My, my, my how times have changed
Posted 11 months ago Well, I can honestly say that I never thought I would ever come back to this site. Social media was just an easier route to posting and maintaining but recently I have been thinking about all the time I spent on here and kind of miss it. My last journal entry was 8 years ago and a lot has changed since then. I wont bore you too much with the details but a few things are I got married, my lovable kitty cat companion of 17 years passed a few years ago due to cancer, I have two lovely dogs and two adorable kitty cats and we bought our first house out in NV. Needless to say it has been a wild ride and I would like to come back to having some sort of gallery without the craziness of social media. I will still post things there but would really like to focus my efforts on growing this community again.
Ultimately, my goal is to become more self sufficient and dive more into the creative space of running my own art business. I have always had that goal and now feel like I have the time, skills and dedication necessary to start that goal off. I will be posting here for commission openings and I will be accepting them through Vgen, the link can be found on the front page, the header and footers of my journals, also in the footer of my submissions. Any questions regarding commissions or commission types can be asked through notes here or through DMs on my twitter. I prefer to keep my telegram reserved for close friends.
My merch link is posted in the personal site box on the front page. It is all stuff I have created and hope to have another line coming up here soon. Been busy figuring out everything else but I would like to get back to adding more merchandise to the store and different designs. I have also considered opening up a KoFi to sell premade bases, lineart, and reference sheets but that will most likely be coming some time next year when I have the time to dedicate to making them and getting them posted. For now, merch can be found on my store.
My patreon is a little newer and is still a WIP but we DO have a sticker club. I am currently working on the new design for December as we speak and that will be shipped and mailed out probably in the next week or two. Since I have the ability to print and cut my own stickers, I do not have to rely on manufacturing and shipping times during the holidays which is nice. My ultimate goal for that is to have the sticker club up and running smoothly and I would eventually like to offer a enamel pin club as well. Once I have more set aside, I would like to get that one rolling as well.
Now that my plans and goals have been outlined I hope everyone has been well and I hope you all have had a great many a holidays in my absence. I appreciate everyone who stuck around and kept following this old introverts page even through the sporadic posting. I truly appreciate all of you, new and old and I cannot wait to have a new adventure starting in 2025.

General
Thank you for your consideration of commissioning me! Please read through this thoroughly before submitting a request.
- Before you commission please read through this thoroughly.
- You MUST agree to the terms and conditions listed here. If you have any questions please reach out and ask.
- You must be 18 years or older to commission. I will not work with minors for the protection of myself and clients involved.
PAYMENTS
-Payment plans will NOT be accepted for items under 150. Anything over that amount will be discussed between both parties via DM or email. Whichever the easiest form of communication is for the commissioner.
-If an unjustified charge back is issued without discussion with Desertkuri, we reserve the right to appeal the charge back with evidence and will automatically black list you as a commissioner.
REVISIONS
-You will get up to 5 revisions per commission and will be asked at each stage of the process up until the flats. After the flats are completed, it will be assumed that all corrections you would like to make will be complete.
- After the 5 if you do need any additional changes, it will be expected that each change will cost 3
DEADLINES AND DELIVERY
-I do NOT usually work with deadlines. I find I work best and have better time management when there is not a time crunch.
-Rough estimate for commission completion time is 2-4 weeks
-If you do have a deadline for a con, birthday, ect. There will be a +50% of the commission price for the rush fee added onto the commission.
Age restrictions:
-Desertkuri will NOT work with anyone under the age of 18 for legal purposes. This policy is put in place to protect the safety of both parties involved.
-no exceptions will be made. We are not trying to be rude but there are legal issues surrounding the sale and working with a minor. If we are suspicious of age we will request a photo of a legal ID. You may block out your real name and other personal information EXCEPT for the date of birth.
USE
- You may use your commission for whatever you please as long as there is no monetary value involved. (I. E. Stickers, merch, etc.)
-If you wish to purchase the commercial rights to your piece to be sold it is something we can discuss privately.
- I will NOT consider royalty payments. The rights MUST BE PURCHASED outright.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
-Desertkuri owns the rights to all art pieces completed and can freely post finished products on their own social media, advertisements.
-Desertkuri does NOT claim ownership of characters commissioned. The commissioner has every right to freely post their finished product wherever they would like. Credit is NOT required but appreciated.
-If the commissioner would like to make merchandise or anything for profit it MUST be discussed with Desertkuri BEFORE any transactions take place. I am more than happy to sell the rights to the project for a fair price.
REFUNDS
-Desertkuri reserves the right to issue a refund if a client is harassing, bullying, or other inappropriate behavior that desertkuri deems included.
-If a project is started, Desertkuri reserves the right to keep any amount of monetary value for work completed as compensation. You will receive whatever desertkuri has completed and the rest of the payment will be returned to the commissioner.
-Commissioners are also able to request a refund and refunds will be issued on a case by case basis. Usually a refund will be provided but special circumstances may play a part hence why we have stated that commissioner based refund requests will be discussed on a case by case basis.
COMMUNICATION
- Initial communication will begin after payment has been made. Once the initial communication is complete, it will be limited until your commission is started
-Once your commission is started, I will do my best to communicate at least twice a week. I work a full time job along with taking these commissions.

Life
Posted 9 years agoWell, who knows how long it's been since I made a journal. 9 months or something. I've been working nonstop for the most part. This job has sucked the fucking life out of me and occasionally I'll have time for a commission or two, or even drawing in general. I feel like I've distanced myself from friends and they don't really talk to me anymore. Could be finals week and that they're just busy but it's just little things that I notice that bother me. Anyway, enough stupid rant session, here are some things I'm working on.
-Some small novel/fanfic/background story of Ryhan and Daryl.
-Some drawings here and there
-moving
-ect. That's pretty much it really. I would like to draw more so if anyone is interested I'm open for some small commissions. Either sfw or nsfw just to keep me still drawing. Hope you all are good.
