I think I'LL PROBABLY be crashing at any moment due to getting back from an 8 hour drive just a little while ago, but tomorrow I clean up and get everything together and get back to work.

Health wise I'm feeling 500% better, by the way. The antibiotic seems to have worked its way through my system (finally) and I'm really feeling tons healthier.

I got roped into helping my mother clean out our summer place upstate NY and so consequently I'll be gone for a long weekend (takes 6 hours to drive there and 6 hours back ugh ugh) and probably without internet access starting Friday. PS: I am DONE WITH THE ANTIBIOTICS *TOMORROW*. I hardly ever feel any of the pain that I was feeling that prompted me to be prescribed the antibiotics so I feel super optimistic about their efficacy. Apparently it takes a few days to recover from being on metronidazole but basically that means in a few days I might feel better than I have in MONTHS AND MONTHS so I'm very happy.

I'm working on several more pre-made artsy-fartsy looking dolls, like the two I auctioned off on here previously (and the one I sold at the AC art show this year). I should have a bear up soon and have many more animals being designed and planned. The auctions worked well I think, but I was wondering if you guys would prefer to see some of them sold straight through Etsy or for direct sale on here instead?

I know some people don't like participating in auctions and I don't want to turn anyone off, so I just wanted to get some thoughts on straight sale vs. auction for dolls.

Finished an off-site commission yesterday and hoping to finish up jansither and roanlycan tonight so I'm making progress. I'm really feeling much better in general now. Still not to the end of my antibiotic but I'm a lot better than I was. :D

Well, I'm still pretty good on the nausea front. I'm a little under halfway through the treatment and I'm hoping I can trudge through the rest of it, as I've actually seen some improvement in some chronic symptoms I've had for months and months now... if not years.

However, the metronidazole that's part of the treatment I'm on (it's a 3-part antibiotic treatment, lololol) seems to be causing some gross side effects at this point (horrific back pain, numbness in my hands and feet, headaches). I'd still actually take all of this over nausea (I HATE nausea) but it's still there.

I was having some really sharp pain in my upper stomach that I called the doctor about a few days ago and that actually wound up going away, so I'm hoping these things fade off too.

I've been exhausted and doing a lot of sleeping and laying down because it's been draining me so badly, but I'm trying really hard to be optimistic about it.

Anyway, just posting this for the sake of those waiting on commissions mostly so ya'll know what's going on and you don't feel left in the dark or worry that I'm just putzing around or something. I'm really sorry that all of this is happening and delaying everything so much. I feel really awful. There just isn't much I can do about it right now, but I have been getting a little work done every day -- just not nearly as much as I like.

I don't get a chance to mention it very often, but writing is something that I really enjoy doing and something that I would like to take more seriously in the future. I went to college for English (and have a BA in it) and am considering a dual Ph.D program in creative writing & literature. I would also really like writing commissions to be something I might be able to offer to furries one day on top of what I already do, so that I could justify writing practice a little bit more by getting paid a little bit for it. c:

I thought I'd offer to take some writing requests -- probably for something short-story length or the first chapter of a longer work. It would be something I would like to do (for now) as a leisure activity, so no guarantees if or when they would be done for now, but I need some furry-specific writing samples of course.

I slept SO MUCH yesterday but so far I seem to be doing ok on my medication. I feel super disoriented and a little bit like I'm dreaming and I have the most awful taste in my mouth all the time, but so far NO nausea, no stomach pain, no headaches -- none of the really bad side effects I was told to expect, so I'm feeling very tough and capable right now.

I still have that gallbladder scan & ultrasound on Thursday and Friday (scan is the only thing I'm dreading), so there's that, but I think I'll make it through this treatment without too much pain. n__n

Thought I'd update yesterday's notice with something more positive!

I just found out today that I apparently have an infected stomach ulcer and I just got put on a 14-day cycle of antibiotics that could apparently make me very nauseous and sick-feeling. On top of that I have a gallbladder scan and abdominal ultrasound scheduled for this Thursday and Friday (and I always have a bad reaction to contrast, so I will probably be gone all day Thursday).

Anyway, I'm hoping that I get used to the discomfort caused by the medication and rough it out and can stay active and productive, but because there's a chance I might not be ok I just wanted to let everyone know what was going on with me. Feel free to continue to send me notes if you have any questions and concerns and I should be able to answer them. c:

I tend to price premade items 10-20% cheaper than I would customs, so I like to suggest them to people that like my work (thank you .____.) but can't really afford the cost of a custom, which I totally understand. I also like doing premades because it gives me a chance to experiment in ways that I don't feel comfortable with on customs because I want my customers to get what they are expecting based on my previous work (for the most part).

But I do want to make sure that I'm offering stuff up in my Etsy shop (and recently, on auction, which have been very successful, you guys are the best!) that people want to see. I got a bunch of work done last night for an offsite commissioner and roanlycan but this sickness is beating the shit out of me right now. Just giving everyone a heads up that I might be really slow for the next couple of days as it seems I've either got some kind of infection or have a kidney stone. I was in horrendous pain most of yesterday (like could barely stand, crying pain) and went to the doctor and was prescribed an antibiotic that on top of everything else is making me kind of nauseous and dizzy, so I'm not sure how good I'll be until I've run through that.

I updated my Pokemon card sales ENORMOUSLY AND gave them their own post because there were so many of them. MOST of my cards (commons and diamonds) are only 0.25 cents. I have a bunch of rares/holos in there too that I'm taking offers on, so again, feel free to comment there or here. :)
