Psalm 58 Living Bible (TLB)
58 1-2 Justice? You high and mighty politicians don’t even know the meaning of the word! Fairness? Which of you has any left? Not one! All your dealings are crooked: you give “justice” in exchange for bribes.[a] 3 These men are born sinners, lying from their earliest words! 4-5 They are poisonous as deadly snakes, cobras that close their ears to the most expert of charmers.
6 O God, break off their fangs. Tear out the teeth of these young lions, Lord. 7 Let them disappear like water into thirsty ground. Make their weapons useless in their hands.[b] 8 Let them be as snails that dissolve into slime and as those who die at birth, who never see the sun. 9 God will sweep away both old and young. He will destroy them more quickly than a cooking pot can feel the blazing fire of thorns beneath it.
10 The godly shall rejoice in the triumph of right;[c] they shall walk the bloodstained fields of slaughtered, wicked men. 11 Then at last everyone will know that good is rewarded, and that there is a God who judges justly here on earth.
Please Pass This On:
Are you a Christian Democrat? Do you know what you support when voting Democrat?
1. You support the ripping apart little babies from the womb at the end of pregnancy
2. You support the transgender agenda allowing boys and men to be with your little girl when using the restroom
3. You support the homosexual community to file suit against your fellow Christian businessmen or women because they want to honor God's laws.
4. You support almost every evil found in the Bible because the Democratic platform is totally Anti-God.
How can you say you are a Jesus Christ Following Christian when you support the works of Satan by Voting Democrat?
For further information, consult your Bible.
This note was not signed. so, My answers?
Yes, I do.
1. I support the abortion of tubular pregnancies that would kill the woman if allowed to come to term.
2. The transgender men and boys who go into the women's bathroom usually have breasts themselves by the time they are that far along in their transforming from Male to Female. They want to Pee. who are we to say that they cannot?
3. When you are a Christian Businessman or woman, and you open to the general public, you must be prepared to serve to those who have no regard for your faith. An atheist has no regard for faith and thinks you are silly/stupid for believing in Magic Sky man. As a Businessperson, you must serve them too.
4. I'd like you to be more specific here. Democrats do not support Child Sacrifice, Worshiping Idols, or selling your wife for two cows a goat and a pair of chickens.
I feel a little Validated in my faith with this, Democrats vote for Food Stamps, as Jesus fed thousands and never asked for a penny. Democrats are for healthcare for the poor, as Jesus healed the sick and never once asked for a means test when he did so. In my eyes, Democrats follow Jesus's teaching more than the Republicans.

a proper homage picture in memory of Vicky Wyman
Posted 7 years agoWhen Mel Blanc passed away, a picture was done of the Warner Brothers cast all bowing their heads around a single empty microphone on a stand. I kind of think the same thing would be appropriate for Vicky's characters all standing around an empty art table. Who would be a good enough artist to get her style right?
Amateur Extra Class Achieved!

Posted 7 years agoI expect my president to be intelligent—much more intelligent than me.
I expect my president to be of strong character and beyond reproach; ethically, morally.
I expect my president to be experienced; experienced in the nuances and subtlties of politics, diplomacy, relationships, and legalities.
I expect my president to be compassionate for ALL the American people and humanity in general.
I expect my president to understand the tenets and spirit of the Constitution and not to blatantly, intentionally, or maliciously violate it or self-interpret its intent.
I expect my president to be honest and truthful and kind.
I expect my president to put the interests of the American majority above the interests of the party.
I expect my president to denounce, defy, defend against, and legislate against those persons, organizations, governments, corporations, or institutions who promote or propagate hate, violence, racism, anarchy, greed, environmental damage, human rights, or other forms of oppression or disparity.
I expect my president to be bold and articulate.
I expect my president to surround him/herself with smart, experienced, competent men and women, and to demand a high standard of ethics for the entire staff.
I expect my president to lead when the needs of the people most need leadership; to compromise when the needs of the people most need compromise; and to be equally humble in both situations.
There have been few persons who can meet all my expectations. We are humans—with our imperfections, mistakes, and lives we have lived. Some presidents have certainly been better than others—even with their flaws. Yet, what I expect from a president mostly defines some of the greatest leaders our country has ever had (D and R) at some of the most challenging times.
It is not where we are today. The bar has been lowered to such an unconscionable level (and disgustingly accepted at such) that we may never fully recover from the divisive discontent brought on by this president. Where will we as a country draw the line next time? —it looks like we’ve already passed rape, treason, and corruption as acceptable.
Murder? Is that our low bar now? The party of ‘family values, Christianity, and morals’ no longer exists and they have no legitimate claim to such any longer. I dare they even try at this juncture. Insulting.
No, I don’t expect to change many minds here-those entrenched in Trumps camp will follow him to the earths end. My scribe is simply to offer some critical thought on where we should be, where we’ve been, where we are now, and where we’re heading.

