I should be celebrating the brave men who fought for my country, but I got my computer fixed so whatever woot, thanks guys, have a nice day off.

Anyway, I got my laptop back, and I installed the new Leopard on it which is very exciting. Hopefully I'll be able to practice more with my tablet.

The new OS is SO FREAKIN SWEET!! I love it in all it's prettiousness and splendor. I've been playing with it since thursday, so I haven't gotten any work or art done.

I've decided to go back on my "draw til my hand cramps" campaign as soon as I get a new sketchbook, which will hopefully be soon.

I went to the book fair down here which was cool. My dad was promoting his book so we got to go to the authors hospitality room, and I met a lot of famous authors. There were about 400 authors speaking and most of them were pretty cool. I went to South beach Satuday with  syllable and we actually got stopped by this old guys who called us beautiful girls XD

Woot this weekend I gave blood! I love those people in the blood vans. They're really funny. I swear that needle gets bigger every time I see it.

Anyway, I also got the stuff for my costume this weekend. I have to sew (Urg). I also saw the new Mac OS, Leopard. It's so beautiful that I almost cried (not really, but I was close) I'm gonna dress up as my skelepanda Woot!

Ok some of you may have noticed that I haven't been on FA for a week. Yeah, that's because I've been in Tennessee most of the time. I went on my Senior Retreat last week which consisted of a 3 and 1/2 day stay in a cabin, half a day in Atlanta and a day in Islands of Adventure. It was fun. We did a lot of walking, eating, and physically strenuous things. Sadly, I didn't draw anything. I spent a lot of time bonding with my classmates and I never really had a chance to pull out my sketchbook.

I got back Thursday night and spent all of Friday night sleeping off the trip (so sore ;~; ). Saturday, I went to my friend, Mollie's birthday party. Even though she's 16, she's like the best artist that I know personally.  syllable and I took some of her sketches from her last sketchbook raid. Syllable got like 80 pictures and I got maybe 15 or 20 (not fair! >,<)

Then I got home and got in trouble, so I may be grounded for a while. I can't really tell at this point, but I got my Hogarth book in the mail, so I'll be happy for a while.

Oh yeah sorry Hazel and Itreyu. I was supposed to call call/text you guys but there was no signal up there or on that crazy ass bus T~T

Ok last Wednesday, I went to youth group with  syllable, which means we stayed at school all day and just goofed around, drawing, dancing and playing around. Anyway, the two of us had our sketchbooks and stuff laid out on one of the rows, and this one guy Paul comes by and asks to see my sketchbook because a bunch of people in youth group told him that I was a good artist. So, he flips through and to my dismay sees the porn in the back, but he just laughs and says it's normal to study anatomy. Then he takes me and Laura outside to ask us if we would like to paint the youth room.

I always thought this guy was a part of the church staff and he just did odd jobs for the youth church (like driving us on trips and doing the paint job for the youth room). It turns out that Paul is a really successful artist who does all these huge jobs in and out of the country. He's extremely wealthy and he loves supporting young artists and musicians like me and my friends.

THE POINT: We get to draw pictures for every inch of the youth room that will be projected and painted on the walls and doors. I offered at first to do it for a price. Then I changed my mind because it's my youth church, and these guys are so cool. Not to mention I was going to ask my friends for help. Paul then offered to buy all the supplies we'd need and whatever else we'd want from Pearls, which is probably the biggest and best art store in South Florida.

Then later that night, our youth pastor's best friend offered me and  syllable a job to paint a seasonal picture on the front windows of his office building for $50. He said if we did a good job, then we'd get to come back and paint it again for the next season. Two jobs in one night! WOOT!!

So yeah, I'm pretty excited about that. More art will be up soon. At least I think so.

ME!

Rock the Universe was really fun. For those of you who don't know what that is, it’s a series of Christian rock concerts held at Universal Studios for two nights from 4pm to 1am.

Ok so I got to leave school early and I got in the van with nine people I barely knew. Two of them happened to be the drivers, our youth pastor and his effeminate (not gay trust me) best friend. We were pushing 90 all the way to Orlando, and cracking jokes the whole way. The three college kids that were with us played pokemon on they're DS for about an hour, and I drew while two little kids watched me. They were silent so I didn't care. Anyway, we stopped at one of those halfway ports, and I had to pay $7.50 for a chicken sandwich combo >:C. We had to be staying in one of the worse motels in Orlando, but it didn't matter because we only went there to sleep.

Universal was really fun. I didn't go to the concerts because I didn't know any of the bands playing that day and because we were too busy getting on the rides. Everyone wanted to go to Islands of Adventure, but hey we still had fun. My wallet was RAPED horribly on food alone. I wanted to get some cool glow light wristbands for  kitstaa and myself but they were $6 each and you had to get two because having one just looked retarded, so I didn't buy any since I didn't have enough buy and ship two of them. So basically I bought no souvenirs. I didn't take many pictures either since there weren't really many things to take pictures of. A lot of people kept randomly high-fiving me. I found out later that that was actually normal for that event.

