Time lapses!
Posted 3 years agoHey guys :D
Schools been busy, but I've found out a way to record my drawing process and time lapse it in CSP!
I may start up a YouTube channel as a place for me to put videos so you can watch every detail of trades, commissions, doodles, etc...
Right now I'm picking out some theme music and seeing if I can edit the videos a bit to make them more entertaining.
Focusing on putting my energy towards this and school for now. Website on hold. Commission sheet on hold.
I'll keep you all updated.

Dominion Board Game Review
Posted 3 years agoHi guys ^<^
Today I wanted to talk about one of my favorite games I've played in a while - Dominion- This game is a deck builder style card game. Basically you are able to draw a number of cards into you hand and you try to optimize your hand to give you more points. Dominion has almost a medieval theme to it. I have only played the base game, but there are a lot of expansion packs. What impresses me about the game is the versatility of play styles you can have. For example you can collect a lot of money cards and focus on economy, or you can play more long term strategy cards like adding bloat cards to other players decks or gaining a point for every 10 cards your own deck has.
It is an incredibly in depth game and I think it would take all day to talk about all of the expansions and strategies....
I have only played this game a handful of times in a duel type format.
I would give it a 9/10. I think it is very easy to learn and very fun. My only complaint is after a while more diverse cards would be nice, but those can be purchased via expansion pack so really it could be a 10/10....
The card art is also pretty cool. The game is all about balancing ability cards and knowing when to buy money or victory cards that can slow down or "bloat" your deck.
The game takes anywhere from 15-30 minutes depending on player strategy. It works well with 2-5 people.
9/10

Awesome board Game XIA
Posted 3 years agoHey guys ^<^
If anyone is interested in board games I'll be posting a few of my favorites with little reviews.
My physics professor is super nice and lets us borrow his board games over the weekends ^<^
Anyways the boardgame of the week was called XIA.
Basically it's a sandbox space game where you command a ship and explore to trade goods and complete missions. I was kind of hesitant at first but it's actually super fun. There are mini figures for all the ships and it is very customizable. You can become a fast ship, a defensive ship, a ship with big lasers, a trade ship, and a couple others. You upgrade your ship by using little Tetris blocks to give it extra firepower or cargo space.
I can't really go into all the details because it is such an in depth game. But if your interested in a cool space game for a few players this is a great choice!
You even get to make deals and trade currency to form alliances against other players.
Anyways that's the jist of the game. It is incredibly immersive and time flies by when you play it.
So far I would give it a 8.5/10 only deducting points because it works best with at least 3-5 people and it is pretty complicated to learn the first time.
If you want more details my Discord is always open!

Stolen Gems
Posted 3 years ago(This is a separate storyline than Webber finds a frog/ Journeying to town. Will probably all loop together at sone point. But these are all drafts for now : )
The king was furious. One by one, his gems had been stolen without his notice. What could have done such a thing? Immediately the king began an investigation, pressing every guard for information. Each guard proved to be loyal and true. Not a single once gave any indication of being a traitor.
Where were the gems then? The king paced back and forth. Enraged by the loss of his gems, he no longer focused on what the kingdom needed. The people began to suffer without a dedicated ruler. Trade became sparse, and the lack of leadership caused factions to rise up. While they were able to get by with what they had, they wanted their ruler. They wanted a leader. Crowds stood outside the castle begging the king to come out and forget about the gems. Guards chased off crowds, furiously explaining gems were the wealth of the kingdom. Without gems no other kingdoms would respect their power.
After weeks of increasingly intense protests, finally the king emerged from his fortress.
Word had gotten around that the king was not fairing well, but still, the people were unprepared for what they saw. The king overridden with greed and anguish, hardly looked like himself at all. No longer was he proud and stoic. All that remained was the shadow of a man that had once been great. As he walked towards the crowds with a troubled look, people stepped back in disbelief. Was that really their king? How could a man have changed so fast?
