Mindy, when she was young, she was much more of a sweetheart before she was who she is right now. No piercings, No tattoo on the ear, Less... intimidating looking, and never wielded her halo rings despite being a Halo Loop Dragon. Well... Only one that's on her head hence the name. She was given the name Mindy which also means 'The gentle one' as she was a gentle being, however, overtime, things started to turn sour for her as time went by.
She resides at a temple where she is taken care of by a caretaker of the temple. Her parents were nowhere to be found in this time period so one of the caretakers, being a dragoness, had to take her in as a foal and treated her like family. Once she's growing up in her mid-teens, she discovered that her own kind was one of a kind. Someone unlike ANY other dragon species. She also learned, by the caretaker, that she has the potential to possess powers that she may never thought she would have. Being a curious teen, she wanted to dive deeper into that to learn more about her origin. Unfortunately, being a one of a kind species, there was not much info about it, however, Mindy DO know one thing. Her halo ring on her head has something to do with this 'power' they've mentioned.
Unfortunately, at her age, she wasn't able to do so per what the caretaker said and that she has to wait till she's old enough. It was hard enough to even discover her own species and their capabilities and NOW she has to wait? To be fair, she thought it wasn't too big of a deal at first, but soon later, she will understand what she can fully possess. At the age of 18, she was met with the master of the temple who's ALSO a dragon, though a much different kind of one. He's basically an elder of the temple. The 'know-it-all' kind of guy. They recall that there is a reason why her species aren't documented much. It wasn't only the fact that there's not many of them hanging around, but also no one knew the true power of their halo rings. It's a secret that hasn't been revealed since their first existence. Probably because of how dangerous it was? She wasn't sure.
He happened to know this 'secret', however, it's a lengthy journey that Mindy has to take first before she can master it. Mindy was determined to learn it and willing to go beyond her limits to master it. If no one could master it, why not allow Mindy to be the first one, she thought. The elder dragon was given a hefty book that contains EVERYTHING that she needs to know about a Halo Loop Dragon and their capabilities. She was warned that she better use this power for the good and not for the evil. Of course, she understood and went on her way.
During her little training, she was pushed around by high-classed sorcerers and sorceresses who essentially made fun of her for having her halo ring above her head and how dumb it looks. Being the carefree person she was, she tries to avoid every possible encounter she has with those people but it all results in her being bullied over her appearance. Sometimes about her family too, even though she has zero knowledge about them. She was considered a 'weakling' at this point, and failed to defend herself and stand up to them. This is where she realized that being a gentle dragon isn't gonna make these people show mercy or anyone that is. They will take every advantage they have to ensure they get the upper hand on everything. Mindy makes a hard decision to move out of the temple and train on her own. She doesn't wanna leave her elder or her caretaker, but if she wanna efficiently learn her kind and train, she must not have any distractions.
For over 10 years, she's trained and educated herself every day for several hours a day with an exception of eating something and occasionally mingling with some people. Few of which are magic users themselves. That alone motivates her to do more. During those 10 years, she decides to change her appearance, give herself multiple piercings, a couple more halo rings that can not only be used as jewels but for additional power, and a lot more. One person also gave her some wisdom about how to deal with her bullies at her temple.
These are the quotes she learned:
“Bullying is a horrible thing. It sticks with you forever. It poisons you. But only if you let it.”
“Your self-worth is not linked to your cruel words and actions. Your self-esteem is not affected by your deliberate attempts to destroy your character. They have no power over you. You will not be silenced by them.”

These three quotes are what made Mindy change as a person. Her gentleness was the main reason why she had to deal with this. After that, she left. Forbid her caretaker and her elder goodbyes before she went on her own path. She has no idea what she wants to do next. One thing for sure, she will continue to fulfill what no other of her species could do. Master the power of her halo rings.

