Sqeaks has kindly taken me up on being my rival for my Nuzlocke run in exchange for funding the copy for the endeavour so I'm starting it on my way home! If you want to pitch in $5 to be a trainer along the way (you'll also get a standalone sketchdoodle of yourself as the type of trainer I used you to represent or for +$2 you can pick a trainer type, $15 to be a gym leader (I am going in pretty blind and have long forgotten my Sapphire playthrough so you can look up and decide where you want to be you can) But when I reach a gym/town I will fill the gym with a generic if I don't have a taker.

Furnal


Furnal's getting to be a big convention now, and it was pretty much a blur. I'm not sure where the time went I just know it was a good time. Thank you to Ben, Rose, Shaun and Vinnie for being fun roommates and helping make the downtimes hilarious too. Spent a fair bit of time running around and being doopy, but I had so many laughs this con and despite not getting to draw as much as I would have liked.

Highlights:
- A bunch of hilariously adorable badges and sweet sketches (Thanks a lot to Kure for letting me monopolize her a bit =x
- Lone Star! I missed out last year and oh man going this year was utterly hilarious. It was wonderful
- Getting to meet some fine folks for realsie
- finding my voice in suit



Begin again
Now the party's over and I've come back home to find that the place is going to be splitting apart. so I'm going to have to move, again. Right now it's looking like I'll have to move in with a coworker, though if anyone in the Toronto area's looking for a roommate I might be down, though I need to be out of here by the end of May. Not sure where I;'m going from here but if I could get a job lined up elsewhere I'd be down to move completely... But that's a bit of a stretch yet. We'll see how things go

This will probably end up getting lost in the wave of Happy New Year journals and now 2014 has begun in parts of the world but I should get the last journal from my front page and try to get things sorted a bit more.

First thanks to everyone who I met up with at MFF for making it such a wonderful experience, despite its hiccups. I had a blast running around in suit and getting to catch up with folks who I don't get to see much of, especially with my flipped schedule.

This time of year's usually pretty tough for me because for all the times I've been told that I'm a sweet guy or all that most of my memories of this time of year are of fighting with family both immediate and extended, despite trying to cling to the notion of Christmas magic. Two years ago the magic officially died for me and last Christmas was probably the worst, so this year not having to worry about the false togetherness or the gift guilting was really good. I've been mostly working which has kept me too busy to care about the holiday too much.

Finally if I don't actually start posting anything I may as well stop wasting my time doing anything. One way or another I need to stop stagnating

Here's to hoping 2014 is a step forwards.

For MFF my plans are mostly set in stone except for one small kink. I need a room or at least a place to stash my bag and suit on Sunday/Sunday night. If you know anyone who can help with this please let me know ASAP. I am arriving Thursday and Leaving Monday but my room is only from Thursday to Sunday.


Re: Christmas
Thanks to everyone who wished me well on my birthday. Now that my birthday's passed though, there's a few things I need to address about Christmas this year.

- I will not be sending any Christmas cards this year.
- Unless the address you have for me is on an Avenue I won't get them if you send me any. (and even then it'll be a hassle to get them if I do get them even before Christmas,
- I'm not participating in any trades or Secret Santas.
- My Christmas plans are that I'm working.

I'm not looking forward to the holiday in any way so I would appreciate treating it as any other day with me.