A long silence fell, before finally the king spoke up. "I know many of you have worried these past few weeks... It is true. The gems have been taken." The crowd shuffled in discomfort. Many of the faction leaders began discussing corses of action amongst their closest allies. The whispers were interrupted by the king's voice, now more confidently suggesting a reward for any who could find and retrieve them.
Immediately the groups turned to themselves again. Many came to the conclusion a neighboring kingdom had sent spies. A few suggested the gems were somewhere in the town.
Without another word, the king turned and the giant castle doors shut behind him. Dozens of peasants began shoving one another and scrambling to search for the gems. Perhaps this was their ticket out of a life of poverty. The guards tried to maintain some level of order, but it was in vain. Even the most noble knights and priestesses of the town felt the intensity and competitive need to search for the gems.
Stands were thrown apart, sacred fountains were violated, croplands were torn up.
After a few days of relentless searching, finally, a young fisherman had enough. He and a few of his closest faction members began spreading rumors the gems had been spotted outside of town. Their original plan was to buy time to create fake gems, but that did not pan out. More rumors from other factions began circulating. People became very selfish and distrusting of one another. Food became increasingly sparse. The kingdom was in a rapid decline.
At the gate, a messenger sent word the kingdoms long time ally neighboring kingdom would be coming to do trade. Instead of the usual warm welcome, the message was taken with great suspicion. After several weeks of searching to no avail of the gems, many speculated it was this neighboring kingdom that had stolen from the king. The trade proposition was brought to the king's attention. Initially he took great offense at the thought of it.
"Why... It is an insult! First they steal from us.... Then they want to trade us out own money back!" The king grumbled. As greedy and distracted as the king was, he was still clever.
"Wait," He said polishing his crown, "Let's accept it after all. Surely I will recognize if they truly to trade me my own gems back! Ha, then they will be aught red handed, and we will make them pay!
The guards spread word of the plan to the villagers. With this glimmer of hope, the kingdom was able to somewhat band together. After officially accepting the trade request, the king emerged from his castle once more to rally his people.
"We will keep up our appearances and set a trap for our so called allies. Clean the streets and prepare yourselves! They arrive in 3 days." Relieved by seeing their king once more with some dignity, the people worked to clean up the streets. Unfortunately, many of the damage done to the crops was irreparable. As hard as the townspeople tried, they could not get the kingdom back to its former state. On the surface, it seemed polished, but upon closer inspection it was easy to see how hastily cracks had been repaired, boards had been nailed, and tarps had been stitched. Surely the neighboring kingdoms would look down upon this lack of appearance.
The time came for the trade to begin. The neighboring kingdom sent a handful of their highest ranking officers, and their queen. The town guards escorted them to the king's castle.
With a concerned look on her face, the queen asked what had happened to the town. The king hid a smirk 'as if they don't know...' He thought to himself. 'They have stolen our gems and insulted the pain it has caused.
"Bad Bad weather..." The king lied. The guards nodded in agreement. There was an awkward pause.
"Please," The queen said gently, " I can tell your people are suffering, "Let us help." This was almost to much for the king to bear. He held his temper in as his guards watched nervously.
"No," The king replied "We are here to trade... are we not? So then Show me the gems you offer."
The Queen's officers watched protectively. Something felt off. The queen hesitated and looked around the throne room.
"The truth is," she began carefully, " I have no gems to offer.
The king was stunned in silence.
"But," he began, "It is no secret you have the wealthiest kingdom of all. You always have! Where have your gems gone?" Finally he had broken his stoic demeanor. He now openly searched for the truth, although still with a bit of distrust.
"Well," The Queen began, "The truth is, our gems went missing weeks ago. Right around the time you stopped contacting us. I had figured since you were our closest ally perhaps you could help us in search of them, or maybe if your heart could find it, lend us a few of your gems. " The queen spoke with sincerity in her voice. It was strong yet soft. The king's brow furrowed.
