Life updates + New account
Posted 4 years agoHey there!
Long time since any activity on this profile. First of all, I'd like to thank each and every person that faved/watched/messaged me during this period. I'm really grateful for all your support, though it also takes me to my next point.
During this low activity period, I started focusing more on book reviewing and even tried my hand at editing, after which I finally realized my true calling. I've always hated drafting, still do and probably always will, but editing is something that I've liked as a writer and that was nurtured the more I worked with all the talented peeps out there. Spotting mistakes and thinking of ways to improve things, that's my stuff. Actually falling through...
Which is why I decided to mostly quit writing. I won't do it all together, but I'd like to focus on what makes me happier. This is not a decision I took lightly, but I believe it will be for the best.
Also a part of these changes, I created a new account to accommodate my writing/editing
Rothstein.
Again, I'm not sure if or when I'll write again, but if I do, it'll be there, so give me a follow if you want. I might end up reposting some of the stuff here on there as part of the migration (still thinking whether to purge that stuff from here or not).
As for this account, I'm thinking of keeping it for more personal stuff, like commissioned art or friends.
Again, thank you all for your support and may the winds of fortune sail you!

Same as usual and closing for requests
Posted 6 years agoNothing new for 4+ months, but at least I can say I'm constant with that...
The request experiment was a failure, I shouldn't have taken them without feeling completely ready, but maybe it's for the better :/
I think I found the kind of writing I want to do and I'll pursue it. That does not mean that I or my writing will be leaving the fandom, though I don't know what that'll mean for this gallery here.
Don't know what to tell you guys, except maybe it's for the best?
See you in 4 months when I change my mind again!

REQUESTS OPEN
Posted 6 years agoHi everyone,
In order to get more discipline when it comes to writing, and to help me get out of my writer's block, I decided to open for requests (around 1000-3000 words, or 4-12 printed pages, though they could be longer if needed). To get a slot, please send a note here or in SoFurry with the following information:
Setting (urban, sci-fi, fantasy, etc.)
Gender pairing (m/solo, m/f, etc. Max: 2 characters)
Species involved (if necessary)
Content type (sfw or nsfw, if necessary)
Idea, prompt, and/or list of things that you'd like to see
There are 5 slots, and I'll try to keep them FIFO. However, since these are requests, I do reserve the right to give more priority to stories that interest me. Moreover, I also reserve the right to refuse any given request.
Things I won't write about:
-scat
-gore
-underage characters (even in sfw situations)
-feral characters in nsfw situations (sfw is okay)
-non-furry stories (human/machine/whatever + anthro, and innanimate tf are okay)
-continuations of something in my gallery (unless you're the original requestor)
If you have any doubts whether your story falls in any of the above, feel free to ask.
For examples of my work:
SFW: Sample1, Sample2
NSFW: Sample1, Sample2
Thanks and see you later!

Not dead (yet!) and opening for requests
Posted 6 years agoWow, 4 months sure passed quickly :P
As it's my usual tradition, I apologize for the lack of content, but I guess it's for the best given that my first long-ish story did not get the traction I expected from it (maybe finishing it one day). Now, that doesn't mean I didn't do anything related to writing these past few months. I took several online writing courses, started several stories which I never finished, and submitted one piece to an anthology (which got accepted, in case you were curious). Also, I went to my first furcon and several things happened IRL, but I know you're not here about me, so let's get going with the news.
I've given it some thought and decided to start taking requests again, possibly to help me get some discipline and to get me out of my current writer's block. The details of this will be posted later.
As usual, thanks for the favs and follow through these silent months, and hope to get a few stories in before my vacations in October.

