Old Comics
Posted 12 years agoCurrently, I finally started making new Paw Valley comics, but since I like to get way ahead in them before I start posting, I thought that I should finally post some old comics that I originally made for a storyboard idea that I sent to Pixar Studios in 2008. Well, my artwork was awful way back in 2008 so I really can't blame them for not taking me as a storyboard artist. I was really just starting to take drawing seriously and my shading and lettering wasn't much better. However, I do think the stories were pretty fun and I would later write and include them in a little, unpublished novel I wrote, the one place I sent it into never even got back to me. Anyway, I drew 21 pages of what are 3 different stories.
The first story involves my alligator Razortooth. It's somewhat similar to Paw Valley 25-30, but Razortooth had darker intentions at the time and Lester wasn't included. I later replaced in the short novel with a wolf by the name of Vincent Hunter. I did this because I really started to love Razortooth and didn't really want him to stay a villian for some reason, but I did decide to keep him a bit grouchy with hard luck, but every gator has his day, as shown in Paw Valley - 165! 8D
The next story is the longest, but the funniest! It involves Walter doing a humorous painting of Rusty's foot, which would eventually cause the poor bear a lot of embarrassment!
The 3rd story involves Walter being nervous the day before an artshow, but getting a lot of moral support from his best friend, Rusty!
Anyway, I'm using these comics because I wanted to post them for a long time and it will allow me to work on more Paw Valley comics for a better tomorrow, thanks!

Just Letting You Know.
Posted 13 years agoI didn't win the San Francisco Library Card Contest, but I am very encouraged that I made it to the finals and, especially out of 92 entries, that's not bad. However, considering that I'm not the guy to have the greatest number of Twitter/Facebook friends in the world, but I do love the ones I have and on DA and FA too, I rather only enter into contest that involves judges picking the winner, I really hate campaigning like a politician. But I was happy to participate, it was a great learning experience and I'm sure there will be more art contest for me to compete in, but in the meantime...HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU ALL! 8D

I Made it into the Finals! 8D
Posted 13 years agoFor those who don't know, I entered into a contest for the San Francisco Public Library to get a chance at having my artwork displayed on one of their library cards, all split into different age groups. Well, 92 entries were submitted into by my age group and I got into the final top ten! 8D
Now I am going to ask my friends here for a little favor, I would like you to vote for my drawing by first going to: http://www.improvesf.com and making an account there. Then all you would have to do is go to: http://www.improvesf.com/finalists-adult and find the picture titled "The Bedtime Story" and hitting the "I love it" button! Anyne can go there and create an account, no matter where you live and this would be a major favor to me! So please just take a few minutes of your time and help me get my drawing on San Francisco library cards, I would be forever grateful! I love you always!

Just Joined San Francisco Library Card Contest!
Posted 13 years agoI was wondering if anyone would be interested in helping me get votes to get my drawing on San Francisco library cards? I think that it would be great to get furry artwork on a card used by thousands of people in San Francisco everyday! In case you don't already know, it's called "The Bedtime Story."
You can view it at: http://www.improvesf.com/adults-des.....-bedtime-story
If you would like to vote on it then you would have to create an account here: http://www.improvesf.com and it doesn't take long to do. You have to be, at least, 15 years or older to vote. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated! I love you all!
Sincerely, Walter Ringtail

Confused! 8P
Posted 14 years agoI don't really know where to start. Ok, upon recently meeting my cousin, Randy, a pretty darn good photographer, he mentions how talented I am with my artwork, that is a good thing. However, he seems to try to encourage me to make a living at it, & I know he's right. So what's the problem? I don't really know what to do with it. Should I do comic strips, write or illustrate children's books, just try to sell prints or make greeting cards? Well, the major holidays haven't hit yet so I'm not to worried about how the greeting card thing may turn out yet. I guess that I have a problem sticking to anyone idea, so I never really get anything serious done. I'm trying to strech myself out in too many directions & this seems to make things hard, not to mention I'm one of the world's greatest procrastinators! 8P I think I got talent, I hope that doesn't sound egotistical, but I can't settle on what to do with it. I know some people have bigger problems than this, still, it does cause me some level of frustration.Um, thanks for reading!
I'm Feeling a Bit Better
Posted 14 years agoI'm sorry about any sence of drama that I gave anyone yesterday. I still feel that I got things to do to get where I want to be, but that's, at least, partly my fault for being a procrastinator. I can't blame anyone or thing for me not moving forward if I don't even do anything to seriously make it happen. On top of all of this, I agreed to to some kind of sales/sampling event during the weekend & I really didn't enjoy that at all! 8P I used to enjoy doing that for some reason, but now I find it boring and repetitive. I thing that added to my frustation. At any rate, I don't plan on giving up, especially since I really never began. I may need a little time to figure out my next move, but I can get there if I take it seriously enough. So once again, thanks for being there or even giving me any kind of well wish that, perhaps, I didn't even know of. Anyway, I wish you all the best! Thanks! 83
I'm Just Tired of it All.
Posted 14 years agoI'm getting depressed with everything about my life and I just have to question why I should keep going and carry on. I'm really not happy with myself anymore. I'm sorry.
I made changes to my Times Square picture
Posted 14 years agoI made the changes because I don't like the dirty look of the way the picture originally came out. Anyway, I don't know if it is any better, but I will just live with it. Anyway, I guess that sometimes the colors seem to clump in some spots when using colored pencils and making my characters look a little darker because they were outside at night was harder for me than I thought it would be. I don't know if it's the paper or the pencils that I use that can cause this, maybe I just need to get smoother paper, not sure. Oh well.
I'm Fixing My Latest Picture
Posted 14 years agoI know that some people like my new Times Square picture, but I don't like how the shading I did for my own characters turned out and I really didn't notice that until after I uploaded the picture. It's the black colored pencil I used to shade Rusty, Walter, Ringo, and Lester with, it looks like dirt on them. I love the rest of the picture, but noticing this caused me a load of depression afterward. So now I am erasing the pencil coloring off of those characters mentioned and re-coloring them, everything else is staying the same & I will put the re-colored picture in it's place. I just wanted to bring this up somewhere. I just needed to express my feelings on this because it has been bothering me. 8(
Something Good
Posted 14 years agoThe good news is that I am really beginning to figure out how to make a good website. I don't know any html, but I am making it using a free website builder and I love how I am beginning to master it. Next I am going to map out how I want the site to look and the navigation. I plan on using it for both my web comics and my color pictures and will include links to my friend's sites, indexes, maybe a place for stories. I also hope to have places to leave comments, as long as, they are removable because who knows if I might get some from occational trolls. Anyway, I think this will be rather positive and I am quite happy about it! Walter 83
Procrastination
Posted 14 years agoThere is a lot I want to get done with things, like sending in my story book, making a website ( I kind of started working on one with wix.com, but I got a ways to go), I have to do my taxes this week, like it or not. Also, I'm beginning to miss my friends againand working on Paw Valley. I wonder if I'm becoming lazy or uninspired, hopefully it's just a little phase. Anyway, maybe I just needed a break. Just expressing my current thoughts. I LOVE YOU ALL!. Walter
Blaw!!
Posted 14 years agoI had a miserable time at the Berkeley Furmeet because I can't relate to getting in the corner of a restaurant with a bunch of younger strangers that I don't know. So now I am just really angry and I totally hate myself! B(