Her back tattoo has many meanings to her. She call it "The Holy Quadfecta". It starts with the holy cross in the center that is surrounded by the diamond-like unique tribal tattoo. Having four points or angles + the cross in the center hence the name Holy Quadfecta. Think of it as the Holy Trinity, but has a different meaning. She has four main elemental attacks. Fire, Electric, Poison, and Ice. Each resembles a dragon of their typing that was inherited by her species. Those four is what makes the 'Quadfecta', however, she can also have the ability to combine two of the elements together to form a new one. For example, if she mix her electric attacks with her fire, it will create radiation. Fire and poison makes gas. The list goes on.
Though, Mindy also has the ability to fuse ALL four of her elemental powers into one, truly destructive powers. A power that ignores all kinds of resistance and curses it may have to resist or retaliate with. That's something that Mindy is learning about thoroughly, but she knew enough to create a tattoo the resembles such in her own way. It's something she must cherish and contain to herself. It's essentially a secret she has that no one should know the whole story about. Hence why she covers it with her long hair or clothes. If one discovers it, she will not share everything about it. The only thing she'll share is the name of it and why. She only trusts super close friends with deeper info on that.
Powers:
Most of her power heavily relies around her halo rings that either surround her or simply cast one with a simple snap of a finger or a simple move.She does have powers outside of them but mostly, she keeps them lowkey until she needs to take extreme measures to use them. She finds her magic as a more self-defense tool as she doesn't like to go offense with them unless she really has to.
Levitation: She's able to levitate to extreme heights. She doesn't use it too much.
Flash: Her halo rings have the ability to instantly flash their opponent(s) and/or stagger them with intense light to blind them for a good moment. She, herself, cannot be blinded by it or anything.
Elemental Chakram: Mindy can hurl her halo rings towards enemies, making them vulnerable to more damage and it ricochets off to walls, objects, and/or another person or the same person again before returning back to the user. It can change to a certain element (Fire, Electric, Poison, or Ice) before it can be thrown.
Warding Halo: She creates a floating protective ring of fire that surrounds her and protects her, granting full immunity to all sources of damage and knockdowns/status effects for five seconds. All damage inflicted within the time frame will be absorbed and converts to 'Health' and multiplies by two onto the Warding Halo ability. Anyone too close to her will get staggered and have a chance to get slashed. Once the time frame is over, all absorbed damage will complete and stored around the Warding Halo as total health it has. If no damage is dealt during that phase, it will utilize the base health of the ability and nothing more. Incoming damage will now revoke 90% of the damage off all sources and Hecate will only take 10% of the damage until the ability ran out of health to protect her with and depletes its ring.
Elemental Ward: She emits an elemental aura that surrounds herself. The halo rings on her head, arms, and legs will change colors depending on the element.
- Red/Heat: This will allow her to have more health and anyone who gets near her will be eroded with heat and get burned by it.
- Blue/Ice: Her aura will encase herself with armor of ice, make her withstand even more hits and provide damage reduction thanks to the armor. All projectiles will be defected back with 2 times the damage.
- Green/Poison: Emits an aura of noxious fumes around Mindy and this allows her to have faster reflexes and speed throughout. Same thing with heat, anyone who gets near her will be inflicted with toxin damage.
- Purple/Electric: Mindy infused herself which grants her 'shields' to take hits before it depletes after taking a certain amount of damage and any incoming damage will discharge an arc towards them and deal a lot of electric damage.
Spiritual Latch: Mindy throws her one halo ring towards their victim and ensnares them tightly. Once tightly latched, it emits an intense aura that disables ANY special abilities/attacks, immobilizes them, and is resistant to physical retaliations until either the ring breaks or Mindy removes it.
Spiritual Heal: Similar to Spiritual Latch, her ring coils around the victim but instead of dealing any damage, a healing aura of light shines on the halo ring. That same aura is also capable of cleansing status effect (like poison, burn, etc), wounds, or even internal damage.
Spiritual Blessing: Mindy enlarges one halo ring to a specified size and lays it on the ground where the victim lies. If the victim is dead, similar to Spiritual Healing, that same aura surrounds the victim in a small radius, performing an 'automatic ritual' that would not only bring them back to life but also heals MOST of their injuries. This move, however, WILL drain a SHIT ton of her mana/energy to a point where she MUST use it once and cannot use it again for 2 weeks to a month and the victim HAS to be dead for it to work.
