Another New Year, and another new schedule
General | Posted 12 years agoAnother year has come and gone, this one was pretty fun and didn't feel like it went too fast or too slow. Though the past four months was pretty busy! Now since MFF last month was my 10th convention, I've been doing a little reflection. Looking back at the past, and what's inspired me...some special things did happen this year.
One of the things that happened during FWA was I was able to run into two guys who really inspired me,
draco751 and
Fluke Now way back when I was discovering videos from the fandom, I found a video of Vincent dancing at FC. (Draco owned the suit, while Fluke was the one wearing and dancing it in.) That was one of the main videos that not only inspired me to suit, it also inspired me to dance and get a suit from Mixedcandy.
It was really great to finally meet both of them, and they were really happy to inspire me like that. It was definately one of the great feels from FWA for me.
Another fun thing that happened this year was at RF, where thanks to
I was able to suit as Pachinko. This was a lot of fun being a different character, and remember Yippee, a girl can never have too many dresses, or jewelry, or earrings, or...
Finally, a very nice thing that happened at MFF was being able to tell
how much of an inspiration he's been to me. Now way, way back when I discovered the fandom...I was only looking around at the art side of things. I really wasn't paying attention to cons, and I didn't think I'd be going to one.
One day, around 2007 I discovered a video from BBF. It was his AC 2007 video. This was the first time where I saw footage of a con, and it literally changed everything for me. I started watching all of his con videos, as well as looking at many videos on YT, which led me to finding that video of Vincent dancing at FC.
If I didn't come upon that video from BBF, I probably wouldn't have attended any con, let alone 10, and I probably wouldn't have a suit, nor would I have gotten all the wonderful friends and experiences I've gotten over the years. So thanks, BB. I really appreciate all the hard work you and your friends have done. :)
With all that's happened this year, what does next year bring? For me it brings another schedule, I know I'm gonna' be missing some cons, but I know I'll be able to hit up a couple. Speaking of which, one is going to come up very soon. I'm happy to say I'll be returning to FC!
Happy New Year, everybody!

MFF 2013 Report
General | Posted 12 years agoThe last of my cons for the year has come and gone, and MFF is constantly showing it's a great con to go out with a bang. This was my 10th convention, and there was a ton of good times to be had with all my friends.
While I can't list all the highlights since there was so many, I'll break things down to a couple highlights from each day.
Thursday - Travel Adventures, Powernap and Taste of Chicago
- Find $15 under a chair in a empty part of one of the terminals at SeaTac, and scored a little bag of M&M's from the nice lady running the shop. Hooray for free stuff!
- Durning my layover in Denver, I explored the airport and quickly discovered that if you take the tram to the main terminal, you cross the security barrier and have to go through security to get back into the airport. X3 Thankfully I had a lengthy layover and there was no line for security.
- Arrive in Midway airport on Thursday around midnight, and later arrived at the hotel at 2:13 am. Met up with friends and roommates, and end up taking a powernap right under one of the couches in the lobby. A very tight clearance, but it still worked. Didn't get a room till a little after 8 am.
- Time to sleep? NO, ain't got time to sleep with places I want to eat opening up! I took the train to the first place on my list, Hot Doug's. Hot Doug's is a hot dog joint (Also known as a Sausage Superstore and Encased Meats Emporium) which is known for hot dogs and various unique sausages. Doug himself runs the front of the house, and is a all around great guy. I told him my journey over there, and he gave me a gatorade on the house. Thanks Doug! I had a very nice Chicago Dog as well as the Game of the Week which was a smoked Venison sausage. Very good stuff.
- Later that day I went to Smoque BBQ, a place which I've heard many good things from locals. This was damn good BBQ, had a nice pulled pork sandwhich, St. Louis Ribs, beans (Which has their brisket inside) and slaw.
- In the evening,
was very nice enough to get several Gino's East deep dish pizzas for us. The pizza was good and a great way to end the night. It was certainly a great taste of Chicago that day.
Friday - Dance, Dancing and lots of hu..Dancing on the side
A lot of stuff happened on Friday, so I'll stick with what happened in the evening.
- Tried out for the dance comp, didn't make it but I had a lot of fun and didn't have a crippling breakdown afterwards. I got some great critique afterwards which I'll use to work better on for whatever my next con will be. Another plus was I discovered I could do some various knee drops which I've never done before, even crazier was I did these knee drops on a hard floor with no problem!
Unfortunately for some friends, they didn't fare as well and banged themselves pretty good. Hope you feel better soon! Finally, I also pulled off a freakin' Shablam which went over pretty well.
- Friday night's dance was a lot of fun,
put on a bangin' set that was great. Also, this dance was really memorable due to two particular individuals. You know who you are, and thank you. ;)
Saturday - The mood to suit strikes, and Welcome to MFF After Dark!
- In the morning I wasn't feeling in the mood to suit up for the parade, but ironically when it got near to the parade set up, the mood to suit hit me hard and I suited up for the parade. X3 The parade was rather amusing due to the balcony gang calling my name, at first I had no clue who it was, but it turned out to be JD Puppy, Camo, Dantee etc. You silly-nannies!
- I had a bit of fun escorting
down to the dances from her hotel room, I think the trip was a success since she wasn't pulled aside/distracted once. That Chihuahua had to get down to the dancefloor pronto!
- After the successful escort mission, the dances kicked off with a awesome set from
It had a lot great retro tunes, and I ended up pulling a
by whipping out the shoe poi for a bit of it. XD
- After Thumper's set, I dashed back to the room to suit up for Tekfox's set. To which I've did something I've never done before. I decided to put on a pair of undies (Or as NeonBunny put it "Nice Booty Shorts!") on my suit. I was literally debating weather to wear them or not to the very last minute, but I'm glad I did since I had a lot of fun with them!
-
's trap-tastic set. Wow, this was off the fuckin' chain. A truly bangin' set from start to finish. It was a lot of fun dancing to it on the floor and up on stage, and I think I surprised a couple guys by doing a knee drop on stage. It was also fun being a bit of a tease to the cameras.
- After the crazy set it was fun chilling out in the headless lounge, especially due to finding out that
's mom is a total OG.
- Back in the lobby, things turned into MFF After Dark with fun things going on in front of
's cameras. It was quite different then what I've usually done for BFF, but I know it'll make for some fun footage. This was also the first time where I was caught off-gaurd by a second camera filming me. XD
Sunday/Monday - Time to go out with a Bang, Derp Dancin' and Midwest Skifest, How am I not Dead? and GOOGLY EYES!
- The Fursuit Dance Comp. Last years one was great, and this one was downright bonkers. There was a lot of great performances from everyone, as well as some great crazy moments. There was moderate violence! There was HADOUKEN!! THERE WAS WEAVE CHUCKING!!! Seriously, major props to everyone as well as all those who tried out. There's a ton of talent out there, and it's always exciting to see what everyone brings. <3
- Closing Cerimonies was nice, and once again the con made the charity curse in surprise due to what was raised. XD Afterwards I finally got my drink on over at Hofbrauhaus, compleate with a surprise show of Torq and a couple others getting spanked there. X3
- Dead Dog Dance. Hoo boy, a lot of stuff happened. From cookies and rummy bears, to Derp Dancing with
and learning a fun simple dance which turned into Midwest Skifest. I also took a three pull from a Bacardi 151, and how I kept it inside me I have no clue. Strangely enough I handeled it better then others who were taking smaller pulls then me.
- Monday was all the feels due to everyone leaving, though there was fun times with googly eyes and airport con with good friends.
Closing Thoughts
Whew, MFF was a blast and a great way to end the year of cons for me. Major props to the hotel, the con staff and of course all my friends which makes this weekend so much fun. I look forward to next year, and all the memories it'll bring.
If anyone has any pictures or video of me (Especially of Saturday/Sunday morning), feel free to send it over.