Art Bell.
Posted 7 years agoWord has come to me that Art Bell, Radio talk show host of Coast to Coast AM, and ham radio operator has passed away. This is a sad day for many of us who worked the graveyard shift and only had him to listen to for awake-keeping. his call sign, W6OBB, will now be appended W6OBBSK, the prosign SK to denote Silent Key, which is how Hams regard each other's passing. Godspeed, Mr. Bell. you made us laugh and think.
My favorite one was after he had stopped doing the regular show, and only did fill ins. At that time, George Noory had become the day to day host, and he had attracted some nit who was calling in claiming to be a Demon. he would modulate his voice, and would terrorize George only on Fridays. Well, one Friday he was sick, and Art filled in for him. Nit calls, and Art immediately mods his voice to sound deeper and louder, and tells the guy off. he never came back to haunt George after that.

Handicapped Fantasy Creatures.
Posted 8 years agoWhile browsing Failbook today, I came across an interesting entry from someone calling themselves cOffeekitten. Mermaids in Wheelchairs and other fantasy creatures disabled. the other concepts were here.
Religious Vampires trying to balance their ideologies with their needs.
Sirens learning sign language to be able to communicate without enchanting anyone.
Fairies who can't fly.
Spirits helping save lives of people from fires and other natural disasters because they can access areas too dangerous for the living. (I can see a dead ham radio operator in this role)
Dragons becoming foster parents and providing super safe homes for hordes of children until they grow up.
Female werewolves with facial and body hair not letting anyone make them feel bad about it.
Fae snatching children from abusive families and raising them in safety while the changeling wreaks havoc.
Liberated Genies using their powers to fight for human rights.
Witchy cooking shows where witches try to make specific potions or find creative magical solutions for problems.
Psychic psychologists and medical doctors who are able to figure out exactly how to help even if their patient is non-verbal, young, or afraid of being honest because they are with an abuser.
Psychic teachers knowing just what to do to help students with learning disability.
I can think of several folks in these categories. A torn winged dragon, a blind Cyclops. a broken tailed Manticore. a broken horned Unicorn, a gryphon with a broken beak. a Hippocampus with ick, a Hippogryph with hoof & mouth, a Pegasus with a feather wasting disease. a Salamander who's fire has gone out, but are still alive. a team of Gargoyles protecting churches from evil spirits, a changeling with stretch marks. A Kelpie afraid to go back into the water. (or living in a hot state)
We never think of these creatures with handicaps, always at full strength.
I am sure there are stories of these with issues. though I don't know them all.

On waiting for insperation.
Posted 8 years agoThe Advice I like to give young artists or really anybody who'll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work.
All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you're sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you will reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work. and I find that's almost never the case.

Posted 8 years agoI have noted the rise of nazi people into the furry fandom, calling themselves Alt-Fur or Furry Raiders.
There is no room in Furry Fandom for these people. Why? there are no lesser people to look down upon, no evil people (except for them) to guard against. I read with rapt attention authors from all over the world. Hate any one of them? what ever for? no. instead, I would like to see the ghosts of the Greatest Generation rise up and put them down. some might claim well, they were not furry. I beg to differ. Yes. they were. Sgt Fury (can now be Furry) and his Howling Commandos. Many of the WW2 companies had wolves as their mascots. I see no reason why companies of Ghostly Wolves could not rise up against these neo-nazi creeps who want to put America down.

Con Report: Furlandia 2017
Posted 8 years agoThis is my report of my attending Furlandia 2017, Age of Prosperity
I left early Friday morning, and had business in Portland and Tigard (HRO has $15 of my con money)
completing those errands had me arriving at the Sheraton at about 2:30pm, and as soon as I walk in the door, a staffer asks if I have had water, and leads me to a drink cooler. Evidently this year high attention was paid to prevention of overheating. (the temps were 80-90F all three days) I got my Badge, con book and lanyard, and promptly hit the Dealer's room, visiting Mary Lowd and Madison Keller, a Pair of furry authors that I know. I took in a pair of panels on Friday, Writing Furry with Janine "Demi" Scott, and after that one in the same room, What is a word worth? by one Rackleather, which discussed the value of writing as a way to make your living. There was not a whole lot for me to do after that, as I do not Dance. I spent the night in the back of my pick up, and learned that a sheet over foam really helps.
I missed a panel that I wanted to go to, Writing: How to make ideas work, for the chore of going down to Powell's books and getting Lore of the Unicorn, by one Odell Shepard, which seem to be a collection of the early fables regarding Unicorns. (my recently chosen area of study) got back in time for How to Word good with Lowd, Keller and Garrett Marco. about writing and grammar, and then on to Attraction to Fictional Characters, with Tim Bloom. evidently he was doing a study for a university and needed us to fill out a survey. I mentioned Empress Alicia, Krystal and Gazelle, and no one knew Alicia. The Coyotl awards came after, which seem to be a Furry Hugo award, stayed for that, only had heard of Mary and Madison's work, clapped anyway. A little after this, the musician GoH's put on a small concert, (Fox Amoore and Pepper Coyote) general musical mayhem, mixing of a lot of songs. Second night in the Truck. got woken up at 0400 by a team bus parking and loudly idling. can't help it. it's a 24 hour hotel. ate some of the food I had brought with me, (Peppered Elk Jerky is rather tasty) went back to sleep till the heat woke me up. I went back into the hotel, picked up some Sunday deals,
Attended the Hiss and purr, (con evaluation) and went to Writing Life with Keller, Lowd and Marco, and of course, Closing Ceremonies. Hugged some freinds goodbye and left, looking for a gas station and put $20 in the gas tank and headed home. looking forward to next year's con. 975 attended this year. I think we are getting to be a major con in our own right. and I attended from Con 0.

