Recommend me some cons?!
Posted 7 months agoI'd like to try to get to an extra con or two this year, namely one where I can still get a table (preferably dealer, but AA will do). There have been SO many new ones that have started since I was last active, and I seem to have no clue what all is out there anymore! I'm already attending MFM and Furpocalypse closer to the end of the year. What are some fun ones until then?
Next Cons: MFM & Furpocalypse
Posted a year agoTable & hotel secured for MFM, and hopefully Furpoc as well! Either way, I am making the long-anticipated yearly trek "home" to New England that I haven't made since pre-COVID. :[
Even more exciting is I will be attending both with my new husband-to-be. ^_^ I can't wait to see old friends again! And get back into the grind of badge drawing, hah.

See you at TFF!
Posted a year agoJust scored me a room at the main hotel for Furry Fiesta this year! Too excited, this will be my first con since before Covid... Furpocalypse 2019 to be exact. Looking forward to seeing everyone who I haven't seen in ages. ;_; I'm going to try to snag me an Artist's Alley table at least one of the days. So yeah... hooray! ^_^
Oh, and I'll be bringing my strawberry dragon suit. :D

Denofwolves.com no longer mine! (and big life changes)
Posted 4 years agoIt's a bittersweet feeling, but within the next few days my website will no longer exist- I've sold my domain denofwolves.com (for a quite unexpected price!). I have not being doing suit work in quite some time and, honestly, I'm not sure if/when I will again. So it was not as hard to part with as I thought it would be. Still rough, but, it's just a name. In the mean time, I plan on focusing more on art... and picking a new domain to reserve for this and/or future endeavors.
Other than that, a little over 4 months ago, my last relationship of 10 years came to a rough end, and I've since being trying to pick up the pieces and rebuild, well, myself. I'm already feeling great, and have even (rather unexpectedly) stumbled into some newfound love. Someone who is an equal, if not stronger than I am. Someone stable, mature, and at the same time a hell of a lot of fun. Someone who is all the things I never knew I needed. Okay, I could get pretty mushy here, and I'm not a mushy person. >.< So I'll just stop there and say expect pics of my wolf with a cat. 😋

Aahh...what happened?!
Posted 5 years agoFA is all new and...there are shinys? o.o When did this happen?! Guess I've been away a while (again). I will submit art again soon, I promise. My life has taken a big shift since the beginning of last year. Bought the new business (pet sitting), and it has been going well. Not having suit commissions to work on (for the time being) has, I hate to admit, been a big stress relief. Lord knows I have plenty of other stressors... D; Plus I really have been wanting to shift my focus back to art...maybe suits again, I'm still not sure. Will have to wait and see how things are after I buy a house....! (later this year if all goes well)
Oh, then there is the fact that I have acquired a total of THREE PARROTS now, and two of them take up a good portion of my work room. I think I've turned into a crazy bird lady. >.< I never would have imagined I'd enjoy keeping birds this much, but after one, it just kind of snowballs!

Need a room at Furpocalypse?!
Posted 6 years agoWell I've got a room with space!! Looking for 3-4 people to join. Reply here or PM with Telegram/email/cell # for contact. Room is at the main hotel, Thurs-Mon. Everyone will split cost equally.
Lack of Fursuit-Making & Future Plans
Posted 6 years agoNo, I haven't stopped making fursuits! At least I hope not... ! D: What I DID do was purchase a business at the beginning of the year; a pet sitting company I'd already been working for for quite some time. It was a no-brainer choice on my part, and has been going really well. In the beginning it sucked up quite a bit of my time, what with transferring the website, logo change, events, marketing, social media, etc etc, lots of business stuff. I also have employees (independent contractors), so that adds a whole 'nother aspect of things to deal with. :O It's seven months later now, and there are STILL little things here and there I haven't gotten to! But it is far less hectic than it was in the beginning, at least, and still expecting everything to calm down a bit more and fully stabilize.
That, on top of getting the bird (whose cage has replaced my casting table in my work room), has left me with nearly zero time, let alone motivation, to do any artsy stuff. OH, and let's not forget the SIX CATS THAT HAVE BEEN IN MY HOUSE FOR THE PAST THREE MONTHS. Oh god that was awful...and I love cats! D; So, a pregnant momma had found her way into my garage, was stuck in there for 2 days before I found out she was there, then had kittens. Long story short, I end up fostering them until they could go to the local animal shelter (way longer than I was originally told I would be keeping them). They are finally gone as of two days ago, and oh god I couldn't be happier.
Speaking of cats...I lost my 13 y/o Spuds at the beginning of April, very unexpectedly. That was hard. as. hell. It is still hard. He was my little shadow. And, I just, I need to stop right there because I really do not want to start crying right now...
So yeah... It's been a wild, bumpy, stressful, hectic year for me thus far. ;_; I have even been attempting to work on a somewhat-personal head, for a local 12y/o girl, which I've REALLY been wanting to finish...and that has been sitting on my table barely furred, un-touched for almost 4 months now. As soon as I finish THAT, I think I will be ready to take a commission again. Full suits, anyway. I am always able (at least NOW I am for sure!) and ready to take on piece commissions. Also artwork.