MFF 2013 Short Meme
General | Posted 12 years agoAfter a very fun October, Birthday and Halloween, it's time for another short meme as MFF is just a couple weeks away!
Arrival/Departure
I have a feeling I'm really excited to go back to MFF, because I'll be arriving on Thursday a little after midnight at Midway. So I'll probably arrive at the hotel around 1:30-2am. (An' I thought arriving at FWA around 5:45am was early!) After the con, I'll be departing Monday evening.
Hotel
The Hyatt Regency
Stage Performance
Once again I'll be trying out for the Dance Competition, and if I make it it'll be all the feels due to what I have planned for it.
Other Stuff
I don't smoke, but I do drink. Hugs are fine as long as you're not a creeper. Pictures and video are most certainly fine, and just like last year my fuzzy butt will be at the dances and up on stage.
Like with most, this is my last con for the year so I'm gonna' make the most of it. It'll be great returning and I look forward to trying out some of the local resturants this time.
*In unrelated news, I recently updated my RF report with a couple fun things, so check that out if you missed the update. vvvvvvvv *

RF 2013 Report
General | Posted 12 years agoAfter an antagonizing hiatus from Cons in the Summer, September finally came and Rainfurrest brought a nice end to the month. I've been missing the heck out of you guys and gals, so I certainly needed it.
This was my second RF, and just like last year I had a total blast. I met new friends, had some awesome new experiences and quite possibly one of the biggest derp moments I've had at a con.
Since I've talked about the hotel in last years report, I'll be mostly sticking with the highlights of the con.
Bunnytime!
It's been a while since I've fursuited, and I actually kicked things off with something new for me...wearing a different suit. Thanks to
I suited for a bit as Pachinko, it was honestly a lot of fun, especially encountering several friends who had no idea it was me. (It helps when you don't have your name on your regular badge.)

The Dances
RF put's one some killer dances last year, and this year was no exception. With crazy lighting, lazers and even longer hours, there was plenty of dancing and spinning Poi to be had. Major props to
,
, the whole A/V crew and all the DJ's (and Rapping hyenas) who performed. Not to mention all the peeps who showed up and danced.
The Fursuit Dance Competition
This year I was able to perform in the Fursuit Dance Comp, to which I was very happy about that since I had to miss it last year due to unexpected pain. Now I'll admit I was a bit more nervous for this one then others, a main reason being the last dance comp I compeated in was AC of last year...that and the little breakdown I had after not making FWA's six months ago.
Making the nervous situation much more interesting was that fire alarm that went off, compleate with the yo-yoing "Leave/Go Back/LEAVE/GO BACK!" moment. After that little snafu, things were back to normal and I was up.
Getting back in the groove of things, I went with Missy Elliott. Giving a one-two punch of "Get Ur Freak On" and "Work It". It went well with the crowd and while I did flub a move or two I didn't want to, I still had a lot of fun with it and was happy it did entertain a lot of people. I was also happy that I scored fairly well on having a nice flow to my performance, especially since that was something I was trying to improve on.

Other Highlights
Dangerous Revolving Doors - I swear, these things were out to get me. First night I went to BJ's at the mall with several friends, and it's revolving doors felt like they only had room for one person in each space. Anytime I went through, it kept smacking the heck out of me. Also when I left the hotel to go home, the main revolving doors were spinning quite fast, so I had to leg it through otherwise we'd have a serious cartoon moment.
Where Have You've Guys Been?! - On the first day I ran into not one but TWO guys I went to high school with, and they still knew my real name. You'd think I would've known they were a part of the fandom, but back in high school I never knew.
Derp Moments
Hi! *WHACK* - Leaving the headless lounge on Sunday evening, I saw another suiter waving towards me. I waved back just as a hotel staff member was walking right in front of me, naturally with me not being able to see what's coming from the side, I ended up bapping the guy right on the head. (I was doing the up and down wave.) Thankfully he understood it was a accident, but I felt derpy due to it.
However later that evening, I had a even bigger derp moment.
What Chair? - It was late at the Dead Dog, and my friends Shea, Simba and Kiwa dropped by with some food. I went to take a seat and *WHUMP*...found out there wasn't a chair beind me. In fact, there wasn't a chair anywhere near me! I was laying on my back processing what the heck happened, and the worst part was, I was compleately sober. But the best part was that Simba thought I just flat out left since I dropped out of view in a second. XD
Closing Thoughts

General | Posted 12 years agoWith my absence of AC this year, I've had quite the urge for another con since my last one was back in March at FWA. Thankfully with September finally here, it's time for RF!
Arrival/Departure
I'll probably be arriving Thursday afternoon, and leaving Monday morning/afternoon.
Hotel
The Hilton
Stage Performance
I'm planning for the dance competition, getting back in the swing of things since my last dance comp as a competitor was last year at AC.
Other Stuff
I don't smoke, but I do drink. Hugs are fine as long as you're not a creeper. Pictures and video are most certainly fine, and just like last year my fuzzy butt will be at the dances and up on stage.

Quick Update
General | Posted 12 years agoBy now I would have a short meme for AC like I usually do with any con that's almost near, but unfortunately due to low funds and the fact everything is a bit more pricey with the Fourth of July being on Thursday...I have to miss AC this year.
I'll admit it does sting a bit considering AC was my very first convention and I've been going ever since 09', I've enjoyed every year so it does have a special place for me. To all those going, safe travels and I hope everyone has a good time. :)
Since AC became a usual event for me, the rest of the summer is going to be fairly calm. I'll admit this is kind of a good thing considering there's going to be a rapid fire chain reaction of events in the fall.
Convention-wise, I'll be returning to both RF and MFF this year. RF since it's local, and MFF since my haunted attraction job easily pays for that. I've got several things planned for both cons, so my freed up summer does give me time to prepare for those.
I've got a good amount of time, but those 95 days could go by pretty quick.

General | Posted 13 years agoWriting this report of FWA 2013 is probably the hardest one I've ever written, simply due to the sheer fact I've never been to a con where I've experienced such a broad range of emotions. I went through the highest of highs and one moment where I felt downright broken. Either way, this was a very memorable con to start off my year, so let's recap.
The Hotel
Let's start off with the obviously bad, I'd say just about everyone knows that the elevator situation really sucked. With a bank of elevators only serving the lower floors, and another bank only serving the convention space and the upper floors of the hotel, it caused a lot of issues for everyone.
Now personally it wasn't as bad for me since I was on the 17th floor, so whenever I had to go down (Be it in or out of suit), I just took the stairs and quickly made it onto the convention space. However I know many didn't have that luxury and had to rely on the elevators.
Another irky thing about the elevators was it felt like a game of chance on what floor of the convention space to try and get on the elevators, especially since some of the elevators skipped floors.
Another issue I noticed with the hotel was the poor cell phone reception, I couldn't get any reception in any hotel room. The only time I could was when I was in the convention space or lobby, though I think some had issues there as well.
Now besides the two glaringly obvious issues, I was fine with the rest of the hotel. Now I've heard the con will be returning to the Westin for one more year, and they will be addressing the elevators with more people staffing them etc. I do have a feeling it can be fixed here and there, though I know a good chunk of people who won't be returning to the con as long as it's at the Westin because the issues were so bad.
I think for next year I'll try to get a room on one of the very upper floors, since I noticed a lot of people really didn't have a problem being on those floors since they're more of a express elevator due to skipping floors 16-45. I also noticed the elevators for the upper floors usually arrived faster and more frequently then the elevators for the lower half of the hotel.
The Convention
As for FWA itself, I enjoyed the hell out of it! I really felt they do certain things better then other cons, case in point.
- The Swag
One thing I noticed right off the bat at registration and the con store is they make some pretty damn awesome swag for the con-goers. All the T-Shirts and posters of various years look great, and the fact they also make shot glasses? Boss.
The God Level Duffel bags were also really nice as well, and I have to give a big shout out to
Hibbary on doing a kick-ass job with this years poster and t-shirt/hoodie designs. The t-shirt/hoodie design is probably one of/if not my favorite con shirt.
Another great piece of swag was the custom water bottle given after the fursuit parade, while I've seen other con's do this. This one is a bit more heavy duty then others.
The Video Game Room
Out of all the conventions I've been to, I probably spent the most time in FWA's video game room then any other. A big factor was the various arcade cabinets they had, each one having a crapload of games on them. I was so happy I was able to play Strider 2, and I even played Aero Fighters 2 in suit. (A very amusing task considering I'm mostly blind in suit.)
The Dance Events
FWA is a dance con. Period. I'll tell more about it in the highlights.
The Food
The food around Atlanta is pretty good, certainly a good amount of eats around the hotel. Though there's one place I'm going to shine a spotlight on. It was a joint I've heard so much about, even before I saw it on tv specials. I've kept hearing from friends that this is truly the place to go for burgers, and I was so hyped that I was totally fine buying a 7-Day Marta Pass to travel up to the Midtown station to go to it.
This is the THE VORTEX , and I can truly say without a single doubt, that it lived up to the hype and is now my favorite burger joint, period.
The Vortex is a unique joint which looks like a demented roadhouse, the decor is a crazy mis-match of junk. Hanging from the ceiling are things like a toxic waste barrel, a vacum cleaner dressed up as a flamingo...also around the place are two skeletons riding motorcycles, a coin opertated horse ride painted as a zebra etc. Totally bizarre, but it fits perfectly.
The place is also known for it's menu which is totally irreverent and full of snark, if you ever go you'll want to read the whole menu. The place states it's a "Idiot-Free Zone" and has a "The customer is NOT always right" additude. But don't be afraid, it's all part of the charm and the staff is really friendly.
Now then, the burgers. I went there twice and here are the ones I had.
Big Bad Voodoo Patty - A burger with a chipotle cream cheese spread, four slices of bacon and a green pepper jelly. That green pepper jelly was so good I was dunking my tater tots in it.
Four Horsemen - A blackened patty with Horseradish sauce, grilled onions, sauteed mushrooms and jack cheese. At first I wasn't too sure about the Horseradish sauce, but one bite and I knew it all worked. It was probably my favorite of the two, though I loved both of them.
While I only went there twice, there were still several burgers and plenty of appitizers which looked freakin' awesome. If you ever can, make a trip up there.
Highlights
- Arriving super early in Atlanta, almost throwing up as I was checking in, and then getting a "Sister Hug" from the staff after I checked in. XD
- Winning a God Level Duffel bag at opening cerimonies.
- Encountering
several times, and it looks like he's keeping a close eye on me due to my recent badge. XD
- Finding out I could fit my fist in
mouth. XD
The Elitist Party
Mad props to