The queen continued. "I also came to put rumors to rest." The king shifted uncomfortably, as the queen spoke, " please do not take any offense to this, but a few of my townsfolk accused your kingdom of stealing our treasures." The king froze. He seemed to be fighting his own emotions. The queen continued, "Once again, I know that you would never do something of that sort, but you know truth has always been my policy. I just wanted you to know... "
Finally, the king spoke. He saw his sad face reflected in the queen's crown, "Where have your gems gone then?"
"There has been talk," The queen said, "...talk of a dragon."
....
" No," The king replied seriously, "There are no dragons here. We would have seen it coming. We would have heard it." Guards shuffled in the background. The king flinched a bit. Leaning in, he whispered. "How has your kingdom been fairing with such a threat as this?" The queen smelled wonderfully. Like lilies and a fresh breath of air. Guilt sank into the king's heart. How could he have accused her?
"Well, admittedly, it has been quite difficult." Her long hair flowed slightly as she spoke. "I immediately informed my people. I told them as soon as I had learned what had happened. Of course initially there was panic, but I implored my people to trust in once another and ban together. I worked tirelessly out in the fields and markets with them to help where I could. Our trade was shut down almost entirely, but we were able to feed everyone. I did not tell them about the dragon actually, they told me."
The king, ashamed of how he had acted, looked to the floor. Why hadn't he been able to stay calm and help his people?
"Well, do you believe them?" The king looked up half in disgust. "About the dragon? It just seems like such an easy way out. Blaming things on dragons that don't exist...."
At this the queen became visibly shaken. "Did you not hear a word I said? My kingdom is built upon trust. Of course I trust my people." The guards seemed displeased.
"Alright alright." The king said waving his hands. "Mind telling me who told you of this dragon?"
"An older couple...."
"A very credible source." The king remarked.
" I am starting to rethink this arrangement." The queen huffed.
"You were the once that asked for help!"
"Clearly you need some too! Your kingdom is in shambles."
The guards and officers glanced at each other uneasily.
Suddenly, The queen had a look of understanding....
She stared at the king and spoke softly yet sharply.
"....You don't have any gems either....."
The king looked puzzled. Was there any use lying at this point? it seemed like this lady could see through everything.
He glanced towards his guards remorsefully. They nodded.
"No." the king sighed. "I don't have any gems."
....
Thanks for reading :)
This is a draft idea I had of a book/short story potentially staring Webber as the dragon. I am not sure yet where this is going to go, but it was fun to write.

Journeying to Town
Posted 3 years agoHi,
Today I decided to take my little frog buddy, Obsidian, with me into town. The mugginess from outside crept through my kelp door and into my cave. I began preparing for my trip by packing a vial of water and some trading gems into my satchel. Lately Obsidian seemed to follow me everywhere I went. I was worried the stone roads would be hot on his little flippers. Hmm. I looked through my stone shelving for some type of protective wear. I did not exactly have a lot of clothing to begin with.... In town clothing was optional so long as everything that needed to be covered was by fur or scales. A few of my University friends were very into clothing, but I always had a hard time stuffing my fur through the little holes. What could I put on this little frog's feet to keep them safe? Maybe he had heat resistant paw pads on the bottom of those flippers? I slowly crouched down gently lifted a froggy flipper. It certainly did not seem like there was any paw pads from what I could tell.
My search for heat resistant footware yielded nothing... Perhaps a potion or solution from the academy? I checked my display shelf... Nothing of use... I looked at the frog. He stared back blankly. Maybe I could find something on the road to town. Eitherway I had wasted enough time, and surely Obsidian would not walk on a surface that was too hot for him just to follow a fluffball he met no more than three sunrises ago.
I checked over my "To do in Town" list.
-Look for more bedding furs.
-Visit the Companion shop.
-restock food(Fish and Cheese).
Not a bad list...
Ready to go, I pulled open the hanging kelp hiding the entrance to my cave. I was hit with another wave of heat. It almost felt as though I was underwater it was so humid.... Despite the unpleasant heat, Obsidian hopped along after me. I smiled a bit. What a silly little frog.
