CoVID and Art
Posted 5 years agoCurrently there are 3 days left here until my area enters an official state of emergency, due to two covid related deaths recently.
As of right now, food stockpiles in my area and 3 surrounding counties are depleted or empty in terms of what I can actually eat with my celiac. (Beans, Rice, Potatos)
With the strict rationing Ive had to do with remaining supplies until this eases up, waking hours have shortened just to conserve energy and stores.
What does this mean for you all; It means that art will be a little bit slower, uploads will follow a stricter schedule. Journal updates may fall behind, as the commission journal has.
To be clear, I am not sick- nor am I adhering to an isolation period currently. Its a surreal setup of having the money for groceries, but cant find any groceries to buy.
Either way, Thank you for your patience.

I think having a designated upload day, maybe sunday and wednesday so that SOMETHING happens on those days.

This will be the permanent journal for commission slots and prices as they stand 1-AUG-2019
Not linking personal icons, as whats important here is that the queue is made available and its slots known.
In order of slot availability and turnover speed :
Badges / Busts - [30$]
B&W Sketch - [20$] - additional sketch characters + [13$] each
Color Fullbody [34$] - Additional color fullbody characters + [15$] each
I have figured out softshade/color+line works enough to take them on properly again. They will be classed as T2 comms, so keep an eye open for those slots!
Color/Shade fullbody [75$] - Additional color/shade fullbody + [55$] each
Characters with overly complex lines (ex : complex clothing, shape, fur patterns, excessive piercings or tattoos) and/or overly complex colorschemes (ex : 8 or more colors per character) +[15$ - 75$] depending on complexity
(This is really just a personal preference thing, overly complex characters slow down turnaround drastically, especially with the specificity required with patterns or markings, and is at my discretion, tattoos and ultra-complicated fur patterns / detail heavy designs are not a strength of mine)

A. Just don't ask every single day, thats really the only thing I ask. Turnaround time begins when your commission is started, not when you file it.

Like sure, artists need a way to support themselves, but I dont know. Ive covered this in much more depth before hand elsewhere, I cant stand seeing artists basically turn into Ubisoft when it comes to actually releasing content / advertised or promised submissions dangled just out of reach behind inaccurate tags if only you'd give them a dollar!