and all the DJ's for putting this together. An' a very special shout out to
foxdude for allowing his suite to be used for it. The party was a lot of fun, I really liked the main drink they had and
and
outclassed the fuck out of everyone there.
The Dances
The dances were pretty rockin' at FWA, with a crazy lighting setup and the DJ's putting on a whole lotta' great tunes, each night was a whole lotta' fun. Major props to all the DJ's and A/V crew.
The Fursuit Dance Comp
FWA is known for starting this, and it truly is one of the wildest ones out there. Everyone just brought it hard and put on one hell of a show. Congrats to all that performed and all those who tried out since you are what makes this event so damn good.
The Dead Dog of absolute insanity
Normally at other cons the Dead Dog Dance's can be on the so-so side, but not this year at FWA. The Dead Dog dance was flat out great! I'd say a big factor was they were able to have the Dead Dog in the main events room with no downgrade of lights and sound, it certainly helped with the atmosphere and I ended up staying to the very end till we all had to leave the room.
Even after I left the room I hung out with a whole bunch of friends in
Kwik room, and honestly that was a awesome way to spend the last night.
A couple highlights of that chill hangout were
-Watching
act out how Haku would dance robotically, to which I made a comment where I almost got smacked by
XD (It was a Jack Sparrow "I deserved that one" comment)
-All of us watching
video of his performance in the dance comp and all of us exploding outwards when he landed on his head/neck.
Shout Out
I have to give a special shout out to my DancerFurs family, it was a total blast hanging out with you all and the memories I had cannot be forgotten or replaced. You all know who you are, and you also brought me up from a particular moment....
The Breakdown
One thing I didn't mention yet is I tried out for the dance comp as usual, I knew this was going to be hard and I practiced like crazy throughout the con leading towards the second audition. The second auditions came, it was my turn, the music played and....I went scatterbrained. My choreo went haywire, my rhythm was off, and I was frantically moving around to try and save it. After the audition, it gradually sunk in I screwed it up.
Now this isn't the first time I didn't make it into a dance comp, I didn't make it into AC's in 2011 or MFF's of 2012. But I was fine with it, for AC is just performed my dance in the Masquerade, and with MFF I simply joined the group choreo for the opening.
But this one hit me differently like all the rest, there was no second option. This is my last con for a while, I had one chance and I fucked up. A interesting thing about suiting is it never shows your tears, since I ended up going to the back of the room and cried til long after the auditions were over.
I really love to perform, I don't care about placement or rank...all I care about is dancing and putting on a good show. This really hit me hard, and I thank my friends who helped bring me back up. Thanks
Skroy and several others for the kind words, and thank you
Doryuu for the inspiring words, you have no idea how much it ment to me.
Closing Thoughts
Even with the hotel issues, I really enjoyed FWA. It was a fun con which is a good thing since this will be my last con for a while, I don't think I'll be able to hit up AC, but I know for certain I'll be at RF. Thank you all, my friends. You're the reason why I love this fandom and I wouldn't have it any other way. <3
Oh yes, if you have any pics or videos of me, be sure to send them my way!

FWA Short Meme
General | Posted 13 years agoWith it being Valentines Day, I think it's appropriate to announce I'm attending FWA for the first time.
Arrival/Departure
I'll be arriving early Thursday morning (My plane is scheduled to arrive at 5:45 am), and I'll be departing Monday morning.
Hotel
The Westin Peachtree Plaza
Stage Performance
As with other cons I'll be trying out for the Dance Competition, and I know this will be tough due to how intense this one is.
Other Stuff
I don't smoke, but I do drink. Hugs are totally fine as long as you're not a creeper/creeping me out. I'm also a shameless camera whore, so pictures/videos are totally fine. An' I'll certainly be at the dances on the floor and up on stage.
Other then that, I'm excited to start the New Year with a new con. It'll be fun hitting up a con in the south, and I also look forward to hitting up the various food joints in Atlanta. (Certainly looking forward to the Vortex!)

A New Year, with a new schedule
General | Posted 13 years agoUsually at this point I would be posting a journal of a short meme for FC 2013, but in this New Year...I'm having a different con schedule. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend FC this year, for you see the reason why I was able to attend FC last year was because I landed my haunted attraction job in 2011. I used the money I earned from that for FC, however for last year I decided to use the money I earned at my haunt job for MFF. Considering I'm a little tight on money, it's best I don't attend FC at the moment.
While it is a bummer, I do hope everyone attending FC has a good time. I hope to return to it next year. So where will I be off to next?
Fortunately, certain things are falling into place so I know I'm going places this year. While I won't say them yet, I do know I'm going to have a fun year. Also, I'll be going to familiar places and chances are I'm going to amazing new places.
When it get's close I'll be letting you know what I'm going to, though if one pay's attention I think I already mentioned one I possibly will be going to.
Anyways, I hope everyone has a Happy New Year!

