It was suggested that I post some of my stuff I worked on between the last time I posted and now in scraps, so I think I'm going to do that. A lot of it is probably going to be unfinished stuff from like 5 or so years ago, so don't expect too much. I'm curating it a little though, so the really sloppy terrible stuff wont be in there. I just want to toss something up for anyone who was curious. There's a couple dozen pieces worth of art, so try not to panic when you see me throwing up a lot out of nowhere.

I guess I could give a little overview of what happened, but it's mostly just going to be me saying "Life is rough" again or something like that. Which is true, but boring. I will say that during late 2016 or so I tried to start drawing at least an image a day and did so for 4 months. I improved a decent amount, but burned myself out hard, and then only picked up a tablet pen like once a month after that. So I feel like I ruined whatever good work I did before my burnout. This is on top of the other life stuff I mentioned, obviously. It was a combination of a lot of things that made me vanish and it was a combination of a lot of other things that made me come back. I almost died. The universe is wild sometimes.

Also, 2016 was 6 years ago and that scares me so much.

P.S. Can anyone explain folders to me? Are these things new? I don't remember them, does anyone actually use them for stuff, because they might be useful if they're good.

So it's been 6 years since my last post? Sorry about that. Honestly, it's been way more since I was "active" though, to be fair. I don't really have much of an excuse either, really sorry.
I've been around but not posting anything. I've also been lucky to draw anything more than once every 6 months or so for the last 6 years, so I'm more or less about where I was when I vanished...
In terms of why I vanished, that's sort of complicated. It was a combination of life and a ton of other issues. And even when that stuff was over I wasn't sure I could come back. I've been posting in random places for a bit, but I've always been really nebulous so it's never really been easy to find any of my work anywhere or ever follow me. But I think I might want to change that this time. I think I might make an effort to stick around, I mean. Put down some roots. What I'm trying to say is I think I'm back and I'm going to make an effort to stay back this time, probably.

If anyone remembers me, thank you. For real, from the bottom of my heart. And if you don't, then I guess we'll just need to get to know each other again.

Oh! Actually, question: "Should I post some of the stuff I've drawn in the mean time? Like, would anyone want to see that?" There's kind of a lot of it and I'm not really sure where to toss it, but I'd be more than willing to throw it somewhere for other people if they want. Give me some suggestions on places to dump it if yes.

I will though, point out that I somehow came back to like 2100 submissions on my FA, which is a HUGE amount to sift through, holy crabs. And like 50 Favs and 9 watches. I'm going to be thanking these people for the next half hour, I'm sure. Haha

Does anyone know where to get sounds for stuff? Like porn stuff, obviously. That project I teased, like, months ago (that has been almost completely push out the door-able) is really just in need of sounds, and I think that's about it.

(Also, life has been so hectic lately. I am like half a step away from quitting my job and just laying on my floor for the rest of my life.)

Like, seriously. Would anyone watch if I did Streaming? Like, drawing and maybe games. I'm not really sure. I've never tried it before, but I figure I could give it a shot, maybe. If enough people are interested anyway...

Also, I'm thinking about changing my avatar. It's been the same one (which was a gift from a dear friend) for a long time now and I'm wondering if I should swap it out for a new one just to see how it feels. Also also, I'm lamenting the lack of a folder system on FA, if I just shove everything into Scraps, I'm worried it'll look weird, but that's looking like my best option.

So I was sick for like a full month. That's like, the first time in a long time I've gotten that ill.
I was bedridden for the majority of it and thought I was dieing.
But just earlier tonight I started doing some warm up drawings, so I should be doing some more work on that thing I was talking about in the last journal (obviously I didn't exactly get much done while I was sick).

I play Monster Hunter. So I've been doing that a little bit, lately.
I've also been working on a surprise, but I don't want to get hopes up if I can help it, so I wont announce it yet. It's a little art heavy, though. But I've been driven to restart an all but dropped project as of the last couple weeks. Should be fun if I can get it off the ground.

But back to Monhun. I have a skype group full of people who play, and a lot of us are artists. I'm just interested in how many other people might have it. Not necessarily to add people to the group, but I mean...you know, maybe if I can swing some opinions the group might be open to adding a few people...

So I gave up spoilers for Pokemon X and Y about a week and a half, maybe 2 weeks ago. Wanted to jump in blind, wanted the Exhilaration of a blind run. And OH MY GOD IS THIS SHIT HARD.