Con Report: Everfree NW.
Posted 8 years agoI did a one day venture to Everfree NW. The Pacific Northwests My Little Pony Convention.
I arrived well early, and was prepared to pay the $35 for the single day. I was Not prepared to pay the $10 additional for parking. I had three goals, to meet Tim Fay, (Timpany) KT, Kinky Turtle, and Dana Simpson. Of those, I only was able to meet Dana Simpson. I had hoped to get one of her books, but she had sold out early. I had someone tweet to Tim, but he was unable to respond. I had thought to get an autograph from one of the Voice Actors, but the Con wanted $40 for the privilege. I picked up a Princess Luna Cutiemark pin, some smallish art cards, (to my surprise, there was an Amalthiea art card from The Last Unicorn there) I made that artist's day by wearing my one MLP t-shirt, the My Little Unicorn shirt that kinda mixed the two franchises, which was good for her, as she had not seen anyone she did not know wear that design. Picked up assorted little other sundries, but on the whole, I can give the whole thing a great big Meh. There will have to be compelling reasons to go next year.

8 years of suffering.
Posted 8 years agoOne of many, many infuriating parts of having Trump as the President is the insufferable smugness of conservatives. When they're not telling you to "suck it up, snowflake" or trying to sell you fake news, they're gloating: "We suffered for eight years under that tyrant Obama. Now it's your turn."
One man, Scott Mednick had enough with his Republican acquaintances and penned this powerful response:
"I am surprised you would wish suffering upon me. That, of course, is your right, I suppose. I do not wish harm on anyone. Your statement seems to continue the 'US v THEM' mentality. The election is over. It is important to get past campaigning and campaign rhetoric and get down to what is uniting, not dividing and what is best for ALL Americans.
There will never be a President who does everything to everyone's liking. There are things President Obama (and President Clinton) did that I do not like and conversely there are things I can point to that the Presidents Bush did that I agree with. So I am not 100% in lock step with the outgoing President but have supported him and the overall job he did.
And, if you recall, during the Presidential Campaign back in 2008 the campaign was halted because of the "historic crisis in our financial system." Wall Street bailout negotiations intervened in the election process. The very sobering reality was that there likely could be a Depression and the world financial markets could collapse. The United States was losing 800,000 jobs a month and was poised to lose at least 10 million jobs the first year once the new President took office. We were in an economic freefall. So let us recall that ALL of America was suffering terribly at the beginning of Obama's Presidency.
But I wanted to look back over the last 8 years and ask you a few questions. Since much of the rhetoric before Obama was elected was that he would impose Sharia Law, Take Away Your Guns, Create Death Panels, Destroy the Economy, Impose Socialism and, since you will agree that NONE of this came to pass, I was wondering: Why have you suffered so?
So let me ask: Gays and Lesbians can now marry and enjoy the benefits they had been deprived of. Has this caused your suffering?
When Obama took office, the Dow was 6,626. Now it is 19,875. Has this caused your suffering?
We had 82 straight months of private sector job growth – the longest streak in the history of the United States. Has this caused your suffering?
Especially considering where the economy was when he took over, an amazing 11.3 million new jobs were created under President Obama (far more than President Bush). Has this caused your suffering?
Obama has taken Unemployment from 10% down to 4.7%. Has this caused your suffering?
Homelessness among US Veterans has dropped by half. Has this caused your suffering?
Obama shut down the US secret overseas prisons. Has this caused your suffering?
President Obama has created a policy for the families of fallen soldiers to have their travel paid for to be there when remains are flown home. Has this caused your suffering?
We landed a rover on Mars. Has this caused your suffering?
He passed the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act. Has this caused your suffering?
Uninsured adults has decreased to below 10%: 90% of adults are insured – an increase of 20 Million Adults. Has this caused your suffering?
People are now covered for pre-existing conditions. Has this caused your suffering?
Insurance Premiums increased an average of $4,677 from 2002-2008, an increase of 58% under Bush. The growth of these insurance premiums has gone up $4,145 – a slower rate of increase. Has this caused your suffering?
Obama added Billions of dollars to mental health care for our Veterans. Has this caused your suffering?
Consumer confidence has gone from 37.7 to 98.1 during Obama's tenure. Has this caused your suffering?

