Just dropping by with a quick update. This is gonna be a really busy month for me, and I'm probably gonna be afk until around the 24th. After that I'm gonna try and catch up on stuff like Torpid. I've just been lacking inspiration + too much to do atm. Thanks for being patient!

I've been super swamped with schoolwork as of late, but now the load is easing up, and I'll soon be on Easter break! The new Torpid page is currently being created (currently being inked!) and Friday (and possibly Saturday) I'll be streaming myself drawing it =D So if you have time, consider dropping by~~~

Beth:
- Beth was born in 1959 and is 26 years old in current Torpid time
- She's polyamorous
- In the ages 7-17 she used to sing in church every Christmas day
- She loves animated movies, her favorite is Watership Down
- Her favorite food is her mother's homemade apple pie
- She has a very big vocal range. Her most preferred band to cover is Guns N' Roses because of Axl Rose's vocal style matching her own.
- She's from Florida. although her parents are originally Australian
- Beth went to community college and studied musical theater
- When she was little she used to dream of singing on Broadway
- She hates Ronald Reagan, and constantly crusades against his politics

Samantha
- Sam was born in 1956 and is 29 in current Torpid time
- Her favorite band is ABBA, but she loves disco in general
- She has a bachelor in psychology
- Her family is originally from Puerto Rico, though Sam was born and raised in Ohio. She speaks Spanish and English fluently
- She's been HIV positive since 1982
- Her favorite book ever is The Stranger by Albert Camus
- When she was 16, she became a regional champion in kickboxing
- She works part time as an aerobics instructor
- Her favorite drinks are piña coladas
- Samantha's favorite movies are usually very gory, R-rated movies

Ramona
- Ramona was born in 1965, and is 20 in current Torpid time
- She plays the acoustic and electric guitar, and a little bit of bass
- Her favorite band is Ramones, but her favorite musician is Ella Fitzgerald
- Her first band was called Ella Spitz’er Ale - they broke up after two weeks
- She loves videogames and often ends up blowing all her change on arcade machines
- Her favorite food is Belgian waffles
- Her father is a drag queen, which made her involved in the LGBT community early on
- She's originally from Texas, but her family moved to San Fransisco when she was little because of her father's work
- Ramona's favorite movie is Alien
- She loves decorative lights, and her apartment is covered in light strings and Christmas lights

Cookie
- Cookie "joined" the mafia when she was 13. Homeless at the time, Elliott couldn't help but feel sorry for her. After she was taken in, Garcia started helping and training her.
- She's a bit of a sadist
- She loves sarcastic humor, and often laughs at her own jokes
- She used to babysit Lucia, and live at the Acerbi house. Elliott was her legal guardian
- She and Eva became very close, and she saw her as a mother. She considers the organization to be her family
- She loves sour candies and soda
- Her weapon of choice is a baseball bat. She hates the sound of gunshots
- She has very little patience and has a tendency to snap at people
- Her favorite food is lasagna
- She loves Jägerbombs

Abebe
- Abebe used to work as a stockbroker until he quit his job to become an aspiring writer. He went bankrupt a few years after publishing a novel that only sold a few copies.
- His novel was about an isolated astronaut falling in love with a star he would view from his station
- He's been homeless for about two years
- He was offered help by some old colleagues, but he refused it
- While living on the street, he's been working on a second book
- Abebe loves David Bowie and Pink Floyd
- His favorite food is fried chicken
- Raised in a Muslim home - identifies as agnostic
- He's a big fan of Alan Moore
- Has a pamphlet from Niagara Falls in his pocket from 1975, which he keeps close to his heart

tjandamal.com - The Less Than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal by EK Weaver (NSFW) This comic is wonderful in every way. It's a feel good comic, that you should really check out if you want to read a fun comic with beautiful art and solid characters. This comic is finished,

lovemenicecomic.com - Love Me Nice by Amanda Lafrenais. Another fantastically illustrated and written comic. It's funny, heartwarming/breaking and again, has some extremely solid characters.

blackgrasscomic.com - Blackgrass by Kinomatika. I recently stumbled over this one, and boy, it's a lovely one. The art is brilliant, the characters are endearing, and I'm very excited to see this story shaped further.

lackadaisy.foxprints.com - Lackadaisy by Tracy J. Butler. I'm pretty sure every person on the internet has read Lackadaisy by now, but I'm adding it anyway. One of the best comics I've ever read. The art is breathtaking, and the story is captivating.

http://avasdemon.com/ - Ava's Demon by Michelle Czajkowski. Another beautifully illustrated comic worth checking out. The story is exciting and the world the characters live in is so beautifully established.

Hey-o! I just felt it would be appropriate to write out a proper update, since there will be a lot of things happening these days.

I am going to be super busy for a while, so this will mean there's gonna be a delay in... well, everything! I'm not totally sure when I'll be 100% back, but I will probably update as much as I can.
This also means that Torpid will be pushed back again. Honestly, at this rate, I'm hoping to finish Year 1 by the end of summer, but nothing is for certain. I am pretty motivated to work on pages again though, so you never know how many pages I'll end up making.
Thank you all for your patience tho! I know the update schedule is terrible, but I'm glad people are sticking with Torpid, even now. It means the world to me!

SO, in short, I've been working on the newest pages, and I've made some small clothing concepts for the background cameos you guys sent me - I'll release those when page 37 is out!

I've also been reworking the original cover for Year 1 of Torpid, because the old one is, well... old. Outdated designs and a slightly lame concept overall. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14679736/ I've been wanting to go in a different direction with the covers for each year - and you'll see why soon. I'm very excited for this!

Hey there folks! Just dropping by to wish you all a happy new year! Do you have any resolutions? Mine are to work harder, both in terms of art, my comic (finishing year 1!) and my other work! (Also to get more in shape, but that one is boring)

I also have another question for you - would you like to have a cameo in one of the upcoming Toroid pages? It's a scene set in a cheap café mostly used by students. Getting a cameo is free, but there are some rules:
- real animals only.(with the exception of hybrids of two real animals)
- also, the character has to be as everyday as possible (this doesn't mean they can't stand out from the crowd - but no magic outfits, or space suits ect...) they have to wear normal clothing, is what I'm trying to say
- This comicis set in the 80s - so shoot me an era appropriate outfit you chatacter would wear.
- only one character oer person please

I don't know how many characters I need yet - but if your character isn-t chosen for this page, it might be chosen for another!

So, I'm just gonna admit that comic updates are gonna be slow. This probably doesn't come as a shock to anyone at all, considering the tedious update schedule the comic already has. I have a lot to do these days, and I don't want to mess up the little inspiration I do have for the comic. I'm gonna focus on some other things for a little while, until I can get back on track again with Torpid. I will try to have the next page done before Christmas tho.
