Posted 11 years agoWe get the car fixed, running better than ever. And then the landlady slaps us with a new rule list.
Late rent payments will incur a $5 per day late fee. (Instead of the $25 flat rate she used to charge, and she's doing this *all* against the laws)
Children are only allowed to play in the "designated area"
(Which is a broad area somewhere in the back of the park that has no shade, no toys except a horseshoe pit, and is filled with noxious weeds)
Anyhow, since we had to pay rent late last month, using *this* month's money (which we get only once per month), We are not able to make rent this month at all and are facing eviction at every turn.
Note: we would not be living here if we had any other choice at this time. The place is unsafe, filled with drug addicts and sex offenders. We have no running water, or sewer. The only things we have are the parks' free wi-fi and electricity. Our phone will even be shut off after the 6th.
We need out, but until our fortunes turn we are dead in the water. We are running out of options. We have accessed all the governmental assistance that is available in this area short of getting me on SSI.
I'm still not able to work and it's bothering me. My mate is looking for work and has completed college to improve his prospects, but it's going to take some time.
Art is the only thing I can do reasonably reliably with my conditions.
If I can manage to get a printer and ink I could sell prints, but to do that we need more/better income.
I am asking anyone who watches me to pass this along, help us out. Commission me, I will give my all to save my family from having to live with no electricity. I will even allow adult work with my character if I must.

Posted 11 years agoCar killed yet another battery. We have $25 to our name, and groceries we need to get (Milk, bread, etc. Stuff we go through a lot of).
We're already facing eviction on the second. I just want to go die in a hole somewhere. Maybe it'll be cooler.

Help my Father-In-Law come home
Posted 11 years agoPawpaw wasn't perfect. He had bad days. But he raised his only son to be a good, strong and kind person. He would give the shirt off his back in the middle of the winter if someone needed it, even though he had almost nothing of his own.
He never wanted to burden others with his pain, so his death came as a surprise to everyone. Everything he owned was given to people who needed it.
His ashes are being held at the mortuary where he was cremated until his family can gather the money to pay the fees. His step daughter is trying, as are we, but supporting ourselves has been difficult enough as it is. And we know that he wouldn't mind... but how long must his remains stay in a cold, sterile place?

Posted 11 years agoWhat?I still have Adoptables available, and if they are just out of price range, I will be offering some more in the next few days at a lower price (Without the stats).
I am also open for commissions,
The commissions tab has most of my prices.
I *can* do mecha, I charge $150 for a ref sheet due to complexity and research time.
I will also be offering sketch commissions (again) for $5.
I will not draw "mature" Cub, but if it's general I don't mind.

Why?We need another $45 for our phone, which needs to be paid by tomorrow. As it's our only method of outside communication besides the park provided internet (which cuts out often) it's rather important for us to keep it up.
Rent needs to be paid by the 16th. It's $300 for that. This is bare minimum.
To explain: Kage's college took its toll on our funds, badly.
Thankfully he will be done with College this month, and hopefully that will help us get a better job than is usually offered around here.
Anything helps at all, And even if you can only offer me a couple dollars I can do *something* for you in return.
If somehow we can get a bit more than that, our daughters' 6th birthday is later this month as well, and I would like to get her at least one present.

Emergency $5 Sketches (Update X2)

So Murphy or that green eyed Lady called Luck has it in for us. Kage is one class shy of finishing his college degree, but we cannot get federal funding to help cover the cost. The remainder must be paid for by Thursday or he gets dropped from the class, cannot complete his degree, and we'll be in the hole at least $20,000.
In order to pay for the class we have to use rent money.
Thankfully rent isn't due until the 16th, so we have some leeway.
However, we will need $195 by the 16th of this month. So I'm continuing the $5 sketch marathon, and I will be adding full color one character commissions for $25 each.
If I gather ANY interest I am willing to do a YCH auction with any of *my* characters. I will throw up some images of them during the next couple days.
We have been trying many outlets, but I don't want to just *ask* for money. I need to feel like I'm paying people back somehow.
I offer full quality art as well, though those take longer than a day.

