used to be female when i was like in elementary school, now male by far. don't even really enjoy drawing girls, but i'm also gayer now.

ugh i only doodle and i think about doing shit but never do it

- Any tips for coloring/shading?
i haven't shaded anything with a black coloured pencil since like middle school. red and black together make me think of hot topic and it pisses me off but i find myself using them together (hopefully in ways that are un-hot-topicy.) in the same vein, red and green always make me think of x-mas together so i avoid unless it's like a red t-shirt and a moss green jacket which i think is hella sexy. i hate lavender but when i am colouring all colours start becoming important. there are such things as cool and warm shadows - when it clicks it clicks. i don't care what you do, this is how i do. that is all. someone should give me moar tips.

- How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
i'm a slow worker, a 2 hours might be minimum. probably more, shit... oil paintings are like 9 hours minimum (the shorter ones were usually abstract) but can probably take like 2.5 months (i was also doing a heavy courseload for high school at the time so these calculations are sort of pointless.) sculptures take me longer if we're talking from clay start to plaster cast to finishing. my fastest doodles are like 15 minutes ._. i think even if you averaged those in my average length of time to finish a piece of artwork is like 10 hours .-.

- What music do you listen to while you draw?

- How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
i have no plans, i need to work on this. i always have ideas in my mind but rarely execute :/

sharpie, ballpoint pen, pencil
i like collage but that probably isn't technically drawing

my favourite colour is teal but i hate turquoise.
i probably use blue the most. i really like jeans.

i like punk rawwwwk posters - i love brian ewing even if all he does is cliche skulls (the warped tours poster guy,) and vasilis lolos, who did pirates of coney island.

my favourite artist is robert rauschenberg but i don't like jasper johns.

i like manly men a la the sculpture of rodin but also dainty ones a la portraitures of sargent.

my fave furry artist ever is hilary penna, she is my idol and has always been since middle school (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/tomhoshino) this is how i learned to draw, i once legit copied exactly one of her drawings into my sketchbook (the leftmost character here: http://us-p.vclart.net/vcl/Artists/.....ol/hipdeep.jpg) i mean i didn't post it anywhere or pretend it was mine, i just seriously...idk i just loved it. printed out a bunch of her pictures to look at. did something similar with zeriara's work way back, her oldest stuff isn't up anymore (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/seux/) but roux is still my favouritestestsetstset i legit want to be her. like seriously my whole life wheels around becoming her. /me sounds like serial killer ._.

- Are you satisfied with your current art?
uh, dangerously, yes, when i finish an art piece, sometimes, i'm like...ITZ PERFECT. i don't like going back to fix things, i'd rather apply what i learned to future pieces. but i always want MOAR, of course i want to be better and better. i'm just lazy about it. i don't improve exponentially like those who art a lot, it's like little tiny (lazy) babysteps.

- What kind of artist are you aiming for?
i don't care if i'm commercially successful but it would be cool to make some money off of art
