It's been a while, I'm still alive, Life's just... been so obscenely hectic.
Taking on a bigger art project than I could chew outside of FA, then health emergencies in the family. Then I crashed and hit burnout, barely producing in '21, '22 and only somewhat having picked up some in '23. To vent my stress I delved into Destiny 2 and got a bit lost in that.
I've counteracted that, though.
And I think it's about time I get back in the saddle and posting art and streaming again.

First of all, no I did not get the corona light, sorry, store was sold out and the limes weren't ripe. It was just a springtime cold that I caught from mom because allergies and pollen bushwhacked her and I'm her caretaker. Over the cold now, and back on the arting. yey!
Quarantine hasn't been too hard on me, if anything the house has been pretty peaceful.
Just need to get some better sleep and get back on that art game. Already finished a fair few pieces, some of which you might have seen on picarto when I stream.
I'll be uploading those soon, so don't ya'll worry.
On a small note I'm no longer going to use DeviantArt for much more than favving art. I'm not entirely keen on what they're doing with the website, in fact I'm starting to strongly consider a Discord Server for my following.
But that feels quite the monumental task, so I'm gonna be thinking on that for a good bit.
Feels like every day good art websites are getting a bit more difficult to come by, but it'll make keeping track of everything easier.
Anyway ya'll take care.

Very badly sick
Posted 5 years agoI regret to inform ya'll that I am... very badly sick and fighting a cold and potent fever, I'm doing my best to keep the fever down... but it's very stubborn... thankfully my parents are helping me keep it down but it also comes with extreme pain in the low of my back which is making it difficult to sit for long periods of time....

The year's been a rough one, but I think it's gonna turn around and be smoother next year.

Been working on getting a website set up with wix, getting more stuff set up for my Redbubble. and just... all in all reclaiming my joy in arting.

Furry Weekend Atlanta
Posted 7 years agoYes, I'm a little on the late side, but better 12 days late than never.
So, after much deliberation, I and my mom have decided that it is very worthwhile to go to FWA again,
We ate well, practically spoiled, even, We slept well and despite some assholes, we got a lot of positive energy and good vibrations. The convention certainly went whole hog on the theme, even the... food court.. seemed like a rustic sci-fi asteroid market.

oh wait that wasn't intentional, oops.
Either way it was a fun time.
Didn't like being tagged like a wildebeast, or the longest lines I ever did see. to the point I ended up in the back of everything and I may as well hadn't gone cuz I couldn't see shit save for some vague motions, a little bit of fur floating in the black light and left the rest up to the imagination.
But it was... fun. talked to people I hadn't seen in a year, many hugs were felt and given, and hellos and goodbyes were heartfelt.
Wouldn't mind at all doing it again.
I do have some real doozy stories to tell though so if people are interested I could go into more detail.
Also for those of you whom commissioned me AT con, and received your commissions then, if it's not a huge trouble, could you please send me photos of the art I've done for you! I didn't get everything all that well, and what I did get, weren't in the highest quality of pictures on my phone.

I've gotten plenty of work to do, but... I'm on the way to getting a fully operational Tower completely suited to my purposes that isn't a complete downgrade or hand-me-down like I've been working with so far.
Dad's got me seated with a machine in the meantime so I can at least continue working on Digital pieces as well as traditional. So if all goes well, I can upload some pieces before too long. It also feels like a complete Star Wars moment where I'm looking at my father like "You were once the master, now I am the master!!" Since he'll be getting this computer back once I have the new one fully assembled and set up.
Also if you're coming to FWA, you should try and find me in the Artists Alley, where mom n I will be working most of the time as well as selling some of our originals and prints!
Thats all for now, thank you for your support and patronage through this crap, I do honestly appreciate it. And yeah, look forward to some art soon!

Emergency Commissions
Posted 8 years agoHello followers and friends, I have some unfortunate news I need to share.
My main machine that I've been working by has finally crapped out and cannot work anymore, the motherboard has given both my dad and I the flying fickle finger of fate. I wanted to wait a few days before making this journal just in case it was a small problem that could be fixed and I'd be on my way.
As if, right?
On the plus side, at least the hard drive with all the WIPs and Art is intact. On the down side, my wacom and any drivers downloaded to my laptop will not shake hands... so I can't work on any art via it save for maybe lineart and even that's iffy.
So I'm opening up emergency Traditional commissions to fund the creation of a whole new workhorse to exactly suit my needs as a digital artist-illustrator.
This includes but is not exclusive to Badges (I can do themes for upcoming cons, lamination and badge clip included), Bookmarks, ACEOs (in white and recycled paper) and originals.