The path to town was not a terribly difficult trail. It was just a beaten grass path that gradually turned to dirt and stone. The vegetation that surrounded the path for the first half of the journey was quite dense. I made sure to stop at my favorite landmarks on the way to take little breaks for both me and Obsidian. The first place I liked to stop was a little grove of giant flowers and sprouting trees. The air was always sweet and it made me feel inspired. Sometimes I came here to reflect. I laid down into a particularly soft looking patch of pink flowers and let my senses absorb my surroundings. So peaceful... so quiet here...
"BLERUP!"
I opened my eyes and scrambled. Obsidian sat directly in front of me puffing out his chest furiously. His eyes were still so blank... What did he want?
"Uhm....What?" I muttered to the frog. He didn't really respond... He just continued huffing. How was I going to break this odd language barrier. He made it very clear he wanted something. Perhaps this was an important place for him to. Was his family here? Did he even have a family at all?
Questions raced through my head until Obsidian hopped passed me, opened his mouth, and lunged at a large flower. He closed his jaws...if you could call them that... and looked content. His mouth was so stuffed, several petals protruded outward. What was he doing? He hopped around, almost jovially.
I took a stray flower. I made sure to grab one that had already fallen off its stem. No use in destroying a live flower.... I examined it very carefully. The pink and white colors blended so subtly, it was difficult to tell all the shades apart. It's smell made me feel energized, and the texture was incredibly soft. Why would that frog enjoy eating this so much? Was he even eating it? I glanced over ....No it seemed he was just holding it in his mouth and hopping about. I brought the flower closer to my mouth. I slowly brought my blue tongue out to give it a lick. This was so stupid... I licked the flower. I felt a jolt travel down my body towards my tail. It started glowing again! Why? Before I had time to examine it, my tail light faded.
Was this magic? Or side effects from that potion I made? I waited and tried licking more petals. No use. My tail wouldn't glow.
I huffed and threw my arms up. We had spent enough time here. I still needed to make it to town before midday.
I was so flustered I walked past my usual basking spot and my favorite swimming stream. The calming sounds of nature were drowned out by my frustrated thoughts. There were a few beasts that supposedly had magic abilities. Big strong dragons to be exact. I was certainly not that. I had always admired dragons and dreamed I was one, but the dragons I read about were scaled with huge horns and majestic wings. All I had was layers and layers of fluff. When my fluff sheds for the spring, I guess there is a bit of scaling on my belly, but nothing as wondrous as a real dragon! I kicked dragged my toes through the dirt path. At least Obsidian was here to keep me company. He hopped along beside me as the road slowly turned to stone.
As I predicted, he seemed to be uncomfortable with the hot stones. I sighed and stooped over. He hopped in place, trying to get his feet off the stone. I slowly extended an art. Without hesitation he hopped onto my paw.
" How did you survive this long?" I mumbled as I lifted him upward. I used a second paw to secure him and lifted him up to my face.
"Aren't you scared?" I said, opening my mouth and showing my fangs. Obsidian gave no response. He just seemed glad to be off the rocks.
I let out a long breath and gently tucked Obsidian into my satchel. He barely fit and definitely made the contents slimy. I looked forward. Finally, emerging out of the swamp, I saw the large field the town settled in. A few cows eyed me as I walked closer to the town gates. Wow their horns were big.... Within just a few minutes I was greeted by the village guards as I entered the wooden gate....

I Made a Glow Potion Today
Posted 3 years agoHi,
I got back from Academy the other day to find obsidian in an odd state. Obsidian was insistently taking tufts of fur from my bed and setting them near the cave pool. I was a bit unsure what he was doing, but it didn't seem terribly bothersome... I'd just move my fluffs back to my bed later. Speaking of Fluffs, It was about time I traded for some new ones. I am not sure about you, but I find there is nothing better than a nice pile of furs and woven shed hair to curl up on at night. Usually I get them from this nice lizard's stand. I can't remember his name... He sources his furs from winter beasts who shave because they have issues shedding on their own. I've heard some animals such as sheep never shed on their own... Hm, Thankfully my coat gets nice and soft in the winter and nice and sleek in the summer. It'd sure be neat if I could grow and shed my hair on command though! I heard a rumor from school that it is possible by channeling your inner magic. Well, I don't know about inner magic, but I bet alchemy could do it! Hmmm...
