Wow...can't believe it's been over a year since the last time I posted a journal. But it's really been that kind of year anyway. ^^; I'm not very superstitious about the number 13. For example, I usually tend to have a better than normal day on friday the 13th. But as far as the year 2013 goes, that has not been the case.

Also, for those of you who actually chat with me regularly on IMs, I do apologize. I feel bad that I've been so erratic and practically nonexistent for long periods of time. It also didn't help that my internet was acting up for the last month or so and my work hours are the worst around the holiday season. Hoping I can be online a bit more, at least after this holiday week is over (got a different modem exchanged about a week ago).

Anyway, hope everyone has happy holidays and a great new year. I know I'd rather forget about 2013, minus one or two good things that happened. Depending on how the new year starts, we'll see. Maybe next year will be different, who knows? ^^

So, it's been almost two weeks since I moved into the apartment, and now I finally got the internet back last night. Hard to even remember that we ever went without internet years ago, but going without it for even a few days now drives me nuts. >< lol

My friend from high school's wedding went pretty well. It's nice to see a buddy happy and doing well. The funniest moment during the ceremony was exchanging the rings. He and his wife were so nervous that they both were putting the rings on the wrong fingers. X3 But at least they've got something they can go back and laugh about together. :P

Glad I could be there for 'im. He joined the military after college, so we hadn't seen each other in a while. So we hung out at a sports bar the night before the wedding and just caught up with each other. We told so many crazy stories that night that I... sort of took a chance and came out of the closet. Not exactly something I planned to do to my straight friend the night before his own wedding, ^^; but he took it surprisingly well. So that meant a lot.

Anyway, things are finally calming down a bit and now I'm just trying to finish unpacking more stuffs. Meanwhile, I'll be trying to go through a bunch of new submissions.

It looks like I'm finally going to be moving into my first apartment. Tomorrow morning, actually. X3 I'm so happy and anxious all at the same time. It's crazy. I'll be without internet for a little while, but I'm supposed to be getting a do-it-yourself-kit in the mail Saturday. So we'll see how it goes...

Was going to mention this earlier this week, but the website... Anyway, hope to be back soon. I got a wedding that I'm supposed to be in (best man) the following Saturday. But after that, I'm hoping to have more free time to get back to some more drawing again.

Just recently,  lightning1109 has started a group for  Cross-foxes-of-FA. And no, it's not a group for combined species of foxes. They are their own individual species. I'm not even sure if I'd heard of the breed before.

But just based on an image like this, you can tell they're a beautiful species.

Even though I'm no cross fox, just thought I'd spread the word and help 'em out. :P

Summer this year has been brutal. It was bad enough it seemed to hit a month too early. I'm not surprised by the three-digit temperatures. And I can even expect the heavy rain and thunderstorms. Heck, we even got a random hail storm a several weeks ago that caused havoc damaging peoples' cars and other property I'm sure. But the unrelenting humidity is driving me nuts. Can't wait for the fall season to hurry up and get here.

Sorry, had to vent about the weather at least once before the season's over.

So I haven't really taken a break from my job in almost a year. Since I have plenty of paid time saved up, I decided to take all of next week off. Probably should use the time to relax, but I'll probably spend it doing a little packing and some serious apartment hunting. XP And at some point, I'll be out of town for a few days, visiting someone.. *blushes*

Anyway, just wanted to let the few who chat with me often or occasionally know that I might not be online as often next week. That's all

Just wanted to say to everyone, even if I don't reply to every comment, thank you for all the watches and faves. To anyone who's been watching me for my drawing, you're probably wondering why I haven't posted much in a long time.

The truth is, 2011's been a rough year for me so far. For some reason, even though it's been tough, I actually feel more determined than ever. Maybe it's a stubborn streak in me or something, I dunno. Also, I've just been very busy, but I've decided now that I'm still going to make time for things I enjoy doing, like drawing. I know I'm still not very good and admittedly, I really haven't been too happy with anything I've drawn so far.

TL;DR

So in the meantime, before I post any new art of my own, I will try to occasionally commission artists who actually know what they're doing. :P Also, I've been more active on Inkbunny the last couple of weeks and intend to stay that way from now on. I will at least start posting some of my old art there.

As for the naughty cub art that I previously posted here, unfortunately, I no longer have the finished digital versions. I almost forgot, but I actually still have the old sketches. Would anyone still like to see them? If so, let me know and give me a shout over at IB, and I'll post 'em there.
