1. That underarmour that everyone has, what exactly does it mean? Like.. what should I wear, shirt and some sorta pants?

Posted 15 years agoo.o I'm not dead. Seriously... this is totally not a message from the grave. Feel sorta dead though, working a lot at work.. had sudden urge to sketch .. at three in the morning >_< I gotta get up for work at 830.. so.. yea. Back to bed.

I'm trying to get rid of it for about 500.00. It retails for over eight hundred and hasn't been used all that much. The only damage done to it at all is a light scratch on the plastic casing over the computer screen.
I really really love this computer, but I want to play SL and it doesn't have the dedicated video card.

I've been dealing with exams and final projects over the past couple weeks, most art has taken a back seat to class work.
Well, I'm in the home stretch, I have one big project due monday and then its art and working on my full fursuit! :3!

Suiting.. issues?
Posted 15 years agoI do not know where to start about this, but I have issues when I try to go suiting.
Its really weird, when I see others suiting around they always seem really relaxed and carefree. On the other hand, I'm extremely self-conscious of what I'm doing, but how my suit looks and how it stacks up to everyone else's...
It is just weird. Whenever I put on suit I don't feel any different. I always hear people say things along the lines of it sort of frees them, if you know what I mean.
I enjoy hanging out with friends in suit and stuff and I was wondering...
Anyone got any pointers? I don't know what the mental block is exactly.. but.. its frustrating. I feel like an idiot sometimes in suit, kinda like someone is watching me like 'wtf...?' Which is weird cuz its FURRIES I usually try interacting with.
I have interacting with anyone. I pretty much randomly initiate hugs and that's about it.
Anyone ran into issues like this? I dun have a clue what to do.
Someone mentioned an uncomplicated back story? My problem is that I get too involved with that and then I'd worry about some lik.e. set of strict guideilines i"ve set in my head.

FWA so.. what happened?
Posted 15 years agoMy first year at FWA and it was an interesting experience. Lets break it down:
Thursday I rode in with Alex Trefur
arbokx and it was a fun trip in. Did anyone else notice that between Titusville, FL and Atlanta, GA there are more than 24 porn and stripper signs? One stripper advertisement sign said "Trucker discount." I laughed my ass off and took pictures of most of them. The rest is cows and pecans..
There is nothing pretty about atlanta.. its just disgusting, I come from a rural area, and.. the city is just disgusting. It was congested, traffic was ridiculous and the signs made no sense. I have never in my life seen light pollution before.
Anywho, we got to the hotel (alive, yay!) and met up with one of our room mates tdiwolf and got up to our room. At some point the fourth roommate showed up while we were exploring the hotel. The fourth roommate was 
aragorn1 who I do not like and do not wish to room with ever again..
arbokx, tdiwolf and I went shopping for food at the local Publix (yes, I went to my place of employment on my vacation time) and shopped for food, which we brought back and put into a minifridge.
I spent the next couple days with food poisoning and so did one of my roommates. It took two days before we learned that the fridge didn't work properly.
Thursday night was the rave, and I took my new partial out for a spin, it was a blast! And then later I had homework D:. I hadda use the 13$ a day internet connection but didn't have enough money so I split the cost with tdiwolf and then found out that it was only for one computer and spent the rest of the weekend doing homework on his computer (sat night I said fuck it and got it myself).
Friday
Spent most of the day depressed, not sure why, went to opening ceremonies, connected with some friends, I dont really remember much from the con.. Got together with
onai-wolfwind and 
furbrications and got a chance to see Dr. Pepper. There was a mock fursuit games but I wasn't impressed. i spent the rest of the day trying to do homework but couldn't.
I got to meet someone really awesome, he's called Wakewolf!
Went to an SL meet and greet, boy am I a n00b. Lulz.
Saturday
Okay so the fun begins, I finally got a chance to see 2 The Ranting Gryphon, who didn't make it to Megaplex last year. I'm glad I go ta chance to see who he was. He's a funny fellow. I hung out mostly with tdiwolf and walked around some in suit and out. Half the day was homework though. Went to the rave for a bit, tumbled around in suit..
Got to hang out with
furnatic~! And found out someone I know lives close by! No more isolation for this wolfie! <3
Sunday
Last day of the con, saw Kage and 2 and laughed my ass off. I'm glad I finally got to see the tag team together.
Never bring Fruit Cake to Germany! <3
Got to meet my favorite artist in the history of artists!
zhivagod and it was awesome! She ran around in Korona for a little while and it was interesting to see my suit used by someone else. Dude, she's gonna be the GOH next year!

fen-fen and some others, whose names I forget... -Ear droop- and we got to go to the hard rock cafe and the rave and I performed fursuit surgery for hayze. ANd omg.. we went up 47 stories really really really fast... and down again.. OMG AWESOME. :3

Posted 15 years agoOkay so like... so much has happened.. Dad is in a regular hospital room now, they finally moved him from the ICU. He is still on medication and loopy, he should be home in about a month or so.
I SHOULD be going to FWA. I am working on a partial to use there... my full suit will not make it to this con, she wont be done.
Almost almost ALMOST caught up in school. Which means that as soon as that is done I will be able to work on old old old drawings that I owe people and finish some ref sheets.
I'll be looking for some clothes and making a tail for the fox, and I needa find a way to ventilate the head better but I'll be premiering Korona Suntail at FWA this year. :3!!!