Why? Our fridge blew up, we lost all our food and I almost lost my insulin. We have no money until Sunday and we *need* to eat something. Also out of gas, and I rather don't fancy the three mile walk just to the fueling station. The nearest grocery is 7 miles away.. So yeah.
$5 gets you a sketch commission done TODAY as I sit here. One, or two characters, might add in a little color if I can.

Also, an R rated movie when you're 29 is really no biggie. Now, if it said "Watched an X rated movie" that's worse.. or "Watched an X rated movie with other people in the room" or "0 with people of the opposite gender" ...

Another series
Posted 13 years agoI'm considering posting some more art under a series called "Another Time and Place." or ATaP for short. Basically it's things that could happen given the right circumstances. Things that are not quite cannon in my and my character's worlds, but might have possibly happened if life had not taken the path it did. Also, things that may have happened in the past which makes me who I am today.
Many of the submissions would be Mature rated.
I am naturally hesitant to post "pr0n" of my character, because to me it seems rather like giving a glimpse of something meant to be personal and private... which is why all the pron I've done of her and her mate are being kept in my sketches unfinished and un-scanned.
However, I have the feeling that posting things that aren't an ongoing situation would be barely skirting that description.
So long as I can get the use of a scanner that isn't my father's... I don't care that he and I have been more open to each other in recent years. There are some boundaries you DON'T cross with certain people.
As an aside, the reason I've been considering this addition is squarely placed on
LabrnMystic's shoulders.
Never call me innocent. Sweet, yes. Innocent is construed as a challenge.
Challenge Accepted.

Why did you choose this name?: I took my name, found the meanings, then found the word for those meanings in Japanese. Basically, if I were to go to Japan, that's what I'd want people to call me.
What is your character?: A purple dragon type. Even if she does have hooves most of the time, she shape shifts and can have claws if she wants.
Why did you pick that for him/her?: Because of my dreams as a child and growing up. I often dreamed I was a two-headed purple dragon who could shapeshift. I did RP as that a few times, but I've come to realize that the two-headed form was just a symbol of my bi-polar disorder, so she evolved along with my understanding.
Does your character have any super powers?: I guess so. Since she's based off of myself and my dreams she has many of the abilities I do there. She tends not to use them often, however, since the use drains her. She's not truly god-like... She could be killed if she got shot, but since she can turn energy into any other kind of energy that's not likely to happen. For example, the stored kinetic energy that propels a bullet through the air can be turned into heat energy, thus melting the bullet and only sending heat through the air.
She's not particularly weak to ice, but she can't transform it because it slows molecules resulting in less energy. Basically cold is lack of energy and she can't transform something that isn't there.
Umi can shapeshift too, but again she rarely does it. She has a human form, a "feral" dragon form, and her normal anthro form.
She can travel to alternate dimensions thanks to a tower that she inherited. Another aspect from my dreams...
She does have an alternate personality who is more likely to use the powers. Oni Umi is what I call her. She's very kamikaze. Whatever she sets her mind on, she'll go for. She's totally illogical and is fully based on the ID. What she wants right now she'll go for even if it hurts her.

First I had a two-headed purple dragon character, and a human character with wings, a tail, and hoofed feet (Succubus anyone?). Oh, and Oni Umi is a throwback to her two-headed days of course.

LAYER ONE : THE OUTSIDE

- Eye Color: Blue/grey

- Does age matter: I used to say no, but nowadays the generation gap is SO huge. I can barely find anything to talk about with someone who's 18, but I can get along with people who are in their 40's, and ppl in their 60's are hard to understand sometimes unless you watched Bonanza. (lol)
For naurties, yes age definitely matters.

- Best personality: Laid-back but passionate about some things, with a sense of honor, and humor. And someone who realizes that no-one is perfect so can forgive others for problems.

- Best hair color: Brunette, though I have a fondness for frosted hair on a guy.