Oh. Speaking of Alchemy, I made this awesome potion today that causes me to glow when I drink it.... I was supposed to be making more slippyjelly, but all of the reading I did about glowing deities kind of planted the idea maybe I could glow to. Now, I am not trying to impersonate a god or anything... I just wanted to be shiny. Let me make that very clear. I used the normal recipe for slippyjelly, but instead of mixing it like normal,
I snuck it to the top of our school's rock spire and set it onto some scorching hot black rocks. Intense heat waves radiated outwards and blurred areas around them. Several reptillian members of the community were splooted out on rocks smiling and taking in warmth. Don't get me wrong, I love to bask, But what is the point if you can't jump in some cool water to cool off....? And these black rocks are hotter than anything I've ever basked on!
The sun beat down as I carefully wedged the potion in between the hottest rocks I could find. A huge croc gave me a lazy glance, but thankfully, I hadn't seemed to draw much attention from any of the other baskers. Suddenly, the potion started to bubble and churn with color. Brilliant greens and yellows swirled and glowed....The little jelly within was changing! ...It just seemed different than the normal boiling you see in a lab. Well, Of course I had to test if it had any effects. I had read this was an ancient method used for creating lights to please the gods.... I don't know... when it came down to it....it just seemed like a more festive way to boil a flask.
Now I know what your thinking! Oh what an irresponsible little alchemist running off and trying new methods without researching them thoroughly and getting them approved. Well no, to that I say, I did do a little bit of research on the subject. I continued reading texts from the library on glowing gods, and found quite a lot of different approaches for what makes this phenomena happen. There were many interesting theories. Some studies claimed this gel was safe for all to consume with a pure heart. Other studies suggested these potions could activate dormant magical cells within a magical being, ha, sure yeah. There were a few really outlandish studies that thought you needed to have a pure heart or be a god yourself.... No.... I quickly moved past those. What a silly hypothesis.... right?
Well I was able to find something consistent in every study. Every study and ancient text I read on glowing deities, offerings, and this type of reaction were safe for consumption. Not a single study wrote of a dangerous interaction with the substance. Although, one did say misuse of the gel could cause eyebrow shedding....
Hm, I seem to have rambled a bit about science, well I guess it was the highlight of my day and all.... I guess somedays are just more work focused. Ah yes right so, did I sneak away to try my own reaction...? Well yes, but it was in the name of creativity! And besides I bet that the professors would not even mind... and not to mention this knowledge could be really useful! ... Hm well, I do not know what my next move is... there's is all kinds of additional trials and documentation and study I could do..... I could make this official..... But. I think, I'd rather not for now. That might take some of the fun away. I'd rather know more before doing anything anyway.
Hm... It seems the little froggy is bundling itself aggressively. How Odd. I did see him sneaking some salmon from my fridge today...Just glad the guy is eating now. Well the sun is down now, so I had ought to go to sleep. Very hard to see the paper!
Brief Update: I have not tried any of the potions in hours. I awoke from a bad dream to find my tail fur glowing intensely. Once I calmed down the light seemed to subside.... Obsidian is still bundled up in a cocoon like fluff ball.

A Name for the Frog?
Posted 3 years agoWebber Finds a Frog Pt 3.
Hi
Update! After reading a good deal of ecology I found this creature to resemble an amphibian called a "frog"... I am still not entirely convinced as it is much larger and pancake shaped than any thing I have seen, but nevertheless it does seem to have similar behavioral characteristics. Speaking of said creature... I have decided for the time being to name him Pancake. Pancake and I had quite the surprising, dare I say, bonding experience today... I awoke to find the little pancake snuggled up beside me.
