Going out on a limb here, hopefully someone will bite.

I've told the stories of my woes, so I won't repeat them in their entirety... again. I will however provide an abridged version. I've had more than my fair share of misfortune from replacing a car engine and having my two front teeth replaced with a bridge... in the same month. For both, they are technically paid for, but it leaves myself and my girlfriend in something of a pickle.

Car engine replacement was just over $3,000 parts and labor.
Teeth were $560 (after my insurance)

Financing has slowed the impact, but it will hit eventually.

It's depressing, especially when I'm working five days a week, having enough trouble paying the bills and having enough to eat. I need help and my family isn't in any shape to do so either.

That's why I'm making this journal, and it's twin over on DeviantArt. At the suggestion and my eventual acceptance of the idea of donations from a friend or two, I've decided to meet halfway so I don't feel like a total leech.

I'm opening donation sketches. They'll be simple bust portrait sketches that I can do even when exhausted from work. Maybe more depending on how much is donated. Any amount over $10 will also get the original sketch shipped to the owner if desired.

Wow... it seems like I can't catch a break lately. I went to the dentist yesterday and got the good news that I can start on the bridge. Getting the two fronts yanked and everything.

I then get the bad news from the auto shop... The engine finally finished blowing a head gasket. Made arrangements for a replacement engine and it should be ready Monday, but for the next few days, I'm on the Lynx bus and out around $2600... At least my girlfriend... who I will be rubbing her feet until I DIE, had good enough credit to qualify for financing so we could get it done.

In other news, I was finally accepted for a credit card and can start building real credit... YAY MORE DEBT!*

*I have a long, drawn out opinion on why the credit system is stupid.

I've been away, again. This time with internet access, but a different reason for not being around as much as I really should. For the last month or so, we (my mate and I) had a guest staying in the apartment while searching for a place of their own. My computer tower/art workstation is in a open place in the living/dining area, so I didn't think it would be much appreciated if I were frequently browsing the sheer volume of furry porn that appears in my inbox. Even worse could have been the reaction if I had been witnessed drawing it

The guest has moved out now and things are mostly back to normal. My home is now 100% in the possession of my lady's cat, you know, the way it should be.

It took well over four months to get everything lined out, but now I have a computer desk, my computer set up and now internet access via the wireless network that is working. I've spent the last couple days updating my computer. Lots of shit came out while I was in limbo it seems... and lots upon lots of naughty drawings were posted too. Going through those as fast as I can. It may be a while.

It's confirmed that my usual days off will be Wednesday and Thursday, so I'm considering getting back into streaming on those days. Not sure how many are still using LiveStream or what anyone's using now. I've noticed a couple of others that use Tigerdile. Not gotten to look into it. Feel free to let me know if anything is worth using and maybe point me to how to set it up.

I missed you guys, so it's really good to be back. First on my slate is a little something I started before the move.

My computer gave me a scare for a while. Normally I'm pretty good at diagnosing tech problems, but this time it took a while to figure out that my video card was shot physically. The diagnostic tools showed no problems until the card died at last and I finally heard the motherboard beep codes.

That said, I dropped about 50 on a new one and installation only took a few minutes. It's not designed to be a graphical powerhouse like the old one, but it'll hold until I do the big upgrade in a few months*.

Should be getting proper internet service soon as well. My mate should be working on that this week or next.

Wow it's been a while since I've been online properly. still working on it. The last couple of months have been a series of major misadventures and things are finally getting back to abnormal.

The worst event by far has been the flood... from my upstairs neighbor's water line breaking last month. Had to pack EVERYTHING in the dead of night to minimize the water damage. Finally back in the fixed apartment.

Some epic news followed though. I've got a new job starting soon. I'll be working at Disney. It's only in the parks, but who knows where it can lead. I was offered full time and benefits right at the interview. From others that I've spoken with, that almost never happens. Should I be scared?

My computer wasn't damaged in the flood and its sort of set up. I should be able to resume arting soon. still need a desk and internet access, but it's another step in the right direction.

... and I think that's it. I know I haven't been on as much as usual, but I still check messages daily. how has everyone been? I miss you guys and gals.

Moved into my apartment and now have internet access via my phone. Not set up for art yet, but I'm working on it.

Nothing major to report yet, but I thought I'd let my friends know that the rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

All right. Nearly got my stuff packed into the vehicles... and it turns out my car has WAY more room than I thought. Between the two cars, I should be able to transport virtually all of my stuff plus the food, drinks and my parents' clothing for the trip as well.

I hope it'll be a smooth ride. I'll see you when I have internet access. I'll be free from the cruel joke that is HughesNet and ready to enjoy things again.

Just a couple days before I enter silence for the move. Sadly, I've had to pack away most of my equipment, so any new artwork will have to wait until I'm in the new digs to get a scan and hopefully a full digital treatment.

While thinking about it... I realized something. When I do have internet access again, I'll be free of both Dialup AND HughesNet! I'll be able to stream and watch streams openly when I'm at home.

That leads me to ask something. If I were to begin streaming again... would anyone want to watch? Have I been out of the game for too long?

I hope not. I had fun back when I could stream and it would be a shame to not do it again.

It's taken over 10 years, but I at last have a girlfriend! It's been official since September, but I wanted to make sure things were pretty solid before I said anything.

Even more news, I'm going to be moving to Florida and will be sharing an apartment with her in January. Anyone who had my cell number while I was working at H&R Block over this past year will need to note me for the updated one that I should have soon from a cheap drop phone if you want to keep in touch. Internet may or may not be in the cards for the first few weeks after I get moved in.

Already got jobs lined up, now I just need to get my booty down there. Leaving Jan. 6th and don't plan to do more than visit KY once in a while.

