really cant wait to move. Colorado looks so beautiful, I hear theres potential for storm chasing as well. :)

Motley Crue is doing a farewell tour at the end of which the Motley Crue name will be retired (by contract) never to be used again for touring purposes.

This is a story I wanted to repost here on FA. I made this post on Myspace back in 2009 (maybe 2008) regarding the loss of my former husband Pouchhopper.

California ban on gay marriage and what it means to me

The decision to uphold gay marriage has hit me hard. This comes near the anniversary of the passing of Pouchhopper and for me it strikes a personal note.

As many of you know throughout my short time with pouch I fought hard for him. I pushed hard to find a lawyer who would handle his case, I fought with everyone that I could to make sure that he got to see a doctor every day of my life with him I spent fighting and every day I heard the term "Immediate family or spouse only" and it hurt me. I had to accept it because it was a gay relationship and we were subhuman in the eyes of humanity but I did not care.

When pouch died I was left with nothing but memories. Some of you do not know how he died. He was misdiagnosed by a doctor. And it wasn’t something complex it was diabetes... fucking diabetes... They told him he was diabetic... then pulled the diagnosis back stating that it must have been a mistake. He died shortly after of a diabetic coma.

My world and his life was undone because a) a doctor made a wrong choice and b) I could not access his medical information or question ANY of the diagnosis (I tried) because we were not legally married.

I tried talking to a lawyer, I wanted this doctor to have his license stripped, and how could someone be that careless. I was told by several attorneys that because my relationship with him was not legally binding, there was nothing I could do. Even in the case of a civil union only the family members had the ability to bring a lawsuit against the doctor.

I made a promise to that roo that his ashes would not end up in California if he ever died and again I could not keep this promise. The decisions were made for me by bullshit politics and laws which no one truly understands the meaning of.

Yesterday, the same thing happened. People who do not understand what the meaning of love, marriage and commitment decided that because I am sub-human I do not deserve the rights afforded to "normal" couples because a fictional book written by someone with too much time on his hands said so thousands of years ago.

This isn’t about benefits or a title for me, it’s about rights. It’s about someone else telling me that because I was born a certain way I can’t do the same things everyone else on this planet takes for granted. Its discrimination and I have suffered because of it. The pain that I hold because of this bickering and bullshit is going to stay with me for the rest of my life. I have pain in my heart because a book says that I should be ashamed for who I am. I should be out repenting for this to every religion on the planet because I was born different.

For some this is about getting the same privileges that others enjoy, being married is a special thing. But for me it’s a chance to close a chapter in my life that is filled with so much hurt it’s indescribable. It’s a chance to save someone from experiencing the same pain that I have felt. For me this is personal.

I just... I can’t even describe how I feel.

I am ashamed to be a human at this point. How we can treat each other in this manner is beyond me. I watch humanity as it strolls through life shitting on everything around it and I wonder why. How can we look at the planet and thrash it, how can we look at each other and discriminate, how can we torture animals for fun? Why do we do this?

I have a few theories but no answers.

What went wrong in our heads? We will do everything we can to hold ourselves above all others at the expense of everything around us. There are people out there who would slit their children’s throats for 10 bucks and these are the same jerks who are telling me that I am immoral for loving another man.

I am sick of the excuses. Saying that the world is following fictional gods rules does not make it right or ok. It’s not going to take away the pain that I and others like me feel every day. This is wrong and only a handful of us are stepping up and saying that it’s wrong and if you look it’s usually the ones who have already felt the pain of discrimination.

If you have not had to deal with this, feel lucky. You cannot comprehend how simple words can ruin another person’s life. If I had been allowed to talk to pouch’s doctor and say "hey, don’t you think it’s a little strange for diabetes to just be there then not?" he might still be alive.

I am told that its just marriage and I've even tried to convince myself that it’s just some religious ceremony and I am better off without it. It’s not that simple for me anymore. The consequences of being different became very real a few years ago for me.

I am ashamed of my species. Every day we allow this to go on, we sit at our computers and think that fighting for the rights of human beings is a novel idea and hope that it goes well is another day that I hang my head in shame for what we are and what I am.

I'll open with a referenced blog entry from a Celebrity we all know. KEEP IN MIND IT IS AN OOOOOLD BLOG but it reflects a rather consistant flow out there of hypocrisy

Those of us who will cram thirteen of our friends into a hotel room for a weekend to geek out together have a place to go where not only will we not be laughed at for dressing up but encouraged to do it (except the furries; those weirdos are on their own.) We can invade a hotel for a weekend, pretend it's like the cereal convention in Sandman, and recover enough hit points to survive our real lives until the next one.

When asked if he was making a joke or if he was serious, his reply was... quite judgmental..

Furries give me the creeps, and I've had some random dude dressed up in a fucking fursuit try to hump my leg enough times to feel pretty comfortable saying that.

yeah... I am thinking the same thing. A bit contrived.

Now, I know that there are some members of the fandom that lack basic social skills now and then but generally, you dont see them often and a person such as this celebrity would be hard pressed to have repeated encounters.

What do I think? I think he met one over zealous fan, linked that encounter to all the media hype against furries and has suddenly branded furries as wierdos and pervs. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but some should show a bit more maturity and restraint when making such statements.

What really bothers me however, is this celebrity is so quick to judge furries. I am sure at his own conventions he has encountered various fans who have created equally awkward experiences... why furries are exempt from understanding is a bit hurtful. Almost hypocritical.