When I don't have any schooling for the day, I love to start my mornings with a good deal of outdoor exploration. I took care to not wake the creature, but the second I left the fluffpile he began stirring awake. Oops. I took a large gulp of water before heading out the front of my home. There was an odd "Plip Plip Plip" noise behind me. hmmm....
I turned to find King following me out the door. Or perhaps he was heading out back to his own home... I stared and waiting for him to leave but he just stared back with empty expressionless eyes. What was going on in this creature's head? I still was half convinced there was some higher form of intelligence in there. Almost alien like....
"Well," I finally said after some awkward silence, "What are you doing?"
.... No response, just intense staring... hmphf. Perhaps he did not want to communicate after all. I turned to continue on my walk. *Plip Plip Plip*
The thing was still following along but it made me no difference. Every time I turned to look at Pancake, he would freeze as if it were some type of game. But, sure enough, once I turned and began walking, he followed loudly.
The foliage was quite dense in the area and the ground was a soft pinkish sand. Giant stalks of slender green and blue plants waved about with the gentle breeze. I took time to smell some of my favorite plants with bright purple and blue flowers. There were nearly the size of my head by now! These flowers smelled light yet somewhat salty. I had been visiting this section of the swamp for almost a year now and was my favorite basking spot; A small clearing with hardened sand surrounded by a few giant smooth rocks. Just a dragon's length away was a large pool of slow moving water wrapping around corners of foliage. The sounds were very peaceful here. Plants rubbed together and fish splashed about.
I centered myself in the middle of the hardened pink sand and draped my tail over a black rock. It was incredibly warm and felt like a hug. Any soreness my body had melted away as I breathed a sigh of relief. I closed my eyes and curled up, soaking in the warm sun on my back... What a lovely place this was and a great way to unwind from the stresses of the academy....
So it was for all of 5 seconds before *PLIp Plip plip* Perhaps the little frog like creature was just settling in and would quiet down. I had been so focused on nature I had almost forgotten about him... surely if I were patient it would settle in....no... Instead I felt a sudden cold pressure on my side. ugh what was this thing doing....? Scowling, I opened an eye and turned to find Pancake's sticky self trying to climb on top of me. Yick. I was unsure what to do so I froze, trying my best to control my frustrated huffing noises. Finally the thing settled on top of my back and stretched out as if it too were basking. I read nothing of frogs basking, and more importantly, Who does this creature think it is! Higher being or not, it does not get to use me as some.... some.... basking perch! The nerve!
I scurried upright. Overcome with frustration, I thrashed about, kicking up sand and a black rock off towards the water. Suddenly, Pancake sprung off of me in the direction of the rock. It chased that rock as if it were a matter of life or death. Such intense movement for a creature with seemingly no expression. Pancake pounced on the rock with its mouth wide open. So much for a tranquil morning. The fish were scared off as Pancake turned back and bounded toward me. Acg!
Was it coming to attack me for my insolence? Perhaps I had greatly offended it in not accepting to be its perch. I had no time to react as the creature was already at my feet starting upward. How was it here already? Would it be my end? How was it going to punish me. Perhaps I should have been kinder to it. I closed my eyes and prepared to be smitten...
"Bleruk" .... I felt a sudden pressure on my foot. Agh! I grabbed my foot and lifted it up. What the?... Oh... The black rock I had thrown earlier fell off my foot and onto the pink sand.... Uhm... The creature punished my insolence by dropping a rock on my foot? What a strange custom. Pancake still stared, ....almost... expectantly now. Slowly I crouched down and picked up the rock. Upon seeing this Pancake began Wiggling and hopping. What? Was this some form of communication! Well, I could not pass that offer up. I tried Wiggling my tail in response, but Pancake only seemed to care about the rock now. It was oddly circular for a rock and had incredibly smooth sides. What did he want me to do with this?
I set the rock down and immediately Pancake tried to eat it again. Surely that was not good for its health! In a panic, I grabbed the rock out of Pancake's mouth and threw it far away into the water. Instantly, Pancake wiggled and bounded towards the rock. Ugh, Fine if he wanted it so bad I guess he could have it... Maybe it was part of his diet, although I was quite confident frogs ate bugs. Pancake lept into the water and seemingly swallowed the rock up again. Well, I had seen enough. I was going to go home now and tend to my cave. I had to read up on my Alchemy studies anyway.
