Very successful MFF
Posted 11 years agoWell as always, I like to have a post once i get back from a con to say how things went. I had a pretty successful con. Despite the whole gas-leak mess that happen, it wasn't a burden to this year's MFF experience. As the time before/after the event, had its load of fun. Event wise, I only hit the dance-comp this MFF, not any other panels. I didnt even manage the time to see dealers den, which isn't a bad thing, saved money if anything xD
My main goal of this con was to spend time with friends who I see online, and meet new friends. This goal was easily met, I ended up suiting an average of 8 hours a day, and spent 90% of my time with different friends from online who I'm close to. Ran into a lot of new people ( mostly suiters ) who I got to meet and have fun as well. I have no complaints except wishing it was a longer con, to do more with people.

and many many more. Which, yeah, as you may have noticed a lot of the people listed happen to be MFY suiters. Guess there is a MFY family that naturally goes on x3 couple of them i met at MFF, without previous contact and was like OMG your so awesome and fun to hang with! Kinda how it went with a lot of new people i met at MFF. Really enjoyed the suiting time I got at the con, and running into people who recognize my suit, rather i recalled their name at the time or not. It was great running into people I didnt even expect to see at the con, such as

But yup! In all, a great con. Always leaving furcons thinking of how amazing furries are. Had a lot of the typical experience of randomly talking to some fur in the lobby i didnt know and making instant friends based over small conversation.

Should be all over, you never know. Raves for sure. Rather in suit or not, I try to be as neon as possible.
Can I visit your room?
Depends, obviously I must be there and I dont really intend to use the room for anything more than sleeping.
Can I buy you drinks?
Preferably non-alcoholic. I dont have much need or care to drink except for a few social situations. Even then hardly any.

Yup, Most seem to give the impression that I am

Have a few in mind, multiple invites, just have to see how the con is going and what I'm doing when they're going on

What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
Mostly hang out with my online friends who I never get to see anywhere else besides cons. I dont really care much for panels except dance comp + floor wars. Else I far prefer to just hang with people im close friends with online, as i wont get to see them til the next con I attend, or next full year.
And suit a lot, of course ^^ Lots of fursuit fun to be had...
2 years into the fandom

So yeah, Technically November 2nd 2014 marked my 2-years-in-the-fandom. Much of whaat I can say about this im sure is half expected. furry has set more into me, making more friends, etc. Pretty much started in the fandom knowing no one, and my first 2 cons were me knowing absolutely no one at all, wondering what to do etc. vs now its 24/7 non-stop running all over with people. Have met lots of great people, made new friends, a few very close friends, and slowly finding out who i am.
My fursuiting now vs before has changed a lot too. Suiting use to be more a 'put on my suit and try to act out some random character' now its pretty much put on my suit and become something else. pretty much at that point where once im in suit, i dont think about what im gona say, how to act, etc.. i just do it naturally. I more/less developed a 2nd personality in suit, without try to, and still to this day, without noticing outside of what i get told. because when im in suit, i completely forget im ooking through mesh, with black around it..tunnel vision as some say. im pretty much to the level where all that gets completely ignored and all i see is straight vision like im not wearing a head, and forget i have a fursuit on, as its gets viewed as a part of me.
But yeah, really not much i can say except a bunch of stuff most people would expect from a journal of this subject. open to any questions though ^^

Some more updates
Posted 11 years agoI'm more a user of twitter/facebook, easier to upload many pictures...and I like scrolling news feeds. So yeah, I have been a bit low-productive here on FA. I never really used it much, other than posting pictures, and viewing pictures..since it lacks a chat sytem and a news feed, its not really my thing to check it every day. If people comment/message me though, im typically on top of it. Just annoying to upload the same photos to 3 sites..I prefer to post where the most activeness is.
In other news. I will be at MFF this year, I got approved for the days off. I'll be posting up a meme later on once I know 100% certain my roomies and all, since that kinda stuff tends to change often. But it looks like I'll be arriving Friday by 3-4AM. Just depends how the weather is -- road conditions. Then I'll be staying into Monday. So at this point, you can expect to see me there running around. If you happen to be crazy and be running around at 3-4 am friday, poke me. as chances are arriving so late, may just pull an all-nighter so I sleep better friday night.
Also if I never shared on FA, I did get a new job back in September. So that keeps me busy 40+ hours a week. I'm actually using holiday time to go to MFF, so I'm basically being paid to be at the con. Since as far as room cost + reg + gas goes, It's basically 100% free to me. So MFF is only going to cost me money, when i hit the dealers den and food. I do enjoy this, as it makes me more tempted to ( in the future ) stay at cons a little longer, or hit more cons in a year. May even start going after my own room at some cons...
So yeah. Due to work keeping me busy, I kinda shimmered down and simplified my life a bit. I'm mostly just about work, quadcopters, and furries. I dont do to much of the high voltage electronics anymore since a lot of that was more of a time killer before i found furry, and it sorta arise out of my depression days with the whole risk factor of that hobby. So Now I pretty much just bank money and enjoy hanging with friends and trying to keep a balance in my life. See fur friends one week, see multirotor friends another.
Which is kinda another thing i need to work on a bit. is kinda focusing on main friends and doing a better job at staying in touch and what not. Cuz there's a lot of friends.. local and all, whom I care a lot for. Some know that already, some dont...simply because I fail to find the time to simply go to them more often and chat.. instead of just come home, talk to specific few people every night, and play games. Theres a lot of people, locals included, who I want to be good friends with, who I want to know I care for them as a friend and always around when they need help etc etc etc, but I need to work on devoting the time to talk to them more..and not just assume they already know all this. Plus most of you know I love furries...and really love fursuiters. Friends mean the world to me. Chances are if I talk to you, and keep a decent try to keep talking to you, it means your one of those people. A lot of times i dont start a conversation, or dont poke people too often, is because I think I'm gona be bugging them, as silly as that sounds. There's really very few people i dislike or have problems with. If I use to talk to you a ton, and stopped talking much at all, its not because I dont like you, its because I get busy, have other people keeping me busy, and when talking to others, im too engaged in those chats to start another chat,,and pretty much every night there's always someone poking at me. So that makes me not scroll through my list finding people to talk to, too often.
But ya. Just some updates. Right now I'm working on getting a badge done, was too lazy to do the lineart for it myself and was like mehhhh spending 10+ dollars to get better lineart made...10 dollars...being told I dont have to do it...knowing i dont have to do it...buuuuuuuuuuuut i want to do it. Sometimes I'm just too nice when it comes to friends xD But its who I am. Making a great income these days, got money to burn, i like to here and there put it towards making friends happy. Kinda just my way of showing friendship. Got friends who occasionally make me free experimental gifts, and I know they do it for the same reason. And those people know who they are, and know i value them as very close friends. Even though some of the stuff just hangs on my wall, its still seen daily as a reminder ^.^

Internet Cleaning Time.
Posted 11 years agoWell. I got sick of crap accumulating on my computer and internet. So decided to do some mass cleaning by just saying 'No F's are given' and just plow through stuff. My imgur is flooded with over 5000 pictues, and even though i scroll through it daily to link people pass projects and such, i said F it, and nuked the entire account. Need to clean up things.. a lot of things.
Imgur Account -- Went from 7235 pics to 12.
Youtube -- Deleted 60 Unlisted Videos
Desktop -- Magnitudes of GB of .RAW images and misc downloads
Facebook -- Deleted every invalid ( suspended / deleted / removed ) accounts on my first list, people that dont exist
Email -- 6000+ read/unread emails deleted
What next... Thats the question.. May nuke a ton of old photo album. Storage, back up of the storage, and backups of the backups..