From an objective standpoint it would appear that the last eight years have seen some great progress and we were saved from a financial collapse. Things are not perfect. Things can always be better. We are on much better footing now than we were in 2008.
I look forward to understanding what caused you to suffer so much under Obama these last eight years."

Normally we would not have to worry about such things if a regular righty had gotten in. I dont think the bush or the shrub would have done any of these things. and Cheeto Benito turned off the reorder when talking to Putin. (tinkle tinkle, little Czar, Putin put you where you are) A crime that he should have known better than to do. So, what is it gonna take for the right to say enough, and impeach this twit before he ruins America worse?

Posted 9 years agoI am not mad at you that Clinton lost. I am unconcerned that we have different politics. And I don't think less of you because you vote one way and I vote another. No. I think less of you because you watched an adult mock a disabled person in front of a crowd and still supported him. I think less of you because you saw a man spouting clear racism and backed him. I think less of you because you listened to him advocate for war crimes, and still thought he should run this country. I think less of you because you watched him equate a woman's worth to her appearance and got on board. It isn't your politics I find repulsive. It is your personal willingness to support racism, sexism, and cruelty. You sided with a bully when it mattered and that is something I will never forget. So, No... you and I won't be "coming together" to move forward or whatever. Trump disgusts me, but it is the fact that he does not disgust you that will stick with me long after this.

this is from a post by one Chris Brecheen, and I have taken some of the cuss words out.
Okay, first of all, yes, you did. Yes, you absolutely effing well DID. You dressed up in Revolutionary war LARP costumes, made your open, telegraphed political goal to do everything you absolutely could to make the country ungovernable, literally burned effigies, and talked about taking the country back for 8 damn years.
Secondly, Obama never ran on a platform of registering all Christians because of their ties to hate crimes, or had a VP who liked to electrocute straight people until they became gay. Your coming for our guns/socialism were not literally based on EXPLICIT campaign promises.
And you would have voided every bowel and bladder in your collective movement at once if he'd put a Black Panther as his chief strategist back in 2008.
Hell, you lost your shit when he said into a hot mic that you clung to religion and guns.
Quit adding being absolutely disingenuous to your blatant hypocrisy. This is not business as usual, and we are not gonna treat it like it is.
Me Adding:
so No, we will not Just Accept the new racist order, we will not accept the bigotry, the hatred, the sexism. We expect the Cheeto in chief to display these qualitys in short order, as he no longer has to hunt for votes. We will oppose you as is our patriotic duty. We will fight for what we think is right, just like you did. this time, you won. next time, you might not. think about that before you namecall.

First day of the Resistance.
Posted 9 years agoToday marks the Inauguration of Donald J Trump as President of the United States. He has already failed to divest his billions from himself before going to office. Part of the Constitution requires this, lest the president act on behalf of his businesses while in office. Lets see of the Republicans Notice.
I myself am waiting for him to act against the people I know. I am sure that will come shortly.
I fear that now he has the nuclear codes, he will use them. it's now his call. and he behaves like a 5 year old. Makes me wonder. Where in the white house do you think he has put the first dancing pole?

Furs in Aridzona.
Posted 9 years agoI have been way tardy in talking about this person. there is a artist in Aridzona that now goes by the name of Joshua "Siskmarek" Barney. She is undergoing terrible handling as a result of misapplied justice at the hands of the Arizona sheriff's office. Apparently he was chatting, getting to know a girl, and backed away when he found out she was underage. Normal, right? well, the parents found out, prosecuted, and even though the guy backed away, and never even met the girl in question, he has to do time, rehabilitation, and is banned from the internet for life. his freinds, however, have banded together and have created a twitter account for him, and in his name. this is at #justice4sisk
if anyone can do something for her, she could use the help.

The people have spoken
Posted 9 years agoAnd I will not stand in their way, and with that measure I will give President Trump the same Respect and Support that the Republican Party gave to President Obama. I pray the Equality and Fairness the Republicans showed will reflect well on them in the coming years. (and give the Capital Steps a ton of material to spoof and parody)