I stretched out and took in one last whiff of the fresh flowers. just as I was about to start out. *Plop.* Pancake dropped the stone right at my feet.
" I am not entirely sold on the name pancake for you.... Maybe I should have called you stone or something." I told the little flat slime. I picked up the stone and studied it. It appeared to be dark black with hints of grey and purple. I sat down and stared at my reflection in the stone.... Hmmm.
"...Obsidian" I remarked. Pancake began jumping. I thought just for a second, I saw a glimmer of emotion in those eyes. What emotion was it though? Something like desire or perhaps affirmation.
"Ah! Your name is obsidian then? ....Of course!" The little froggy deity stared at the rock with such focus. ... I knew it! Surely there was intelligence in this being. It was trying to signal to me its name!
But if I had already found its name, why was it so focused on the stone? Perhaps it got joy in chasing the stone and bringing it back. But why? Such a pointless task. Well, I like basking and smelling flowers. Perhaps to him that seems like a pointless task. Is it so pointless if It brings joy and doesn't harm anything? I suppose not.
Reluctantly, I threw the rock. Instantly, Obsidian bounded off and retrieved it once again. I slumped over and took the rock. Ah....
"I guess you just wanted to play a game of fetch?" Oddly dog like behavior for such a non doglike animal. Erm. Perhaps I had been a bit to imaginative in assuming this thing was so intelligent... or a deity. Perhaps he is but a humble creature like myself.... Regardless I liked the name Obsidian and figured We could stick with that rather than pancake. Maybe he could have a first and last name. Obsidian Pancake.... Oh well....
I plan to spend the rest of the night studying. Obsidian Pancake followed me home with his rock and has been cuddled up near my feet for the time.... He seems to have lost his concept of personal space.
At least the weather was nice, and Obsidian does not seem particularly threatening or threatened.

A Sleepy Day
Posted 3 years agoWebber Catches a Frog Pt 2
Hi,
After staying up most of the night reading lore on small slimy deities... I came up with nothing. It was difficult to drag myself out of my fluffpile this morning, but I didn't want miss out on the Academy classes for the day... We were learning how to make slippyjelly after all... which sounded interesting. I was half tempted to skip school in pursuit of my own studies, but perhaps the slippyjelly knowledge could come in handy someday...
I prepared myself for academy as usual... I started with a tasty salmon rice breakfast from my cooling rocks, then I combed out my frizzy fur. As I walked over to the cave pool I was surprised to see that round slimy little creature napping in the center. I thought for sure it had left. It didn't seem terribly invested in me as I washed my face off....
.... After classes I returned to my cave with my vial of slippyjelly. It was not terribly difficult to make... perhaps in another journal I will write about it more. I looked for the creature in the pools but could not find it... The creature had moved from the pools onto my fluffplie now. ... Even though he was surely getting slime on it, I let him be. Perhaps he needed time to acclimate, although I did make it clear he was free to leave....
As I was sweeping the dust out of my home with my large tail, it occurred to me I had not given this creature any sort of name. In all honesty by this point I figured the creature would have written it out, or perhaps told me with a telepathic ability. What name could I call this creature as a placeholder? I continued to ponder this as I sorted my collection of treasures...
I began to nod off as I finished my dinner. I had been very low energy all day. I used the last of my energy to write before curling up on my fluffpile.
Hmm, a rather uneventful day today, And a rather sleepy one at that.
Perhaps tomorrow I could look into more ecology books. Religious texts did not seem to get me anywhere.
The little creature seemed unbothered when I laid down beside it. Surely tomorrow I could spend more time understanding it.

Thanks for reading!
It's a pretty low energy vibe today, so a low energy journal to match.

