Also - I leave for Tennessee tomorrow morning. =\ Couple mixed emotions about going... Want to see a few family members, don't really want to put up with most of them, really want to see Kathryn and Ami <3 UGH it'll be a long weekend that's for sure. I'm excited though, I always enjoy leaving the state.

Family, REPORT!
Posted 16 years agoSo apparently there has been a very large conflict between my cousin and the church he was going to get married in in Knoxville, so they aren't having the wedding there anymore. Now they're in last minute scramblings for a new church, possibly moving it to next weekend though they really want it this one. So far they're thinking about one of the sister churches around Nashville, Kimbio and Pomona i believe. I dunno much else about it. I think they're liking the one just south of Nashville.
=\ Still not sure how I'm going to afford my hotel stay there! Nashville's hotels are expensive... It's like trying to go to MFM without the mass of people I want to be around.
Time for class... so ready to be done with college already.

Posted 16 years agoSo, found out that my dear sister is engaged yesterday. Not at all what I would have expected out of her... though I guess I didn't expect her to move off to knobhole nowhere arkansas with the boyfriend she got that nobody in the family has met either. *sigh*
But, like I've been saying every hour since then, no sense getting mad or crying over what you have no control over.
On brighter note, new roommate! She's totally a furry now, after being exposed to the meaning behind the word and a couple of sites. She's a long time friend and I couldn't ask for a better person to live with right now.
School tomorrow... bleh... cousins wedding on Friday in Tennessee so I get to see my awesome new friends from the con again.
Looking forward to the good things in life and living with the bad, each even builds character... something to think about.
But, like I've been saying every hour since then, no sense getting mad or crying over what you have no control over.

Posted 16 years agoWandered down to the free clinic today to get a check up and make sure this con crud wasn't getting worse like it suddenly felt like it was this morning but it's fine. They gave me some cheap antibiotics and sent me on my way. I got a lollipop! ^_^ teehee
Anyway, yea I am feeling almost 100% again now that the day has gone on a bit and I'm ready to get back into the normal swing of things again...
ALSO, need to talk to you two girls about this order! I has money ready, just need to get it to you. :) Yell at me online when ya get a chance.

Posted 16 years agoSooo sick right now. I can hardly see straight. Throat is on fire, sinuses and glands are swollen and working over time, massive headache and slight nausea. Haven't felt this bad in months. :'(

MFM 2009 n stuffs
Posted 16 years agoWell, the con was the greatest one I have been to to date to sum it up.
Got to the hotel on Friday about noon, after spending Thursday with some friends in Little Rock, and met up with my roomies. Spent a little bit standing around talking with them then went down and registered and wandered about a little bit, finding two of my newer friends! Opening ceremonies was a little slow, but it gave me that warm feeling like usual, that comfort of knowing I was home again. :)
After opening ceremonies I met up with ANOTHER two of my new friends, who are the GREATEST PEOPLE EVAR! :D Niennes and SumoMaru deffinately helped make the con enjoyable for me, they put up with my bugginess and general oddities through the weekend and I enjoyed the scritches. ^.^
Saturday was met with lots of wandering around checking out all the suits and playing with LOTS OF BALLOONS! :D I met up with the CAFA group sometime in the evening and hung out for a little bit and went out to eat with them on Sunday after everyone else I had met had left, even if I was dead tired. :P
Sunday was marked mainly with the announcement that we were no longer going to have MFM in Memphis at the hotel anymore, we were moving into Mississippi! Which I am totally excited about and ready for MFM 2010 to hurry up and get here so I can see everyone again and start some new memories and meet more friends in our wonderful new CONVENTION CENTER! :D I hope everyone else is as excited as I know I am.
Other than that, I spent the weekend nursing my back occasionally and taking naps when possible... now to get back to ARTS, so I can have my partial by next year. ;D

Posted 16 years agoSo, MFM was basically the best con I've been to so far and it's only going to be even better next year. Was very laid back and chill this year, and I enjoyed it. New hotel next year, SQUEEEE! :D
Also - I suck at coloring... and drawing... this reference sheet is frying my nerves for pencils and paper. Will continue tomorrow!... in comp class x)

Posted 16 years agoWell MFM is only a few days away and here I am... stuck in bed... trying not to make myself fall over in pain.
Bags are packed at least.
Sleeping bag is washed and rolled up ready to go.
Money is bagged up and budgeted out.
The only thing I haven't been able to pick up that I need is some damn glow sticks... wal mart is sold out, the local outdoor store is sold out, the PARTY store is sold out. BOTH OF THEM.
Either there are furries in town that I don't know about, or there some parties going on that I want to get into, either way I need to find who's using these glowsticks! >:D
Well - gonna go take me a pill and lay in bed until my body goes numb then probably pass out for the next 9 hours. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE EVERYONE AT THE CON! Travel safe you people, see you there. (!!) <3

Still missing one of my Comp books for college cause they can't seem to order enough x_x
Other than that though it's been a great day. Spent a lot of time outside just enjoying the change of weather from 94+ to the new 80~ :D
Took a lot of pictures. Deledted a lot of pictures. Cleaned up the room and starting gathering up my stuff for preparation to MFM! OMG IT'S THIS WEEKEND OMG OMG O M G
I'm totally not ready, but totally stoked up for it! :D Get to meet lots of neat new people this year and rooming with people I don't know. SUPAH EXCITED!

DOODLES!
Posted 16 years agoWell the past week I started college classes again - going to be an EEEAAASSY semester. General Psych, Comp I and Intro to Radiology.
I've also done a bit of doodling and seeing what I can do to improve on said doodles. doodle...teehee.. Haven't come up with anything that I really want to post yet or anything but I did do a head shot and colored it to see what I thought about the colors I had in my head for my fursona. I'm pretty pleased with what it looks like, it'll get some more tweaking over the next week- I'll post a picture of it sometime today if I can get my scanner to work... or camera for that matter.
Well other than that I'm just freaking STOKED about MFM this coming weekend!! Gonna meet some new awesome people and rooming with some new people that seem pretty chill and get to meet up with the CAFA group again! :D

Posted 16 years agoWell, I've gotten frustrated/bored with the games I've been playing lately so it's time to work on the things I keep putting off.
Going to start trying to work on my doodles a bit and see if I can't get where I want to be as far as my drawing skills go. ALSO I'm trying to pick up my sax again :D I'm really enjoying it so far, I can't believe I stopped playing!!

Posted 16 years agoSo! I've been home a total of 4 days in the past 3 months... needless to say... I WANNA GO HOME!! x'( BUT Tomorrow that is coming true, got a 5 hour drive from Dallas back home and then I get to sit down and enjoy being home for 2 whole weeks before school starts back up.
Also on a brighter note, my Aunt is giving me her old small digital camera to bring home with me since my Nikon D30 was broken, AND it comes with a promise!!! If I get half the price of WHATEVER camera I want, she'll pay for the other half for a birthday present. O_O I can totally cash it in before my bday too!! EXCITED!!
Time for sleep so I can wake up early and get home before balls:30 in the afternoon.