MFF 2012 Report
General | Posted 13 years agoAnother con in the books, and another one which I didn't expect to go to before the year started. It's been a surprisingly big year for me, and I think I ended my convention trips for the year with a bang. Just like RF I wasn't expecting to attend MFF before the year started, but after seeing BBF's video from last year's con and hearing glowing reviews from anyone that's attended...I had to check it out and thankfully my haunted attraction job paid for it.
The Hotel
One thing that was constantly mentioned to me was that the con has a fantastic hotel, and I can firmly say MFF has one of the best hotel/venues for a con. Seriously, I see it as a big factor on why the con is great. Especially for these key reasons.
1. It's big, but with a simple layout that's easy to get around. It also helps that it's more vertically arranged then sprawled out, all you have to do is go up or down a floor and you're not too far from any venue.
2. Large lobby with plenty of hang out space all over. Nuff said.
3. RFID Hotel Keys. This is something I want to see more hotels using, it really is the most fursuit friendly hotel key since was able to keep it in my neck pouch and just tap that against the lock.
The Convention
I felt the convention was really well run, pre-reg was a snap and I felt like I got my monies worth with the Sponsership. (Especially due to the really tasty Sponser's Brunch.) A pleasant surprise was the Con Suite, especially on finding out it's open to everyone. (A really nice gesture considering there's not many cheap eateries nearby the hotel.) Overall, it was a nicely run ship that knows how to run a party.
The Food
I certainly loved the food here, from the breakfast served at the hotel's resturant, to the Sloppy Joe's served in the con suite. As for places outside the hotel, three come to mind. All of them being in the new financial park.
Park Tavern - This was the place I was the most interested in, and it totally delivered. The Animal Tots appitizer was the thing that had me interested in going here, and it delivered in spades. Tater tots, pulled pork, cheese curds, grainy mustard, Bell's Kalamazoo gravy and a fried egg. It was total comfort food heaven for me, and for ten bucks you certainly got you monies worth since the portion sized seemed more like a family style entree. It took me and five other friends to finish it off! On top of that, I had a awesome stuffed bacon and blue cheese burger. While the place can be on the pricey side, you certainly get what you pay for and then some.
Kings - This retro bowling alley/bar/resturant knows a thing or two about food and drink. I loved their funky appitizers like the fried mac and cheese bites and cheesburger spring rolls, and their orange creamsicle drink was pretty good as well.
Five Roses Pub - I only had a salad here, but damn was it a good salad since it had shrimp, apple, Irish Bacon and fried goat cheese. The foodie in me was quite satisfied!
Dances
As always I gotta' hit up the dances, and they put on a good show. Many thanks to all the DJ's who gave us all plenty of good beats and tunes to dance to. I think a set a new record for myself since with the first night with
,
and
I ended up dancing about three hours in suit without taking my head off.
The Fursuit Dance Comp
Once again I tried out for the dance comp, and not surprisingly there was quite a turnout for the prelims. (Over 50 to be exact!!!) I'd say everyone can say this was hard, no doubt about it. Unfortunately I didn't make it in, but it happens. I just gotta' push harder for whatever my next dance comp will be.
On the plus side, with MFF's competition having a group choreo dance to kick things off, I was still able to perform in the dance comp. It was fun learning it all, and I had a blast performing it.
https://youtu.be/D8sNsrlBsBA
As for the dance comp, it was by far the best one of the year. Everyone brought it hard and helped put on one hell of a show! It also had one of the best atmosphere's of a dance comp due to all the dancers hanging out/bouncing/going ballistic at the entry point from the backstage and watching everyone perform.
Myself I got the idea to get up in the pawpet theater section of the main stage to watch, and that turned out to be a brilliant idea since 1, it gave me a great vantage of the floor and 2...well just take a look at this video.
https://youtu.be/H6XA-ryktZE
As you can see, it created quite a cute visual of a bunch of suiters watching from there. I wish there was more videos showing the main stage since we were going bonkers during several performances.
With all the dancers watching each other and such, it not only gave a great energy in the dance comp, but it also showed we're a family. We love watching each other bring it and inspire others, it's not about rank, it's about dancing to express, for the love of it. With us dancing from the heart, the end result is MFF's dance comp being what it is, one of the best dance comps we've had, period. I look forward to the future, especially with what we've seen not only in the dance comp but also the prelims. There's a lot of kick-ass talent all around, and inspiration is coming from all over.
Highlights
There's several highlights that come to mind, the first one is the Dancerfur's celebration after the dance comp.
After the dance comp,
was nice enough to order us two 30 inch pizzas. Once we recieved the monster boxes we made a mad dash to the Con Suite to demolish them before the Suite closed, after a quick prayer for
diggyroo we made quick work of the pizza and
suggested we dance on the big ass pizza boxes, brilliant!
After a quick duct taping we took the fused boxes up onto the second floor of the little atrium with the dome and had a impromptu pizza box cypher. It was pretty awesome how we progressed from that, and to make matters more interesting that atrium area was labeled as a "quiet zone" due to other groups using the meeting space in there. So it was also one of the quietest cyphers around. XD Video was certainly taken of that, and I'll post it whenever it's finished.
The second highlight is me almost killing
and
. How the hell did I do that? Simple.
After one of the dances I was really tired and making my way to the escalators in suit, both Rawk and Rei were right behind me. As we reach the escalators, Rawk and Rei see some dude almost eat shit coming off the escalator. A SPLIT SECOND LATER, I walk right into the freakin' standing sign that's right between the escalators. It caught me off guard and I lose my balance, my hand grabs the top of the sign and I do this drunken-like swig around to try and regain myself. At this point Rawk and Rei are loosing it since they think I'm flat out wasted. I swear if they looked behind themselves on the escalator, they would have died since my whole body was going up the escalator diagonally. XD Believe it or not, I was compleately sober that night. I was that freakin' tired.
Closing Thoughts
Overall, this was a fantastic con. In fact out of the four I went to this year, this was my favorite. From the great hotel, food and well run convention, to all the fun antics I got into with my roomates and friends...this was a blast from day one. Once again it's certainly the people who make the conventions great, so thank you each and every one. <3
I look forward to all the pics and videos, and if you see me in any of them I'd like them sent my way since it helps out with the PCD.

As always I gotta' hit up the dances, and they put on a good show. Many thanks to all the DJ's who gave us all plenty of good beats and tunes to dance to. I think a set a new record for myself since with the first night with
,
and
I ended up dancing about three hours in suit without taking my head off.The Fursuit Dance Comp

RF 2012 Report
General | Posted 13 years agoRainfurrest, it was the con I never expected to attend...
Before 2012 came along, I had a simple plan. To go then more then one con in a year, since while going to AC every year since 2009 was great...I knew there were other cons I'd love to check out. Thankfully everything fell into place where I was able to attend FC this year, so mission accomplished. Then came AC which was crazy fun as always, and while it was epic for me...I was curious about another convention so I was asking several people about it. I ended up hearing nothing but good things about the con, so shortly after AC I was checking the funds to see if I could go and make it a three convention year.
So where does Rainfurrest come into picture?
Originally, it wasn't even in sight. I had other plans if certain things fell into place, and on top of that my haunted attraction job would have a mandatory workshop on the same weekend. However, the plans I had ended up falling through and I found out from orientation that the haunt would not be having any workshop. So after checking the funds and thanks to a good friend, I had roomspace and knew I was finally able to attend this year...just ten days before the con started!
The Convention and Hotel
Since the only other cons I've been to have been AC and FC, this was a new experience with RF being my first con on the small side. Honestly it was a nice change of pace, especially since I'm local to this con and I came in on such short notice. Originally I thought I was going to arrive on Thursday for a bit, but I had to do some imporant errands which postponed my arrival til Friday. Thankfully with this being a smaller con, I never was in a rushed feeling due to missing a day.
As for my personal experiences with how the convention was run, I thought it was fairly well ran and staffed. So kudos to all the staff and volunteers. I'll also mention I really did like the layout of the main convention center, especially with the headless lounge connected to the main ballroom. I also really liked the setup for the fursuit photos, and I loved the fursuit badges looking like the communicators from the show.
As for the Hilton, I liked the hotel. The only downside is it has a funky layout, though I see this as just a minor gripe...especially when I look at the positives like the friendly staff and the low number of floors which makes it incredibly easy to use just the stairs and if you have to use the elevators, you won't be waiting very long for them at all.
Change of plans, food etc.
Now something unexpected did happen, I didn't perform in the dance competition. I was planning to, but early Friday morning I started feeling some constant, nagging pain in my left shoulder and shoulderblade. It was very similar to when my right shoulderblade somehow twisted last year, and that really sucked. So before the con I went to the chiropractor and had a quick adjustment, the pain went away...but I dropped my performance in the dance comp since I wanted to be better safe then sorry. That and I knew I could attend the regular dances since I could pace myself and not overdo it. Though I did attend the dance competition in suit, and I give plenty of props to my dancer peeps and all the new dancers who performed. Always love seeing this family and new talent grow. <3
As for food, I was brought over to Sharp's RoastHouse which was pretty good eats. I was also introduced to 13 Coins which I enjoyed a lot, while it may be on the pricey side depending on what you get...I really liked the food (Especially the meatballs!), the decor and for me I love the concept of a upscale diner. The fact that it's open 24/7 and very close to the hotel is a huge plus. Also, the nearby 7-Eleven was also a nice plus.
Highlights
- Placing 2nd on the Mario Kart (Wii) tournament. (Not bad since I haven't played that version in years.)
- Watching
dominate at SSBM, he had Solid Snake drop kick Pikachu into a well timed falling grenade. It was beautiful!
- Playing Cards Against Humanity for the first time at the Dead Dog.
- Having nice late night/early morning conversations with friends in the lobby and not getting to bed until 6am for a few days because of the conversations.
Dances
Even though I was able to experience three nights of dances, it was truly unreal from start to finish.
First off, let's talk about the lighting.
Terkwolf did such a awesome job with the lighting. The LED spotlights arranged all across the back of the stage made for a killer backdrop with great, crazy patterns.
Secondly, the DJ's. I always know
is going to bring great talent, and everyone I listened to brought out a killer set. So much so I gotta' break it down by nights.
Friday *aka* Animal House - My first dance of the con kicked off with a very fun and inspirational set by
, which had a very amusing moment where I heard a bunch of things falling on the dance floor. I was confused, people were screaming, did my cell phone fall out of my neck wallet? Is the ceiling dropping lights?!..Oh wait, it's candy!
Next up was
,
and
who had killer sets, I quickly found myself up on stage dancing hard and staying up there for a while since the three of them kept playing songs I loved. Last up for me was
who had a great set and finished up with that wonderful dubstep song of
getting scared while playing Amnesia. What made it great was Doryuu was up on stage when it played, leading to him acting his parts out with me being the thing that scared him.
Saturday *aka* Studio Fifty-Fur - This kicked off with Retro night, which is always fun for me and it featured pretty much every DJ around. Afterwards was
who put on a great show...and then came a DJ who earned the right to be shoehorned in....
kihu Kihu's set was actually the last one on Friday around 2:30-3am. However he apparently brought it so good that a crapload of people requested he play again at a better time so everyone can hear him.
This was truly the first encore performance of a DJ I've seen at a con, and let me tell you. This is something I won't forget, because this set reached what I call "CRITICAL MASS". It was the most off-the-wall, balls out dance I've been to. The energy of the dance was infectious, and I was up on stage dancing harder then I've ever danced before. It was so intense, the dance had to take a 5-10 minute break because someone twisted their knee and had to be taken out by a stretcher. (Don't worry, they gave a thumbs up.)
The way I see it, if you're given a encore performance, you gotta' bring the house down and he most certainly did. It was euphoria for me.
Sunday was the Dead Dog, and it was a lot of fun. An' once again Kihu rocked that dance at the end so he was a triple threat!
Seriously, the dances kicked all kinds of ass and I give major props and kudos to all involved.
Closing Thoughts
Rainfurrest, it was the con I never expected to attend...but I don't regret going.
This con was so much fun for me, it really was. It was great kicking back and goofing off with friends and making new ones, and this con solidified for me that what makes a con great is the people. So I truly thank everyone that was a part of it. I also give a shout out to all my friends who helped make this con so much fun, you know who you are. <3
As always if you got pictures or video of me, feel free to send it over. It'll sure help with the PCD.