Dread Mirror: Mindy violently slashes someone and rips their lifeforce out of them in order to create a Dread Mirror with one of her halo rings. All damage directed towards that mirror will be absorbed. It can move in a direct mirror to her control. Since it's a directional mirror at a 120 degrees angle, anyone could attack behind her or outside the angle of the Dread Mirror. She could also cast Dread Mirror without slashing them using the halo ring itself, but it will take longer and require a bit of blood (from anyone) to cast it.
Hysteria: Mindy goes into primal rage, extends her claws, eyes glow red, and is capable of unleashing a torrent of deadly claw attacks at enemies. She will be completely invulnerable to all sources of damage and knockdowns once she starts throwing in flurries of swift claw attacks. However, if she doesn't hurt anyone and/or stays in this ability for too long, she will take quite a bit of self-damage depending on how long she's been in it. Think of this as enhanced Outrage/Thrash from Pokemon with different consequences. The longer she's in Hysteria, the stronger she'll become at no cap but the risk of something happening to her also enhances. She can deactivate Hysteria at any time and lash out an aura that pushes them back far depending how much damage taken during Hysteria but as a result, it will cause a temporary headache. If used twice after it was used shortly before, then she has a VERY high risk of fainting or at worse, death.
Warcry: Mindy lets out a rallying cry that bolsters her allies' melee speed and herself. It will also boost their armor if allies are nearby.

Those few books are all related to magic. At least, different kinds of magic powers. Fire, Ice, Wing, Even Dragon magic. For a couple of years, she's fascinated and enthusiastic about learning magic herself and perhaps utilize some one day. Despite it being a fictional book, she thought it was possible. Telling her mom about it, they completely deny her of doing such. No one in the village specializes in magic or any kind of witchcraft which in turn motivates her even further, but of course, their parents forbid her as they thought it was too dangerous. Mother wasn't on board with this, but her father didn't mind it at all considering his role in this village. Regardless, she felt like this was unfair, especially when her father can be a destructive god.
Of course, that alone made her extremely upset as this was her only dream she had. A few months after, she met someone that further boosts her theory AND is a user themselves. An outsider named Octavia, who started learning the ways of water magic and she was quite older than Hecate. They were visiting a friend in the village until Hecate, being the child she was, really craves to see some of her magic powers. That's where she knew. She MUST learn more about her and how she gets started. For a few years, those two thoroughly bonded and they talk about witchcraft and magic throughout. Of course, hangouts was normal but Hecate's goal was to learn about how did she do it.
It is when she turned 16 where Octavia greeted her to someone she knew. Someone that can fulfill her dreams to become a true sorceress herself. Of course, Hecate springs into excitement about that. That's where she met her mentor for the first time. A Lucario. His name was Bruxo. He possesses essentially EVERY elemental power he could master. He looks young-ish, but he's about 300 years old and one of few living Lucarios ever to exist. He is not the type to teach ANYONE magic around her age, but they see something in Hecate that he never seen in anyone else. So he offered to be their master and teach the fundamentals of fire and poison magic, of course, with some safety precautions and limitations as he doesn't want to see her hurt badly. Youngling shouldn't possess magic in his book, but he has his ways around that.
This is where her journey started. Though with 'training wheels' first. Despite their parents disapproval of magic, Hecate rather fulfilled her dream than listening to them. She's quite reckless in the beginning but of course, it'll change overtime.

The only way to regenerate her mana is a specialized potion specifically made for Hecate to regenerate a certain amount of mana depending on the size of potion she takes.
Fire manipulation: She can control literally any kind of fire rather it's a natural-caused fire or fire from another user, even her own. She can change its shape, size, color, intensity, add poison or corrosion effects, add some kind of secondary effect like Radiation and maneuverability. Immune to Fire damage
Poison manipulation: She can create, shape, and manipulate poison. She can turn any poisonous substance into a corrosive substance far more intense than normal. Even able to surpass most user's resistance to poison. She's also immune to all poison, even corrosion itself.