Ain't No Reasonin' with Hurricane Season
Posted 8 years agoIt has been confirmed by them weathermen that Irma is going to bulldoze our sorry butts until we're bread dough.
I do not much appreciate being turned into bread dough, but as a toa of storms, I also know that nature likes to do crazy things....
like bulldoze people with weather until they are bread dough.
So, best bet, if you live in Georgia, Tennessee, or... well.. anywhere along the east coast or the belly of the US, prepare; get water, get food, get gas for your vehicles and generator, if you have one... and sit tight.
If I happen to go offline, and no one at all hears from me for a short bit, this is what happened.
Also, my thoughts and prayers go out to the people already getting slammed by the storm, and the people who are enduring the mess Harvey has made... Be safe, friends, I wish you well regardless of what the news or the political comics shell out to the public.
Hurricanes are not the time to be turning on each other, they are times to try and help your fellow man if you can... It's what compassion is all about.
This storm Shepard is clockin' out, maybe get some commission work done before the storm starts messing with the power.

I don't enjoy this disconcerting feeling of day in and day out wondering what happened to the people who commissioned me, paid, and I finish the work of, and suddenly they they go poof
like never heard from again level of poof.
I mean I know I don't know you guy but you ok o'er there? do you need a search and rescue party??
Some personal thoughts that kinda just niggle at me.
I don't enjoy this disconcerting feeling of day in and day out wondering what happened to the people who commissioned me, paid, and I finish the work of, and suddenly they they go poof

I will be roaming the Dealer's den, hugging fursuiters, and lurking in the Artist Alley.

If I can I wanna catch the FWA dance competition and see dat shiz in person.

like a scrappy little fireplug with dark blond hair and glasses that look scratched to hell. Usually hair is up in a bun.
Will you be suiting?
No, but if you insist I can pass as an NPC in Borderlands or a random pokemon trainer.
Do you do free art?
No.
Do you do trades?
Certainly, just ask!
Do you do badges?
Certainly! I'd have to finish and send them after the convention because I will not be taking my laminating machine with me. But feel free to ask regardless!

Handshakes and hugs are good, pats on the shoulder and back are nice too.

I accept money in return for Art. Art trades, maybe small cute things.

Hugs are nice, Snuggles are only for large furry fluff butts.

No I'm a big mean meany butt-- no I'm actually really nice and try to be super friendly.

No, not in the dealer's den but I'll try to get a spot when available in the Artist Alley

The only parties I shall attend are in my dreams. or the FWA dance competition.

Walking up to me saying "Hi Tropi" works amazing wonders. I'm the only person I know with my name.

Relax, draw a lot, catch up with some individuals, maybe make/build some friendships!
Updates on life, FWA and Car troubles.
Posted 8 years agoFWA (Furry Weekend Atlanta) is coming up, and I'm excited, getting things taken care of, I will be posting shortly a set of badge pre orders if you too are going to FWA or just like the concept behind them and want one for your own. They'll be in line with FWA's theme of Vidya games to some extent. but will be more based off of RPGs.
Life otherwise has been going well, I'm steadily getting out of a funk that came from no where that had me stressing over artwork, My Ref sheet for Tropico even got updated!
But my wrist has been gimping out on me more often, leaving me feeling like I have a spur or something from working too hard. I may have to assign legitimate days off in the future. Nothing too serious, just enough to give my wrists time to recoup or else I'll be making a wrist brace into a fashion statement.
I also may update my price sheet shortly. Some of the prices are out of date and I have better examples for many of the choices now.
Now to talk about a bit of a problem.
Our primary car, a Toyota Camry has just been announced to me as being officially dead. And it's going to take a lot to fix it... However it is cheaper than getting a new vehicle. No, our Blazer is just fine, but while the Camry is basically a Red Neck lawn ornament, my dad is using the Blazer to get to and from work.
So in the future if you see me posting PWYW (Pay What You Want) streams, all money done in stream will be going towards helping get the car fixed.
Alternatively, My mom,