I literally can not walk into almost any site without running straight into spoilers. It's terrifying. I can't even go around looking at stuff done by other artists without running face first into spoilers. I thought it was bad when I was looking at video game boards, but as it turns out anything art related is POPPING with Pokemon. I'm literally just adverting my glaze at this point every time I click something just in case.

Shit is nuts. I never knew blind running Pokemon was this hard.

And I still have a week left. My god.

If anyone is interested that is. I have an issue with undervaluing my own work, don't know if anyone's noticed. The reason I tend to stray away from doing commissions is that I'm afraid I'll overvalue my art and ask for more than I should, but I've decided to just jump head first into this thing in a way I feel comfortable with.

I'm opening 5 slots that are going to be up for the highest bidders. So you guys can name your own price, but since I can't exactly take a million commissions at once, I'm going to start out low with 5. The highest bid will always take slot one, the 4 below it work in a similar way (ie. second slot is second highest, third is third highest, etc.), and it's first come first serve for pricing. So if the whole board is blank and you put 1 dollar up, you get slot 1. If it's filled with 1 dollars slots and you offer 1 dollar, you wont make it onto the slots. If they're all 1 and you offer 2, you get highest and the last guy to bet 1 gets bumped off. But if someone comes along and puts down 3 after you put down 2, you get bumped to 2 and the guy who bet 1 last who's still on the board gets bumped off. It's a really simple system, I just want to make sure I'm as clear as possible about how it'll work. Thinking I'll do this for about 2 weeks or so before I stop it.

I got a new monitor last night. Am pretty happy about it. My old monitor was a little more than 10 years old and for the last month or so had been sputtering in and out of life. It was really blinky and blippy. And just last week it started turning off and then I'ld be forced to turn it back on manually. It finally died a couple days ago, though. I was in a skype call and it turned off and started clicking, so I gave it a couple wacks and tried to turn it back on to no avail. I stood up and realized there was smoke coming out of the top and it was flipping it's electrical shit. So I unplugged it and set it aside.
Tried to fix it over the course of the next couple days, but it was no good. Eventually, being poor, I called my dad and got his old one as a replacement. I knew he'ld have one cause the man hordes everything electric he ever buys, so lucky me, I guess. It's pretty spiffy.

The old one was fat, and heavy, with a tiny screen that was always blurry and had terrible visuals. This new one is a flat screen. It's thin, and light, and has a big screen and it's amazing. The resolution is great and it's so god damn sharp, I can actually SEE what I'm doing. I feel better doing art on this one, for some reason. Like, I can see the pixels in what I'm drawing and it feels like it's givign me slightly better control. Also my typical canvas size is free to double with this things size. Mmm. Feels pretty good.

Okay, so hey. How's everyone been?

I've been busy as hell with work. Big shit went down and we've basically had crazy numbers of people in lately. Requiring most, if not all, of our staff to wok like crazy people. So a lot of hours is what I'm getting at and busy really long and somewhat painful shifts that leave me drained as hell. Usually, I like to draw on my days off, but I've been so out of it because of work and just me being generally tired that I haven't been able to do much at all. I've barely held a pen in the last week or so, so I'm trying to warm up now. We'll see if I get anything out by the end of the day today, maybe sometime tomorrow.

BEYOND THAT I've been doing little things here and there. I took some of the suggestions on the last journal and made a Tumblr, as  GlennGarth suggested. So I can test the waters for a comic idea as  Trapmagius suggested. It's going to probably be something really simplistic, but I'm going to make sure it's better than it seems like it'll be. In the last journal I said something about doing a sprite comic ala Homestuck or Prequel. GlennGarth warned against it and told me to do something more like what I do with my imageboard threads, which I think could work. For now, I'm try to blend the two and hope this doesn't fail horribly and cause me to fall flat on my face. If it does I'll just do an interactive tumblr version of my threads. I'll just need to tweak the normal way I do shit a little.

Outside all that not much has been going down. I was a little disappointed by the lack of responses in the last journal. I was really hoping for more than just two people giving me advice. Though I'm really glad they did, it was pretty much exactly what I needed to hear to get my butt moving.

