Posted 11 years agoWell I read posts from dragoneer, who created and runs the website. It was about shota and loli, and how it was forbidden to have them in mature situation, he cleared out to another person that this only applied to humans-protohumans at that moment (2010) not furs or cubs.
I DO NOT want to be part of a website that only bans pedophilia because of the law, it's WRONG, and it should be banned because of that, MORAL, NOT just because "the website could get blocked in some country".
So if, they could get away with it legally... it would't be banned, we'd have pedo crap all over the place? no thanks.
I feel bad for leaving, sorry to all of you guys, thank you all for your favorites and kind comments. Specially thanks to Monoorange for helping me out so much with commissions.
I'm not dying or leaving the internet, I'll be active at deviant art from now on. I'm MusclePower there. I'll be uploading pretty much the same type of content, except no vaginas or sexual intercourse.

Posted 11 years agoNews is everywhere, you've probably heard, he passed away. Very sad. We lost a charming, charismatic person. Lightly reading his wikipedia article, genuinely nice man too, he did charity work.
I remember this one time when someone received an award, and froze on stage! he jumped on, talked some gibberish, it wasn't actually funny, but it was amusing and it diverted from the fact that the person was standing there saying nothing in front of hundreds of people, not counting cameras and the other millions of viewers.

Posted 11 years agoOk, so I need a very small amount of money to add to the total I need to buy a tablet, I'll just get the basic one again, I can't wait, it'll make everything so much easier and better.
To speed things up I have an offer for full commissions at 8$ total with paypal right now. That's a shaded color drawing that I usually have at 13$.
That should about cover it. Best case scenario, I'd have a tablet by October.

Holy crap! some rain! finally!
Posted 11 years agoSO! we've been having some serious drought over here! with the intense heat and all. Yesterday it finally started to rain a little!.
But really, it was baaaad. Yesterday and the day before we had water supply, but before that, for four days and half, yes, FOUR AND A HALF! no water coming out pipes!. That means no showers, washing machine, and trouble getting potable water.
The rain was light, but I'm REALLY hoping it's just the beginning, and it starts to rain a lot more.
On top of the scarce items I have to look for, I hate having to include potable fluids. Too much cola is really unhealthy and so heavy to carry around for 8 blocks, and the empty calories! gah! (and no, I couldn't find potable water bottles, only cola, light cola has aspartame and causes cancer... and it's also scarce).

Posted 11 years agoMan, it's burning up over here! but at least we are starting to get a few cloudy days. No rain though, none that I've noticed at least. Seems to me the worst part of the summer is over, or coming close to an end.

Realization about my scanner, what a relief!
Posted 11 years agoSo I needed to scan this receipt, that is of course printed, it has sharp letters and is in color. I scan it, and notice it comes out all blurry!. I try again on the other side of the scanner and it comes out just fine.
So! it's my scanner!, here I thought I was ultra messy on my pencil drawings; I mean I know I'm not theneatest guy, I always need do some digital clean-up, and digital inking, so it's not a big problem. But drawings always looks much worse on screen.
No wonder I can't take properly a cross hatched drawing to the computer!. I knew it sometimes added very strange yellow horizontal lines, except this is a whole additional problem. It's a bad thing, truth be told, I'm actually glad it's not my fault.
I may have to start photographing my drawings. It's not as sad as it sounds, honest. These two are photographs.

Starting early 2010 I had no access to a computer with windows xp 32 bit, which made it impossible for me to use my scanner. For 2 years or so during that period (because of depression and other factors) I wasn't drawing much. Last year, and some part of the year before last I did draw, and when I did, I took pictures of the drawings.
Almost by the end of 2013, I fixed the plug of a laptop that isn't mine, saved that person a lot of money, and now I can borrow it from time to time to use my scanner. It runs on XP because any other OS is too much for it to handle. I installed that too, it had vista, and it was a tad slow, I had to look for the drivers because the CD was nowhere to be found.
Things is, to photograph a drawing the sun has to be just in the right place. Or else you are gonna see specular highlights right on the graphite lines. To control this, I would have to stop using sunlight; I can't do this since I only have one flash gun, I'd need another one of the same model, at the same distance from the opposite side to get things right. Ideally with a soft-box or a photography umbrella.
Another problem is we have a gecko (not as a pet)... and in the past year it's gotten big (and loud), and the stupid thing craps on the walls. I hate having to... oh god... clean droppings off the walls. The idea of taping drawing to the wall is kind of gross now, I'm not gonna lie.
Well, time will tell. For the time being, I'll just resign and scan drawings that I know will be half blurry.

