Update: Hospital
Posted 3 weeks agoI know I've been absent and I'm sorry I've been unable to stream or post anything for the past several weeks, but I wanted to post an update to let everyone know where I've been. A while back I had to go to the hospital when I couldn't keep any food or water down for a couple days. A neighbor at the RV park agreed to look after my cats then dropped me off at the hospital with a change of clothes and my computer (I always assume a prolonged stay) and after about 2-3 hours of waiting, I tried to drink some water a stranger brought me from the fountain and was subsequently checked in when a few minutes later I threw up in the waiting room. They gave me an IV to rehydrate and while I waited to get tests done, I started messaging my insurance to get the ball rolling on the claims and bills this will incur.
Turns out I have inflammation in my esophagus and a few other places through my digestive tract, most likely from a flare up of my muscle disorder, making it almost impossible to eat or drink anything, much less keep it down. So, they put in a semi-permanent G-tube (feeding tube) that I can use to inject some kind of nutrient goo straight into my stomach and bypass my throat, but that hasn't completely stopped the puking.
Anyway, there's a bunch of other stuff, but I don't want to write out a huge post just listing all the medical tests and surgeries and procedures I've had to endure over the past month, but needless to say, I'm exhausted. The only time I've been on my computer has been to try and keep up with my job, file medical leaves of absence, and keep my workplace informed of my status in the hopes they don't lay me off, or to email my insurance company and apply for more loans and schedule payment plans, etc.
After 2 weeks going back-and-forth between hospital and RV, I'm back "home" (my friend's RV) and have no idea how long this is going to take. I have no idea when I'm going to be feeling up to stream or do my own art again. I have no idea how I'm going to pay for all this. I'm even afraid I may have to sell my van less than a year after getting it, especially since I'm supposed to leave the RV when my friend gets back from Canada sometime in November and I don't know yet if they'll let me stay longer. I feel like shit, and I'm not very optimistic about my future. But, that's where I'm at. If you've got any suggestions, or words of encouragement for me, they'd be much appreciated.
Sorry to make you wait,
Godot

Public Pinup Polls
Posted 8 months agoI've been looking for small ways to increase the art I make here and elsewhere for my own personal joy. It's one of my new year's resolutions. I landed on the idea of making at least one finished piece every month in the full body pin up style you often see with furry artists, but I also decided to include all my followers/subscribers/patrons in the process. So I started making public pin up polls!
Basically, every month, I'll be posting on SubscribeStar and (for now) Patreon, a poll of my various OCs where anyone can vote. Whether you're a paid subscriber or a free follower on either platform, you can help me choose what character should be released by the end of the following month. And the winner of my first ever poll from February was ... me. I'm flattered. So by the end of March, I'll be releasing a fully colored pin up image of myself. Feels very self-indulgent, to say the least, and very apropos for my resolution of making art for my own joy. I've already released the WIP sketch of my first pinup exclusively for paid subscribers on both platforms, but if you'd like to vote on the poll running through March, for the art I'll make in April, you can do so for FREE at either SubscribeStar or Patreon (so long as you have an account there and are following me).

I hope you'll join me in making this year a more joyful experience. It'll help encourage me to make more art.
Thanks for waiting,

Return Stream! 4 August 2024
Posted a year agoHello everyone! I'm finally feeling ready and energized to do a stream (hope it lasts until Sunday lol) on 4 August 2024. I'm doing very well after my surgeries with almost zero pain, just annoying itchiness from the gauze and bindings I have to wear for the next month while everything finishes healing. Bonus, instead of my car, I'm staying at a house with my cat and air conditioning thanks to a kind pet foster home. Basically instead of just paying for my cat to be here, I'm paying for myself to stay here, too. Hope I don't give any of the other pets fleas.
Feel free to start sending in your requests through messages on SubscribeStar or to my Discord ahead of time if you are in the $10+ tier for a single character sketch (+$8 for every extra character), or followers can buy a sketch on my Ko-Fi for $8 per character, or wait to ask during my stream to be put in the free request queue (if there's space). Hope to see a bunch of people there!
Thanks for waiting! I really appreciate it! <3

More Surgery & More Day-Long Streams
Posted a year agoSo my surgery on June 6th went fine. I'm feeling great. Breathing gets easier everyday. I'm moving and active, just like the doctor told me to be. However... I have been scheduled for yet another surgery on my heart. Apparently one of my arteries or veins or whatever has begun to stretch with the improved blood flow and oxygenation and is now being restricted by the stent they put in a few months ago. So I'll be up and about doing chores around the house I'm staying at only to suddenly almost pass out from my heart freezing up for a moment. Or at least that's what it feels like. My physical activity has been limited by the doctor until my new surgery to replace or remove my stent (he won't know which he should do until he gets the wire and balloon up in there).
Surgery date is July 8th, so I'm planning on doing 2 more day-long streams in the coming Sundays (June 23rd & June 30th), so feel free to make some requests. I'll be filling any extra time with more work on that animation I started before all this. I'll be back in the hospital July 5th being prepped for surgery with more antibiotic baths and stress tests, so no stream on the 7th. And even if I wasn't back in the hospital by then, I'd be too stressed to stream anyway.
Thanks for waiting, and I hope to see some of you there!

June Hiatus
Posted a year agoBit of an update. Since my heart surgery earlier this year my heart has been beating up a storm, so I'm having another surgery that promises to have a much more strenuous recovery period. It's on my lungs. I'm having scar tissue removed and patched up with special little internal bandages (or something like that) so that I can get more oxygen now that I'm getting plenty of blood pumping through my veins to carry that oxygen. However, it means I won't be available for most, if not all of June, which means I'll be holding off on streams.
My surgery is June 6th, so my last stream will be June 2nd until such time as I feel recovered enough to start back up again. If you're looking to get requests at my free request streams, try back again in July, otherwise, hope to see you around!
Thanks for waiting,
Godot.

Onward To 2024
Posted 2 years agoMy goals remain the same as they ever were, to make more money and pay off more of my old medical debt while trying to find time to do some personal projects both here and elsewhere. I still have a gif sitting in my queue from that 2022 special offer, so it is at this point over a year old, mainly because I just haven't made time to finish it (Update - finished it). I also hope to get more done for the details of some of my NSFW comic ideas, including things like character sheets, some backgrounds, and maybe an actual storyline instead of just sex lol.
This year, I sadly let go of a lot of personal items so I could move all my remaining possessions into a smaller, cheaper storage locker, I removed 2 seats from my car so I could have more space for everything I need, and I made a lot of new friends while travelling that were willing to trade my art for some great upgrades to my vehicle. So now I have a bigger battery, a bigger fridge with a freezer, a better hot plate to cook on, and even a cover for my wheelchair so it stops getting rained on while hanging off my trailer hitch. It was a bitch having to use it while wet and was the only reason I owned a hair dryer. And without rent hanging over my head, I was also able to afford some better medications and more Physical Therapy sessions each month.
All-in-all, despite being homeless, having a couple bad seizure episodes, and having to throw away or sell most of my oldest art pieces, '23 was actually a much better year than '22. But now it's at an end, and it's time to move forward. I'm hoping to cobble together a simple commissions sheet before the end of January so I can more easily start accepting paid requests. And I also want to pick a couple subjects to create fully rendered samples of, so if anyone has any suggestions, leave a comment!
Anyway, 2023 is at an end, so onward and upward to 2024. Thanks for all your support. Thanks for keeping me going. Thanks for helping me survive. And thanks for waiting.