Is the Tumblr where it's going to be for now. Click the "What Do?" tab under the picture of the alien girl and suggest an action then hit "ask" and I'll pick the best few and go with them as the next couple actions in the story. This is what it'll be for now. I'm also not opposed to suggestions for how to make this Tumblr look better. Right now it's really nothing more than the default page with some tiny little changes in font and stuff. I'll probably be changing it some in the coming months so it'll look way nicer.

So I've been talking and thinking and debating and whatever-whatevering for awhile on the idea of me doing a comic. Some of you are aware, some of you not so much.

I just need some suggestions and opinions on how you guys would feel about it.

I was thinking of doing one of those "Choose Your Own Adventure/Quest" style comics that are so popular these days (like: MSPaint Adventures, Prequel, RubyQuest if you ever saw it, etc etc). The kinds that are like one panel long usually with story stuff written along side it for dialogue and internal thought, each page is usually made up of pictures that tend to be reused, and then every few pages you get a completely new splash image set that basically just looks like an series of actual unique comic pages, and they rely on input of the fans to decide how the story progresses. I'm thinking of doing something like this because it's easy and doesn't require me to do complicate panels every other second. (And I could crank out about a million a day with the right input frequency)

Basically, they idea would be I draw a shit ton of characters and backgrounds and arrange the characters on the backgrounds in such a way that they interact with each other or the objects around them, so it's all very copy paste for the general pages and then major actions (fighting, opening things, solving puzzles, whatever) get their own unique page sets. As I'm thinking about it, I think I'ld probably be more heavy on the event pages as this would be most prominently a porn comic. And I would feel better doing porn as unique page sets rather than the more simplistic ones. And between the pages I would rely on anyone willing to make suggestions to help the characters decide what to do next and how to progress. So let's say Point A is porn and Point B is porn, but there's a few conversations and some walking between the two points, I would do unique pages for Point A, B, and the walking more than likely, but the conversations might be in the more simplistic style. And to get from Point A to Point B would rely on the audiences input (stuff like: "Do this!" or "Pick up that!" or "Say this to that person!") and depending on that input, the story may change.

But I'm not sure how I feel about that. I know some people like that style of visual story telling, but I know a lot of people really hate the shit out of it because of how done to death it is. And if I'm lacking in people wanting to see me do that, I'm not getting a lot of input, and with that style of story telling a lack of input is a lack of content and an ultimately broken story.

There's also the issue of my uploading pages for it. It might get to being a really heavy flow of pages some days that might only be altered a slight amount and my gallery would all but completely convert into nothing but comic pages. I was thinking that I might be able to open another account and just post the pages there, but I'ld be worried that might become an annoyance for some (rewatching me on another account as well as this one). Even on top of that it still might annoy some of the watchers if they log on and see a million subscription updates just to realize it's nothing but pages from whatever my comic account would be.

I keep saying "A million pages a day" when I talk about this style of content, and that's clearly an exaggeration. But it really wont feel any different if I get a lot of good suggestions one day and just do all of them it could be a really large amount. I've done these sorts of visual stories in the past and I can tell you it can get quite page heavy. Last year I did one an I was cranking out 50 or so pages a day. I imagine that would be really annoying to sift through for some.

Overall I just need opinions on the idea. Maybe some suggestions for how to streamline the system a little better. I really like the idea, and I know I could totally get it to function and supply you guys with stories AND porn, but I'm worried about how rough around the edges it is right now.

 thegalen Did it for me awhile ago, I meant to change it but always forgot to ask if it was okay. Really nice guy. He's drawn some stuff lately that finds it's way here and there, it would be nice if his account was back, though. He got banned and has subsequently been banned over and over every time he comes back. I have no idea what he was even banned for originally, but I do miss having the guy under a static name.

As for where I've been. I've been neither here nor there. I've been doodling, but it hasn't really been anything I've felt compelled to post here (mostly clean stuff, which I always wrestle with whether I should even bother posting). I'm thinking sometime this coming week I might do some more drawings (the not so clean stuff). If not I'll shoot for the week after. I've just been fighting life lately, and it leaves me drained and not so excited for art. It's crazy, man. And it's a cycle. If I don't draw I get really rusty and then I don't want to draw because I'm rusty so I don't draw...and on and on and on.

Maybe I'll do like a thread on some chan board or something. Or maybe a live stream. Ideas? Comments?

