Yeah so sorry for those who watch me, I've been pretty much nonexistent here. I had some rough patches but things are getting back in order. I also wasn't sure if people liked the way I did things, posting partial musical sketch updates, but then I realized that was dumb because doing that is how some of you found me at all. I've been infinitely more active on Tumblr but I'll get back to posting here.

Right now I'm working on a soundtrack for Heuris, a shmup that's set to be on Wii's arcade thingy before possible expansion to PSN and XBLA. The finished tracks from it, and other things I've done, I'll put up and keep the regular schedule I do on Tumblr so you can hear how that's going. The deadline for my music is the end of the month but I don't know when the game would come out.

Commissions are closed until I get things back in an orderly fashion but once I finish the album and do one other outstanding commission, I'll open up while getting back into the groove of things.

If you've stuck around hoping to hear more from me or you forgot I was on your list, thanks either way. I hope to put out some pleasing content for you pretty soon.

so, i was wondering... what style is my music?

not genre... rock versus rap versus techno versus trance... though you can use that if you need to. but maybe there's a certain cue, a certain thing you hear constantly. instrument, a way of handling fx, anything. when you hear my stuff, what do you think about, what do you feel?

that last one is a pretty highbrow question, sorry about that. but... when i listen to most of  kaelis's music... i feel it's his music is something that would find a home in my car as i travel across state lines, just as easily as i'd be listening to it at home and actually looking for theory elements. it's smart, but cool... i've come to call his usual style "groove salad."

something like that is what i mean. it's not a serious thing, and i'm not gonna suddenly change the way i do things, but i'm genuinely curious if you listen keep coming to something.

so, alright.

i'm working on album, "the runic ep." 4 tracks [i think] with as many b-sides. i learned quite a bit from the release of "album xero" when it comes to how i should go about things, but i know i need a lot more looking things up before i'm ready to quit wal-mart.

so that's that. expect more music posted soon, as well as album art, as i start burning through these tracks.

there's someone i watch who writes a crapton behind a picture. and that's fine and good for them, but i don't think everything deserves a crapton of words of description. sometimes, i want people to figure things out, to hear what they want. i like to think that some people are smart enough to 'get' it.

and then, not everything is meant to be a great opus. sometimes, i just make music to work on technique and hear different sounds, and get myself some tools for the better things.

but i've not been writing many descriptors. so i ask again: do you care? i don't mind doing, saying what i'm working on.. but i'm not going to bother if the listener doesn't care. i don't have to write everything down HERE for my own benefit; there's Fruity Notebook for that.

i changed the cd cover art for the tolaria project, and now my whole gallery is dark. the previous art was all rainbowy, giving my gallery some color. might as well redo my random music picture, to give it some variance.

also, no music is final unless i say it is and it's on a disk.