We left the park at 2 am because the crowd was thick and we had to keep 50 people together. The adults were all irritable and we forgot where we parked the vans.

The next day we went to Wet n' Wild, and again I hung out with people I barely knew. I faced my fears and got on every slide except for the one that shoots you straight down. I didn't want to get a major wedgie or flash the lifeguard, so that was automatically out. The best ride was this thing called the Brain Wash in which we got a 4-person raft and went down these dark twisting tubes and shot out into a huge closed-in half pipe thingy and sloshed around really fast. Gawd that thing was so fun. My friend got his boxers ripped on the lazy river because someone gave him wedgie, and I almost drowned in the wave pool. Right after we left it started to storm, but our car broke down then it started to work on it's own. Once again my wallet was raped by food costs and we headed home. I got back home around 10:30, and it stormed the whole way. I loved it.

I actually drew some pictures, but they were all drawn in the van, so they're not worthy of posting.

So yeah that's pretty much it. I have a lot of messages to check on DA and FA so I’ll be busy for a while.

I'm going to Orlando tomorrow for Rock the Universe, so I'll be gone all weekend. Two and a half days of rock and rides. Plus I miss a day of school. Woot!

 nerdcorpse,  syllable and I made some funny ass movies yesterday, so I'm going to edit them and post them when I get back.

Also seeing as I'll be on a bus for four hours up and four back, I'm pretty sure I'll have a lot of art to post when I get back.

Just finished watching it and I must say that it is AWESOME!

Why? BECAUSE KAKIHARA IS SO FUCKIN HOT!

It's really gorey and hardcore, and there's a couple rape scenes. I had to cover my eyes a few times and I really didn't understand the end and a bunch of the random scenes, but whatever.

POINT: Their British accents were hot, and I love that movie and Kakihara!

Ok so this weekend, I'm going to Universal for Rock the Universe with my youth group, and I am REALLY excited about that. Then later this month, I'm going on my Senior Retreat for a week. My entire class is pumped about it. Plus later this school year, I'm planning on going to a bunch of anime conventions and hopefully a couple fur cons and AC next summer.

All of this is really awesome and exciting and I'm looking forward to every single one of them, but what I'm not looking forward to is spending my parents money. Along with these trips, I need to get a new laptop to replace my broken one and not to mention the other essentials that my parents buy for me. I'm not being ungrateful, in fact I really don't want to make my parents spend all of this money. They won't let me get a job and my bank account is pretty pitiful at the moment. My mom has promised to give me allowance in return for good grades, but once again it's their money.

We're not poor or anything, but I feel like I'm selfishly sucking my parents dry (or at least it feels like it) with all of the things I'm asking for.

So I guess my point is since I don't have any of my own money, should I continue to go to these conventions and trips, or should I just hold off asking for unnecessary stuff until I get a stable amount of money in my account (which may take a while)?

This is my senior year, and my parents want me to experience it to the fullest, but I would like to have a little financial freedom without relying entirely on them and being a burden.

Ok so the first day of school was just bleh. I felt like I had just gone to school the day before. The only thing different was a new principal (who has a habit of silently popping up when no one expects it) and different classes (taught by the same teachers mostly). I managed to drop two classes and take up art. I kind of felt bad about dropping band though because it felt like I was leaving a sick dog to die in the road (yes the new band is THAT BAD) I also may have lost our club sponsor in that act. I'm not really sure whether to be relieved or bummed about it though.

Anyway, I'm happy that I'm taking a class with  nerdcorpse and  syllable (ART! YUS!!) because they kick ass. I have a feeling that Syllable is going to hurt me a lot this year for making obvious passes at here and laying my head on her chest XD. Aside from a couple crappy days that I know will come, THIS YEAR IS GONNA ROCK!

Ok so I've been staring at my art for a long while now and looking at some of my favorite artist's stuff on FA and DA, and I have discovered that I really really need some help (with my art that is). I've basically been self taught all this time, and I'm starting to think that maybe it would be better if I was actually taught by someone who knows what they are doing.

I've considered taking art at school, but that teacher is a psycho with no taste, and i doubt she can teach me anything that will help me with my preferred type of art, as she considers anything that's not realistic as not art. Not to mention she doesn't teach digital art, and that's what I need the most help with. I can't take any college art courses because I don't really know if the colleges close to me have dual enrollment art classes, and frankly I don't think my school would let me with the schedule they gave me.

I'm not really depreciating my art. I just know that i can only improve so much without any kind of training, and right now I don't see much improvement. Plus I don't want to be accused of stealing or something because I use poses or techniques from artists I admire to teach myself.

So yeah, I guess that means I need to find a teacher or a class or something.

I need something to do besides read Great Expectations. I'm probably going to doodle a bunch of random people's fursonas in photoshop >o<

Went to some picnic afterwards with my parents. it's way too hot to be outside. At least I ate.