RF Short Meme...wait, what?
General | Posted 13 years agoStory Time
Believe it or not, I wasn't planning to go to RF at all. I had plans of getting a job at the local fair to head on down to California for Knott's Berry Farm. The only possible window I could go was right over RF, hence why I wasn't planning on going. However that plan fell through, so now I have the free time to go. Turns out a plus to being local is you can go to a con on such short notice, in this case about ten days before it starts!
So now that I'm going to RF, it's time for another short meme. This one's going to be a bit different then the previous ones I've done.
Hotel
The Hilton
When I'll Be Around
Since I won't have a room til Friday, here's how it'll go.
Thursday- I might be around for part of the day to get registered/get some sketch commissions going/mingle etc. I probably won't have my suit.
UPDATE While I thought my haunted attraction job would have a mandatory workshop on Saturday, it turns out it's not having one. So once I arrive early Friday with my suit etc., I'll be staying til Monday!
Stage Performance
I'm planning for the dance competition, thankfully I got a song in mind so I won't be compleately winging it.
Other Stuff
I don't smoke, but I do drink. Hugs are totally fine as long as you're not a creeper/creeping me out. I'm also a shameless camera whore, so pictures/videos are totally fine. An' I'll certainly be at the dances on the floor and up on stage.

AC 2012 Report
General | Posted 13 years agoIn 2009, I finally lived the dream of attending not only Anthrocon, but also furry cons in general for the first time. I was knocked off my feet by how much fun cons and the fandom is, and I knew I wanted to come back. I returned in 2010 and jumped head first into suiting, I was blown away even more and compleatly hooked on suiting. I returned once again in 2011, doing more new things then ever before. I tried out for the dance competition and ended up performing in the Masquerade, I also made it into the Main Ballroom dances in suit. Once again I was blown away, wanting to come back and wondering how next year would be.
So what did AC have in store for in 2012? By far one of the most insanely awesome times I've had, ever.
For me, AC get's bigger and better every year. An' this year was just off the charts for me, everything fell into place and it made me wish I could have arrived another day earlier.
Now for the highlights, since there was a crapload of them I'll keep it to the ones most personal to me. Starting with the one I'm most proud of, the fursuit dance competition.
Ever since I got a suit I've always wanted to try out for the fursuit dance competition, I tried out last year but unfortunatly I wasn't able to make it. I made it a personal goal to make it in this year. Earlier I made it into FC's dance competition, and while that was a little confidence booster I was still nervous since that DC was a "Show up and you're in" situation. I was yet to make into a competition where there were cuts.
On Friday the prelims started, with 44 suiters trying out. I'll admit I was a little nervous since I didn't really know the two songs that were played. After the first round was over the judges asked if we wanted to do the semi-finals tomorrow...or do them now so we know who's in the finals. We all agreed to finish it now and the semi-finals begun, I was called up on the first heat so I felt a lot more comfortable. I knew I had to bring it hard since the next two songs would be my ticket in or not.
The first song was Fireflies by Owl City, while not a song I'd usually dance to, I knew the song so I was able to move to it pretty nicely. The second song was Turn Up The Music by Chris Brown, the moment I heard that song I was estatic. I went balls out on the song and left nothing behind, it was all or nothing, no turning back.
After all the heats were over, they announced the 14 dancers who were in the finals and didn't have to do a survial round...I was the second one called and I dropped to the floor in shock and awe. I did it, I finally did it. Achievement Unlocked, I made it into the fursuit dance competition!
When the dance comp started on Sunday, it was unreal. Every dancer went all out, and it was awesome being backstage and going nuts with everyone as our fellow dancers threw it down. As for my performance, I danced to Turn Me On. Personally I'm happy with how it turned out, though there's certainly room for improvement. Strangely enough I stuck in one spot on the stage and didn't work the rest of it, rather odd considering I worked the whole floor in FC's. Also kind of forgot a couple moves and some timing was off on me, but it happens. I just gotta' take the judges critiques to heart and use it to improve for the next competition I'm in. Overall I had a blast doing it and I'm proud as all heck to be up on stage with my fellow dancers. We all gave the crowd one hell of a show! (Once a good HQ video goes up I'll post a link to it.)
Other highlights at the con were...
- Performing in
rooftop dance video.
- Glowstringing in suit at the dances and even on the street next to Tonic.
- Hanging out with the GoH Dev Madan at Tonic and learning a bunch of fun things about Sly Cooper. (Like how most of Demitri's dialogue was from Dev being drunk off his ass and laughing at whatever he wrote at 2am XD )
- Dancing in suit for the entire set from both Cheetah.de and Big Blue Fox, didn't miss a single beat from them!
- Getting interviewed from the media and appearing in one of the newspapers (They accidentally mispelled my name, but it happens.) It was also amusing that one group that interviewed me was several people who work at the Pittsburgh Scarehouse. Ironically, I actually met them last year out of suit!
-Hanging out with all the dancerfurs and getting into a whole bunch of shinnanigens.
Now I have to give a very special shout out to a whole group of people, the dancer furs.
as well as all of those I've danced with at the dances and all those I missed. You guys are all a inspiration and insanely talented, we all made this con "DanceCon" and I'm proud to be a part of this welcoming and growing family. I look foward to future cons and dance competitions since you're all driving me even more. Much props and love!
Oh yes, PRAY FOR
Now for two quotes which I just loved at the con, both are strange but they cracked me up pretty good.
First up is from
- "I'm like a T-rex, if I stop moving I fall asleep." To which he quickly wondered how the hell he came up with that. XD
Second one comes from a brief shout out between me in suit and
Me- "Chihuahua!" Kendi - "TACO!" I don't know why, but that comment had me cracking up so hard. It was so compleatly random.
Overall, this was one hell of a con and PCD is hitting me like a Mack truck. So if you have any pics or videos of me, feel free to send them my way. I look forward to next year and the memories that it'll bring. As for what happened with this one, it really was a Midsummer Night's Dream and I wish I never had to wake.

