Hey guys,
I am in the process of changing my artist name. Once Anthrocon is over I'll be going over to the new name and the new account with that name. I'll leave my stuff up on this page at least for the foreseeable future as an archive of work. On the sites that allow a name change without a gallery change I've started using the new name. Working on a new website too!
Why am I doing this? Why not stay the same? Simple, I started using this name way back when I wasn't an artist by career and I hadn't thought ahead to the spelling of it. I literally just needed a user name for an e-mail on my very first computer. Now I'm going to go ahead and choose an artist name that I feel reflects me better and is much easier to spell correctly on a search. Hopefully this will help you guys find me easier on any site you may look for me on.
This isn't going to matter to the majority of you, and if it bothers some of you, I'm sorry. This has been something I've been wanting to do for years and I've finally just made the decision to do it.
I'll make an announcement when I've officially moved accounts and my new name you can find me by will be INKtiger or INKtigerart on various websites.

Hey guys!
I just wanted to let you guys know that the Question videos are fun and I'm going to try to make them a Bi-weekly thing! I am working on my current answer video but I'm having a few problems with my computer XP
As for the tutorials. I am doing my best to make them. I recorded a sketching video, however my cat showed up half way in and shoved a bunch of stuff of my desk and then my phone went off. I went back to watch the video and see if I could save it, but my computer recorded it very poorly so I think it's just a loss.
I am trying to make this happen! Gonna continue to try! Ugh!

Just thought I'd give you all a little update. We're having some troubles with our internet and while we're working on a solution, we aren't entirely sure what that'll be just yet. It's probably going to boil down to my internet being slow for a while, or I may disappear for a short time while we get some other service, we'll see what happens!

I've also got some changes coming up happening after Anthrocon this year that I'm really excited about, but more on all that later!
As for commissions, I am finishing up what projects I have currently going and I am most likely going to be starting up some experimental traditional INK artworks (been dying to do some of those) and a few YCH's to start off of. Why? Cuz sometimes I have thumbnails or little sketches of poses that I'd love to finish but I can't afford to take the time to do so, and thats one way to do it!

Okay I have finally completed all of my Take-home commissions from FC except for one. That one commissioner I have been unable to contact through e-mail, notes or shouts. They did not provide me with enough information for me to complete the commission without their input. Therefore I'll be refunding their payment minus a small shipping/money order fee (thankfully I do have the address they provided me, hopefully it's their actual address.)
I just wanted to state that I'll no longer be taking commission forms with a "I'd like to decide what I want and provide info later" condition attached. I can't waste time and energy trying to track people down for commissions, and I shouldn't have to.
That being said I'm going to be working through my wait list as much as I can before and after TFF. Then I'll consider how to proceed with commissions from this point onward.

Okay guys, I know I've been closed for a long time, and since starting to do take-home work from conventions (and you guys really grab those up!) It seems like I'm only open for commissions at conventions. Not entirely true but it has worked out that way recently, demand being bigger than I have ever anticipated it would be!
I am currently working though the last of my FC commissions and those who requested to be put on a very short wait-list from there will be done next. If I have time I may open for a few Badges before TFF. it's unlikely I'll be doing waitlists going forward, I just feel terrible forcing people to wait and it keeps me up at night. Yeah I'm loosing sleep over disappointing people, it's just who I am XP
That being said I'm re-thinking my commission process and I may do things a bit differently going forward. I want to try and have a little breathing room in my schedule to work on comic ideas I have banging around on the inside of my skull, I want to improve and simplify my coloring methods, I want to make tutorials for you guys who keep asking for them! And I want to be able to do more art for more people. These are my goals for 2016 and onward, and I'm going to try and think of ways to make them a reality

I want to make it very clear I AM NOT A TAX EXPERT!! But I'll share with you some things I've learned!

I've been doing self employment taxes for a while now, yay, me. Guess what? They suck and they are sooooo confusing. But I recently found this lovely video that helps explain a bit of what you should be doing if you are self employed and are doing your taxes.

For those of you who are just starting out or are thinking of becoming self employed artists, don't be too intimidated by taxes, their just a fact of life and one of the many headaches of owning your own business. You just need to be a little organized and remember to write down and keep receipts for your business deductions. You want those deductions, why? Cuz not only are you going to be paying 15% taxes like everyone else (depending on your tax bracket) you also have to pay another 15% self employment tax plus your state taxes unless you happen to live in a state where they don't have income tax.

ALSO! You need to be paying Estimate taxes. This is a "quarterly" amount that you send in 4 times in the year to help you pay what you owe instead of paying it all out at the end of the year. They call it quarterly, so you'd think it was spaced out evenly throughout the year but it isn't. You need to pay by the 15th of April, June, September and then January. There's a fine if you don't pay it this way or if your under pay how much you will owe and your self employed. Estimate taxes are generally figured out based off the previous year's income, there's more info about it here:

At any rate this becomes less scary the more you do it but it's always stressful and shitty. I'd pay an accountant to just do it for me if I made enough but if your like me and barely scraping by, follow these guidelines, stay acceptably organized and you'll be fine :D

OKay so I'm working through my queue as quickly as I can and thank you for your patience commissioners! One thing I have been asked for repeatedly is tutorials. I don't think of myself as a good teacher so half the time I can't explain why or how I do the things I do but I'm willing to give it a shot if I can get my computer to behave (tigerbomb is somewhat temperamental in his old age).

I'm thinking these would probably be best done as videos, given not everyone can make a stream at the same time. And given that I won't be getting paid for these, I'll have to work them in when I can, so there probably won't be a set schedule of when these come out. Still there's an interest and I'm willing to give it a try.

My question to you all is:
What tutorials are you looking for? What do you want to see that I do? Keep in mind I use Manga Studio 5 aka Clip Paint for my work so if you want to learn Photoshop don't look to me for that.
Yeah, if there's something you want to learn and I think I may be able to help with that, go ahead and request it. I'll see what I can do!

I am back from FC and I had a great time there! Seriously it was a total blast, and being away from the snow and ice for a while was a much welcome change!
I want to thank everyone who stopped by my table, you were all super awesome and nice and I loved meeting each and every one of you! And thank you to my friends for keeping me going and not drawing things on my face when I passed out from exhaustion from working all night.
A HUGE thank you to my friend  TraceWolf for keeping me fed and making sure I was okay throughout the con, seriously man, I fricken owe you big time! And to my new buddy  casidhevixen for also keeping me fed and company and the drive to the airport! Your both super awesome!
I seems the long weekend working long hours and all the prep beforehand going into it has completely destroyed me so I'm going to rest up a bit more before I dive right back into work. I am hoping it's just fatigue and not con crud rearing it's angry head, I am literally nodding off as I type this right now.

I am back from MFF and I had a great con! I have a pile of take-home commissions I will be doing my best to bang out before I head off to FC in a month. Yikes! So much to do and not a lot of time to do it all in!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by my table and talked with me, you all rock! I will be out of town this coming weekend for a holiday party but I'll be bringing my portable tablet and work along with me and working as much as I can around the festivities, I don't want to keep you guys waiting any longer than is absolutely necessary after all.
I expect to be super busy for the rest of December and January and then I'm planning to open up a few commission slots in the spring time FYI.

Yes I am on Furry Network, testing out the beta waters and so far I'm loving it! The ability to filter out content by tags that I don't want to have to look at without unwatching an artist is FANTASTIC! It makes me stupid happy for reals.
