Life Update
Posted 7 years agoHey, everyone!! Hope you're all having a great night. Realized I haven't posted anything here for a long time so I thought I'd let people know how I've been. It's gonna be a loooong journal, but if you read the first sentence of each bullet point, you'll get the gist of it.
- First of all, I recently got a new Graphic Design job closer to where I live with MUCH better pay. It's nice to see my hard work paying off between 2 years of college and having low paying jobs since graduation. ;; Business has been slow, but they said it's typical for the summer months. I hope I can eventually bring in some headphones to help with my focus and combat the quiet.
- Mika (my corgi) was diagnosed with some type of liver disease back in May. The doctors don't know exactly what is wrong unless we were to do a liver biopsy, which may cost around $3,000 - $5,000. The news really sent me in a downward spiral and I suffered through a bad depression for awhile. Luckily, my vet is amazing and has been working with specialists to put Mika on a new diet and daily meds, which have DRASTICALLY improved his condition! He's also acting happy and healthy, so that's made me feel WORLDS better. The money from my new job helps me cover the costs of his new lifestyle and I'm doing my best to stay positive!
- Last month, I was in a car accident. I came out with minor injuries, but my car wasn't so lucky. The money I got from the junkyard covered my ticket and towing bills - so that was a relief. After doing some research, I decided to take out a new loan on a 2015 Toyota Corolla, which has been a life saver in gas millage! This car will pretty much pay for itself....eventually. :,D
- My dad is selling his house. He's had it for about 11 years (bought it after my parent's divorced), so it'll be sad to say goodbye. We have a ton of memories there and I still go visit him about once a month to hang out. Him and my step-mom plan on building their dream home on a patch of land they bought a few years back, but in the meantime, they'll be renting a house.
- New friends!! I finally decided to join some different chat groups online with people who have similar interests and it's been amazing so far! :D It's so nice to have people that I can geek out with about my current obsessions. It's really been filling that lonely feeling I've had for awhile. Also - made some great friends since I've opened my Twitter account! Hope to get to know them better over time. ^^
- Old friends! I have different friend groups for each part of my life and there's never really been any overlap. However - I did try mixing things up with my birthday party, and it went great! I'm really lucky to have the friends I do. Big shoutout to those who have stuck with me this year, despite all of my lows. BIG thanks to
&
for cheering me up with our sleepovers, art trades, deep conversations, and daily positivity! I couldn't have pulled through without you guys. <3 My life is SO much better with you two in it.
That's about all! I'm gonna try to upload my main pieces of art from this last year onto FA, so sorry if you see a lot at once. ^^' I'll also make a journal about future cons and such (FM coming up soon!!). Anyway - peace out!

Anime Detour!
Posted 8 years agoIt's that time of year again! My friend and I are heading to Anime Detour tomorrow! Can't wait to see my friends and all the amazing cosplayers. X3 Last year was amazing, so I'm hoping this year will be too!
Whisper and I will be doing our Sans/Alphys cosplay again. Otherwise, you can find me running around in my fursuit or Umagon kigu.

Surgery Update
Posted 9 years agoSooooo knee surgery went well. The doctors and nurses were very kind and did their best to make me feel comfy, even though I was pretty nervous. ^^' The only other surgery I've had was my wisdom teeth taken out. The whole procedure only took an hour and they brought me a Coke and graham crackers to eat afterwards. :,D My mom took the day off to drive and watch over me.
Feeling really tired from the anesthesia and pain medication, so I think I'll be sleeping most of the day. Can kinda hop around, but walking is difficult. Just wanted to post this so my friends knew I was ok. ^^ Probably won't make the MN Furs Holiday Party sadly, but I hope everyone has a good time!

Helpless...
Posted 9 years agoWill probably delete this, but I thought it might help to get some things off my chest.
I'm sorry to all my friends who I've let down. I'm not here to make excuses, but I can't be everywhere at once. My best friend invited me to a sleepover party at the Science Museum this Friday, but I told her I didn't have the funds to go, as I've been saving up for another friend's get together this Saturday. She hasn't spoken to me since. Not sure what I did wrong...
Another friend surprised me with tickets to see the Game Grumps live (this YouTube duo I've been following for the last 4 years). Unfortunately, the show is the Saturday of MFF. No matter how many scenarios I run in my head, there is no feasible way I can swing both, so I had to cancel the con. This puts my group out another roommate, so now they have to pay the costs.
Drama between my dad and aunt from 3 years ago is starting to resurface. She's coming over for Thankgiving and I just pray that everything goes well, but now I'm gonna have anxiety all the way until after the Holiday is done with.
On top of all this, I'm falling behind at work and drowning in a sea of projects. If it weren't for my kind boss, I would have probably broke down.
All I ask is for people to be patient with me and remember that although my decisions may not be what you like, I have feelings too. This isn't directed at any one person.
Anyway. That's all I wanted to say.

FURSUIT PHOTO DUMP
Posted 9 years agoSo I've noticed that I haven't posted many pictures of my fursuit (I've just been favoriting pics that others have posted - oops). THEREFORE - over the next week or so, I'll be uploading many, many, many pictures from over the last year (including FM '15, picnics, holiday photoshoots, bowling events, Anime Detour, etc.).

Pokemon Go!

I'll start -
I'm only level 7 so far. Team Mystic for the win! Started out with Squirtle and have 25 (uniquely caught) Pokemon in my Pokedex so far. Hatched my first 10km egg today that had an Abra inside! ^^
My funny story - and I were walking around our local park playing GO for the first time when PAsTe noticed a hot air balloon (which is odd, because we've never seen one in our town before). All of a sudden, we both pointed to it and exclaimed "TEAM ROCKET!!" XD The 12 other players around us weren't amused but we thought it was pretty funny. C:

MN Furs Spring Picnic
Posted 10 years agoI had so much fun suiting at the MN Furs Spring Picnic! It was my first time going and certainly not my last. :3 I met so many awesome people there and I wish we could have stayed longer. Some highlights:
- My travel buddies, paste_the_fox and

- TAIL CHASE with
rebelpup
- Goofing around with maplelefa50 and her Pikachu that kept getting stolen
- Chatting with
thepoetryninja and listening to that gorgeous accent
- Meeting
pixelcorgi Wish we could have talked more. She was so sweet!
- Hanging out with innouva, which is always a good time. :3