Much props and love!Oh yes, PRAY FOR

Now for two quotes which I just loved at the con, both are strange but they cracked me up pretty good.
First up is from
- "I'm like a T-rex, if I stop moving I fall asleep." To which he quickly wondered how the hell he came up with that. XDSecond one comes from a brief shout out between me in suit and
Me- "Chihuahua!" Kendi - "TACO!" I don't know why, but that comment had me cracking up so hard. It was so compleatly random.Overall, this was one hell of a con and PCD is hitting me like a Mack truck. So if you have any pics or videos of me, feel free to send them my way. I look forward to next year and the memories that it'll bring. As for what happened with this one, it really was a Midsummer Night's Dream and I wish I never had to wake.
AC 2012 Short Meme
General | Posted 13 years agoIt's that time again, in 27 days I'll be leaving for AC! It'll be my fourth AC, and my 3rd suiting around. As always with my con meme's, I'll keep this short and simple.
Arrival/Departure
I'll be arriving on Wednesday in the afternoon, and departing Monday morning.
Hotel
The Westin
Stage Performance?/Plans
Like last year I'll be trying out for the Dance Competition, since I didn't make it last year I'm practicing a whole lot to hopefully make it in this time. I will admit I am a little nerveous, while being in FC's DC was a nice confidence booster...however that was a "Show up and you're in" situation. I know for a fact that AC's DC will have to make cuts like last year, so I gotta' give it my all in the trials since it's going to be intense. I really love what I have planned for the dance competition so I hope I can perform it for you!
As for the Masquerade, at the moment don't expect anything from me. Unfortunately my original idea was shelved due to not being able to get a certain prop, and while I'd do a dance...I've been focusing a lot on what I have in mind for the dance competition, so I'm not in the mood for stretching things thin with choreographing two dances.
Now I have been tossing around a couple back up ideas, so there might be a chance of me being in the Masquerade...but just to be safe, don't be surprised if I'm not.
Update - With the fursuit dance competition now having a semi-final on Saturday afternoon, that throws a major curveball in the possibility of performing in the masquerade. Since my schedule on Saturday last year was pretty packed, this year it could be a bit too stuffed if I'm doing the masquerade and semi-finals for the DC. Once the schedule is released and I can see how close things are time-wise, I'll be able to announce if I'll try for both or just one depending on the situation. (I'm certainly not skipping trying out for the DC, however if I don't make it past the prelims, I'll be able to perform in the masquerade.)
Finally, I have a feeling I might end up in one of the various dance/music videos being shot at the con this year.
Other Stuff
I don't smoke, but I do drink Yuengling. Hugs are totally fine as long as you're not a creeper/creeping me out. I'm also a shameless camera whore, so pictures/videos are totally fine. I will be suiting a whole lot, and I'll certainly be at the dances on the floor and up on stage.

The Cabin in the Woods review
General | Posted 13 years agoBeing a fan of the horror genre and reading plenty of great reviews, it was a no brainer that I had to see this at the midnight opening.
First off I have to mention that this film is mainly for fans of horror, if you've seen the classic slashers, monster flicks etc. Then there is a lot you can pick up on since this film points out the tropes, formulas, irks of the genre.
From the trailers, it looks like your normal by the numbers horror flick with five collage age kids alone in a cabin and something horrific happens. Though it looks like someone is watching all of them and controlling all the horror that's happening. What a twist!
...or not. As it turns out, the trailer doesn't give away jack. The tagline for the film is "You think you know the story", and honestly that is the most fitting tagline for the movie since the plot get's as twisted as the rubix cube cabin in the poster. Whenever you think you know what direction the film is going, it suddenly takes a corkscrewing detour.
Now I will admit, the directions it does go in and the ending can be off-putting to some. However it does make for a original and fun film. When the shit hits the fan in this film, it's a horror fan's wet dream. There's a moment in the film which I have a feeling will be iconic due to how bonkers it is, I wish I could talk about it...but it would give away too much and leave you feeling absolutely confused.
Overall this is a unique horror film that'll give you a good time at the theater.

FC 2012 Con Report
General | Posted 14 years agoAlrighty, I'm back home safe and sound and surrounded by lots of snow. I'm certainly starting off the New Year interesting by having attended FC for the first time.
Reading various journals, this year was mixed depending on who you asked. Though I expected that due to the move to the new hotel(s) , location etc.
Personally, for my first time I really enjoyed it. I got to meet up with old friends, meet plenty of new ones and had plenty of new experiences.
Now so I don't end on a downer, I'll get the so-so/bad comments out of the way. If you don't already know by now, the Hilton gave itself quite a infamous reputation. For me I was sharing a suite with friends on the 4th floor, so I was fine with that. However on Friday/Saturday we had a good amount of issues with the hotel keys not working, naturally it happened at the worst time possible...eg, when I needed to get in the room to eat, suit up and head to the dance competition. Not fun, but I'm thankful that was the only problem I had...especially considering the horror stories I read on other journals.
Space-wise, I will admit it felt a bit lop-sided with everything being on the Marriott side. Though that was just a little nitpick of mine. Not like the headless lounge which I felt needed to be bigger and/or have a second one. While the balcony was neat and nice due to the weather we had, it would have really sucked if it was raining.
My final gripe is elevator etiquette, I think it would be nice for them to have elevator security/control during peak times since there was derp/d-bag moments. Derp as in people trying to rush into a elevator without letting people get out first. D-bag as in someone riding a elevator down to go up, but closing the doors to have the elevator to themselves to go back up.
Ok, salty bad times is over. 'scues please. Happy fun time is now.
Dance Competition
It's no secret that I love to dance, and since I didn't make it into the AC dance competition last year I made it a secret goal to make it into this one. I'm happy to say I did make it, so Mission Accomplished!
Thanks to
, we have video footage!

I ended up placing 3rd in Choreographed. Now in all honesty while it's nice recieving a award since I totally didn't expect to....however for me it's not about placing in the top three etc, it's not about popularity. I do this for the love of performing and dancing. I had a blast doing this and I'll do it again in a heartbeat.
FC Unleashed!
Speaking of performing, I also performed a original skit at this event. This was pretty exciting since I've never done anything like this at a con. The skit was called "Deathly Departed", and it involved me taking amusing requests for death. I'm very happy it got a good amount of laughs, and I applaud those that got the Boot to the Head references.

As you can see I don't have the hands on, that way I could handle the cell phone and pen.
Food!
Oh my god, I loved the food here. A lot of new places I've never had before, and I'm happy the ones I were excited to try did not dissapoint.
Iguana's - My friends can vouch that I ran here the first time I went there, I love me a Al Pastor super burrito.
Tandoori Oven - Never had indian food before, so this was a nice new experience. Good food, nice staff and yay for furry discounts.
Smoke Eaters - Damn good wings, easily one of the tastiest honey BBQ wings I've had, and the Firey Garlic wings were just right for the amount of heat I can handle.
Pizza My Heart - Good pizza and props for having a Coke Freestyle machine, Rasberry Coke is a new favorite of mine.
The Pita Pit - Normally I don't go to chain resturants on vacation, unless I've never had it and/or there's just none near me. Pita Pit was one of those cases, and now I wish there was one near me since I really liked the food. The awakin' with bacon pita with a addition of chipotle sauce somehow took care of a uneasy stomach I had one morning. NOT KIDDING. (Also, yay for furry discount!)
Flames - This was easily the farthest walk for breakfast, but I couldn't pass it up with how many friends were recommending it. I'm glad I made the trek since it was a damn good breakfast. (Mardi Gras Omlette) Wish I went there earlier since they got a huge menu with great looking foods.
Finally, Psycho Donuts - I love me some good donuts, and this place delivered. I love the theme, the nurses were nice, and it never felt like I was paying for the theme. (Also, yay another furry discount!) Was I was paying for was good donuts, Tiger Tail, Key Lime Pie, Kooky Monster and my absolute favorite...S'mores. Seriously, ask
, I'm a slut for S'mores.
Dances
The dances were fun, and not surprisingly I was up on stage anytime I could during them. During the retro dance I earned a fursuit tag by dancing all out to Devo's "Whip It". My favorite moment certainly happened on Sunday during the vs between
and
At one point there was a build up where everyone was stomping along to the beat, and it got faster and louder. To the point where I think I was the only one keeping up by jackhammering the stage with my feet. It was so intense.
Dead Dog was fun as well, from me glowstringing in suit for the first time, to being all bendy in a flurry of photos.
As for all those that I've met, the list is too big. Though I do have shoutouts. Gotta' give a shoutout to
for giving me roomspace again.
- It was really nice to finally meet both of you, lots of fun conversations with you and the gang.
and
- Thanks for taking video of the DC Dreyse, and Chewy you are absolutly nuts for taking on the Burritozilla. This is a rare time where I pity a toliet.
Also,
It was great meeting you all.
As for everyone else, you most certainly know who you are and you're certainly not forgotten. It's late for me so I gotta' crash.
Oh yes, please send over any pics or videos of me, my performances etc. I'd love to see them!