I watched the game theory that in Majora's Mask, Link is dead. *record screech* Wait... what?

You heard me. Our medieval batman, the lovable hero in green is dead as a doornail and going through the stages of denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Those were equated with Clock Town, Woodfall, Snow Head, Great Bay and Ikana Canyon respectively. There's also lots more, but I'll let the video do the talking. Watch it.

It all seems pretty convincing. It even parallels with the skeleton in Twilight Princess being possibly Link from OoT. The re use of character models from Ocarina helps add as well, seeming like a hellish twist on his memories of life.

I have a few thoughts on it though. First is the one that caught me most obviously. The skeleton in TP is an adult, not the child you play as in MM. That can be explained away as childhood memories prevailing during death, but it also weakens the argument when you think about how he would have needed a descendant to make the Link in TP even possible. Memories of fatherhood would usually be much stronger.

I personally will stick with the parallel dimension theory or at least give the dead camp the possibility of it being a NDE. (Near Death Experience). Perhaps while searching for Navi, he took a nasty spill and the events of MM were a crazy dream brought on by fear of death. One he wakes from after Termina is saved. My evidence for that is the Fierce Deity Mask. Like giving yourself super powers to fight a nightmare, that mask may have been a symbol of his will to fight back and survive.

Thoughts and discussion welcome. Majora's Mask is a creepy, but enjoyable entry in the Legend of Zelda series and one of my favorites.

... there are several answers to that. Mild curiosity, knowing several other artists post here and... well... porn.

2. What does your username have to do with you?
It is an awkward story to tell at times. Pretty much, I'm a huge anime fan (who would have guessed?!) and one of my favorite voice actors is Tomokazu Seki. I thought it would be funny to use a parody of his given name and twist it a little with the Japanese word for 'Tiger'. A happy accident then came from it, leading to Torakazu, which, depending on the kanji used, can mean, peaceful or lazy tiger.

 Crowchild He's been through hell, but always finds a way to laugh and enjoy doing what he enjoys.

I try to do both, but sometimes... I have nothing good to say, so I keep my trap shut.

Pretty much my furry stuff or my adult stuff... some of the latter also being the former.

Hmmm... Tough call. Probably https://www.furaffinity.net/view/6764244/ I had to learn to do some difficult, but very pleasant effects to make that look even close to right.

11. What are the things you wish you could draw better?
Hands and positioning. Working on both.

I have it up all the time when I'm at home, but usually I'm not actively using it. Maybe about 3 hours in a day... more if I find an interesting gallery and I'm going through it all.

13. Are you a fast, slow, or medium typer?
Fast. On a great day, I top end around 130 WPM. Most days, I hover around 60 because I'm lazy.

14. What is the most annoying thing people ask you?
... I don't get asked enough stuff to be annoyed.

15. What is the most annoying/offending comment you've received?
Nothing I care to repeat. It was a comment about how I was wasting money buying an art book when I could download it for free. Said comment was hidden.

16. What/who inspires you?
I try to draw inspiration from everything. Music gets me drawing and coloring the most though... as well as listening to some of my favorite anime and movies.

17. Everyone has considered leaving FA once or twice. Have you? Why?
No. I've heard so many butthurt stories from people who have left and honestly... I've never encountered any of it here. Maybe it's because I'm not a whiny teenager.

I was getting ready for a vacation. Going to Florida tomorrow.

In other news, the radiator change took care of the problem with my car. It took a few long drives to work all of the air pockets out of the system, but it's done.

CAR GET!

Well, good news is that the previous mechanic I'd had check out my car was wrong. Took it for a second opinion and it was determined to be a problem in the cooling system. Had the radiator flushed (after putting on a thermostat and a water pump myself), removed the sub zero modification from in front of the radiator and everything seemed to be working fine at last.


... then I took it for a couple laps around the test course (a series of roads near my house that make a convenient loop). The temperature was doing well at first before suddenly spiking, hard and refusing to go down. The radiator is pretty much blocked now. Easiest way to fix is a full replace. There's another $170 or so I wish I didn't have to spend.

I get paid this week for some of the crazy hours I worked last month... I hope it's enough to handle this and still live on.

Turns out that the heads are screwed. Cheapest option now is to replace the whole engine. On the plus side though, I can rid myself of any of the remaining problems that the engine has by doing it. Problem is that it's still more expensive than I'd like.

So far, the cheapest I've found, purchased and shipped is almost $1,100. Not sure how much it'll cost to put in, but it's probably cheaper than replacing head gaskets.

Beautiful on the outside, but a total fucking mess on the inside.

My worst fear came to pass today. Right after I had gotten some new tires put on (the ones that it came with were in desperate need of replacement), the head gasket blew catastrophically.

Right now, I'm looking at a few options. First, take it to a mechanic for a professional gasket replace and hope the head isn't cracked. Cost, about 1400. Second, get a gasket kit and DIY for about 200. ... and the option that scares me the most, if the head is cracked... order a new engine and have it put in... for around 2K.

I feel so fucked right now it's not funny.

Sorry I've been so quiet of late. My part arrived... well... yesterday now and I got the new tank installed. Found that a sensor had been unplugged, crossed over and taped up. It only took a few seconds to correct that and get it installed into the new surge tank as well.

I have the system 'burping' overnight in a way that was suggested by several for tricky air bubbles. By morning, it should be great even over longer drives. I plan to go see my best friend and see him for a day or two... maybe three.

Besides that, I have a crazy month coming up with computer upgrades in the offices. I'm just reminding myself of the mileage.

Well, I have a good news, bad news situation.

My car is back from the work it had done. That's the good news.

Bad news is that the water pump decided to fucking die tonight while I was on a drive to see just how well it could handle some larger trips. I was also trying to work the last of the air out of the system.

Will be seeking professional help soon.