I have a tablet PC now... and a bird!
Posted 6 years agoI'm no sure which I'm more excited about... ! So, I finally snagged myself a Surface Pro (5, 2017 version)...I love it! I wish I could get the pen pressure to work in Photoshop on it. :/ But, Autodesk Sketchbook is a pretty darn nifty alternative.
Additionally, I was super-duper lucky in acquiring an African Gray parrot not too long ago. His elderly mom could no longer keep him due to her declining health. So I got him with cage & all for free. He is a 27 year old toddler, who is also a sweetheart, and I love him to bits. May start drawing birbs in the near future. ^_^

Microsoft Surface (Pro/Go) Question
Posted 7 years agoSo I've been considering getting one of these newfangled hybrid tablet/laptop things for arting purposes. I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions and/or experience with using any of them. Drawing is the only thing I'd want it for, so I'm wondering if the Go would work just fine...? I don't necessarily need something big (I looked at the Go's and that size was fine). The most intensive program I'd use on it would be Photoshop. I tried to do some research, and apparently at worse I would want to use a different pen, other than Microsoft's.
Furpocalypse Roomies Wanted!
Posted 7 years agoSo I'm actually looking for roomies ahead of time this year, hah! Anyone interested, please PM me. :) And as for the usuals that have joined me the past few years...you are more than welcome again!
ATTN: Nintendo DS users from TFF!
Posted 7 years agoSo I had my DS on me all throughout the con. Anyone who found out about my page via Street Pass, you get a FREE SKETCH! One character, nothing crazy. Just let me know your Mii's name so I can find you. :)
Wanted: Furpocalypse Roomies !!
Posted 8 years agoWhat the title says! I have a completely open, 2-bed room. :) Taking 4 or 5 roomies to keep costs down, and I can provide an inflatable queen bed if needed. Reply or PM with your contact info!
Holy hell... well hi there.
Posted 8 years agoHere I am! I promise. *_* Life has been, uh, nutty... to say the least. :/ I gave the whole rebooting my motivation to a draw a good try, I really did... it worked for a small time. Now I am trying again!! However for now I have a partial suit and another head in the works, so, yeah... proof I am working on SOMETHING very very soon. :3
Oh and I went to TFF last month, the con was fabulous as per usual. I did a LOT of badges there. Like, way more than I've done at a con in a long time. It was revitalizing. I do want to draw so stinking bad, but, still lacking that inspiration. I'm just lost at WHAT to draw. Fanart, my char, new chars, friend's chars? I'm just so lost, I dunno why. And still not quite sure how to get out of this rut.

MFM Room Needed!
Posted 9 years agoI don't suppose there happens to be anyone reading who is going (and has space?!)
TFF was a blast... and got a PC tablet & Sketchbook Pro!
Posted 9 years agoWent to Furry Fiesta this past weekend, tons of fun once again. I am definitely making it one of "my" cons. :3
I also don't think I ever posted about a cool little PC Tablet I acquired a little while ago (THANKS Patreon supporters!!) :D It's amazing, it's an older one but dang, it does what it does what it's made for. It's made by Motion Computing, model 1700. It comes with Vista but I slapped Win8 on it and then 10, put in it's max 4gb RAM, and it runs great... for art'ing purposes and internet use only, anyway! If you look on ebay you can snag them for around $100, and it is MORE than worth it.
I also got Sketchbook Pro to put on it. Photoshop runs fine, but without a keyboard, and Sketchbook being made FOR touchscreens, it's just amazing. That program just blows my mind... if you have drawing tablet, you have to just try it! The best part is it gets me doodling like crazy. I post a lot of random things to Patreon, if anyone is interested in supporting... *winkwinknudgenudge* I am thoroughly happy with people pledging just $1. :3

MFM.... bye!
Posted 10 years agoOh right, leaving for that con here in a bit. *_* Hopefully I shall come back feeling more arty and such. I already kind of am; I've placed random sketchbooks around the house. I also took on another suit commission I'm super excited about... a plush and squishy looking saber-tooth kitty! Eeee, I don't do enough felines.
But yeah, yay con. Feeling good about this one.