FC 2012 Short Meme
General | Posted 14 years agoWith FC being less then a month away, I figured now would be a good time for one of those meme's. Especially before the large rush of them come out. Just like my AC meme, this one will be on the short side to keep it simple.
Arrival/Departure
I'll be arriving on Wednesday around noon and leaving on Tuesday in the morning.
Hotel
The Hilton
Stage Performance?/Plans
UPDATE- FC: Unleashed. There is a better chance I'll be performing in this, I decided to write a solo skit so you might be seeing me in the show.
As for the dance competition, I'm currently working on the choreography for my dance, and I also sent a note of intrest to the one who's running it. Seeing how the competition will be having two divisions, there's a very good chance I'll be in it.
As for other plans, besides a possible dinner with friends...my schedule is pretty much open. I feel with any con it's better to have just a few planned events and go with the flow on everything else.
Other stuff
I don't smoke, but I do drink. Hugs are totally fine as long as you're not a creeper/creeping me out. I'm also a shameless camera whore, so pictures are totally fine with me.
I will be suiting a lot, and you can most certainly find me at the dances...especially up on stage!
Oh yes, this will be my first FC so I'm really excited about that.
Also, apparently a girl's volleyball tournament will be going on in the convention center from Saturday to Monday. So I'm expecting extra shenanigans with them around the CC.

Good News Everyone! (Convention Related)
General | Posted 14 years agoSince I bought the plane tickets today, I can now officially confirm I will be going to FC!
This will be my first time there, so I'm pretty excited about that. I've got a good amount of fun stuff planned as well, from the Dance Competition to a skit for FC:U. Also for the first time, I will be having a costume for my suit. Now while costumes for the Infurmary are pretty obvious, I'll be going in a direction most probably won't.
As for what it is, I'll just leave you with a riddle. Who is at the hospital every day and night, but is mostly only seen by the patients? That is what I'll be.

Haunt shenanigans and more
General | Posted 14 years agoOver the month of October I've been working at a local haunted attraction called Stalker Farms, while I was planning to do a weekly journal talking about the fun stuff that's been happening there...that kinda went out the window with things getting rather busy.
So here's a journal talking about the best stories that happened. Over at the haunt I was working the larger of the two haunted attractions called "Field of Screams". It's pretty much a acre and a half cornfield with a very long trail guests have to go through. Inside the field is the infamous Slasher family as well as Doctor McFalin who's doing various experiments.
I played Grassy Slasher, a being who resided in a greenhouse. I pretty much wore a ghillie suit (For those of you that don't know, it's a camoflauge suit which allows one to blend in with the field.) and caused a whole lot of choas and paranoia in and out of the greenhouse.
The greenhouse was pretty simple, it had several switchbacks and had several tables which would rattle up and down (Pretty effective in scaring) and a barrel prop which had a figure pop out. The middle section of the house had various camo netting, string and bats/snakes/spiders hanging down. I would usually scare in the middle and quickly run out of the greenhouse for another scare.
I truly lost count how many people I've sent to the ground or into the corn, most of the time it happened at my outdoor scare...but I've also had a good amount of people drop inside the greenhouse.
Now one thing I do have a accurate count on is I made six people pee their pants. The very first one was absolutely priceless due to how it went down. I was waiting outside and I heard this couple going through the house saying "Tickle Tickle!" several times. I waited for the scare and got them both, and I said in my monster voice. "TICKLE TICKLE!"...to which the woman in the couple replied. "More like "Tinkle Tinkle!"".
My favorite scare in the greenhouse easily went to one where I had to deal with a D-Bag, as with any haunt we deal with plenty of them. Now since my section is in the second half of the field I normally don't deal with as many as line entertainment or the first half do...but I still get them. (Case in point, on the first Saturday a group tore down a couple walls in the greenhouse.)
What happened was I was waiting inside the greenhouse for the first scare, and I hear this group comming in and one of them saying. "I think there's a guy in a ghillie suit in here, let's ruin his scare!". In my mind, my inner Bon Qui Qui/Shanay-nay went. "OH HELL NAW" *Z-finger snap*. I simply wait for them to come by, they're all distracted by the jumping tables and the barrel prop. The leader of the group (The one who spoke) comes in the view near the barrel, I pop out from corner in my usual t-bone scare and snarl....and the dude just falls flat on his ass and conks his head on the barrel! Never has a scare left me so satisfied.
I've also had some great tag-team scares with my friends who are right before my scene, the scene before me is the dog handler/Fluffy scene. Which involves my friend Derrick playing the dog handler who's very loud and in your face...and the dog "Fluffy" (The role of Fluffy is played by several guys.) Due to the ghillie suit I've been mistaken for Fluffy a couple times before, so I've taken advantage of that anytime I'm in that scene when I go to and from my break. I just get on all fours and deliver a whole lot of terrifying confusion.
A great scare was Fluffy was on the left side of the path, and I was on the right. Fluffy get's his scare on a group, and then I pop out...to which the leader of the group scream. "WAIT...THERE"S TWO OF THEM?!" The group then hauled ass in a zig-zag.
Another great scare was with Derrick and I, Derrick was doing his usual bit of intimadating on this father and his three boys. The boys are freaked out and the Father and one kid manage to slip out, I go all Fluffy on them and the boy freaks out. They're about to enter the greenhouse but the Dad realizes that the other two boys are still cornered by Derrick. So the Dad has to go over and rescue his kids, though I think he was a twisted dad since he only rescued one at a time. Naturally I'm just waiting and go Fluffy on the kids when they run by. Once the dad has all his kids they quickly dash into the Greenhouse, thinking that was over...until Derrick screams "GET'EM BOY!!!" I go charging into the greenhouse and I see the boys huddling together and getting smaller and smaller.
Meanwhile the dad is just laughing his head off.
I've also had some great moments chasing/following groups out of the greenhouse and towards McFalin's tent. The two best happened on Halloween. The first one was one of those "Name scares" where I hear someones name and use it to freak them out.
The name was "Jessica" and I screamed it to the women I thought it was, she screamed back and I started the usual tormenting and such. She kept freaking out and eventually said "I'M NOT JESSICA!", to which I reply "THEN WHY ARE YOU REPLYING WHEN I CALL YOU THAT?" A guy behind me quickly says. "Jessica's over here." I turn around and see Jessica who's clinging to the guy who replied and looks pretty freaked out. Without missing a beat I scream "WHY ARE YOU CONFUSING THAT WOMAN, JESSICA?!" The group laughs and Jessica just screams and tries to hide from me.
The second moment was I was following a group and freaking out the girl in the back with her friend/boyfriend. She tried making a lame comeback to me, so I simply told her I was going to send Jed Slasher (One of the chainsaw guys) on her. She asked who he was and the chainsaws went off in the distance at the perfect time, I told her he has the chainsaw and she immediatly started shaking her head and went. "No!nononono! Please no! WHY?!" I quickly pointed to her friend who was wearing a Santa hat. "BECAUSE HE'S WEARING A CHRISMAS HAT!" The girl turns to her friend and screams. "WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME?!" I was certain she was going to slug him, though none the less I knew I just ruined that guys night.
As for the best scare of the season, that happened on Halloween as well. Early in the night something went wrong with the pumps for the tables and barrel animatronics, it sent out a nasty smell which forced me to work outside until it was fixed. I decided to work in the Fluffy scene since I've gotten great scares there, since it was the last night and we were all going all out...I decided to try something. In the scene there's a small doghouse with a light inside, for the whole month I was wondering if anyone could fit inside it.
I gave it a try and opa! I was able to squeeze inside the door and fit compleatly inside the dog house! It surprised the heck outta' Derrick and Keenen (The guy playing Fluffy that night) as well as myself. The question now was would I be able to scare from there? Due to the size of the door, I could only quickly pop out my head. It would take a little longer to crawl out. The next group came by, I popped my head out barking, growling, snarling etc. as I crawled out. The people in front screamed and ran, and since I had to crawl out on my side I was looking straight at the rest of the group.
There was one woman who saw me crawling out and stopped, her eyes got wide as dinner plates and she slowly stepped back. I knew she was the one since she was giving a total look of fear. I started crawling out towards her, and she moved back a bit quicker. Once my feet got through the door I did a full on Fluffy charge, barking, snapping and growling as loud as I could. She flat out screamed and bolted backwards, naturally Derrick heard the commotion and chased her as well. Thankfully no other groups were comming by since this was the absolutle oppisite of "Scaring forward". I swear we tramuatized that women since it took her a while to go forward through the scene.
Overall, I had a blast working the haunt. It was a really successful year, and we ended up breaking last years record of making people crap their pants. Last year three people lost it, and this year we had five crap themselves. (One day we had two people crap at the same time, and it was their anniversary which made things more dementedly hilarious. Also, on Halloween we had a guy crap his pants while waiting in line.)
Convention Updates
Oh yes, as I mentioned in a earlier journal this job would be helping me earn money for AC and possibly FC. I can now say that I have a very good chance of attending FC for the very first time. All I need is a confirmation from my parents and I'll be good to go! :D