I'm kind of a social outcast, I don't know if it's frowned upon or anything.
Or on the other hand if the people feel offended by me not adding those images to my favorites.
If I were to do it now, they would be all in a row, lol. Like 5-7 submissions, no variety.
Many of the images that were in favorites are now gone, like poof. They do exist in my hard drive... some of them. I used to back-up with CD-R. Some data it reads after 10 years, some it doesn't. Some it takes forever, but it does it eventually and you can successfully save the file!.
But really, a lot of people have deleted some cool stuff. Like Vdisco, his gallery is now so tiny. His main character looks different too, or she is different character. I know she is not a dragon! there was this image of her complaining about being called a dragon, she is a lizard... I think, it's an image of the year... uhh... 2006? 2005?.
I think if I added to favorites a bunch a my things in a row it would look bad. But then I would have to look for submissions to put in between that are within my personal preference of character type, build, situation, expression, attitude, etc.
But I have seen too many very horrible thing here on FA to do image searches, oh no! I don't browse this website with images on! specially the main page. Yeah, SFW button, it's good, but sometimes submissions aren't properly tagged, or can be horrifying and still be SFW.
I think I'm gonna start doing it slowly, like two at a time, I see something that is in my personal preference that I could favorite, I do it, then I add some of mine.

christjackson for the unexpected, extended delay on the drawing, which has been done since 3 Am. Thanks for being so patient!. I really want to show it to you. I am happy with the results, but I get anxious when I can't get feedback, I worry like that...
But really... I slept so little... I just wanna sleep. But it has to wait until like 11 PM. My eyes are burning.
I just don't know what is the problem with the people in the country where I live, I genuinely lost all pride today. I try being reasonable, polite, nice, responsible. People here... they always want to take advantage of you, and don't miss a chance to be a big time jerk.
Holy... I just can't believe how things went down for me today, and it was through mail!, so this people are crap even over the Internet.
I really wish I could live in Canada, or a first world country. My mom (and TV, he he) raised me well, I was raised like a person from a first world country. I don't belong here...

During that time I did most of my drawings directly onto the computer, but after I could no longer do that, I got depressed and closed that gallery because I couldn't use that pipeline anymore.
I spent some time on IRC chats and talking to people, I kept telling them I had one gallery that was mostly male oriented and one (forgotten) that was mostly female oriented. Most agreed that I shouldn't do that. I should be taken as a whole, they guys and the gals that I draw. If I ever got harassed on either I should just report it.
So I came back to this gallery, because the process I started using again just reminded me of how I did things here, in 2006 and so.
Long story short (too late, tl;dr), I'm going to upload images from that other gallery I had right in here.
Just so you know, I also draw cool muscular looking guys, just sayin'.
I spent some time on IRC chats and talking to people, I kept telling them I had one gallery that was mostly male oriented and one (forgotten) that was mostly female oriented. Most agreed that I shouldn't do that. I should be taken as a whole, they guys and the gals that I draw. If I ever got harassed on either I should just report it.

Posted 11 years agoGah!, where I live it's pretty much always summer. NOW when summer time really arrives, it just becomes an oven.
Being inside is kinda hard, being outside with the hot sun is torturous. Best thing is to be in an open area under shade.

I finish drawings in some hours (6-10 hours for female characters, or characters with muscles that are undefined or have little definition), or at most three days per figure (extra time is because I make sure hands, feet and muscles are well drawn), I start working on them immediately once payment is received. You'll be notified of progress by notes or mail.
Figure drawing can include very simple props. Elaborate props (such as exercise machines) are additional. A character working out with a dumbbell can be done with no additional charge, a character running on a thread mill costs extra.

Payment is upfront in USD, once received, the artwork will be started. When using paypal, title of the payment must be neutral, do not mention the nature of the payment to paypal. I also accept amazon gift cards, since some people have problems with paypal, and at the moment I'm looking to buy a tablet.
Before any work is started full information on what is desired will be required. Once a drawing is done, alteration will be limited.
When finished, you retain rights of distribution, but credit for drawing, outlining and/or shading shall not be wrongly claimed by you, or anyone else. Artwork shall not be altered in ordered to claim credit. For example, if I draw something, and someone else inks (outlines) it, I must be given credit for the drawing, and the person who inks it gets credit for that. If I make a complete image, including drawing, outlining and shading, then all credit goes to me.
I won't do scenes depicting potential rape, pedophilia, chibi in mature or pornographic situations, tickling, bondage, characters wearing diapers. I won't do animal-looking genitals, even on bi-pedal characters. I don't draw feral pornography.
I can do nudity, and consented, voluntary sex. I have no problem with homosexual, bisexual, herm or trans-gender characters; or with sexual intercourse being of the same gender.

Payment is upfront in USD, once received, the artwork will be started. When using paypal, title of the payment must be neutral, do not mention the nature of the payment to paypal. I also accept amazon gift cards, since some people have problems with paypal, and at the moment I'm looking to buy a tablet.
Before any work is started full information on what is desired will be required. Once a drawing is done, alteration will be limited.
When finished, you retain rights of distribution, but credit for drawing, outlining and/or shading shall not be wrongly claimed by you, or anyone else. Artwork shall not be altered in ordered to claim credit. For example, if I draw something, and someone else inks (outlines) it, I must be given credit for the drawing, and the person who inks it gets credit for that. If I make a complete image, including drawing, outlining and shading, then all credit goes to me.
I won't do scenes depicting potential rape, pedophilia, chibi in mature or pornographic situations, tickling, bondage, characters wearing diapers. I won't do animal-looking genitals, even on bi-pedal characters. I don't draw feral pornography.
I can do nudity, and consented, voluntary sex. I have no problem with homosexual, bisexual, herm or trans-gender characters; or with sexual intercourse being of the same gender.
