Posted 14 years agoAs dramatic as we all know that statement to be, sometimes when things get to you and you take a hard look around and realise that a lot of your unhappiness is coming from something you originally thought as your happiness 'thing' (ie the fandom)... sometimes its hard to give a fuck what people think, especially when you think about chucking the lot in.
I'd love a fursuit one day!

I'd like a full body suit by someone like Arend Studios or the wonderfully talented
Loui , but like with so many furs, I sadly don't have that kind of expendable cash.
I guess I can hope for a lottery win ;)
If I was to get a fursuit, I would either get TR Wolf himself, as he's my only character really, or perhaps a bear, which may be better suited to my shape, I even have a name in mind ;)
But yeah, basically whenever I see some of my favourite fursuit performers on FA and at cons and furmeets, (such as

Sadness after seeing friends :(
Posted 14 years agoLately I've felt pretty sad after having seen friends, mainly because I want to spend more time with them but don't often get to see them.
For example, yesterday I went to Alton Towers with some friends, including my dear friend Herbie, and had a wonderful day, but after I went home I felt really really down because I like Herbie a lot, but due to him living in the USA, I only get to see him IRL very rarely.
And then today, I went to the Manchester Furmeet, and although I had a good time, I've come home feeling really quite down, as there's people who I'd like to spend a lot more time with, such as Latran, Gorfy, Murries, Burfdl, Ember and some others, as well as some people I never really got chance to sit and socialise with such as Dougal, Mercurial Monkey, Alek, Kryo, Shez, Wolfie, Lupestripe (and others), but who I'd like to socialise with more.
It makes me sad because as I say, I don't really get to see these people outside of furmeets, and furmeets seem to pass so quickly, so you have to try and spend a little time with everyone, and thus not much time with anyone really.
I'd love to see some of these people more. It makes me sad to spend a little time with them and then leave :(

1) I'm a massive Disney Parks fan.
2) My weight is not self-inflicted, I'm not someone who sits around eating cake and crisps all day, I have a blood-glucose problem meaning my body doesn't use insulin properly, and thus deposits weight on my frame. I've tried every possible weight loss you can imagine, they don't work, no matter how much people may wish to insist they must.
3) I've never visited Scotland, but always have wanted to. I have family up there too apparantly.
4) I do TV extra work, and have been in several UK TV shows and TV commercials. At one point I was the original version of JET2's mascot.
5) I do voluntary work for Oxfam. I worked at our local Oxfam shop until it was forced to close down, sadly.
6) I am married via a civil partnership to squire . We've been married since 2009 and together since 2002.
7) I've only visited 3 countries not including our own, 2 of which are in Europe. I intend to travel more in future though!
8) Love tea. Hate coffee.

1) I don't know why we still talk. We end up arguing a lot, bickering, and we have nothing in common. You're also not that nice a person and I find your personal choices questionable.
2) I think you're great, I'd love to hang out with you more but I know how much work takes your time up, but you're always welcome at our house :)
3) I know we've not always seen eye to eye due to conflicting personalities (which is ironic as we're so damn similar), and it's been a bit of a love-hate thing with us over the years, but I'd like for us to be friends again. Give it another go, come on :)
4) I still think you're a nice guy, and a good friend. We don't see each other so much in real life, and lately we've not been talking a lot online but I think that's due to you being busy with work. I also sometimes get a bit jealous that you seem to think higher of some people and not so much of me... if that makes sense?
5) I love reading your LJ and FA, and I think your fursuit and fursuit performance is awesome, it's just a shame we don't talk more either online, and have only ever talked once in person... we just never seem to talk at meets!

Sunday afternoons
Posted 15 years agoSunday afternoons have always depressed me. I have memories of sitting in the living room after having had a bath, and watching Antiques Roadshow or Last of the Summer Wine or something as a kid, and them leaving me feeling empty because the next day I had school, another whole week... the weekend was gone. So I never could enjoy those shows as they just reminded me of monday.
In adult life the same feeling on sunday afternoons but with the inevitable march towards work on monday again, for another whole week... the weekend gone. When I was at the height of my depression/anxiety/stress, I couldn't even enjoy Friday nights, knowing that soon the weekend would be over and it'd be another week again... sad eh?
And now, even though I'm not working at the moment, sunday afternoons still leave me feeling down knowing that it's too late to go out anywhere or really do anything, and so to just surrender to the glum sunday evening and inevitable arrival of monday and the week, where Im on my own so often, and often not with much to do (please no suggestions of 'things you can do').
So yeah. Sundays suck :(