Webber Catches a Frog
Posted 3 years agoHi,
So today I was paddling around in the pond... as I like to do, when all of the sudden I heard a strange blurp in the water. I swam through some itchy thickets and slender cattails searching for the source of the noise, but ... to no avail. All I saw was the rippling of the water... What caused this odd noise...? Well I wasn't sure, but I figured I'd stay and watch for it to come back. I quietly waded out of the water and hid in a particularly large patch of Grass. I poked my eyes and snoot out of the front and waited.... Nothing. My wet fur was starting to feel heavy, but I didn't want to make noise. And besides, how can I properly pounce on this creature if I am not crouched and ready... Is it even a creature at all? Well Maybe it was magic or some kind of trick... I flickered my tail in disappointment.... Perhaps this was a waste of time and there was never a noise at all....
*BLURP* Ah there it was again! But this time It would not escape me.... surely. Now where exactly had it come from....? I craned my neck ever so slowly waiting.... waiting... when finally! I saw the slightest blur of movement out of the corner of my eye. I did not hesitate. I extended my claws and pounced out of the weeds... splashing and thrashing about... and onto...What was this thing? UGh it was slimy. It wasn't even trying to escape.... It just. sat there in my claws. Well, erm. It was a dreadfully adorable little thing. Very round shaped with big eyes. Clearly the creature had no fear of me...
Perhaps it was a higher being! A bit ashamed, I set it down into the mud. It stared at me with unblinking eyes. What incredible knowledge the creature must have had. What a wondrous beast... only slightly bigger than my paws. Surely a vessel of untamed knowledge this thing was....perhaps if I were to be respectful enough and reverent enough it would forgive my rash curiosity...I lowered my head and slowly approached on all fours trying to seem humbled. And then it did the most peculiar of things.... it opened its mouth and began to utter a most discomforting "REEEEEE!"
Agh what was it doing...? Was it scared? ...I retracted my claws.... the thing still screamed....Perhaps it was not scared at all... surely It was trying to speak to me and I was unable to understand its language! Clearly it needed something of me for as I approached it made itself bigger and louder as if to say... yes come help me! Surely I could find a way to understand this creature. I lowered my snoot down even further.... only inches away from its face. The screams were quite deafening now... but it remained unfazed.
I gently scooped in up in my right paw as its bellows remained unchanged. Surely I could take it to a writing utensil and we could communicate that way. I wondered if it was more of an ink and quill or graphite type of creature.... Did it even write in common? Well not to brag... but I do know several other languages, even a few ancient ones... so I believe I can speak to it... if only I had the tools. Shortly after the creature quieted down, but It seemed frustrated with me. I took that as my sign it was time to bring it home. Perhaps it was growing impatient...
Update: I am now sitting with this creature at my desk, and it appears my humble writing utensils do not please it. I have given it free access to my cave pool and any of my food stash it likes... It does not do much other than the occasional dip in my cave pool. Perhaps it is meditating... Surely this creature is of a higher form of intelligence...? Surely....
Well, I have decided I will give it free will to come and go as it pleases and read up on religious deities....

Who is Webber?
Posted 3 years agoHi I am Webber's creator ^<^
I took heavy inspiration from the Wickerbeast species when creating webber. I wanted to create a monstersona for myself that was both cute and strong looking. Webber is still in development and I enjoy sharing the process! Webber is a 21 year old alchemy student. Webber traditionally has silverish-blue fur tones and unique frills in its mane. Currently Webber is in the process of learning to control its powers. These include, growing and retracting claws/horns... breathing through gills... and mastering alchemy. Webber will also be drastically affected by the seasons, growing extra floof in the winter, and growing extra fins in the rainy seasons. I may develop a specific form for Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. Right now Webber's design is close to what I envision for the spring phase. Webber has a very thoughtful personality and is generally reserved unless around the right beasts. Webber loves fish and aquatic animals both to eat and to keep as pets.
*Unless specified all artwork is done by me. I have no problems with people using my work for inspiration or reference just don't pretend you made it.*
My goal is to inspire others and maybe spread a smile or two.
Thanks :)