Genius tablets
Posted 16 years agoI ordered an 8x6 Mousepen Genius tablet and I have had nothing but trouble with it since I got it this morning.
I JUST got windows7 to work with it.. Vista took a while too. I had to install it onto two computers. And I had to do it "Just right" to get the computers to recognize it. Pain in the ass. But it works very very well.. and I got it cheap because I needed a bigger surface space than my little Bamboo fun could give me. (Plus the mouse is actually ergonomic, feels better on the hands.)
Has anyone else had problems with Genius tablets?

For everyone concerned...
Posted 16 years agoSo, for everyone following the story and for those who are wondering why I fell off the face of the earth, this is what's going on. On monday Jan. 18th, my father was in a motorcycle accident and fractured the front of his pelvis and more or less broke is left butt cheek bone.. thing. And he's been reacting very badly to medication and thrashing around in the bed. Apparently he's been drinking without my grandma and I knowing about it. Um.. There have been two surgeries done so far, the first one was done the uh.. 20th and the surgery went okay but when they pulled him out from anesthesia he started to thrash around and re-fractured his hip and did some damage to the back.
They've been keeping him tied down and sedated because he's reacting so badly. The doctors are blaming it on alcohol consumption, dad's body doesn't metabolize it very well and it lingers or something. He's not an alcoholic by any means. They said that the same reaction woul dhave happened had he just had like.. one beer a day with his buddies.
But long story short, I've been home alone, cleaning the fucking house after he trashed it.. I've been going to work. Its weird, its like everything is automatic. Vebo has been coming to visit me and helping me put teh house back together. I am so fucking ashamed to live in this house with a pig for a father.
The doctor's did the surgery again on tuesday and it went well and dad's been taking to it well. They are going to have to keep him sedated for roughly two weeks before he can start therapy. Which could take at minimum, a month for him to get mobile again. Its just grandma, dad and I here and it make sit very very difficult on everyone.
I am currently tryign to catch up with everything I have been missing in class. I haven't been able to concentrate or anything long enough to do school work. My priority after that is to get started on commissions and art that I owe people (and there be a bunch).
I'm trying to get life back to normal and I'm worried I wont make it to fwa. I am going to make plans and hope I can go. I have a fursuit in the works that will be debuted at FWA. I am going to go regardless... I'm only gonna be gone three or four days, dad an grandma will survive without me. But I am going to be working on a fullsuit (my first one) and what not.. I have most of the foamwork done for it. Next step is constructing digitigrade legs and feetpaws.

EDIT: later int he year the doctor said dad's going to need a hip replacement, all of this is fucking great isn't it? We have no health insurance and dad was laid off from his job at the end of 2008 and has been unable to find another one. He's been trying to go to school to get another certification. He's an electrician and has a BA for it.

But long story short, I've been home alone, cleaning the fucking house after he trashed it.. I've been going to work. Its weird, its like everything is automatic. Vebo has been coming to visit me and helping me put teh house back together. I am so fucking ashamed to live in this house with a pig for a father.
The doctor's did the surgery again on tuesday and it went well and dad's been taking to it well. They are going to have to keep him sedated for roughly two weeks before he can start therapy. Which could take at minimum, a month for him to get mobile again. Its just grandma, dad and I here and it make sit very very difficult on everyone.
I am currently tryign to catch up with everything I have been missing in class. I haven't been able to concentrate or anything long enough to do school work. My priority after that is to get started on commissions and art that I owe people (and there be a bunch).
I'm trying to get life back to normal and I'm worried I wont make it to fwa. I am going to make plans and hope I can go. I have a fursuit in the works that will be debuted at FWA. I am going to go regardless... I'm only gonna be gone three or four days, dad an grandma will survive without me. But I am going to be working on a fullsuit (my first one) and what not.. I have most of the foamwork done for it. Next step is constructing digitigrade legs and feetpaws.

EDIT: later int he year the doctor said dad's going to need a hip replacement, all of this is fucking great isn't it? We have no health insurance and dad was laid off from his job at the end of 2008 and has been unable to find another one. He's been trying to go to school to get another certification. He's an electrician and has a BA for it.