Updates
Posted 8 years agoFirst of all, I'd like to thank all of you who Faved, Voted, and watched me during this last... six months? Time sure does fly. Anyway, I really appreciate your support and I'd give you a shout if it didn't feel that out of place giving how long it has been. Moreover, I'd also like to apologize to those following me for not postin anything in such a long time, both when it comes to stories and replies. I do plan to get back on track, but you know how life sometimes gets in the way.
With that out of the picture, time for the boring "me" part that no one wants to read.
I don't think it's necessary to mention that my self-imposed writing challenge was a bust, though I got farther than I thought I would. Ever since then, I've tried to get a better challenge that's less demanding and more interesting (mostly going by themes), but most of those stories did not progress much and got stuck in that weird limbo between the planning, writing, and editing hells. Hopefully I'll finish them one day, but that day won't be soon with me leaving for a one-month vacation to Europe in a couple of days. Hence why I decided to post one last story before leaving (good thing my lack of constant updates means that no one will notice :)). Once I do get back, I'll try to get some requests done before going back to personal stories, since some of them are way past due.
As for those interested on what I've been up to the last half year or so, besides procrastinating, here's the basic rundown:
-Work
-Netflix
-Job searching
-Learning how to draw
-Learning how to program in Unity
-Playing videogames on Steam, even writing a guide for one of them
-Getting social media accounts i.e., Ferzu, FurriesXtreme, and Telegram. You can find me by the same user name
-Went to India fro work-related purposes

Boring emo crap, and Writing Challenge
Posted 9 years agoHi boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen.
(Just putting some boring "me" stuff that no one cares about anyway. Skip to the bolded part if you want)
It's been, what, about a year and a half since I first posted my first story an what do I have to show for it? 12 stories and barely any progress with my skill. Not even 1 by month, and that's if counting each chapter as a separate story.
To be honest, it's not what I thought it'd be when I started. At first, I wanted to be at least semi-regular and get 1-2 by month as I got used to things. However, it seems that I grew way above that line.
Be it story research, school, job, or even just procrastinating; I'm always leaving behind my writing and it shows.
I know that an inconsistent publishing schedule is not my worst issue (especially when taking into account: lack of vocabulary, lousy descriptions, predictable storylines, etc.) but they can all be resumed in one way: if I don't write more, I won't improve.
Therefore, I decided to do a writing challenge.
Throughout all this month, I promise to give you a new story every day. I know what you're thinking, how can a procrastinating bad writer hope to accomplish doing 3 times as much in one month than he does in a year? Well, the answer is simple: I don't.
Nonetheless, I'll do as much as possible to fulfill that promise and, who knows, maybe that'll help me get the discipline I so desperately need.
Though, due to the time constraint, this'll mean that I'll be popping out several stories with barely any editing (a few typo corrections here and there) and that'll mean a drop in quality from my part.
To the few people following me, I apologize for flooding you for this month; but I need to do this for me if I want to continue with this hobby.
(There's no need to read any longer, but do as you wish)
As for the rules of the challenge, they are simple (to be updated as required):
1.- I, Togo, promise to deliver one story per day for this month (making it 31 stories in total).
2.- Said stories have to be posted one per day as long as the challenge last.
3.- If I were ever to be unable to write a story one day (be it a medical emergency or just that I had an event with some friends), I'll have to write and/or post the corresponding stories the next available day. Not matter how many stories they are or how long it takes me to finish all of them.
4.- While editing will be minimal during the week, I should at least try to put as much effort as I usually do during the weekends/vacations since I'll have the time to do so.
5.- Multiple chapters, prequels, sequels, sidestories, etc. do not count as stories for this challenge. Also, if I were ever to think about having multiple chapters for a story, they all have to posted during the same day (except when I came with them a few days later, when I'll have to post as many as possible during the same day).
6.- I can cheat in the sense that I can use previously written, but not published, stories for this challenge. As long as I write from scratch and follow all other rules.
Again, sorry for the inconveniences this might cause, but hopefully it'll all be for the best. Also, if you ever wanted a badly written version of something you like, this is the perfect time to ask it. It'd really help to have a few ideas to use for the remaining stories.