General Update
General | Posted 14 years agoOi, things have been pretty busy over here. Though with everyone making journals for RF I figured now would be a good time for a update.
While I'm about an' hour away from RF, unfortunantly I won't be able to attend for a couple reasons. The reasons being 1. Money is a little tight right now, and I want to save up for AC and possibly FC. An' 2., I recently found out I made the cast for a haunted attraction I wanted to work at, and it's mandatory orientation is on the 24th. Since it's a job I really wanted and it's a paying one, that certainly takes top priority over everything else.
If Fur The Record is having a pre-party, then there's a chance I might be able to go to that since that'll be easy on the wallet/travel etc.
That's all for now, hope everyone's been doing good an' such.

Fur The Record: Off The Chain Report
General | Posted 14 years agoLast night
furtherecord held it's official launch party down in Seattle at Club Motor, it was pretty much a seven hour event with six great DJ's such as
tibolf ,
akonite , EarVelvet (
thumper ) ,
tekfox ,
reccasenli and
tigon . It was also fursuit friendly with a headless lounge, and we pretty much had the club to ourselves since it was a private party.
I pretty much want to spread the word out that this was a kick-ass event! The DJ's brought it with a nice variety of music, the lighting was good (Done by the same lighting designer from last years Rainfurrest), they also had a nice VJ and there was a nice well stocked bar. Kittylovesmonster was also there selling nifty t-shirts.
For me I felt the event was well organized and well worth the $20 cover, I had a lot of fun and it was great meeting up with friends and making new ones. Also, with it being a 18+ party, the fun shinnanigens were certainly there. XD
Please do spread the word about this, while there was a good turnout,
furtherecord can always have more people attenting furture events. They are looking at a variety of events, from 16+ events to 18+ and 21+ events.

General | Posted 14 years agoWow, this was a whirlwind of a week. This was my 3rd AC and it was easily the best one so far!
The Con just kicked all kinds of ass, and I did a crapload of things I've never done before. It was so much fun from beginning to end.
I made a good amount of personal goals for the con, such as being out in suit more/being more active in suit. Try out for the dance competition, do something for the Masquerade, try a couple new resturants etc. I'm happy to say I accomplished those goals, some in ways I didn't expect!
Now since I didn't drink too much at the con, that and only drunk enough to get a little buzz and nothing else...I actually remember a whole lot. I'll try to keep things somewhat simple since everything would make the journal insanely big.
- First off, many thanks to
goldenbullet666 for giving me roomspace. Not to mention many thanks to my other roommates for being somewhat sane and compleatly drama-free.
- I ended up suiting for six hours on Wed., with the first two hours without taking my head off...I met my record of suiting longer then last year on the day I arrived! O_o
- Dinner at the Sharp Edge Bistro with
Costello ,
Casidhevixen ,
Skyote , Mr. Skyote and a couple others. That place was full of good Belgian food and beer, so major thanks to Skyote for planning it!
- Got a lot of commissions this year, hopefully I can get them up on here soon.
- I met my goal of making it into the ballroom dances in suit. I'm nearsighted and can't wear my glasses in suit, so going into the main dances is a bit of a bigger challange for me. But none the less, I made it in and danced in suit for all the main dances.
- Speaking of dances, they were freakin' awesome. With a lot of people up on stage dancing (myself included), they had such a great atmosphere and kicked major ass.
- I tried out for the Dance Competition this year, though unfortunatly I didn't make the cut. It was a learning experience, but it was a lot of fun. There was a crapload of talent, and I have to say I was really proud that
0r30 made the cut.
- I also went out and did something for the Masquerade, now I was planning to do a actual magic trick...but when I tried practicing it fully in suit...it wasn't working how I'd liked it to be. So I resorted to Plan B, do the dance I had planned if I made it into the dance competition finals!
Now while I've been in Marching Band and Drama, things that I don't have butterflies for...I'll admit I was having some major butterflies right before I went on stage to perform. This was easily the biggest group I've done a solo performance for, so I was nerveous since it was all up to me for this to succeed.
Thankfully once the music played and I started dancing, the butterflies went away and things went down as planned. I danced and shaked my ass off, and I had the biggest freakin' grin afterwards. It felt so good to do something like that, and it was great getting the various compliments and hearing from people they really liked the show. So it makes me feel good that I was a part of it.
- Plenty of antics for Big Blue Fox and his camera crew. I did a good amount of stuff for them, I did a mentalism skit that pridicts the blantantly obvious, the magic act I planned to do the Masquerade..and plenty of dancing.
- Speaking of dancing, during the awesome "German Invasion" of Saturday night's dance...I shared quite a dance with a bunny friend of mine. While some would probably prefer the shadows for that kind of dance, let's just say we went bold and danced on center stage. I'd say I lived up to my "Sly Devil" reputation depicted on some of my badges right then and there. <3
Thanks to all the people I've met, the staff and my friends for the memories. There's too many to list here, though you all know who you are.
Also, if you have any pictures/videos or see any of me...please do send them over or link me to them! I do appreciate it, and just like I told
kajiryuujin , I am a dirty, filthy camera whore!
Now if you'll excuse me I gotta' go sleep, it's been one hell of a con and for some reason I'm still hearing all the various elevator beeps and dings from the Westin in my head.

AC Short Meme
General | Posted 14 years agoI'll be keeping this meme nice and short.
Arrive/Depart
I'll be arriving on Wednesday in the afternoon, and I'll be leaving on Monday in the afternoon.
Hotel
The Westin
Stage performance?
Yes, this year'll I'll be sarificing some time to entertain you on stage...hopefully twice. I'll be doing the Masquerade and the Dance Competition, so if you can make it to the shows, then please do! :D I'll be doing a actual magic trick in the Masquerade and I've been working hard for the D.C.
Other stuff
I don't smoke, but I do drink. I'll also be suiting around a lot more then last year, and I certainly attend the dances. Hugs and photos are totally fine, and as a warning I'm pretty much somewhat blind while in suit...so you might need to speak up or just flat out get in front of me if you need my attention.

Kung Fu Panda 2 short and simple review
General | Posted 14 years agoJust got back from seeing the midnight screening of Kung Fu Panda 2, since I know many of you probably haven't seen it yet...I'm keeping the review short and simple for now.
This is a freakin' knock-out, Gary Oldman is awesome as Lord Shen, there's more awesome 2D animation, the story is more personal, darker and very nice.
I also saw it in 3D, and it was used pretty damn well in it.
Overall, weather you see it in 2D or 3D...go and see it, See It, SEE IT, GET OUT THERE AND SEE IT!!!!
Yeah, I loved it. So much so that I'm seeing it again, and that doesn't happen often.
