I should probably do more finished work.

It's just like all I do is sketch because that's the fun part to me, lmao.
but people don't really care for my lame sketches.

I mean, it's obvious the discrepancy between the amount of views I have and the lack of watchers.
I just guess if I put the time in to do more finished work people would be more interested in my art.

I'm currently not going out of the way to advertise commissions because I don't want to take a load on before I graduate (in the beginning of May)

I've been giving a thought to starting a comic.. not sure what about or what people would be interested in.

I'm also totally interested in writing something post-apoc or sci-fi themed.

Have you ever had like.. a mental breakdown when realizing that it's okay if you don't amount to anything and that you can do anything you want because you don't HAVE to do anything?


I've had this issue growing up, where I've always told myself that I'll be better than my siblings that I'll "amount to something" and I think I've just had the realization that it doesn't fucking matter as long as I'm satisfied with where I am and doing things that I enjoy.

And unfortunately that ends up being channeled into my art, this feeling of "it needs to become something". I've become convinced that my art needs to amount to something, needs to succeed, needs to x, y, z. When in truth it doesn't. My art doesn't have to be ANYTHING. It can just be a leg or a butt or some colors on a canvas for all that it matters.

I had a long and emotional talk with my partner last night, and let me tell you there was a lot of crying while I told myself that it's okay because this has been something that my entire life has been based around and that I'm having to come to terms with. I kind of feel like I must not be the only one in this boat and there are other people who feel the same way, and I just want to say

ITS OKAY.
ITS OKAY to not live up to other people's expectations.
ITS OKAY to not live up to your OWN expectations.
ITS OKAY to not finish an art piece because it doesn't feel right.


Don't start an art piece already focusing on the finished product.
Experiment, have fun with it, enjoy the ride.

1.) A freebie stream sometime in the afternoon/evening with sketch freebies for those who participate and hang out with me (mic will be on and there will be music 'n stuff)

2.) a YCH raffle in which you get one entry by commenting on it, and additional entries for sharing it (an additional entry up to 5 by sharing it on tumblr, deviantart, facebook, twitter, things of that nature).