Celebrities fight a constant battle from tabloids. If they trip getting out of their car, suddenly they are on a drug bender, if they are seen with a friend, suddenly they are in a divorce battle with a misteress. If they say something off the cuff, suddenly they are a racist.. When they say "that is not the truth" they are hurt when the public does not believe them.. Sound kinda familiar?

Furries are not squeaky clean, we have some undesirable elements which go to great lengths to gain 15 minutes of fame, never once saying "Yeah, I am a perverted wierdo, but that is not the fandom... I am just effed up in the head and want to share my kinks/illness with the world. " rather than keeping things private that should be and keeping in mind who their audience is.

Its compacted by the fact that the media has no story on who we -really- are because its not interesting or shocking, so they will do everything they can to get sound clips they can splice together with some dark sinister music and publish the latest "the furry fetishist!" news story...

To this (and really all people) celebrity... I'm disappointed.. I'll remember this judgement the next time you are pleading with the public over some media contrived BS.

That is until we both realize that in the assembly process, we had created something that should be mercy killed ... We both agree to never speak of this again... Oh... please unread that..

Friday.. Dealers room insanity! Sooo many of my friends came to the table hoping to get some time to chill with a bunny... I tried soo hard to get out but there was so much work to get done, I was only able to slip out now and then for a smoke... and socialize.. Dear Ray ... I owe you drinks next year..

Friday night... 2's show... Everybody scatters in the main ball room. Finally got to hear 2's new show (I dont usually get to hear it until its being performed) All of the stories were unfortunately... damn near word for word true... yes... I laughed my ass off and cringed... realizing that was not the best collection of stories he has on me.

Mental note, Start writing material of my own... maybe rope 2 into a small domestic life story/panel show.. thing..

Saturday, sell out of the CD's in little under an hour... shot glasses were gone fast.. first hour and half I think.. Tons of you came to the table asking to hang out with me... I had solid plans to do so.. this did not pan out... look at my cigarette pack sometime after 5.. realize I had more than half a pack left from what I bought thurs. morning... look at my wallet... where is my room key?... damn

Saturday night... Fernando Gathering... its a blur... god it was fun. Witchie, you are the best, Bryant Fox You have no idea what it was I had you pour out... lets pray nobody finds out what it was and how much of it got wasted.. =D

Sunday.. Normal Day... 2 is perky.. more so than usual. I am in a great mood ... we tare down at 2pm.. 2:30-ish time to run off with boxes to ship them. get to fed-ex pay 10$ for parking ACROSS THE FUCKING ROAD... Fed-Ex is closed.. Parking attendant says "wow its never been like that before... duhhhhh" =) no worries.. All is taken care off. Bit of a rush but I managed to make it to the 2 and Kage story hour.. hmm.. where is the bird? it's not like him to be late....

The Proposal... Ok, I was enjoying myself at the show... when 2 called me up... I was not expecting it. I was happy to jump up and say hello to everyone.

Small side note... being on stage is suddenly not intimidating when your retinas are being cooked by the sun at a distance of 20 feet... If you are ever given the chance to hop on stage, please ask for the 30K watt flood lights and have them pointed directly at your eyes.. Problem solved..

You know when they say your life will flash before your eyes before you die? apparently your future can do this too..

If they really give a crap about the well-being of the children, I better see a proposal to ban divorce on the ballot... its 2012 and they have been using that argument since the start of the Prop 8 battle. in 2008...

They are using that point because its hard to prove otherwise... it also resonates with every parent in the world. It doesnt take much to make a parent blindly fight for a cause once they believe its justified by protecting the children.

I know there are many other problems with their argument ... that one just really annoys me.

It ruffles many of the furs out there when I speak my mind about the diffrence between a committed relationship and a "Poly" relationship.

Truth is, if you are "in love" with 5 diffrent people, its not a true relationship. You have 5 people that you care deeply about or you just like to have some form of variety when its time to boink.

Normally, I don't care... but a number of "Poly" groups are trying to jump on the gay rights bandwagon demanding federal recognition for all of thier mates ... and its NOT HELPING...

the term "Poly" went out in the mainstream world a long time ago. the new term is "friends with benefits" and that is all that it is. I've been mocked by some assholes in the poly community for not including more people in my relationship with 2, or even forcing my draconian ways onto him not allowing him to have tons of "mates" I've been called "unenlightened, pityiful for not having enough love in my heart for more than one" in some cases even barbaric..

Whatever goes on behind closed doors, groovy.. when it affects my future and my hope for civil equality under the eyes of the nation, I am going to come out swinging.

Reality check: you arent GIFTED with a big heart enough to love more than one person, you have no sense of commitment, you've never found that one person that consumes every moment of your thoughts day in and day out, you have never reached this level of love and dedication... both me and 2 can tell you without flinching that when you find THAT someone, there is NO POSSIBLE way to have anyone else but that person occupy that part of your life...

For those who are gunna get pissy, seriously the floor does not recognize you, go back into your cage.

I wont deny that on some level you have a close relationship, but there is no possible way you can convince me that you should be extended the right to marry 9 people and gain tax breaks, protection from discrimination etc... there is NO discrimination, you arent getting fired for having 9 people you are boinking, infact you probably get high fives at the water cooler...

I have taken the time to talk to people passionate about poly being the evolution of humanity and even people who were not wack jobs who think poly is just a life they prefer. I will never condone poly as being true love but I wont deny that there is love there.
