Remember when I said I wanted to make a comic with all those characters I had running around my head? Yeah, I haven't the faintest where to begin. Maybe reaching out to someone feels like a bit of a copout, but I know where my weaknesses are... and I can't write not-porn to save my life.

So if anyone knows any writers I can commission or collaborate with, who wouldn't mind working with my characters, and having me take their words and making it a comic, please suggest them!

I've been in a bad place emotionally the last few weeks - it's been one of those things where you're all dressed and ready to go but you just can't bring yourself to walk out the door. It's been affecting not only commissions but also my uni work. I've also recently gotten back into WoW in a big way, which I suppose just compounds matters.

I'm trying to pick myself back up slowly, so you should see more activity from me over the coming weeks. Only a month or so left of my final semester, I can't wait to brush my hands of it at last and just dedicate all my time to art.

Will be driving up to the country to visit BF's family, so won't be able to work on any commissions while I'm there. Should be back by the weekend though. Hope everyone understands, I'm a little uncomfortable working on commissions in the company of family, even if it's not NSFW. But while I'm there I'll try to make time to do some personal work I meant to do in the last couple of weeks.

In other news, PAX Aus was last weekend, and it was great fun! We only went on the Friday and Saturday, spent most of both days playing board games in the big top, hahaha. Played Mice and Mystics on Friday, and Small Worlds on Saturday. Saw a lot of great cosplays, did a little bit of cosplay myself too - I went as Desmond Miles from AC. Mostly deleted the IA sketches from last year, and a bunch of other old things. Wondering maybe if I should make a zip file of all the past years' work and do one of those "donate to get high res files" things. Would anyone be interested in that?

Starting prices would probably be about $40-60 for a painted bust sculpt, and $100-150 for a full body sculpt. This includes high-res renders and a turntable, of course. :)

They're usually $45, but I have one slot open for $40! Haven't drawn an awesome armoured char piece in a while, so I want to do one.

I went and got myself addicted to WoW again for a few weeks. I'm out of it now - thank fuck - but that's mainly the reason why I haven't been drawing and for that I have no excuse.

Anyway, uni also recently started back up for me, and it's my honours year, which means research papers research papers research papers. Ugh seriously, I think I did more writing and note taking in the last week than all of the last two years combined. Thankfully, they do have a practical design aspect to it, but we won't reach that point until at least another month, so until then... it's searching databases and creating Google docs for me. /_\

On the other hand, I do have a unit where one of the briefs is to perform a series of art improvement exercises over 10 weeks. That means 10 developed outcomes over 10 weeks, so one per week. I'm really excited about this one, because over the 3 or 4 hours working on this yesterday, I learned a lot about zbrush, which I've wanted to properly learn for ages. So, yay!

I'm going to try and devote at least one hour a day for commissions from now on, and today I'm going to power through as much of my backlog as I can.

Mostly deleted some stuff from 2 years ago, a few sketchy crappy things, and a few things that didn't belong in this gallery any more. I contemplated deleting all the IA stuff from last year, but left it since it's still fairly recent, ie. less than six months. I may do another IA in the coming months, who knows!
