Time management is usually my strong suit, but lately that's been a challenge for me. I've been spending too much time giggling like a schoolgirl at the absurdity that is Saint's Row 3 and 4. Almost done with 4, so it should be over soon.

Is it weird that I find it satisfying to bludgeon aliens to death with a blue glowing dildo bat? Of course, that's assuming they survive the blast to thin the pack. Most mobs don't survive that in late game. Explosive blast and explosive death perk makes for a chain reaction that kills even tanks usually.

It's been a weird year for me. Lost my mate, trudged through depression, had a car totaled and have picked myself up.

Overall not too bad to be working. Finished up the flat color ref of Sharon and put most of the colors on a sweet panda friend.

So, I've been too quiet lately. That's because I'm back in the dumps. The car was given a judgement of 'rolling total' and the amount isn't enough to do much with. I've been on the bus, making it to work.

Anyway, I thought I'd hop on and let everyone know I'm not dead.

Funny story, had enough points at the gas station to get a free $20 Steam card. Found Arkham Knight on sale and picked it up for about $16. Installed it and it runs... barely. My aging machine isn't badass enough to run it properly... yet. After I get the car sorted out, I'm going to be pricing components for a rebuild. I'll salvage the case and probably my two large hard drives, but the smaller one will be getting replaced... as well as just about everything else. It'll be a bit of work, but I'm up to it once I have some extra money.

That said, now I truly know how it feels to be a Windows gamer. I get to play an awesome game, but I have to completely upgrade my system to make it worth playing. Ran the benchmark at several settings for giggles. At best, with lowest settings in a tiny ass window, I got 12 frames per second on average. With the settings jacked up as high as they'd go, I got 1 FPS.

Today has been fun... in a sense. I like working with my hands and such. Car repairs would seem to be something natural that I'd love doing.

Not when rent is due and I need an alternator. That'll scare a guy shitless.

That said, I've been working on the monstrosity I drive for most of the day and almost have the part out. Hopefully reversing procedure will go much more smoothly since I know how everything came off. The only thing that'll be a bitch is putting the coolant back in. Yes, to get to the alternator, I have to drain the coolant and remove the thermostat housing.

I didn't design it. Major inconvenience there.

Anyway, almost done. Back to work once the coolant finishes draining.

Turns out my fuel pump was quickly on it's way to a shallow grave. Managed to limp it to the mechanic this morning after calling out from work. Thankfully I had the time off to cover.

Just over 600 to cover that and it fixed most of the problem. I'm still having a delayed start and random stalls. At least now the engine is getting proper fuel and I can restart it on the fly by dropping into neutral and igniting while coasting. The pain in the ass is that I lose power steering and brakes, so I have to do it fast.

Going to be going over the electrical system in detail on my first actual day off, Monday. It could be simply a loose wire, or it could be something more sinister. Gonna start simple though. The KISS method hasn't failed me yet.

At least there's a silver lining to the cloud that just wiped out my savings. My fuel gauge reads accurately... for the first time ever.

Now to somehow scrape up enough money to cover rent and car insurance... Hopefully my OT requests will go through and I'll be up to my ears in busy so I won't have to worry about it.

Now, I can understand that I am more mechanically inclined than her. Most members of my family, male and female, tend to do their own maintenance on their cars. I never really had to learn. Working on my own car since I got it two years ago, my knowledge and skill has risen substantially, but I'm still no mechanic by any stretch of the imagination.

Thankfully it's pretty basic and I can learn what I need to on YouTube, but it's still a pain to spend the one day I might have had for drawing on this project. So far I've changed out the front brake pads (disc brakes) and solved the mystery of the strange blue wire to nowhere. Turns out it was a former undercover police cruiser and it had connection lines for lights left in place. Next up are the back brake pads (drum brakes) and a refill of the refrigerant for the AC.

My hands are already too wrecked to draw any today... and tomorrow, I'm sure she has more plans.

At least in good news, I had three crazy busy weeks at work that got some extra money in... just in time to buy another six months of car insurance... fuck...

Another echo from the void. Hoping to be heard.

Recently, my mate and I moved from our apartment (that was treating us rather bad really), to a new place and the moveout seemed smooth. The bump hits a few days later as they send not the deposit back, or even part of it, but a huge bill. The reason why, replacing the carpet.

Now, I understand that YES, it did need replaced. After the flood incident, it should have been done immediately, or at least cleaned properly. It didn't happen either way. Instead, they wait until we move out and try to blame it on 'pet stains'.

I've already called BS on them. I've sent in my dispute and a truckload of photos of move in, the flood, the day after, a month later (showing work STILL wasn't done) and move out. Also getting a lawyer ready. Not happy times, but I'm doing everything I can on this one.

I could have lived with losing the deposit, but wanting about $500 MORE... NO!

Went to the dentist today. Got the final permanent bridge put in at last. It's nice to really bite again. It's one of those simple things you don't miss until it's gone.

In the process of moving. Don't know when we'll have internet at the new place. My computer wont be moving until next week at least, so I can still try to work when I'm home... which isn't often lately.

Oh well. We're making the move work somehow. Tight as hell, but we are.

Sometimes it's hard working in the Magic Kingdom. Crowds are rough, lines are long and it's hotter than the devil's backside. But other times, good things spread like a disease.

I got Omega Ruby recently. My 3DS hangs out in my bag at work. During my first break, I found that I am the proud recipient of an Eon Ticket!

With the street pass distribution, this is something I'm happy to spread around... unlike the cold.

Crazy life going on. Finally scored enough bonus EXP to hit the big 30. It's actually hard to believe that I'm that old now... Life for me only really feels like it's only just started.

Not a whole lot going on artistically... and it's mostly my fault. I've been lazy as hell lately after work. Even today, I got off a little early, but I've been kicking back, trying to let my legs rest a bit. Can't stay that way for long though. I'll reveal that later.

Car's still running like a dream a few months later and I've been keeping the payments on the loan current. I could still use a little help, but I'll just take things as they come.

The last couple of days, my mate surprised me with a big homecooked dinner, a BIG chocolate cake and some time together (on my free passes) at Disney's Hollywood Studios park. She's too good to me... I don't know where I'd be without her.

Last on my agenda today, I'm moving. It's been nearly a year in this apartment and the lease is almost out. The new place will have the monthly rent payment cut in HALF and only be a little bit further of a drive for me to get to work everyday. It'll be awkward living with roomies again, but I'll live.