Body manipulation: She has the ability to change her height, body part size, create another part, and anything involving herself and others. There are not many limitations on how far she can grow.

Radiant Form: Remember when her master gave her one particular book that is only made for Hecate to use? Well, this is it. A form that basically transforms her into a more fiery and deadly look. She's darker, taller, much more powerful than her normal self. It breaks the mold of things that are normally not possible for her natural form. Her fire power drastically enhanced, her speed significantly increased, much more reactive, and a bit more durable (mostly on the special side).
Her purple flames on her head and hands are permanently on, though, with her hands, she can fuse them off if she wants to grab something, hold someone's hand, etc. She can even engulf herself in flames so that she can look like the shape of herself. Almost like a phoenix would. There are little to no limitations to what she can do in this form, however, going overboard may cause some complications.

Casting any fire ability will intensify the heat of her fiery armor. If it overheats, it will gradually diminish a tiny portion of mana per second. Base Immolation starts at 50% damage reduction to all attacks and it caps at 95%.at max heat. Any physical attack with contact might result in them getting burned. Considering how frail she is when it comes to physical attacks, this ability helps her reduce the damage she takes from it.
Fire Smash: Not to be mistaken with Fire Blast from Pokemon, she slams on the ground, creating a wave of plasma fire that expands outward within a large radius. This power has the ability to strip all sources of armor depending on how hot her Immolation armor is. Overheated Immolation will strip all armor. Anything lower strips most of it (50%-99%). It's also the source of distinguishing some of her immolation heat to prevent themselves from being overheated and losing mana overtime.
Inferno: Hecate can summon fiery meteorites to descend towards her enemies. Think of it as a fire version of Draco Meteor without the special attack drop. Though, each enemy she sees will cost a fixed amount of mana per enemy on sight. Once it makes contact, they will be engulfed in intense flames from the impact and force them into a blaze.
Ring of Fire: She generates a large ring of fire that will scorch anyone who steps foot on the Ring of Fire. Allies inside the ring will receive double damage along with their attacks partially fused with fire. Foes who stay in the ring for too long, unless immune, will be internally scorched and explode.
Breach Surge: Hecate can drop a fiery energy explosion before her that rapidly expands in a mild radius. Anyone who's affected by it will be blinded for a set duration along with getting hit with radiation.
Sol Gate: Using the power of the sun (solar plasma more specifically), she creates a huge beam of fire towards the direction she faces. This powerful beam can deal corrosive, heat, AND radiation at the same time. It's a channeling ability that drains her mana overtime and ramps up in power which drains even more energy.
Reckoning: Her uses her aura to suspend someone into the air, then violently slams them down to the ground. Surviving foes will be blinded for a good five seconds along with inflicted radiation.
Hallowed Ground: Hecate can sanctify the ground below her with righteous fire. Anyone who stands on it will be inflicted with radiation damage. She can also switch to deal corrosive damage instead of radiation if she so chooses.
Corrosive Spore: Not to be mistaken with a sleeping spore attack, Hecate sends out a pox of corrosive spore and latches onto their foes. Overtime, it will deal more damage than the second before for every second for an unlimited amount of time until the host is killed or finds a way to nullify it.
Molt: She sheds her skin like a snake to leave an identical decoy of herself from where she starts shedding, granting her faster movement speed and parkour velocity. If her decoy is destroyed, it will explode in a toxic cloud and they will be inflicted with her toxic damage if they are within range.
Toxic Lash: Melee strikes and any other weapon Hecate possesses will be infused with her toxins. Any allies who are within range will also be granted with poison damage to their melee weapon and/or any weapons in general. Posted 3 years agoHonestly, the amount of people favoriting my content and small number of watches coming in within a matter of a day really makes me happy. I am glad that you enjoy my OC(s) and I will do my best to provide more.