I really like this icon. It's like my old one but newer and shinier. I feel weird using something not drawn by me, though. Makes me feel odd. No idea why!

Remember how I said I was getting really over worked, now? Well, I threw my back out. I feel like such an old person.

I was bed ridden for all of about a week. It was really fucking hard to draw, even with the heavy meds I was on. I'm hoping today will be the last day I call in sick for awhile. (I also have some severe Nerve damage in my left leg that makes it numb and then shoots pain all through it, and that might never go away, apparently.)

BUT OTHER THAN THAT I'M PRETTY OKAY.

What's the popular streaming site, nowadays? I like to stream when my computer has the power for it, and was thinking about maybe doing it a little.

Also, holy shit it's cold in my house! When did Winter hit? I swear it was warm like 3 days ago! My hands are horribly cold and numb, would it be stupid to try wearing gloves while I drew?

So as soon as I get my fucking computer back I catch a stomach virus and wind up bed ridden. I'm finally feeling a little better now, but for a couple days there I was puking all over the place.

Fixed my computer. Required some software I had left at my dad's house. Was a pretty quick fix and I was only without for a couple days. Thank goodness. I was afraid it was going to be MUCH MUCH longer. Guess I'm just a worry wart getting all flabbergasted and flipping out about this.

I feel so much better now.

Computer went and failed on me. I'm trying to fix it now, but I'll need to be gentle. The old girl is close to 7 years now. If I just reformat I'll lose all the art on there I've drawn over the past 2 years plus any game saves I have. But if I backup my HDD it might take me much longer than just reformatting. Such a terrible choice...

Oh well, guess I'm being forced to take a break for now.

(I'm holding back such high levels of pure rage right now, I could power the world for the next billion years if I let it all out in one big burst)

Okay, so holy shit. I thought they would give me some better hours at work this coming week, but I didn't expect my meager little schedule of the last month or so to basically quadruple. I barely have the time enough to sleep between shifts (spoilers: I should be sleeping now!) let alone draw. So for now I'm probably not going to have any of those requests done too quickly, sorry about that all you guys.

This of course doesn't mean I'm not doing them. It just means you have time to refine them, I guess, while I deal with super work for the next month or so. Maybe make some if you haven't already. I am only doing these because I really want to draw some stuff. And of course I still have a couple days off a week, so I'll try and see if I can knock some stuff out then.

But jeez, all the new watchers and the favorites and stuff. This is a little overwhelming all on top of work. But incredibly nice. If I haven't answered any notes yet, it's because I seem to be here and there a lot as of the last few days. and haven't really had the time to answer much of these notes I'm getting. Although, I always have liked getting mail.

Thought I'ld go ahead and at least push the birthday journal down some. It's been awhile since I've composed one of these.

I've been getting shit hours at work for the last few weeks, so I should probably have been drawing more, but a sort of inspiration lack seems to have me in it's grasp. It's like I just don't have the drive to do much of anything right now.

I went to the hospital to get a check up due to my feeling like shit for the last....5 months? Something like that. I keep getting sick and then it'll phase out and then come back again a few days later. He told me he couldn't see anything right off the bat, but that he wants me to come back and have some tests and shit done next week. Mostly blood work. So that's going to be tons of fun, I'm sure.

Work started finally giving me some good hours this week, though. Summer is going to be busy probably. So I might not have as much time to draw as I have now, but I'm going to make an effort to draw more than I have lately. Is it a little weird that I'm going to try to draw more now that I wont have time, as opposed to my drawing less when I did?

I think I need some ideas for stuff to draw, any requests? I might do a few if I can find the time or the drive...

Took me forever to figure out how to change your age on this set up. Why don't they just set it to change automatically? Bleh. Birthday was on the 22nd. Turned 22 on 2/22.

Also happy birthday to  pdxyz, while I'm on the subject. His is the only one I've become aware of. Hope I'm not insulting anyone. Happy birthday if it's getting close.

Also last Journal still stands. This is really more of an extra thought here.

I sort of explained it in the Jirachi pieces comments box. But now that I think of it, that probably wasn't the best place to say it. Either way, I'm still here. Just took a little time off to deal with stuff (Work, glasses, some small health issues). Going to try to remember to draw some more, get back in practice. Start slow, but hopefully build up speed so I can start churning them out a little more frequently again.