HELP with art block... ideas? Exercises? Anything? :(
Posted 10 years agoGod I hate hate haaattee this. I am so terrified to pick up my pencil, and I don't know WHY. I think about it, and worry a little that I just won't be able to think of anything, or anything "good", or it won't be of any help to my block, anxiety after anxiety... and then just blank.
I need a plan, or a schedule... draw this on this day, or this much in this amount of time, or something... something I can stick to. My "newest" sketchbook is seven years old and it's not even half full. ;__;
I know some people do the sketch-a-day thing, and even that sounds a bit intimidating to me. Maybe a sketch every other day? On certain days of the week? Should I pick a subject, find a random subject somehow, just copy some other art maybe?!? Ugh I have NO idea, I don't think anyone realizes how lost I feel :[
I've just, lost it... and not my inability to draw, I can still go to cons and pump out people's badge orders like nothing. But when I'm sitting with myself, there's just, nothing there.
Did fursuits burn me out?! Did life burn me out... did relationships burn me out?! :/
Well, at least MFM in a few weeks. Hopefully I will be able to dredge up some creativity there...

Updated commission info
Posted 10 years agoOh yeah, so I remembered FA had that nifty "Commission Info" link... I went ahead and created/added stuff to mine. :3 So if you're looking to get art, that's the place to go!
Also, if you want to get a sketch while helping me out big time, and/or get in on a fursuit commission, check out my patreon here; https://www.patreon.com/whitewolf ^_^

Help, I need to start drawing again! L> patrons :3
Posted 10 years agoWelp, I thought I would give this thing a try;
https://www.patreon.com/whitewolf
It's a new site where you get to pledge an amount of your choice (deducted on the 1st of every month) to various types of "creators", and you can cancel your pledges at any time! I don't ever like asking for money, but it's a unique concept and I get to offer rewards to anyone who's willing to support me; which will give me yet more excuses to draw. :D
It's been pretty bad... I seriously am at a loss when it comes to sitting down to sketch. :/ I fear sometimes I've lost all my creativity, and when I do have an idea, it's still hard to find that motivation to back it up. Then I start hating myself for it, and it just makes it worse. So I'm hoping this will help... it ought to. Just seeing $1 there will amaze me. ;_;

Crazy Dec, getting back to work. And TFF... !
Posted 10 years agoWell. I have done absolutely nothing in the way of art & fursuit work all of December. Between merchandising job, Dunkin Donuts, and pet-sitting for four families over 2 weeks, I've barely had a chance to sit and relax myself. x_x And that was after JUST barely finishing Pete's Darkphox suit by the skin of my teeth. Finally able to sleep in the past 2 days tho, taking full advantage of it. :3 Now it's time to wrangle some commissions...
Looks like I have 2 partials coming in. I also need to work on the hubby's, which I've been saying I'd do for the past, oh, 4 years... sigh. Might take on another partial or two, depends what they are.
I will also be attending TFF next month, with a dealer's table. So excite! Heard so many good things about this con. Who else is going?!

Nope, no MFF...
Posted 11 years agoEveryone keeps asking. ;_; It's nice to feel wanted though. <3 TFF is next for me!
Furpocalypse Review... oh and F3 con?!
Posted 11 years agoIt was fabulous!! Nearly NO differences from Furfright, I say it did its predecessor justice. So proud of and thankful for all the new con chairs for keeping it going. <3
Now to crank out that suit in time for MFF... x_x Oh and I'm also going to this little bitty con called F3 in Springfield, MO, which is only a 2 1/2hr drive from me, in 2 weeks... oi oi.

Furpocalypse creeping up....
Posted 11 years agoSo excited, can't wait to see what the "new" con is like. So much thanks and hugs to
meetoo for offering room space in exchange for a set of fursuit parts! Until then, I am plugging away to get the majority done of one of two suits I have to do in time for MFF, before I leave, so busy busy busy... sigh, still wish I had more time(and motivation) to draw! Especially since my offering of original prints is severely lacking. :/

Dat new icon...
Posted 11 years agoI just had to get one,
p-aei makes teh cute. :3 Besides the fact I've not changed it in forever... I don't know why, really bad at drawing art for myself.

Looking for Furpocalypse room!
Posted 11 years agoI should probably get on that shouldn't I. *_* Anyone anyone ?!
