Moving.. :c
Posted 13 years agoI'm moving to Calgary. D:
My dad went to apply for jobs in Calgary on Monday, and ALL of the law firms ( he's a lawyer ) that interviewed him wanted him to work for them. Calgary pays a ton more for lawyers than Saskatoon does, and that's the reason we're moving.
The move will take place on the 27th of this month.. My whole family is stressed and nobody has wanted to rent our house yet ( we're renting out our house ).
This means I won't be on FA much anymore, so I'm sorry if you're trying to contact me, I'll be replying after the move. I just don't have time, really.
I'll be coming back to Saskatoon lots because all of my family and friends are here, so maybe I'll still get a chance to meet all the Sask furs I've wanted to meet for so long. I'll still chat with Sask furs, though, no worries.
So don't expect anything from me in awhile

I've Been Busy..

Sorry for the terrible lack of communication.. I've been SUPER busy lately (exams, family issues..) and I apologize if any of you needed to get a hold of me; I'll be replying when I can.
Well.. Bad news about my grandfather. In the past he was an alcoholic, which lead him to various (almost five) heart attacks in less than two years. A few months back, he went down south and stopped at a bar, got severely drunk, and drove his car home. He was put in jail until he was sober, and went to rehab and eventually court later on.
This Tuesday we caught him drinking again... And he drove his car, again. Who knows how long he's been doing it, though, because he goes down south more than twice a week (he's got friends and other family members down there). My grandmother won't talk to him, and badly wants to kick him out of the house. I don't know what to do.. He's been putting himself at too much of a risk. Nonetheless, he's got severe health problems, and if anything else happens to him, we all know he'll be very close to dying. None of my family can take this anymore.. It's not fair that we have to put up with this behavior; we don't need it. And he doesn't learn anything from it. My dad, whose a lawyer, is speaking with him every evening because if he gets caught again; he'll be going to prison for sure.
But on the bright side, my birthday's on Saturday, and I'm pretty sure I'll be recieving a nice new sewing machine. I've gotta head out to Regina this weekend because of a football game, but it'll help my birthday improve a bit more.
I recently found out one of my friends is cutting her wrists.. What a pleasant week I have had :/

Best. Time. Ever.
Not only was this my first convention, but there was another furry walking around, and he was absolutely a pleasure to chat with. It was supposed to be an anime/comic/gaming convention, but furries are always welcome, right?
Twas at the Saskatoon Inn all day long, and there was so many nice guest artists and speakers who hosted panels there. My thanks goes to all who dedicated themselves for this purpose.

Anime Convention on June 9th

Next weekend my city is hosting a comic book and anime convention, and I'm wondering, do any of you wear fursuits to conventions like these? I don't want to show up with a fursuit on if it doesn't really fit in.
I've never been to a convention before, and I was just hoping some of you guys might have any of your own experiences. It's a small con, like, last year there were only 30 people.. What do you think?
